Chapter 15- Prefects Duties and Odd Jobs
Hogwarts
If there was one thing to know about the duties of been a Hogwarts Prefect was the fact that it could come with some qualms, aside from the responsantibilities that were coming with it. The position for some however was described to be one not very desirible especially when it comes to the people who were known for causing trouble saying that it was ruining the fun if one would quote Fred and George while the ones who were aspiring to be prefects of course saw things differently. However in the case of others who had to bend the rules with the purpose of helping people it was another thing. And that was Harry's case now, he in truth never had the ambition of becoming a prefect after defeating Voldemort, he was glad to be ride of him at last and to somehow end Hogwarts in somehow normal circumstances despite been several hiccups here and there. Howeve there was one aspect to him now been a prefect, he was now nicknamed by some Harry-rule-sticker when on prefect duty, some would say that he was really a zelot sometimes and acted as a deputy to the decision made by the faculty and the head boys and head girls. Many now believe that Dumbledore made him prefect with the intent of been a figure of authority among students and would force them to follow the rules, on that front he was right. What he didn't realized probably is that he didn't expect him to become one who will start to be a rule sticker, but luckily not in the extrems. Didn't took many points but he had the tendency of giving detentions. Such was the case now after getting 3 third year students to professor McGonagall after battling among themselves with water spells and he was splashed.
"Now go dry yourselves. Good thing you didn't done this near the library." Said professor McGonagall as the student exited the class with the detention of cleaning the water.
"Can't believe they could do such a thing, water spells in the corridors." Harry commented.
"You weren't much different from them at one point Mr. Potter; do you remember the second year?" McGonagall asked.
"It's not like we wanted to make such an entry and land in the Whomping Willow." Harry commented not liking or wanting to remember what happened then when they had to use a flying car to get there after Dobby closed the barrier.
"In any case I do have to admit that you weren't with using water spells in duels in the school corridors. However cleaning the corridor they wetted and the boats in the boat house for this Friday and on Saturday. You could have easily only taken 10 points from each of them instead of 5." McGonagall said.
"It is better for them to clean the mess they made. All of them might have been from different houses and not Gryffindor but better not saw more conflict among ourselves." Harry said.
"Indeed, especially due to the fact those students, from all houses, including Slytherin participated in the defense of Hogwarts a year." Professor McGonagall said noticing that she somehow hit a nerve; she knew that Harry was trying not to remember those events due to wanting to somehow not think of his fame that had gone through the roof especially after the incident when he arrived. However aside from that she couldn't help but notice that in the year prior to the attack with the vision of the horocruxes her Gryffindor student started to develop some ice needles in his heart which really was bringing some worry, especially that she found out from Granger (who told her in secret at the beginning of the year) of what else he had seen aside from the ways of defeating the dark lord "But beyond that I heard that miss Sparkle had given you advice on joining the midterm N.E.W.T.S didn't she?"
"Yes professor she told me before Halloween and I immediately decided to join, the D.A. actually became dedicated for taking those midterm exams now." Harry said.
"Turning the D.A. from an organization dedicated for defending to one dedicated to learning for the exams I would call it a normal positive development despite the native problem. Yet don't you consider that you should try to take some things a bit easy, an eight year was introduced also with the purpose for a second chance at N.E.W.T.S if one isn't satisfied. I don't encourage students to not study but sometimes one needs to go a bit easy." Professor McGonagall said.
"At present professor I have to say with all due respect that personally I need to somehow for a time catch up what I had lost during the years."
"Catch up? You haven't lost a single year at Hogwarts, you did quite well despite the distractions in most of the subjects. Isn't it something else?" McGonagall said but Harry only sighted and somehow the deputy headmistress somehow understood the situation.
"I see, in any case the struggles that you had are not yours alone. You should talk to your friends and to me if you need any advice seek their help or come to me. In any case Miss Sparkle has an extremely positive influent on you; it is however too bad we didn't had her as part of Hogwarts from the beginnings." Said professor McGonagall with a smile thinking of the new Gryffindor lioness.
"She has a special influence on all of us." Harry said with a smile on his face, thinking of her was melting some of the ice in his heart. "Excuse me professor." He said as he started to leave the classroom and walking the corridors before Ron came in.
"Heard of the situation you got splashed by water spells in the corridors." Ron came noticing his still wet robe.
"Already discussed their detention with McGonagall, on that department it was solved." Harry said.
"Still don't turn into a second Percy Harry." Ron said as they started walking.
"You are the Head Boy Ron, you know that your brother was head boy in his seventh year like you are now." Harry added.
"Yeah, but I am not like Percy on this department and besides don't you think some would try to break rules only to meet you or something." Ron said.
"At least I wouldn't have a fan club at school." Harry said before been stopped by 3 robots.
"Hey are you prefects?" Said one of them.
"I am a Gryffindor head boy." Ron said before noticing that the 3 of them were luckily among the veterans who were patrolling inside the school.
"Oh even better, we need you to come with us." The second one said as the 2 followed them, they literally took them across the bridge where other prefects were present Padma Patil from Ravenclaw, Hannah Abbot with Ernie Mcmillan from Hufflepuf and Tracy Davis, Slytherin prefect who replaced Pansy Parkinson from their year and even Astoria Greengrass, Daphne's younger sister also from Slytherin.
"Why have we been brought here?" Asked Ron asked.
"You will know soon." Said the third one with a somehow unpleasant voice, before a group of unnumbered droids came with the third security chief.
"Ahh so you got the ones we need for this job." Said one of the unnumbered ones with an obnoxious voice.
"Roger Roger." They said as they stood at attention.
"You are free to go back to your duties." Said TB-6 as the group went back in a hurried pace before the security chief turned to the students.
"I wish to ask the prefects and the head boy for a small task for the garrison of the school. There is a special transport coming today at the train station and because your teachers and the aurors are busy I decided to turn to you for you to do this task." He said giving them an envelope giving it to Ron.
"What is this special transport consisting in?" Asked Harry with suspicion.
"It is something for the school, you don't need to worry about that. You will be escorted there by 5 of the droids." Said the security chief as he left, splitting the group of droids, 5 with them the rest with him. The students were now moving towards the exit of the school grounds.
"This is totally off, why do we need to do errands for the garrison now?" Padma asked.
"The other 2 and the field commanders didn't ask us, wonder what he ordered now that is brought with the train and we have to sign for it." Hannah asked.
"Other fighting junk for sure and surely we might end up to feel guilty about that, whatever it might be." Astoria commented before turning to Harry.
"By the way Potter, are you alright from last Monday after the incident with the first years and the Whomping Willow?" She asked.
"I hope that the extra lectures with Professor Sprout regarding safety when dealing with dangerous and deadly plants worked." Commented Harry rubbing his shoulder remembering that event.
"It wasn't only lectures you asked in that detention." Hannah said, in any case one thing was to know last Monday this week a group of first years were playing gobstones around, right near the Whomping Willow, they didn't knew that the tree would hit anyone that comes too close. They figure out when it started to move its branches around violently and Harry had to get to them because of that, and he was hit and thrown at least 4 meters away, till he landed on the ground. Ernie Mcmillan was there and had to help him up to the hospital wing but not before Harry gave them detention at the greenhouse with Professor Sprout to give them lectures on what to do with dangerous plants, plus work in the greenhouse.
"At least they will not go near that tree for a long time." Harry said when they arrived at the train station where the train with five carriages was there, four were not for passages mind you but for transport of goods and the locomotive was black not red like the express where in the seventh carriage was reserved for security and management robots all the same model came out with a board.
"Well good day to all of you. What can be done?" Said a robot in somewhat cheering voice.
"Ahh we came to ask for the special order from one of the security chiefs." Ron said giving the envelope to the robot that immediately opened it to read and it was a bit confused.
"Aah, are you sure of this?" The robot asked.
"We might surely not be allowed to see anyways, so let's sign it and be over with." Padma said wanting to get over with it fast.
"There is a problem, what we have isn't in what is written in the envelope." The robot said before another robot came who accompanied the students came in.
"What do you mean by that?"
"It could have been a small mistake, probably a bureaucratic mishap of transport, or possibly a mistake with documents, but here we are, we are only task with delivery. Nothing can be done." Said the robot confusing everyone present.
"W-what do you mean by that?" Astoria asked.
"Well what we do know is that there is a transport for this area." He explained going to one of the carriages opening the door.
"Hey wait, the students shouldn't be allowed to see what is inside only to sign." Said another battle robot.
"They actually can. Besides it is a transport for this place." Said the robot "Now, you should take them." He opened the door to reveal to the surprise of the students and confusion.

"Sheep? A flock of sheep and three cows?" Ron asked.
"You brought a train full of sheep and cows?" Harry asked.
"Not only them." Said the droid going to the next cart that was full with roosters and chickens in cages, even some turkeys and ducks "Where do you want them to go?"
"Who in this whole galaxy made this mix up?" Asked Ernie as the droid went to the next.
"Don't complain at least it's not battle junk." Astoria said.
"Watch some of them too." The third carriage was split in half, half was with pigs and half with goats. "Especially the pigs, if you have a garden don't let them off they are known for rooting around, and now the last one."
"Harry, you need to get Hagrid. Someone made a real mess." Ron commented.
"I wonder if the next carriage contains horses or something. That will be too much." Padma said.
"Guess again." Said the robot still cheerful before the last carriage was opened and inside were bee hives. "Now who is signing for those ladies?"
"Signing for this? Hogwarts is a school not a farm." Ron said.
"Look I am sure it was a mix up somewhere, but I am only one who delivers and nothing else. Besides this transfer said here on black and white was for this area." The robot said showing him the board where the paper was fixed and it was said it was for the Hogwarts-Hogsmead area.
"Keep them busy I will get Hagrid." Harry said before Astoria caught him by the shoulder.
"Go and be quick, I am not getting stung by bees." She said and Harry started to literally run back towards the castle, however it took him a minute before he stopped to concentrate to use apparition to get him quicker to Hagrid's.
"What do we do now; we can't bring all of them to the castle?" Tracy commented before the villagers from Hogsmead came.
"Hey wish to ask do you sell some of those?" Asked a villager tracking the students' attention, Ron then came with an idea.
"Question, you were supposed to bring them here for the whole area?"
"Roger-Roger, you only need to sign, you can even sell some of them if you think it is too much I believe." He said before everyone looked at one another.
"Does anyone agree with a small sell?" Ron asked and everyone agreed.
A bit later
"Well one can't argue this transport wasn't a good one. The school needed some new roosters and chickens, a cow is good also." Hagrid said as he oversaw the rest of the animals been transported with the students, the number was reduced a bit due to the student's sale to some of the villagers that had an interest, Ron was proud of himself for sure because he now had a bag with at least 50 galleons and at least 70 silver sickles, by all cases everyone was pretty happy with the exception of the first company of droids who accompanied them, 3 of them had of course to carry an aquarium that contained some sturgeon fish. Hagrid brought at least 3 veteran droids to help carry the chickens and roosters.
"Well, it wasn't a waste of time however, can you not…." Ron started.
"Wasn't there, don't care what happened with the others. No reason for me to tell her anything." Harry said as they reached the bridge where McGonagall was talking with the other 2 security chiefs and the other veteran droids before seeing them.
"What is this, what is with those sheep, chickens and that cow?" McGonagall asked.
"You can ask one of them professor." Ron said pointing to the security chiefs who looked at him confused.
"What are you talking about?" Asked TR-10 confused.
"Your new colleagues asked for some transport, but it had been a mishap, you surely know something." Ron said.
"But we didn't ask for any transport to come today, we weren't told of anything like this." Said TG-20 before their new colleague came distraught.
"What is the meaning of this? What is with all those animals?" He asked.
"This was your transport." Tracy said confusing the robot even more.
"Can't be."
"We will figure out what was all about deputy headmistress." TG-20 said before they turned to their colleague with the droids who accompanied them(all veterans).
"You go back to your regular duties do you have any other classes for today?" McGonagall asked.
"Our last class was with professor Zecora an hour ago before this." Ron explained.
"Very well, then return to your regular duties." Said McGonagall as the student started to leave, Ron and Harry went of course towards the Gryffindor tower.
"Well some might have complained about the robots, but sometimes you never get bored with them around." Ron commented as they reached the portrait of the Fat Lady and said the password for them to enter to be greeted by Ginny, Hermione and Twilight.
"Hey heard there was a small mistake regarding some animal transport." Ginny said.
"Already heard of this?" Harry asked.
"Ginny just told us. It seems your family had a hand in this Ron." Twilight said before Ginny handed him a letter from Fred and George.

We got some news to tell, Charlie sent us a letter from his workplace in Romania where he looks after dragons, it seems some muggles from outside the Romanian space wanted to send a transport of some weapons again, we complained about what is going on to Charlie and luckily he knew some wizards who managed to get the problem solved by messing up with the documents. Hope you enjoy the surprise with the animal train, they brought what they wanted here but we made sure they wouldn't sent the stuff to you, by the look of it, seem something to harm the natives and even dad objected to it.
We believe delaying those things might be better for all at least at this time, hope they weren't too angry with this delay write to us to know what happened.

"I should have known that Fred and George will have something in this." Ron commented with a smirk.
"Wonder still what could have they wanted to bring here?" Twilight asked concerned.
"Let's be glad it didn't arrive for now, by the way hope you guys will be ready for the evening patrol in the corridors we had been paired already, the list is on the notice board." Hermione said as Ron and Harry went to look and Ron wasn't too keen. He was paired with Astoria Greengrass, Harry with Draco and Hermione with Tracy.
"We had been paired with Slytherins, seriously." Ron complained.
"It was decided at the meeting with the head boys and girls Ron, the Hufflepuff head boy and girl agreed. You should have been there today." Hermione said.
"How could I have been there when I was helping man the 'cargo' the new security chief asked? Which in truth he wasn't very happy for what he hoped." Ron said as Hermione only scoffed.
"Don't complain, it promotes inter house cooperation, it is a good thing despite the rivalry between us and Slytherin." Twilight said, by all accounts if she was a prefect she would promote those things, luckily Hermione was on her side.
"You know Twilight some say that you should be a prefect here at Hogwarts. You really would be a very good influence." Hermione said with a smile.
"Yeah too bad I can't, but I can't become great all the time."
"Actually Lavander would like to give up her prefect position, she never enjoyed it. She really considered you to take her place. Not to mention the fact that Professor McGonagall also is seeing you with appreciation due to the academic achievements you have." Harry said.
"I know but for now I will be only a regular student for now. By the way, when the next DA meeting comes we agreed to dedicate some meetings to study for the midterm N.E.W.T.S." Twilight said.
"The next one will be tomorrow, if nothing else comes in the way." Harry said.
"Well till evening comes I will go to the library really need to research for Professor McGonagall's next lesson." Twilight said.
"Wait for me Twi." Hermione said as the two left the common room.
"Those two really should be sisters." Ron commented.
Later
Evening came it seemed for some with a very fast pace especially those who weren't keen on patrolling with students from a rival house, of course even Harry had some troubles how it will be with Draco as a pair. In a sense Harry would rather want Twilight as partner if she was a prefect for the school or to be with Ron or anyone else. Despite all that he couldn't brush off the decision made by the head boys and head girls and he couldn't brush the fact that in the end Draco made the wise decision on whose side to be. Till evening came Harry and Ron had to stay with Twilight and Hermione to finish some of their work at around 7 o clock in the evening and till madam Pince sent them away back to the common room.
"Well at least we got time for the next DA meeting tomorrow." Twilight said while sitting on the couch in the common room.
"Let's hope this evening will go faster however." Ron grunted still not liking the idea of been paired with slytherin, he might have gone over the prejudice of some of them but not everyone.
"Well I believe I will wait for you here for a bit, I called Owlicious to send some letters anyways." Twilight said.
"We will see then later Twilight." Hermione said as they exited to go in the direction of the Main Hall, while walking they were greeted by the 6 of the Gryffindor battle robots who were for guarding the tower.
"Good evening prefects." The lead droid said.
"Evening." Hermione said.
"Just between us I would rather swap places with someone else on this patrol." Ron said.
"It's only for this evening Ron, we can swap when we feel like it." Harry said.
"Good thing I have you on my side." He said before they arrived in the main hall where the 3 slytherins alongside the prefects from hufflepuff and ravenclaw were, the ones who had been present when they had to come with the 'delivery' for the security chief.
"So are we ready for the rounds." Hannah asked.
"Yeah and the sooner we are finished the better." Draco said, even he didn't like very much the fact that he had been paired with Potter, he didn't had much grudge from before but still.
"Well each one of us has its area, we split and we return here, if there are complains we shall discuss when we return." Hermione said as each went near their partners who were more or less keen before going. After that they started to move around, Harry and Draco were in the area near Transfigurations right on the castle grounds.
"So, Potter lots of things in your life now." Draco asked.
"Trying only to mind my own business and if you are referring to the troubles with the 'fans' somehow I managed to have it covered." He said.
"Meaning banning people from giving you fan mail while at Hogwarts, nice rule because some of us do get it, even me." Draco said trying to sound teasing while Harry was trying to keep himself a neutral state.
"Have you really got an ice needle in your heart like some claim you got? After the fifth year's vision on how to destroy the dark lord it almost seems so." Draco asked.
"And I got a question, what made you switch sides the last year during the fight and what made some of the other slytherins motivated to fight aside from the ones who were caught in the crossfire?" Harry asked somehow probably hitting a nerve for him.
"Hmm, if you want to know the Dark Lord it seems went into a fight with some native tyrant who seemed had managed to best him hitting him several times, couldn't have ever imagined this could be possible. And he needed to replenish his forces; he wanted to recruit new followers among students in Slytherin." Draco started and his voice was turning more troubled "He literally forced them and their parents to come to him and put them to use curses on the younger first years, it was in that moment that many saw him more as a desperate one, many had to do it mostly to not be killed by him, he even forced them to torture muggles or kids that could have become students at Hogwarts. Those events were the things that broke the camel's back, not everyone was found luckily, but the people who were and were forced to do it were never the same, the news eventually spread and had come to the others turning many against him and whoever was on his side. Father had to leave the planet and stay at a friend in the Romanian space, in Romania proper till he managed to get the opportunity to come back. As for me I became a Death Eater at first thinking it was going on the family footsteps, but I quickly became disillusioned the mission Voldemort gave me of killing Dumbledore was given to me under threat of my family paying the price. It simply broke my nerve, in a sense I am glad that I didn't do what he wanted and turned on him when I did." Draco said.
"I guess everyone would do that and had a change of heart." Harry said as they came across the statue of Nightmare Moon, Zecora might have brought it here for Halloween but Dumbledore decided to keep it as another decoration for the school in the center of the school near the fountain, before Draco realized something.
"You saw the battle haven't you?" He asked tracking the attention of green eyed boy.
"That is why you saw the way to beat him early; you saw the battle because you had the connection to him." Draco said but Harry leaned on the pedestal of the statue.
"I saw…." He said taking a deep breath "And I regret nothing of what happened despite everything, at least people were saved. And one could declare that Slytherin had his named cleared now, due o many deciding to fight in the D.A even becoming members in the process now."
"Between us it was the best decision I made. And truth be told, I never wanted the power that my father craved and also I wished to have had better friends then what I had until now. I admit I was jealous of how your friendships were, the fact is Carbble and Goyle aside from the prejudices I couldn't actually call them friendships."
"Yet you did saved Goyle, while Crabble remained with Voldemort loyal, you know that. Personally I believe that you did change a lot from who you were in the past years" Harry said and of course Harry knew that despite some slytherin students fighting in and with the D.A. There had been some who weren't and truth be told at least 10 students from each house might have fallen victim to the Death Eaters attack despite the droids doing their best to keep them safe, and because of that more robots have fallen alongside aurors fighting the giants and the inferni alongside the diehard and fanatical death eaters that remained.
"Thanks." Draco said as he turned to the statue and then to Potter "You kind off did changed too you know after that vision you had before the end of the fifth year. By the way when that zebra brought this statue at Hogwarts it seems that you really took an interested in Nightmare Moon and this Lunar Princess or deity that is here. Some even said you are becoming her paladin or something."
"With the visit she paid us on Halloween, somehow it felt like we might have some things in common after Professor Zecora told us more about her history or legend." Harry said.
"It's still is weird." Draco commented.
"By the way, can we switch places however, you with Weasley and me with Astoria." Draco said.
"Sure me and Ron thought of that but for what reason?" Harry asked before noticing Draco's embarrassed face.
"I see and don't worry there is no problem in this department. But I thought Pansy was one who liked you."
"Parkinson is rather annoying plus not a good impression, Astoria on the other hand is much better I even talked with Daphne on what she likes and things like that."
"No need to say anything more." Harry said as they went back inside castle where they met the others and by the looks on their faces Ron and Astoria were behaving in a civil manner despite preferring to not talk to one another as for Tracy and Hermione they were getting along quite well and as for the others things were friendly in most cases.
"So any problem around?" Harry asked.
"No rule breaking for now and it seems no student outside the common rooms aside from us prefects." Padma said.
"We still got an hour to patrol around till we can return to the common rooms." Hermione said before Tracy noticed something at the window happening, by what appeared it was a group of droids, from what it seemed it was the new ones who were pushing the veterans outside to the forbidden forest.
"Good to know, by the way can we make swap, me with Harry and Greengrass with Malfoy?" Ron asked.
"No problem here." She said.
"Nor with me, we will have to go to the dungeons anyways." Malfoy said.
"Don't you think it isn't fair?" Hermione asked.
"We will have to go to the common rooms soon anyways." Hannah said.
"We all agree then, hey Trace what do you think?" Astoria asked before noticing their fellow serpent was nowhere.
"Trace?" Draco asked.
"Where did she go?" Harry asked before Padma noticed the girl outside running.
"There guys." She pointed.
"Why is she running?" Ron asked.
"Damn if I know, let's go after her." Ernie said as the group went outside in the direction where the slytherin prefect went, it was literally outside the main gate of the castle, by the look she was turned to her left direction staring at something.
"Tracy why did you run like that?" Hermione asked only to notice her face full of distraught.
"What happened?" Draco asked before the girl lifted her hand to point to what she was watching and the group of prefects saw what appeared to have been the site of a summary execution, what they noticed was a group of at least 8 veteran robots that seemed to had been shot, each one having a bullet hope in their chests, 3 of them had laser marks.
"By God what happened here?" Ron asked as Hermione and Hannah went to check what it had happened with them.
"Do you think it was an attack from natives like the shape-shifter or changelings?" Ernie asked.
"It wasn't natives." Hermione said casting Lumos with her wand showing what appeared to be bullet holes and laser marks. "It was from their weapons, and I don't think the natives could use their weapons, there are nowhere around."
"And it wasn't the natives I saw some of their robots taking this group here, they were literally pushed by them to be here." Tracy said.
"It must be the new ones, but why would they start doing this?" Harry said before hearing something from the forest a sound everyone knew well from last year and recently, gun fire.
"What's this?" Astoria asked.
"It came from near the forest." Hannah said.
"We have to check it out." Harry said in a way he will always remain someone who will be interested to see what was happening and would try to solve problems. As so without a second thought he went in the direction of the noise followed by the rest of the group, he didn't had to go too far into the forest because on a small dirt road he saw what one could tell were the remains of a skirmish among robots, in this case however there were more new ones then veterans that fell but there were anywhere signs of struggle and it was the same as the first ones.
"OK I am not expert in muggle gadgets but even I can tell this should not suppose to happen." Draco commented.
"Still what is going on?" Hannah asked worried before they heard something in a nearby bush and had their wands at the ready.
"Who is that, show yourself!" Harry demanded only the bush to agitate, and out from it come a robot, whose chest had the Hufflepuff crest painted on it and had his hands up.
"Oh, how glad I am, students." He said in relief this one with English accent, as he came out as the wizards lowered their wands.
"What happened here?" Ron asked.
"It's kind of a story, but better we not tell you here." He said.
"Who is we?" Padma asked.
"It's alright guys, you can come out, they left." He called as several other veteran regular battle robots were coming out, one of them was helping two robots one had the Gryffindor crest and the other the Slytherin crest on the chests they both seemed damaged a bit and they were accompanied by another one who had the Gryffindor crest and another with the Ravenclaw crest on.
"Well I was wondering where those 2 were." Ron said remarking the 2 with Gryffindor crests as Hermione used the mending charm on the damaged but still operating ones before turning to some of the others. After a few minutes the students were back at the castle with the group of robots in the main hall, Tracy and Hannah levitated the first group of robots inside before calling for a repair robot who started to work on them.
"So you say those things started when those new ones started to come around?" Harry asked the robots that they found.
"Affirmative, at first things were normal we didn't bothered each other much, however those newcomers who started to come constantly, from what we know had been used in different operations on other worlds, they were send here because some said that they had experience in situation regarding attacks like this. They started to turn annoying almost immediately, saying that we had been slacking at our duties while they could 'teach' us something on how to do things." Explained the robot.
"That almost sound like Lockheart when he was around our teachers." Ron said.
"That doesn't however explain the fighting." Hermione said.
"Well the fighting started ever since the third security chief commander came around, he seems to prefer the new ones and from what we know so far he isn't even staying here at Hogwarts, he stays separately in the makeshift commander center that was once the landing ship that brought the first garrison here, near the fort that is used for target exercises." Explained the one with the slytherin crest.
"This still doesn't add up, we saw him today when he wanted us to get his 'special cargo' who we don't know what it was and when the messengers were around." Hannah said.
"He comes only when important matters are happening, the time with the messengers was mostly to give a good impression as for the transport, and he avoided the question from the other 2 commanders. He said excused himself saying he has to go check again, saying he probably wasn't given the right manifest. But I doubt it is true since I heard some from around him boasting about getting something that would really terrify the natives to the core." Said the robot, which was among the ones who took them during the day for the task about the transport at the train station.
"Still about the idea of 'slacking' what do you mean they told you that you are slackers? You are doing your duty very well, last year was a good example of doing good and many other times." Tracy asked in a way she seemed pretty revolted by this affirmation.
"It's because this places wasn't that intensive, the fight with that terrorist, that Voldemort was hard but they simply ignore this. They boast by the fact they came from problematic places, where they would face multiple problems, a group that arrived always boasted about been from the city New Surry from the planet Avalon." Another explained.
"New Surry? That is one of the most crime riddle place in the British space. The outskirt of the city which is situating on an island is home to nefarious businesses, they say they have to use law enforcement robots from other places on the planet only to pacify armed mobsters in the muggle news." Hermione said.
"That is the problem, and they boasted about this been veterans of more raids for up to 3 to 5 years some even of other places with insurgents." Explained the robot.
"If we think that only You-Know-Who was the main problem for barely two years and due to us keeping to ourselves the natives weren't much of a problem until recently with only a few exceptions. So this world was essentially a peaceful place, not need for them to be here." Ernie said.
"They might have been sent here with the purpose of not been sent to scrap." Draco commented.
"That is now troubling, but theoretically they shouldn't be this violent, they should have been given a memory whip." Hermione said.
"We don't think they were ever given." Said a robot with the Gryffindor crest on.
"I knew that those new ones will be a problem." Ron commented.
"What can we do now?" Ernie asked.
"We need to figure out some answers." Harry asked before turning to the robots.
"Doesn't any of you know from where the new 'security chief' came from, what he did in the past." Harry asked.
"Not much aside from been operational for 5 years. One might need to take a peak at one of tablets that is carried by a field commander or the chiefs to know more when the weekly inspection is done around the school, which is tomorrow." Said the robot with the slytherin crest, and of course the prefects know that despite the jokes the students were making for the robots they wouldn't do the same thing with the security chiefs and they as prefects had the responsibility to ensure no intentional harm comes to them when they were going around the school every day. Beyond that the prefects, the head boys and girls and the faculty were the ones who were always briefed what was going around and what the garrison had to report if problems happened which in most cases was a tedious thing.
"It seems we will have to discuss this situation at the next DA meeting to figure something out. At least to make some assessment as to how bad the situation with the garrison is I wonder how many incidents like this happened so far." Hermione said.
"It's the third time." Said the engineer robot as the prefects turned to him.
"First incident like this happened an argument broke out between one veteran who participated in defense of a settlement some years ago when the shape shifters were trouble and was transferred here before the attack of the rogue ones. He went into an argument with one who boasted about battling a wild creature native on a planet in the Bellatrix system known as the velo-scorpions. Creatures the shape of the extinct velociraptor dinosaur on Earth but with the tail with a sharp end of a scorpion that inject a potent paralysis venom boasted his squad fought with a pack of ten. He wanted to say that here they are no problem with the shape-shifters but they wanted to prove a point and was beaten by other 4."
"And the second time?" Hannah asked.
"There was an incident near the Whomping Willow three day ago, they wanted to make small target practice and they provoked the tree while our veteran patrol was around, luckily they saw what was happening and left on time, but not before one to be thrown in the lake by its branches, luckily the ones who provoked this were worst." He explained finished repairing the robot.
"Well the first two times weren't that bad, but from here it is too much." Astoria said.
"Agreed, tomorrow at the DA meeting we shall think on what we could do." Hannah said before looking at the watch. "For now let's go back to the common rooms it's already late." She said as each group split to go to different directions of the common rooms.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Umbridge had something to do with this. Unfortunately she is still at the ministry, dad said she didn't approved of the robots to be placed as guards from day one since we came to this world, she would rather go with other things." Ron said.
"We are in luck that your dad managed to convince the ministry to try the robots." Hermione said as they reached the corridor towards the Gryffindor common room.
"At least they aren't that threatening as giants or trolls or dementors for that matter. I remember when Percy was home, I heard that at his job here there was talked between his colleagues and some natives, I believe hippogriffs said that for them dementors are a red line, they would never accept their use unless on extreme circumstances."
"Whatever it is, we have to make sure those incidents stop, with the native problems we can't accept the garrison to be at knives with one another." Harry said as they came before the portrait of the Fat Lady.
"Password." The portrait said.
"Luna." Harry answered and the door opened for them to enter and turn in for the night and they were greeted by Twilight.
"How was the patrol?" Twilight asked.
"Well Twilight the DA meeting tomorrow will unfortunately have to discuss another issue aside from the NEWT midterms." Harry said with a gloom voice.
"What happened?" Twilight asked.
"We now got problems with the robot garrison, there had been an incident with the robots. Some veterans had been attacked by the new ones that had been sent recently." Ron said stunning the disguised pony.
"But I thought that the robots wouldn't attack their own. How come this could happen?" Twilight asked.
"We don't know much yet, we have to make an assessment on this situation tomorrow at the DA. All the prefects, head boys and head girls will be notified before the meeting." Hermione said.
"Do you think that the situation could worsen?" Twilight asked.
"We can't know for sure yet, but there is surely a root to this problem. Let's hope this weekend we will figure out. Anyways if things go on like this it will turn worst, especially if this was done on purpose by someone so it could make the situation much problematic, things could be bad especially with the alternatives some would come up with." Harry said with worry.
