So I'm finally back to this story after all the firefighting drama in my other story, which is honestly obsessive, and I'm back with some relatively good ideas. What ideas, you might ask? You'll have to keep reading to find out... Enjoy!

Oh, and one last thing, if you look at my profile, you can see I've decided to delete most of my stories. Why you ask? Let's just say those were wasted efforts... They may be visible right now, but I'm deleting them nonetheless.

Later

"Hey, Mom!" Arnold found his mother in the dining room and gave a cheery smile. Stella was staring hard at a newspaper. "Mom?" She still didn't answer. Arnold lightly tugged on her clothing. "Uh, Mom? A- Are you ok?" She exhaled sharply. "You know what, Arnold? I don't know."

Arnold gave a slight sad and confused look. "I- I'm not exactly following."

Stella took a deep breath and sighed. "Honey, I'm not sure whether I should pursue a career path. I'm not even sure IF or WHAT I should pursue. I'm a former doctor, sort of, but I really want to explore different choices." Arnold rubbed her shoulder. "I'm sure you'll figure something out. You're still young, you're smart, you're honest and hard-working, I mean, you could pursue anything you want if you'd like!" Arnold gave an encouraging smile.

Stella lightly raised an eyebrow. "So are you saying this because you WANT me to get a job or what?" Her suspicions were growing.

"I uh- I was just- I'm only recommending what's best for you. I'm not exactly saying you should-" Stella interrupted. "You know, how about go spend time with your girlfriend since that's the only thing you ever even do." Stella said in an upset tone.

"Mom, is- is there something you want to say?"

"Is there something YOU want to say? Because as far as I'm concerned, I can see you'd rather be with your girlfriend more than your parents." Stella crumpled the newspaper while standing up and soon walked away.

She would meet Miles at the stairwell.

Miles had a skeptic look with his arms crossed while leaning against the wall.

"No. Don't give me that look. I'm not being outrageous. I'm only stating what I'm seeing, and what I'm seeing is that our son isn't our son." Miles placed his hands on her shoulders. "Sweetie, don't say that-"

"HOW ELSE DO YOU EXPECT ME TO ACT?!" Stella snapped. "I don't expect a warm welcome, but I never expected our only child to push us aside for somebody else!" She exclaimed.

Miles pulled her into a hug. "Our little Arnold has to be in there somewhere, we'll get him eventually, just keep faith, hun." Stella only sniffled, worried her only son was finding an excuse to not spend time with them.

As small muffled cries were heard coming from Stella, Arnold was peaking from the dining room and heard everything his mother said. He only looked down and felt awful about his actions.

The Next Morning

It was a bright and early morning for school, Arnold recently woke up, and instead of his usual dreams of his girlfriend, he had a dream about his parents instead. He looked at his clock and noticed it was ten minutes before he had to get going, and no sign of his parents…

GASP* Arnold gasped and immediately jumped out of his bed, opening the door and running downstairs.

He ran down the living room, nobody was there.

He then ran into the dining room, where he found Miles and Stella. The two had two glasses of orange juice as they were mainly laughing together.

"Mom! Dad!" Arnold ran up to Stella's side and hugged her, where she gave the biggest smile in forever.

"Oh Arnold! Sweetie!" Stella bear-hugged her son in joy. She kissed his forehead several times. "Oh my baby! There you are!" Stella had a tear of joy slip down her cheek, while Miles put a hand on her shoulder with a smile. "That's our boy." He whispered with a smile.

"Mom, Dad, I'm so sorry I've been pushing you guys aside! I'm genuinely happy you two are finally home, I missed you so much!" Arnold kissed Stella's cheek, lighting up her smile.

"We're just glad you finally came around, sweetie." Stella kissed him once more. Arnold then saw his grandpa walking to the living room. "Mom, could you excuse me for a minute? I have to ask Grandpa something." He said. Stella rubbed her hand through his hair. "Sure, honey." She tightly hugged him and then let him go.

Arnold then ran into the living room. "Hey, Grandpa!" He gave a cheery smile.

Grandpa smiled when he saw his grandson. "Ah! Shortman! Why it feels like ages since I last saw you! What can I do for you, Shortie?"

"'Shortie'? Really, Grandpa?..." Arnold lowered an eyelid.

"Oh, I'm just messin' with ya! What can I do for you, Shortman? Ah!" Grandpa grunted as he sat down. Arnold sat down as well.

"Grandpa, do Mom and Dad have a favorite pet or something? I mean, I know we have Abner," Arnold looked at his pet pig, who was asleep. " And well, I want to do something special for them." Arnold suggested.

"And by special, you mean give them more pets than grandkids? That's a hoot!" Grandpa chuckled.

"Come on, Grandpa…" Arnold lowered his eyelids again.

"Alright, alright…" He started to think. Phil snapped his fingers. "I do remember how much they talked about a parrot, I just don't remember what kind… But I do know your mother has always wanted a parrot, she didn't get one because she wanted all her attention on you. Let me try and remember whether…" Phil snapped his fingers again. "AH HA! IT'S A-"

"SHHH! Don't say it out loud, Grandpa! I want to surprise them!" Arnold said. Phil then decided to whisper the parrot breed into his ear. "Got it! Thanks, Grandpa!" Arnold got up and decided to see his parents again.

"Anytime, Shortie!" Phil chuckled.

"I'm not that short, Grandpa!" Arnold shouted from the other room.

Stella giggled while caressing his cheek. "You still have time to grow, hun." She kissed his forehead.

Arnold looked at the clock. *sigh* "I have to get going to school now, but I'll be back home soon and hopefully, we can spend some time together. The three of us." He smiled.

Miles had an idea. "I know a place where we can spend a bit of time and even have some fun!" He said.

"Great!" Stella replied and smiled at her son. "We'll be waiting for you, honey. We love you so much." She kissed him again. Arnold kissed her cheek and soon went to get his backpack.

After a couple of minutes, he closed the front door and met up with his best friend, Gerald.

"Well, if it isn't the man of the hour? How's it hangin', man?" They did their handshake. Arnold sighed. "Ugh, I wish there wasn't school today 'cause I want to spend the majority of the day with my parents. A-"

"What? Did I hear you right?" Gerald acted like he was clearing his ear for earwax. "YOU? Spending time with your PARENTS? Instead of the richest girl in school which is your GIRLFRIEND?" He scoffed and chuckled. "Man, Arnold… YOU, are one STRANGE kid."

"Strange? Usually, you say I'm 'bold'." Arnold chuckled.

Within a minute, they met up with the rich girl Gerald mentioned.

Rhonda giggled once she saw her football-headed boyfriend. "Arnold, I was just thinking about you!" She ran up to him and bear-hugged him.

"Gerald, could you give us a moment? There's something I'd like to ask her." Arnold asked. "You're not planning on asking her to marry you, are you?" Gerald chuckled.

"Gerald!" Arnold blushed while Rhonda purred in Arnold's ear. "I'll GLADLY accept, sweetie." She kept purring while nuzzling against his cheek. "Just go…" Arnold lowered his eyelids at Gerald, who immediately walked further from them.

Rhonda then looked at her football-headed boyfriend. "So, what's up?" She asked.

"There's a favor I want from you, but I'm not sure whether you're willing to help me…" Arnold rubbed his arm. The two stopped walking, Rhonda had cupped his face. "Oh, Arnold… Of course, I'd love to help you! You helped me overcome my snobbish ways, it's only right if I repay you by helping you!" She kissed his nose.

Arnold smiled warmly. "Well then, how about I fill you in along the way?" He held her hand. Rhonda leaned over for a kiss. "I'm all yours, Arnold." She wholeheartedly smiled.

As they walked along to school, Arnold explained about his favor, getting a pet parrot for his parents and leaving out the stuff he heard his mother saying last night. Rhonda happily agreed, especially since she had a sensation of doing something special for Arnold's parents since she wanted to make a good impression on them.

Soon, they arrived at school.

"I can't thank you enough for what you're gonna do for my parents, Rhonda." Arnold stopped to hold both her hands. He lifted her hands to kiss them. "Are you kidding? I should be thanking you for making me the person I am now! I'm more than happy to help you, sweetie!" She leaned to kiss his forehead.

"Let's just get through this school day, and we'll head to the pet shop after. Alright?" Arnold looked at her.

"You got it, buddy." Rhonda warmly smiled.

Arnold soon leaned over to Rhonda to kiss her lips.

"Let's head inside before we get ahead of ourselves." Rhonda smirked while holding his hand. "Lead the way, princess." Arnold smirked back as they walked along. As they walked along, an ambulance would pass by.

Later Throughout The School Day

"Harold, Helga, stop throwing paper balls at each other!" Mr. Simmons exclaimed at the two.

"She started it!" Harold blurted. "No, I didn't!" She snapped back. The two started arguing,

"Made for each other if you ask me." Rhonda scoffed while whispering to Arnold, who only shrugged.

Soon, the bell for recess rang.

"Harold, Helga, you two are staying after class for wasting a majority of your class time! The rest of you are free to go." Mr. Simmons said.

As all but two kids rushed out of the door for recess, over with Miles, Stella, and Grandpa…
