With his throat tightening up, Rick gasped. He raised his hand up to it in the corridor and realised what was going on.
"Arh. Ar, h," He gasped. Allergy. He rushed into his and Tyler's room and dug out his epipen. He took the cap off, but in his panic and with shaking hands, the pen flew into the corridor. "Ha.. g, a... ah," Rick gasped and desperately, with fading vision, he stumbled down the corridor.
Reaching the pen, Rick could hardly breathe. He sat against a wall and gasped as he tried to breathe. Epipen in hand, he raised it to his shoulder to inject it but... breath left him and his hand fell limply onto his leg. Eyes wide, Rick's breathing was about to stop and he couldn't move.
"Rick? What are you doing?" Elektra asked as she came into the corridor. "Rick?" She asked as she got closer to him. She saw his slightly bent legs, head leaning to the side and lack of movement in him. "Rick? Hey," Elektra said as she knelt down in front of him. "Hello?" She asked as she clicked her fingers in front of his face.
Then, Elektra saw the epipen. She turned back to Rick before listening for his breathing.
"Oh my God," Elektra said as all she heard were fading gasps. She took hold of the epipen, injected it into Rick, then lay him onto the ground.
"Elektra? What's going on?" Liam asked as he saw them and Elektra was turning Rick onto his side.
"He's hardly breathing. I think he's had an allergic reaction."
"What?" Liam asked before he raced to Rick and knelt down.
"He had an epipen so I injected it into him. He can't breathe."
"Shall I get someone?"
"No. We'll get Dennis hell. Come on Rick," Elektra said as she rubbed his back and Liam watched in worry.
Suddenly, Rick coughed, choked and gasped as he took air into his lungs.
"Rick!" Both Elektra and Liam called out.
"Rick, breathe."
"Come on," They said and Rick slowly calmed down until he took a full breath in.
"Argh."
"It's Elektra and Liam. Can you hear us?"
"Yeah," Rick whispered. "...happened?"
"You weren't breathing."
"You had an epipen with you. I think you've had an allergic reaction."
"Thanks..." Rick said before he closed his eyes.
"Rick?"
"Rick, wake up."
"I'm getting Mike."
"Ok," Elektra said and Liam went downstairs.
"Rick!" Tyler shouted before he ran to him.
"He's ok Tyler."
"What happened?"
"He's had an allergic reaction."
"Is he ok?"
"He's alright. Liam's gone to get Mike."
"Rick? Are you back with us mate?" Liam asked as Rick came round.
"You're in hospital," Elektra told him.
"What happened?"
"You had an allergic reaction. Elektra found you in the corridor. You were hardly breathing."
"I saw that you had an epipen, so I used it and turned you onto your side."
"I joined shortly after, and thankfully the epipen worked. You started breathing."
"Thanks," Rick said as he opened his eyes. "I was... choking. I got my epipen but I... I passed out before I could use it."
"Well, you managed to scare Elektra. And that's not an easy thing to do."
"No. But you're here and alright."
"Thank you. Where's Tyler?"
"He's in the waiting room. Mike's telling him that you're ok."
"Good. Thanks Elektra. You saved my life."
"We look out for each other. Don't we Liam?"
"We do. Most of the time," Liam replied and he and Elektra smiled at each other. "Are you hungry Rick?"
"A little."
"I'll grab you something from the canteen."
"Cheers."
"The doctor also said to have fluids," Elektra said and she handed Rick some water.
