Chapter 36

Yolei sat in the small, dimly lit room that Daemon had built for her in the middle of the Digital World forest. She had made the decision to stay behind, to sacrifice her own freedom for the safety of her friends. But now, as she sat alone in the darkness, she couldn't help but wonder if she had made the right choice.

She missed Ken more than anything. She missed the way he held her, the sound of his voice, the warmth of his embrace. It had been weeks since they had spoken, since they had fought, and now she was filled with regret and longing.

Yolei knew she should be thinking of a way to escape, but every time she tried, she couldn't bring herself to do it. If she left, Daemon would go after her friends again, and she couldn't bear the thought of that. But at the same time, she couldn't bear the thought of never seeing Ken again.

As she sat there, lost in her thoughts, she heard a faint tapping at the door. She got up from the bed and walked over to see who it was. To her surprise, it was Ken.

"Ken!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around him.

"I'm here to rescue you," he said, a smile on his face.

Yolei couldn't believe it. She had never been happier to see anyone in her life. They embraced, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss. It was like they had never been apart. They were together again, and nothing could tear them apart.

Yolei's heart raced as she stared at the figure before her. It was Ken, but it wasn't. She had been so sure it was him, so sure that he had come to rescue her. But now, as she looked into his eyes, she saw something different. Something darker.

"What is wrong with you?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Daemon just laughed. "What's wrong with me? Nothing, my dear. I'm just trying to give you what you want."

Yolei felt a chill run down her spine. She knew that Daemon was a master of deception, but she had never seen him like this before. He was so convincing, so... real.

"I can be whoever you want," he continued, taking a step closer to her. "If you just give me your heart."

Yolei backed away, her mind racing. She knew that she couldn't trust him, that he was just trying to manipulate her. But at the same time, she couldn't help but feel drawn to him. He looked so much like Ken, sounded so much like him. It was like a dream come true.

But Yolei knew that it wasn't real. She knew that she had to stay strong, that she couldn't let Daemon get the best of her. She took a deep breath and stood her ground.

"I don't want you," she said firmly. "I want Ken. The real Ken."

Daemon's smile faded, replaced by a look of anger. "You'll never see him again," he snarled. "You belong to me now."

Yolei's heart pounded in her chest as Daemon stepped closer to her. She tried to back away, but the small house offered no escape.

"I only have so much patience," Daemon said, his voice low and menacing. Yolei could feel his breath on her face, and she knew she was in serious trouble.

Yolei shook her head, her eyes filling with tears. "I can't," she said. "I can't love you, Daemon. Not like this."

Daemon pulls out vile of bright green liquid he steps closer to Yolei, "You will love me as you are now."

Yolei looks at the vile with fear in her eyes, "What is that?"

"Oh, this is plan B, A concoction I personally created for you Yolei. It contains my blood and Atlas Mothmon's blood."

"Why are you doing this?" Yolei asked, her voice trembling.

Daemon's eyes gleamed with an eerie light as he stepped closer to her. "Because I want you to be mine," he said. "With this potion, you will become the strongest Dark Digimon ever, and you will love only me."

Yolei backs away from him, "Please don't do that to me."

Daemon steps towards the exit, "I will be tomorrow, I hope by then you changed your mind. Either way, you will be mine fully tomorrow."

He slams the door closed behind him, as Yolei walked into her bedroom, feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders. She sat down on the bed, her eyes filling with tears. All she wanted was to be in Ken's arms again.

In Izzy's cozy apartment, the Digi Destined were gathered to discuss Daemon's damage in the Digital World. Izzy, Cody, Matt, Mimi, Sora, TK, Davis, Tai, and Kari were all present, but the mood was somber. They were waiting for their friend, Ken, who had not been himself lately.

As Ken entered the room, he looked downcast and weary. His friends immediately noticed the change in him, and they knew that something was weighing heavily on his mind. Ken sat down on the couch and sighed deeply, his eyes fixed on the floor.

"I need something to drink," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Izzy pointed towards the kitchen and said, "Help yourself, Ken. The kitchen is down the hall."

Ken got up and walked towards the kitchen, his steps slow and deliberate. Sora, who had been watching him closely, followed him discreetly. She felt that Ken needed someone to talk to, and she was determined to be there for him.

As Sora entered the kitchen, she found Ken standing in front of the refrigerator, staring blankly at the closed door. Sora could sense his inner turmoil, and she knew that something was bothering him deeply. She approached him slowly, not wanting to startle him, and gently placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Ken, what's going on?" she asked softly.

Ken turned to face her, his eyes filled with tears. "Sora, I don't know what to do," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I feel like I'm going to lose Yolei forever."

Sora leaned over and touched Ken's face gently. "Ken, I'm sorry, but they're right. If Yolei seduces Daemon, then maybe we can defeat him once and for all."

Ken backed away from Sora, his eyes filled with fear and uncertainty. "Yolei is too kindhearted for that," he said softly. "I can't ask her to do something like that."

Sora sighed and sat down at the kitchen table. She knew that Ken was struggling with the idea of sacrificing Yolei to help the Digital World.

Sora took a deep breath and spoke softly, "We have to do everything in our power to defeat Daemon. Yolei is our only hope. We've tried everything else, and nothing has worked. If turns Yolei is that monster, he spoke about in his journal we might lose Yolei and the Digital world forever."

Ken stopped pacing and looked at Sora, his eyes filled with pain. "But what if something goes wrong? What if Yolei gets hurt?"

Sora placed a hand on Ken's shoulder, "We'll do everything we can to keep her safe. But we have to take this chance. The fate of the Digital World is at stake."

Ken nodded slowly, his mind racing with thoughts and emotions. He knew that Sora was right, but the idea of putting Yolei in danger was almost too much to bear.

Down the hall in Izzy's bedroom, the air was thick with tension. The Digi Destined had just learned of Daemon's plan for Yolei and the Digital World, and they knew that they had to act fast. But the question remained: who would go on the mission to stop him?

Davis spoke up first, his voice filled with determination. "Don't send Ken, let me go. I'll do whatever it takes to stop Daemon and save Yolei. I will not fall the BS, because I only ever thought of her like a sister."

TK shook his head, his eyes filled with concern. "We shouldn't send Ken. He loves Yolei, and he won't be able to make the tough choices that we might have to make. I think I should go instead."

Kari looked at both of them, her eyes filled with worry. "I don't want either of you going. You're both too important to us, and I don't want to risk losing you."

Izzy spoke up, his voice calm and steady. "We have to make a decision, and we have to make it fast. Daemon won't wait for us to decide."

Matt nodded in agreement. "Izzy's right. We have to choose someone to go, and we have to do it now."

Mimi spoke up, her voice soft but determined. "I think we should send Tai. He's the leader, and he's always been willing to make the tough choices."

Tai looked at Mimi, his eyes filled with surprise. "Are you sure? This is a dangerous mission."

Mimi nodded. "I'm sure. We all trust you, Tai. We know that you'll do whatever it takes to save the Digital World."

Sora and Ken had just arrived, and they brought bottles of water for everyone.

Mimi spoke up first, "Ken, we've decided not to send you."

Ken looked surprised, "Why not?"

Cody spoke up, "Because you love Yolei, and we feel that you might... you might sacrifice the Digital World to save her."

Ken looked down at the ground, his face filled with sadness. "I understand," he said quietly.

Tai stepped forward, his voice filled with determination. "I'll go," he said. "I'll do whatever it takes to stop Daemon and save Yolei. I will take care of Yolei, don't worry."

But Sora's expression turned dark, and she spoke up, her voice filled with anger. "Just like you took care of that other lady yesterday," she said, her eyes flashing with hurt and betrayal.

Tai's heart sank as he realized that Sora had found out about his infidelity. He had hoped to keep it a secret, to spare her feelings. But now, it seemed that his actions had caught up with him.

"I'm sorry, Sora," he said, his voice filled with regret. "I made a mistake. But I promise you, it won't happen again."

Sora looked at him for a long moment, her eyes filled with hurt and betrayal. And then, without a word, she turned and walked away.

Tai felt a sense of emptiness wash over him as he watched her go. He knew that he had hurt her deeply, and that it would take time to earn back her trust. But he was determined to do whatever it took to make things right, to prove to her that he was worthy of her love.

Matt stepped forward, his eyes filled with determination. "Let me go," he said. "I'll deliver the message to Yolei."

Ken's words echoed in the room, "Fine, send Matt. We'll have to wait until morning to venture into the Dark Ocean World. It's too dangerous at night."

The air was thick with tension as they watched Ken prepare to leave.

Izzy knew that Ken had been through a lot himself, and he didn't want him to be alone that night. "Mother is away at my Aunt's house," Izzy began. "Ken, I think you shouldn't be alone tonight."

Davis chimed in, "We will all stay. We can't leave you alone after everything you've been through."

Ken looked up at the group, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you," he said softly. "I don't know what I would do without you guys."

Izzy's apartment was filled with his closest friends, all of them exhausted from the day. As they settled in for the night, Izzy couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in his heart. They had been through so much together, and they had always managed to come out on top.

But as the night wore on, Izzy began to notice something strange. Sora, who had always been close to Tai, was now sitting closer to Ken. And the more she moved closer to him, the more Tai seemed to notice.

Izzy watched as Tai's eyes narrowed, his expression growing more and more jealous by the minute. He knew that Sora was doing this on purpose, trying to make Tai jealous. And it was working.

As the night wore on, the tension in the room grew thicker. Tai and Sora were barely speaking to each other, and the rest of the group seemed to be caught in the middle.
