After the funeral Uraraka stayed back talking with Shinso and Hawks while a few feet away Bakugo was talking with Ichiro and her mom who was smiling before she gave him a warm hug.
"That's great to hear Shinso. I'm happy to hear that." Uraraka said having just heard that he was offered to train with a retired pro hero that Mr. Aizawa knew during the break before the next school year would start.
Scratching his neck Shinso gave her a warm smile. "Yeah, me too but the guy does seem rather intimidating if you ask me."
"You mean the retired pro Daichi?"
Nodding his head, Shinso saw the sudden look of horror in Hawks eyes before he hid it with his usual smile.
"Oh, I've met him. Nothing to worry about kid he's pretty…nice?"
"Why does that sound more like a question." Uraraka said.
"And why doesn't that make me feel any better." Shinso said chuckling nervously.
"Relax there's nothing to worry about, I'm sure."
"Right." Turning to walk to the others Shinso spoke over his shoulder. "Thanks Hawks."
"Anytime." Hawks said turning after he heard Uraraka snicker. "What? I was trying to help! But I can tell you this, Daichi is definitely going to work him hard, but he's the right person to help Shinso strengthen his quirk since it's similar to his own."
"That's good…"
Watching her carefully frown before looking at her feet Hawk couldn't help but ask. "Something wrong?"
"No, just have a lot of things on my mind is all."
"Gotcha." Hawks nodded. "So, kid how are you doing with all this?"
"Not going to lie, I've been better. But-" Looking at her classmates further away she smiled. "I think I'll be fine."
"That's good. I'll make sure we have someone keep an eye on your mom and aunt."
"Thanks Hawks."
"Have you given anymore thoughts on what I told you?"
Glancing sideways she shrugged. "Not really sure…"
"Hey there's no pressure. I understand."
"Hey babe we're about to head back now." Mina said walking over with Kirishima.
"Ok."
"You ready?" Bakugo asked walking to stand next to Kirishima. "Your mom's getting ready to go back home with you aunt."
"Yeah." She smiled while waiving at Hawks.
"Later kid."
Silently walking next to him Uraraka took a deep breath. "You know, Hawks said that if I ever wanted to learn how to use my quirk more or train with him to let him know."
"Hmm." Looking back over his shoulder Bakugo nodded before furrowing his brows. "Well to tell you the truth cheeks, I don't think that's a bad idea."
"You don't?" she tilted her head to the side as they continued walking.
Shaking his head, he focused his attention to where the others were waiting while Mina and Kirishima walked ahead of them. "If the number two offered to train you, then you should take it and not waste that chance." Stopping them he opened his mouth a bit hesitant. "But just don't-"
Placing her hand on his arm without thinking, she saw his cheeks turn slightly pink before quickly removing it. "I won't. I already said I wouldn't remember."
Nodding he shoved his hands in his pocket.
"So, what were you guys talking about over there?"
"Just had to talk to your mom and Ichiro about something."
Not wanting to pry anymore she gave him a small smile. "So, I'll see you guys tomorrow then."
"Definitely." Deku grinned as she waved walking back over to her mom.
"Let's get going then. I'm sure Mr. Aizawa will be waiting for us." Todoroki said.
"Yeah. He's probably upset he wasn't able to make it." Tsu said thoughtfully turning her head towards Yaoyorozu. "By the way did he give a reason as to why?"
"What?" Momos eyes widened. "Why would I know? I thought someone was going to let him know."
"Surely someone did." Iida asked, feeling himself panicked. "Didn't they?"
"Oh…I think we established that we were going to tell him but-" Deku rubbed his chin before widening his eyes.
"But we never really said who…" Sero finished.
"Oh crap!" Kaminari exclaimed. "Not good!"
"Relax, I'm sure Mr. Aizawa will think this as funny…right?" Mina sheepishly grinned receiving dubious looks from the others. "Guys?"

It's already been a week since her father's funeral and even though it still felt unreal to her knowing she would never see him again, she just had to keep reminding herself to take it one day at a time. It also helped that she had everyone here to help and made sure to contact her mom and aunt every day.
Things were slowly getting back to normal, well as normal as it could be but of course without any new information on Toga's whereabouts and only the knowledge that some of the villains in her group were already spotted going overseas it didn't change the fact that it still left an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach. The only real hope for now was the fact that Endeavor and some of the other agencies were leaving in a few days and would hopefully come back with more.
Absently tapping her pencil on her book, she lazily let her eyes roam around her room with Bakugo silently studying on the floor.
"That's not considered studying." He said keeping his eyes concentrated on his book and jotting down notes.
"I knowwww but-" she whined before lifting her brows curiously and sitting up. "Wait, how could you tell?"
Smirking, he continued to write. "Because I'm fuckin awesome that's why."
Rolling her eyes at the familiar smug look on his face she couldn't help but give an amused smile as she continued to stare at him as he read.
"Round-face." He gave her a warning tone making her cheeks warm at being caught again.
"I'm studying I'm studying see!" She said flipping through some of the pages and taking a glimpse of him still focused on his book, but she could've sworn she saw the corner of his mouth lift before he rubbed it.
With a huff she started to scribble down notes of her own but immediately stopped at the sight of the shiny silver necklace around his neck peeking from under his black shirt.
"What now?" he said annoyance clearly in his voice.
"N-nothing it's just…I still can't get used to seeing you with glasses when studying." She smiled.
"Which is what your ass should be doing too."
Pouting, she stuck her tongue out refocusing her attention to look through her notes again for the next few minutes until he broke the silence.
"Is it good or bad?"
"Huh?" snapping her head up she saw him tapping on the frames of his glasses with his pencil.
"Oh um…it's fine." She shyly smiled. "It's actually quite cute." As soon as the words left her mouth, she felt her whole face warm up watching him momentarily stop writing, which made her immediately snap her eyes back to her own work. 'Why did I have to go and say that!'
Hearing him stay silent for a while she awkwardly peeked up from her notebook, seeing him staring blankly at the book for a minute before opening his mouth repeatedly like he wanted to say something but deciding against it as he continued to work.
"You alright?"
"Yeah, I just wanna make sure I get this right."
"What? Don't tell me that the great Bakugo of all people is nervous about some test." She teased while smiling innocently.
"Tch, hell no! But it doesn't hurt to study." he said looking over his shoulder.
"Overachiever." she mumbled while hearing him scoff. Not wanting to bring it up but still the curiosity got the better of her. "So, once you guys leave… how will that work with school and stuff. Aren't your guys going to miss a lot?"
Nodding he scratched his head. "Yeah, but after talking it over with Mr. Aizawa they're going to let us catch up on everything whenever we come back to headquarters, depending on if we're not gone for more than a day or so."
"Gotcha.' She said looking down at her hands. "Are you guys sure about that? I mean that will be a lot of work."
"Yeah, it's fine. That way we're not behind." He said going back to reading.
Feeling the sudden heaviness in the air she nervously started playing with her finger pads. They haven't' talked about what would happen. She wasn't even sure herself yet what she wanted to do. She did before but now after what happened to her dad she just didn't know.
She still knew that she felt the same way for him and if it was possible that everyday it felt like it grew more and more to a point where everything just felt so overwhelming, and it scared her to a point where she didn't know what to do.
Hearing the loud knock on her door it immediately snapped her out of her thoughts. "Huh?" Getting up she slowly headed towards the door.
"I fuckin swear if that's Mr. Aizawa-" Bakugo jumped to his feet staring wide eyed at the door.
"Shh…who is it?"
"Only the most awesome girl you'll ever meet! And Shinso."
"Seriously?" she could hear Shinso's muffled voice from behind the door.
Breathing out a sigh of relief Uraraka saw Bakugos eye twitch before she opened the door to greet them. "Hey!"
"Hey babe! Hope we're not intruding." Mina said watching Bakugo slowly gathering up his things.
"Oh, it's alright we were just studying." Uraraka says scratching the back of her head as she saw Bakugo swiftly head for the door.
"I mean we can always come back later." Mina said grinning while Shinso stayed quiet.
"It's fine, I have to get going anyways."
"W-what but-"
Meeting Shinsos' gaze Bakugo quickly looked back at Uraraka. "Shitty hairs waiting for me anyways so I'll talk you later." With that he walked past them and down the hall.
"Well, that was weird, not even one insult towards me." Confused, Mina scratched her head shrugging her shoulders before letting herself in. "I don't know how I feel about that."
Giggling Uraraka shook her head but stopped since Shinso stayed where he was. "Shinso?"
"I'll catch you guys later."
"Um…ok." Uraraka said watching him swiftly walk off.
Once the door closed Mina threw herself on the bed stretching like a lazy cat. "Alright girl, spill it."
"Spill what?" she said sitting on the bed.
"Well since Shinso isn't' here right now. I want my details!"
"Wha-"
"Please babe I've been patient." Mina pleaded giving her puppy dog eyes.
Laying down Uraraka clutched Mr. Snuggles. "It's a long story…"
"Hey I got time."

Storming down the hall Bakugo tried his best to not explode everything in his path only seeing red as he tightened his grip on his books.
"Bakugo!"
Coming to a complete stop he clenched his fist, deciding to stay silent instead.
"I need to talk to you."
"Yeah? Well, I'm sure it can fuckin wait." He said not turning around but getting ready to leave.
"It's about Uraraka."
Felling himself smirking in anger and already getting madder by the minute he lifted his gaze to the ceiling trying his best to calm his temper but failing before slowly turning dangerously to face Shinso.
"You know I asked her out."
Bakugo's smirk quickly faded, feeling smoke coming from his palms and his blood boiling. "You trying to make a point." He said shifting his body weight from one leg to the other and clenching his jaw.
"Yeah, I thought you'd want to know that I like her." Shinso said, folding his arms across his chest.
"Oh yeah? Well, congratu-fuckin-lations." Bakugo said, turning back around and stomping towards the elevator with Shinso hot on his heels.
"And you're alright with that?"
Clicking his tongue, he looked over his shoulder. "Whatever's going on between the two of you that's none of my business."
"You sure about that?"
"Why the hell would I care?"
"Well, you two seem pretty close so I figured-"
"What?!" Turning around he lifted his hands on either side of him still clutching his books. "Do you want my fuckin blessing or some shit?! Is that it?!"
Smirking Shinso shook his head. "That honestly wouldn't make a difference to me."
"Then what?! You just felt like fuckin telling me that you like her and that you asked her out just to piss me off?!"
"And why would it?! Last I checked she's single."
Dangerously narrowing his eyes Bakugo took a step forward. "Well, I guess that's good for you then, right?"
"Yeah, you'd think that." Shinso shrugged his shoulder letting out a deep sigh. "But before winter break when I asked her out, and she didn't give me an answer right away-"
"I don't have to fuckin listen to this shit." Bakugo smirked shaking his head getting angrier and angrier turning towards the elevator and slamming his palm on the button.
"I thought I still had a shot! But imagine my surprise when she ended up turning me down!" Shinso exclaimed watching Bakugo stay quiet with his palm still against the button. "I just thought you'd want to know why."
Taking a deep breath Bakugos brows furrowed in confusion as he turned to meet his gaze. "Why tell me this?"
"Because I didn't know why at first, but I could tell she already had feelings for someone else. And to be honest I was alright with that. But then I started questioning who it was, putting pieces together and now it all makes sense." Stepping forward he gave Bakugo a stern look. "But what I want to know… is whether you could make her happy. Truly happy. Because I'm sure you know someone like her… deserves it and if you can't do that, then just let her go Bakugo."
"What? Because someone like you could?" he said feeling something inside him crack.
"No man, I'm not saying that." Shinso gave him a serious look, not believing the sudden look of sadness in the blond boys' eyes. "I like her sure, but I would rather keep her as a friend than nothing at all. I already know and accept that she doesn't like me more than a friend. But I also wanted to come to you and let you know how I feel about her even though nothing could ever happen. Because whether you know it or not, I respect you enough to do that."
Being caught a bit off guard Bakugo continued to stare at him.
"And if you like her the way I think you do then do something before you lose her."
Staring at him for another minute Bakugo heard the 'DING' of the elevator as the doors opened and he got in. "I get what you're trying to do Shinso I really do, but…it's not really my decision anymore."
Frowning Shinso saw him disappear into the elevator as the doors closed.

"Wow. I am so glad I brought popcorn for this." Mina said with her mouth full. "This is way better than one of those books we're always reading."
"Really not helping." Uraraka pouted staring at the ceiling.
"I know…I'm sorry. It's all still so crazy to me!"
"I know…I have the worst luck."
"No girl not that! It's just that, from what I've heard… he really seems to care for you Ochaco. And I didn't think Bakugo cared about anyone but himself. But I do have to say that now it all makes sense." Mina mused remembering how Bakugo was never one to talk about any girl when they would all hang out except for Uraraka when it came to fighting or when he would stubbornly look away whenever she was near.
"What's so funny?" Uraraka asked.
"Just thinking." She chuckled before waiving her hands in the air. "And I can't believe I missed you guys making out when we busted in to 'safe' you guys from that room during the attack! I was so focused on not dying that I was a second too late to see my best friends hot make out session! Shame on me!"
"Mina!" Covering her face already, feeling the heat rush to her face Uraraka heard Mina laughing. "Don't say it like that! And we were in trouble ok, so it wasn't like that!"
"Uh-huh I bet. I feel so bad for you Ochaco. I really do." Mina sarcastically rolled her eyes.
"And make out? Is that what that's called?" Uraraka shyly asked, making Mina clutch her stomach laughing. "Making what?"
Wiping her eyes, Mina grinned. "Well, I bet you were making something!"
"Mina!"
"Alright but going back to everything…have you thought about what you want to do?"
"I have. Plenty of time to tell you the truth…but I don't know Mina. I was thinking of saying yes before but with everything that's happened I don't think I can handle anymore right now."
"Understandable there's no pressure babe and if he hasn't mentioned it anymore then I bet he does too."
"Really?" Uraraka sat up before letting her eyes fall to her hands. "Maybe he just changed his mind and doesn't feel the same anymore."
Staring at her friend for a moment Mina sighed. "I don't think that's the case babe. But you're right, it would be hard especially not hearing from him for a while. In our line of work tomorrow is never guaranteed. But at the same time, I also understand where he's coming from too."
"How so?"
"Because it's Bakugo, Ochaco! When he sets his mind on something and he's dead serious about it then there's no stopping him. Why else do you think we always back him up when we're out training and follow him on a mission with little complaint? -Well, not so much me because I like to complain but that's beside the point." Hearing Uraraka giggle Mina smiled placing her hand on top of hers. "But Ochaco I've been hanging with the Bakusquad for a while now and even though he didn't talk to me about that when I found out…from what he did tell me I can tell that that boy's serious about you and I've never seen him be that way with anyone."
"Wait...didn't you say he didn't tell you anything?"
"He didn't. I did most of the talking after he refused. And I told him the typical 'If you hurt her then I'd have to happily kill you.' speech."
"Oh no."
Waiving her off Mina continued. "Yeah, but he did stop me right there." With a mischievous smile Mina looked away. "Now I can't exactly say what he told me…"
"Why?" Lifting a curious eyebrow Uraraka continued to listen.
"Just because." Seeing her pout Mina gave her a small smile. "Ochaco, this isn't some romance novel where they always live happily ever after, this is your actual life. If you decide to wait until he comes back, then that's something you can do too. No one else can make this decision for you. But he did have a good point…if you see yourself already missing him everyday and worried about him once he's gone even if you two aren't together… then why not at least give it a try? But either way you remember my motto. No regrets."
"Yeah, how could I forget." Uraraka smirked while watching Mina turn red. "But I think…I know what I'm going to do now."

"Woah man! So Shinso told you that?!" Kirishima said heavily panting while trying to dodge another blast. "That was very manly of him!"
"Tch."
"Well…what do you think?"
"Doesn't matter." Bakugo said lunging himself into the air and trying to get behind him while letting off more explosions as Kirishima blocked them.
"Alright so what's stopping you now?" Kirishima said dusting himself off.
Leaning on his knees Bakugo looked to the side trying to catch his breath while wiping his forehead.
"Come on dude talk to me."
Exhaling loudly, he stood up stretching his arms. "It's just…she's been through a lot you know. So, I don't want her to feel like I'm pressuring her or anything…it's not fair to her." Frowning he contemplated his next words carefully. "I know I said that I would want to at least try and that's still true." Meeting his friends gaze he continued. "Kirishima I would do anything to make this work with her…but I'm not stupid either. Yeah, I've never been in a relationship before, but I know enough to know that… you can't make a relationship work if it's just one person willing to try. She knows how I feel that's no fuckin secret. But if she hasn't said anything by now then…'
"No, I get it. This isn't fair to either of you. But who knows, maybe once you get back, things will work out. You don't know."
Scoffing, he looked away. "Maybe…but I wouldn't expect her not to find someone else."
"Oh, come on man! You don't know that. From what she's told me she really feels the same way too."
Biting his lip Bakugo tilted his chin up. "From what she's told you?"
"Yeah! Why else do you think she didn't want to tell you in the first place…she didn't think you would feel the same way to begin with. Even before you realized it yourself. I swear you guys are so hardheaded it was freaking frustrating at times…"
Widening his eyes Bakugo stared at him in disbelief. "I FUCKIN KNEW YOU KNEW SOMETHING!"
"What now?" Staring blankly at the blond for a minute Kirishima didn't notice his slip up until he saw him dangerously approaching with small explosions in his palms. "Ah crap!"
"You're dead."
X
As they both lay exhausted on the floor panting Kirishima started laughing hysterically clutching his stomach.
"What now dumbass?!"
"Nothing man. I just… never thought that we'd be having to deal with things like this when the year started is all."
Sitting up Bakugo smirked. "Tch, no shit."
"So, are we good?"
"Yeah, can't fuckin blame you for trying to keep a secret." He mumbled. "EVEN THOUGH IT COULDN'VE HELPED ME TO BEGIN WITH!"
Scratching his neck and smiling sheepishly, Kirishima nodded. "Yeah…sorry man. But the way you would've reacted wouldn't have been pretty until you figured it out for yourself."
"Tch." Looking away Bakugo still hated himself for the way he behaved towards her in the start. of the year. "Yeah, that was pretty shitty of me."
"Don't worry she forgave you. We all make mistakes, and we live and learn from it." Kirishima grinned but still saw Bakugo deep in thought. "Look Bakugo, I know where you're coming from, and you're right she is going through a lot. But I have to ask bro…what exactly do you feel for her?"
"What do you mean? You already know idiot." Bakugos tensed up making sure to avoid eye contact as soon as the red head asked the question.
Clearly seeing the answer plastered on the blonds face Kirishima nudged him. "Come on. You know what I mean. Before when you first realized you liked her you also told me…that you thought it was more than just liking her. Is that still true? And don't lie because I saw it." Kirishima pointed out. "I saw the look on your face in that picture and anytime you're around her. And the look on your face now…"
Kirishima waited for Bakugo to say something…anything. He's had his suspicions for a while but thought since it was Bakugo that baby steps would be best. He had hoped that once the stubborn friend of his finally realized he liked her…that Bakugo would eventually realize something else too…
"Yeah…it's still true." Bakugo quietly said staring at the ground. "What I feel for her…I can't even begin to explain Kirishima. She drives me fuckin crazy in a good way and bad, but I don't care because in the end she's all I want. She's all I fuckin think about. And I don't know if this makes sense-"
"Dude…"
"And during the attack when I was shown that she was there when I got hurt during the fight with Shigaraki…that it's not just me who feels that way." Placing his hands on his head Bakugo felt the frustration once again building up.
"And have you figured out what it is?"
Grumbly shaking his head 'no' Bakugo looked at the ceiling. "And this fuckin sucks ass that I can't do anything about it right now."
"So, you're really giving up?" Snickering Kirishima looked at him. "Doesn't sound like the Bakugo I know."
Scoffing Bakugo slowly got up.
"But seriously. I know where you're coming from, and who knows what will happen now or even next year." Kirishima offered.
"Alright dumbass let's get keep going already." Bakugo said over his shoulder walking over to one of the punching bags.
"Actually, I've gotta pass. I've got someplace I need to be." Kirishima said, getting to his feet.
"Are you fuckin serious right now?"
"Yeah." Grinning Kirishima placed a hand on his shoulder. "You know…I started thinking about all kinds of things while I was in the hospital."
"Oh yeah and how did that work out for you?" Bakugo smirked.
Frowning Kirishima shrugged. "I mean it did give me a headache after a while." Deciding to ignore Bakugo snorted laughter Kirishima continued. "But…having a near death experience and all, I guess it helped put things into perspective for me."
Tilting his chin up Bakugo nodded in understanding. "…Pinky."
Chuckling Kirishima slapped him on the shoulder as he walked out of the gym. "I'll talk to you about it later bro!"
"YOU BETTER NOT!" Bakugo shouted punching the bag once before looking back at the door Kirishima had just exited. Smirking he nodded to himself, feeling happy for his friend. If someone deserved to be happy…then Kirishima was definitely on that list.
X
Lazily laying on her bed reading a magazine with her feet up she heard a faint knock on her door. "Doors open!"
Peeking his head inside Kirishima gave her his usual toothy grin. "Hey Mina, you busy? -WOAH!"
Barely dodging a magazine headed his way, Kirishima slowly opened the door wider. "I come in peace!"
Sitting up she slowly folded her arms looking rather pissed. "Ejiro Kirishima…you have some explaining to do."
"Eh?" Flinching at her tone of voice he hesitantly closed the door behind him now not entirely sure if this was worth risking his life until he met her eyes. 'Definitely worth it.'
"Don't act like you don't know!" She narrowed her eyes. "I know full well what's been going on." she pointed an accusing finger. "And you didn't tell me! ME!"
Rubbing the back of his neck he sheepishly grinned. "Mina you're going to have to be a little bit more specific here."
"Why do you have more secrets!?"
Gulping down hard Kirishima shook his head.
Huffing, she stood up. "Well for one how about not telling me about your boy liking my girl! Or how about not telling me what was going on with both of them! Or even that they kissed! Or-"
Pressing his lips together he took a deep breath. "Well, it wasn't really my secret to tell."
Scrutinizing him for a moment she tapped her chin. "Fair enough."
"Besides Kaminari and I-"
"WHAT?!" Letting her jaw drop she stared wide eyed at him. "KAMINARI! KAMINARI EVEN KNEW?!"
"W-well-"
"And I let that little Pokémon in on all of my gossip! How dare he hold out on me! I will end him!"
"Mina-"
"I can't believe it! Everyone knew but me?!"
"Well not really…it's just us."
"That's not the point!" she glared.
"Mina-"
"I just can't-"
"MINA!" Kirishima yelled, getting her attention. "Can you just shut up for a second?!" Widening her eyes at his strict tone, she waited for him to continue. "Because if I don't get this out now, I'm scared that I never will." He said lifting his shaky hands to try and calm himself. "So here it is. I like you…I've liked you for a while now..."
"What?"
"We've known each other since middle school, so I've been too scared to say anything."
"Kirishima…" Dumfounded Mina blinked at him feeling speechless for the first time.
"But the fact of the matter is…that even if you don't feel anything for me other than friendship, then I'll take it because I wouldn't want to do to mess up what we have." Taking slow small steps, he could feel his eyes water as he met her shaky eyes. "But I can't help myself around you…the things you do…the way you think…the way you move…everything about you makes me excited everyday just… knowing I'm going to be able to see you again." Stopping in front of her he saw her eyes well up. "But I'm not sure if I'm worthy enough to have you."
"Have me?"
"No!" Feeling panicked Kirishima started sweating. "Not have! I didn't mean it like that I meant-"
Softly chuckling to herself she tilted her head while wiping her tears. "Kirishima relax…are you crying?"
Grinning Kirishima shook his head wiping his eyes. "No…these are manly tears."
Laughing Mina wrapped her arm around him pressing her lips against his as they melted into each other. "About time Kiri! And to answer your question, you can have me any day."
"WHAT?!" he screeched before she pulled him in for another kiss.
