Its the happiest day of my life, until I felt the sharp shooting pain in my abdomen. I don't really remember much about the birth, only knowing that I had to push and that it hurt.

They must of given something to me to make me sleepy, but before my eyelids snapped shut, I saw our daughter cradled in Adrien's arms. Then the blackness swept over, warm and comforting like my favorite blanket.

When I wake, Adrien is sitting in a chair that someone thoughtfully placed in the room, holding our squirming daughter. "Hey. How long have been out?" "Bugaboo, thank goodness your awake. This little squirmier is feeling hungry." I laugh. "Reminds me with you used to sit by the fridge and your tail would swish. I kept telling you it wouldn't open, but you didn't listen." Adrien grins. "Maybe, or I just didn't stare hard enough." "Here, I'll feed her. Autumn showed me how."

I open my robe so that my daughter can suck at the nourishing milk she needs. She's warm and pink, and has the most delightful smell: of baby powder and milk. She finds my nipple and begins to suck, and I mummer soothing words. Slurp, slurp, slurp. I stop worrying, all she wanted was food.

I look over at Adrien, fingering his lucky charm bracelet lost in thought. "Sweetheart?" Adrien's head jerks up. "You okay?" "I told my mother we're moving and she got very upset, started throwing things. Even Plagg couldn't calm her down. She's not the...the same, Princess." "I'm sorry. Here, hold on." I push a button, and a nurse comes into the room. "Could you watch her for a bit?" "Of course, she's such a delightful child."

Carefully, I get out of bed with Adrien's and the nurses help. We don't go far, but I make sure the room we enter is soundproof. "Here, sit down on the bed." I sit down beside him, and he sighs a heavy sigh. "Your sacrificing so much. I don't know how you got through half of the things you've been through." Adrien leans his head against mine. "That's easy, Bugaboo. You entered my life and my world changed." "I-I don't know what to say." "You don't have to, love. You love me, and those are words enough. Adrien tilts my chin, angling it towards his lips. Then were kissing, and I can't seem to get enough of the sweetness of his mouth. "Could you do something for me?" Adrien asks, laying back upon the bed. "Yeah." "Could you give me a massage? Or just touch me?" "I'll need you sit up, but I think I can manage."

I help Adrien out of his shirt, leaving my hands on his warm chest. I keep my eyes closed as I give him his next instructions. "All right, lay back down." I trail little kisses down his chest, and Adrien sighs playing with my hair.

I don't have a lot of energy, but for Adrien, I do just about anything. We end up falling asleep, his arm around my waist, and we sleep deeply. I wake with a start, sitting up. "Emma. Adrien, where's Emma?"

Adrien is still next to me, but now Emma is here as well. "That's a good name for her. See her little tuft of hair?" Little black wisps stick up in all directions and when I gently touch it, its like silk. Then she begins to wail. "Come here, sweetie. You hungry?"

Adrien stares impressed as Emma settles down instantly once she's happily sucking away. I see a shadow of a pout cross his face. "What?" "Whenever I meowed for food, did you take pity on me? No." "You may be my husband now, but you'll always be my fur ball." "How about I get us some food?" My stomach growls and I realize just how hungry I am. "Sounds good. If they have any could you get some fried rice or dumplings?" Adrien leans over to kiss my cheek. "I'll see what I can do."

I slowly get up after Emma's feeding, and decide to take the outside route back to our room. Its the end of the day, so the night air is cool and sweet. I stop when I see Autumn talking to Orion, a serious look on her normally sweet face. Her hair is tied up in a ponytail, and it swishes gently when I approach. Emma reaches out for Emma, babbling and Autumn takes her happily. "Out on a walk?" she asks. I nod. "I wanted to take a different route back to our room for supper. Is everything okay?"

Orion straightens up, his weathered hands are full of cattails, and just for a moment I'm curious what he plans to use them for. "Adrien's mother's mind is shutting off, Marinette. Though the doctors we're able to bring her back, it was a possibility there's be side effects." "Adrien and I talked about it earlier. He's accepted it, or at least, he's handling it well. Maybe we'll go see her tomorrow. Tell her about the island."

"Er, I'm not sure that's a good idea." The grumbles in my stomach dissipate. "We told Emile of your coming move, and she had a tantrum. No, its best that you say a silent goodbye. I know its hard, honey, but its better for everyone." I feel tears on my cheeks, and Autumn comes to put her arm around me. "Does Adrien know?" "Yes."

I know Adrien is strong, but shouldering this burden, I would be crushed. Though Adrien has endured many hardships being under his father's thumb. If anyone can do this, its Adrien. "Do you want us to walk back to the room with you, dear?" I shake my head. "I'll be fine. But could watch Emma for awhile?" "Of course. These cattails rushes are for a stuffed horse for Emma. It won't sew itself, after all."

I find Adrien setting the steaming bowls of food on the table, and I can smell coffee and mint tea. I walk into the room, shutting the door behind me. "Hey." "Hey," he says, then walks over when he sees my expression. "You okay?" "You should be the one asking yourself that question. Adrien, your mother just came back and we're going to leave, possibly never seeing them again. How can you be okay?" Tears are running down my cheeks. Sure, I've had hardship as Ladybug and Marinette, but never like this. Adrien kisses my tears away. "I already told you, love. If you are by my side, I can face anything."

I crack a very small smile. "And here I thought you had a very naughty tail, Kitten." He grins back at me, those green eyes sparkling with warmth, mischief and love. "Oh, I'm sure the naughty tail will make a reappearance. Its just when your not watching."

I brush my fingers against his cheek. "Your a dork. But I love you." "Correction: I'm your dork, and it will take much more then that to get rid of me." "Oh, you mean like the vacuum?" "My Lady, you wouldn't dare!"

I smile sweetly and start to saunter away, when he grabs my hand. "There are much more fun ways to be naughty," he whispers lifting a corner of my shirt. He finds my bra clasps easily, and tosses it across the room. "I like this kind of naughty," I tell him as he pulls down my panties and lays me out on the bed.

Adrien is gentle with his lovemaking, and I weave my fingers through his soft hair before trailing my hands over his powerful shoulders down his back and lower…

"You smell good," Adrien says, as he twirls a lock of hair around his finger. We're cuddled up under the covers. "Do I smell like tuna?" I giggle. "Princess, do not give me ideas." "What would you do? Splash tuna juice over me?" Adrien licks his lips. "Now, your making me hungry." "We have food that's very cold sitting right over there."

We change into comfortable pajamas and just in time too, because Orion comes in carrying Emma. Her little head is resting on his shoulder, fast asleep and I can see a spot of drool. I love how she trusts them so much already, and she's only a few days old!

I mention it to Adrien as we crawl into bed. "She'll be an excellent Ladybug," he says, with a hint of pride to his voice.

I smile, thinking of Emma in a little red suit with the cute diaper. I fall asleep quickly, and Emma is waiting for me as soon as I enter Dreamland….

"You want to go for a ride on the rooftops?" I ask, picking her up and swinging her around. She laughing and cooing, and I settle her into my sling. "Hold on tight. Cause this Bug can fly!"

As I jump and swing I feel a rush of happiness carrying me higher and higher into the clouds. "Look! There's Daddy!" Adrien as Cat squats down and Emma, determined girl that she is, drops down on all fours and starts crawling to Daddy.

"Good job!" Cat lifts her into his arms, and Emma is mesmerized by his gold bell. "Hear, it makes music," I twirl up to them and flick Kitty's golden bell, sending out golden tones.

"How lucky you are, my Bugaboo,

Mommy and Daddy love you.

Twirl and spin, sing and dance,

For Emma Aggregate is the happiest thing in my life."

Wait, Aggregate? I wake up, shivering. "Adrien?" I touch his side of the bed, but its cold and empty which can only mean one thing. Something bad has happening during the night, and I think I know what it is.

Emma sees me and gives a little wail and turn to comfort and nurse her. But Emma pats my cheek before burrowing into nurse, did she somehow know I was distressed?

Adrien comes into the room suddenly, and I can tell by the look on his face that his mother has left us and she's gone.
