I don't own Harry Potter, just having a little fun while I can.
Well, it wasn't as long of a wait as it was last time. Sorry though. I am trying to keep to a schedule at the moment with my writing and my editing. It might just get things updated faster. Especially my older fics, and ones that I am unsure of.
Enjoy!

Chapter Twenty Two
Bye Bye Headmaster Dippit
Harry picked up the paper as he walked into the study. He had just finished a small mission after a rogue werewolf that had attacked a young child. Harry and his partner hadn't been able to find the rogue werewolf and Harry had a feeling that this one would turn up again and again over the years. He opened the paper up as he sat down and smiled. The blazing headline took the over half the page.
Headmaster Dippit Retires
Headmaster Armando Dippit (91) has made a shock move in retiring from the post of Headmaster, only the third to do so in the history of the school. It has been an almost tradition that previous headmasters continue on until they pass away at their post. The last to retire was Headmaster Richard Morgain, who retired in 1639 at the age of 104, serving over fifty years at the school as headmaster and twenty years before that as a teacher of Ancient Runes. Headmaster Dippit has only been headmaster for thirty years, and was a teacher of Charms for only seven years before obtaining the position as senior teacher after the Dragon Pox Epidemic of 1925 that spread throughout the school, killing most of the senior staff, and over one hundred students.
Headmaster Dippit has said that he would like to retire now and that he is ready to pass the torch of teaching and the shaping of young minds to someone else, who also has a vision of the future. We have been told that Transfiguration Professor Albus Dumbledore (74) will be taking over the post and is looking forward to taking on the role of Headmaster of our prestigious School.
"I have been a transfiguration professor for thirty years, since the unfortunate and untimely death of the previous professor due to the Dragon Pox Epidemic. I have always felt that my life would be best served in being within the school teaching and helping the young minds that will one day drive our world to a better future. I look forward to becoming the headmaster and I hope that I will be one of the best to take on such a role." Albus Dumbledore said for our paper.
We wish luck to Headmaster Dippit and whatever he is going to be doing in his retirement, and we wish the best to Albus Dumbledore when he takes over the position. We hope that he will be able to live up to the headmasters and the few headmistresses that have helped shape out world in the past.
Harry smiled, it was yet another thing he knew would be happening, though he didn't really know when Albus would become headmaster of Hogwarts, since it wasn't something that he had actively learned about in the furture. Harry put down the paper and stood up, intent on finding Tom to give him the news, since he wasn't the type to read it, not since he had opened the orphanage.
It didn't take long for Harry to find his husband in one of the playrooms; around him were the smaller children, those between 2 and 4 years old. There weren't many of them, only seven at the moment. Though Harry knew they would be getting a three year old in two days time, he was muggle born and his parents had recently died in a Muggle car accident, it was only because of the childs own magic that his life has been saved. It had also brought him to the attention of the ministry.
"Dippit is retiring," he said as he walked up behind his husband.
Tom turned as he asked, "I take it that Albus is taking over the role?"
Harry chuckled, "yep, he is."
Tom nodded, "Wonder who might take over as Transfiguration teacher then," he pondered a little as Harry joined him on the floor and began to play with the children. Harry had no answer, even though he had a good idea as to who it would be.

Minerva looked around as she sat in the small study in the orphanage. She looked down to the letter she had been writing and scrunched it up and threw it behind her. She had no idea that someone had just walked into the room.
"What's wrong?" Harry asked as he walked over to the desk, the scrunched up parchment in his hand.
"They're looking for a transfiguration teacher at Hogwarts. I have my Masters, but I don't know if I will do any good there. I'm a bit of a soft touch." She said with a sigh as she sat back in the chair as Harry took a seat in the one near her.
"Mini," he said, getting her attention, "I know that you will be a wonderful teacher, pushing your students to do better. Don't forget you're a Gryfindor, be brave, you have been for a lot of things. You need to do this and go for it. This is a chance of a lifetime, and I know that you'll get the position." He told her, reassuring her that she would do fine and that she should go for her dream. He shook his head a little at the soft touch comment, knowing that she was anything but.
Minerva nodded and smiled; she gave a little chuckle, "Sometimes I wonder how you get your beliefs. You believe that I'll be a teacher; yet, I would be the youngest one there. I'm only 31, the youngest teacher before me was 57."
Harry couldn't help but smile and shake his head; he thought of Professor Snape for a moment, he now held the record for the youngest teacher at 18. "You'll be fine, you know what you want, so go for it. You'll get it."
Minerva smiled and then began to pen another letter to the newly installed Headmaster Dumbledore. Harry watched her and smiled. "I've got a reprt to finish so if you don't mind the company, I'll join you in here to get it done."
Minerva nodded and the two went silent as they worked.

Harry was a little tired, he had been chasing after another Vampire for most of the day. The Vampire had been newly turned. He had tried to stop himself from drinking any blood, which led to a Blood Fever, thankfully, Harry and Moody had been able to get to him before he hurt anyone. He was handed over to a Coven and they were taking care of the Newborn Vampire.
"I got it!" Came a yell as he opened the front door and walked into the orphanage.
Harry as a little startled at the yell but looked as Minerva came running towards him, "You did?"
She nodded, her smiled lighting up her normally stern features, "yes, I did. I really didn't think I would. I was so sure that he would chose someone more experienced, there was someone there that had taught at Salem." He almost laughed as she giggled like a girl, elated at her new job.
"I told you, you would get it." He smiled to her.
"I don't know where it came from, but I am so thankful that you pushed me to go for it. This is a dream come true for me. I am now Professor McGonagall, Transfiguration Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry." She smiled, proud of herself, as she stood up straighter.
"Congratulations," he nodded and hugged her, "now, why don't I get Tom and some of the others, and we shall go and have dinner to celebrate."
Minerva nodded, "That would be wonderful, thank you." She smiled.
Harry quickly changed as Tom contacted everyone to get them to meet them at the restaurant in Hogsmeade. IT would be nice to dine with view of Hogwarts. Harry couldn't help but miss the place, even though it had been some time since he had gone to school there. They celebrated well that night, and it was made even more special for Minerva when Albus came down and joined them.
Well, I do hope that you have enjoyed that little chapter. Thank you for the reviews so far! Love you all!
