Throwing an arm over her face, Hermione groans as her phone continues buzzing. It had been buzzing for the last twenty minutes. Glaring at the offending light, Hermione pulled her phone to her and pushed to answer it.
"Hullo?" She answered dully, pausing as she recognized the voice on the other side of the line. "HARRY!" She practically squealed. "Merlin it's been way too long, how are you? How's Ginny? How's my little Teddy-bear? And how's Ron and Lavender?" Harry chuckled at how excited she sounded.
"Take a breath 'Mione." Harry's voice was calming; for once. "I'm fine, Ginny is pregnant." Hermione could practically hear the smile in Harry's voice as he continued. "Ron and Lav are fine, still in their honeymoon stage." Hermione grimaced at the thought she had gotten enough of it during her fifth.
"What about Teddy?" She asked again. No answer was heard from Harry. "Dammit Harry what happened!?" Hermione was growling into the phone. "If you don't tell me right now, I will crawl through this phone and personally castrate you and this will be the only child you will ever be able to have, so help me-"
"...Teddy is living with the Weasley's at the moment." Harry tried to soothe.
"Why? What happened to Andromeda, Harry what is it that you're not telling me?" Hermione knew she was begging but she didn't care. "Please, tell me."
"There was… an attack, and well… She's in St. Mungos."
'DAMMIT HARRY!" Hermione yelled into the phone. "Why didn't you tell me! I know Teddy is your godson, but he's also mine! I have a bloody right to know that he isn't with his Grandma!" With a critical eye, Hermione surveyed her motel room. "Secrecy be damned." She growled to herself, "I'm coming over." She all but growled at the phone before snapping it shut and throwing it into her bag, uncaring if it broke. Waving her wand all of her items zoomed into her bag and turning onto her heel she left with a pop.
"MIONE!" Teddy yelled as he saw Hermione appear in the backyard. With a run he rammed into her with a sob. "I missed you!" Leaning down Hermione picked him up and walked into The Burrow.
"So why wasn't I aware of what happened?" Hermione coldly asked, clutching Teddy tighter to her. The toddler started to squirm slightly in her arms, but Hermione ignored it.
"Hermione dear!" Mrs Weasley said as she wrapped her in her arms. "Kingsley thought it was best that you didn't know right now." Molly's blue eyes searched Hermione's chocolate ones.
"What happened exactly?" Hermione asked, trying to keep her voice even.
"Andromeda had just put Teddy to bed when her wards were tripped, she barely got Teddy into the floo." Tears were streaming down Molly's face.
"Is she alright?" Hermione felt her heart pounding, her head was spinning. Putting Teddy into George's arms Hermione clutched onto Molly's robes. "Tell me she's fine, tell me." She softly sobbed onto the older woman's shoulder.
"I wish I could." Molly whispered, Hermione felt tears land onto her head.
"Who was it?" She whispered. Molly just shook her head.
"They don't know."
"I'm taking Teddy." Hermione left no room for argument. Molly simply nodded, knowing that nothing she did would stop Hermione. Scooping the little boy back into her arms she turned on her heels and disappeared back to the crappy motel she was in before. Quickly leaving the room, she turned the key back into the front and left. Clinging onto Teddy the whole time. Never again would she leave her little boy.
"Hey 'Mione." Sirius said casually as Hermione stormed into his room. "What's all the fus-" He abruptly cut off as he saw the three year old Teddy in Hermione's arms.
"Were you aware that your cousin is in St. Mungos?" Hermione stalked to him, jabbing a finger into his shirt. "Hmm? Because she is and no one told me a damn thing about it." Growling she pushed her finger hard into his chest before turning and walking away. "Oh and Kingsley wants you back in London to find Andromeda's attacker." Without another word Hermione left, seeing Sirius's guilt stricken face was too much for her.
It had been a few months since she last had contact with anyone from the Wizarding World, not that Hermione was complaining, she was able to have Teddy with her at all times and no one could do anything about it. Sighing she looked regretfully at Teddy, who had to move all around a strange place without knowing why. And Hermione refused to tell him until he was older.
"Be a good boy for Dona for me okay Teddy?" Hermione told him, forming it to seem like a question as Teddy's sandy-haired head bobbed up and down. Giving him a quick hug she turned to the baby-sitter. "Okay, so I'm going to be gone for about four to five hours, here are emergency numbers you can call if you need to, movies are over there" Hermione gestured to the cabinet that held all of her movies. "There's food in the fridge, and his bedtime is at seven." The baby-sitter nodded and waved to Hermione as she left. Quickly getting into her car and off to her work. Or where she was pretending to work.
Arriving at the club Hermione shuddered, quickly heading to the back she slipped in and went into the back where she was changing into the… Ahem… Proper attire for the job. Grimmacing at the clothes, she quickly shed her clothes and pulled on the outfit. With a turn to the mirror she picked up the foundation and cover-up to put on her scars that were showing all along her body. The sequined top barely covered anything and the bottoms were barely there. After she had finished with her make up and hair. Hermione sighed and went to work.
After four long grueling hours Hermione finally was able to put on her pants and long sleeved shirt on. Slipping off the stilettos she pulled on her flats and turned to leave the strip club. Turning at the last second to go back into the fray of the crowd, she needed a drink.
Walking towards the bar, Hermione ignored the girls stripping and using the pole as she had. Sitting down at the bar/strip club Hermione swirled her drink around the glass. Slowly looking over each of the patrons in front of her. Her eyes narrowed as she scanned the area looking for Dolohov, her next target, with Greyback out of the way, it was only natural for her to take revenge, after all he had tortured and killed her parents in front of her while she was helpless to save them. Shaking her head slightly, she continued her search. When she was sure he wasn't anywhere in sight, Hermione smirked. Tomorrow she had some hunting to do.
