Chapter 15

North and the Guardians were flying above S.t Petersburg. They were flying faster than before since one of the Guardian's ally territories was under attack.

"North, we need to use the globe right now, we don't have much time." Tooth said as she looked down to the city.

North took out a Snow-globe, telling it to take them to the Lorax's lair. Quickly, he threw it in mid-air and created the swirling vortex of color that would take them to their destination.

Chayim – or Eren – held Anya's hand after he noticed her fidgeting from nervousness, "It's going to be alright, Anya." He said before North's sleigh entered through a magic portal.

It was morning in the Lorax's lair. The birds usually chirped this time to greet the sun. However, right now, the whole forest was shaking after as a Giant Dream-Eater tore down a tree.

"Left flank group A! Retreat to the clearing! Right Flank Groups B to D, Retreat!" the Lorax shouted in panic. Groups of walking bears, flamingos, parrots, and lizards and snails fought against the unbeatable giants, and ran towards the large glowing blue tree at the center of the clearing.

It served as their last shelter against such an attack.

"Oh my god…I wish North would get here faster." The Lorax said in despair.

More Dream-Eaters suddenly appeared and started knocking down his trees, disturbing the wild-life living within them. This day was supposed to be peaceful like all the rest, but right now it was slowly being destroyed.

The Lorax suddenly heard a familiar sound of a magic portal opening in the sky. He looked up and saw North's sleigh flying high above him.

"Thank God, they're here!" The Lorax said.

"Holy Lord of Moons! They're beatin' the forest bad!" Bunnymund said while looking down from the sleigh.

"We'll descend now! Let's go!" North maneuvered his sleigh and they begin to descend. The Guardians held on tight and prepared to fight off the Dream-Eaters.

"North, do you have any plans?!" Jack asked.

"I shall think of something!"

Chayim stared down at the ground as the forest was slowly eradicated by the Dream-Eaters. He grunted and shouted.

"How about this?!" the boy, without a thought, jumped out of the sleigh and descended to the ground infested with Giants. The Guardians looked down and couldn't believe what he had done.

"Eren! Wait for us!" Jack shouted but the boy replied.

"IT'S CHAYIM! THAT'S MY REAL NAME!" the Guardians looked at each other, clueless on what the boy had said. But before they could react, a blinding light came out from Chayim.

"What the bloody sap was that…?" The Lorax looked at the blinding light that shone brightly in the sky and disappeared, followed by a loud thud that shook the forest. Something heavy had fallen.

His thoughts were cut short when he heard the roar of a Dream-Eater. Slowly, a horde of Dream-Eaters started to move towards the tree where all of the Lorax's friends were hiding. He tried to call the last remaining defenses, which was the lily pods that were floating in the water surrounding the clearing.

The horde of Dream-Eaters entered the water ferociously. The Lorax shouted and commanded the lily pods to attack.

"Lily pods!" the lily pods responded. Using their vines, they began restraining the Giants in the water.

'That'll slow them down…' the Lorax thought, when he heard a rumbling sound. He looked at the forest on the edge of the water where, suddenly, a large giant appeared and crashed into the water.

The Lorax's eyes grew wide as the mysterious Giant punched a Dream-Eater.

"What on Earth…is that thing!?" The Lorax took a step back.

"Lorax! We're here!" he turned around and saw North and his Guardians running towards him.

"What happened? Why are you under attack my friend?" North asked.

"I don't know! They suddenly came out of nowhere-" they heard the mysterious Giant scream and kick a Dream-Eater that was biting his leg.

"What is that?!"

"That's our new found friend, Eren. He's a Titan, and…" North took his two swords, and the Guardians readied their weapons, "He's a Guardian."

His eyes grew wide again after the Guardians charged towards the battlefield.

"Sir, we should get inside." He turned around and was startled to see Anya.

"Anya, my dear, what're -"

"Now's not the time Sir, we should get inside." Anya and the Lorax quickly ran towards the arch way of the tree.

Bunnymund and the Sandman, on Sandy's make-shift cloud of golden sand, slashed at the nape of a Giant and flew into another one. North and Tooth we're concentrating on one Giant with their attacks. And Jack flew above and created many hard ice balls that rained down on a small group of Dream-Eaters.

The Titan, who was surrounded by ten Dream-Eaters, smashed one of them into the water. He then spun around and planted his right elbow into the head of another, disintegrating it in an instant.

The fighting continued until the last one of the Giants stood. The Titan then punched the head of the Giant, disintegrating it to golden dust.

"That's the last one of them." North said. The Titan, still standing, roared through the forest loud enough to shake the earth and trees.

The Guardians looked at the Titan whose sharp eyes suddenly darted to a tall tree standing beside him. The Titan suddenly grabbed the tree by the trunk, and pulled it out from the ground.

The Guardians watched in shock as the Titan opened its large mouth and put the top of the tree inside its mouth and chewed it.

"Now what is he doing?" Bunny watched, puzzled by the action. The Guardians then suddenly moved away after the Titan threw the large trunk of the tree on the ground where they stood before.

"No! Don't let him eat my trees!" They all looked at the tree in the middle of the clearing where the Lorax and Anya stood.

"Stop him!" The Lorax ran with his little feet.

'Uh-oh…this is bad.' Jack, hoping to appease the forest Guardian, flew to a tree beside the Titan.

"Eren, stop!" The winter sprite shouted, making the Titan look at him with his sharp eyes.

"Whatever you're doing, stop it. This is one of the Lorax's trees." Jack pleaded. But he was surprised by the Titan's reaction. It growled at him.

"Eren?" Jack called once more, before the Titan raised its right hand, and punched the tree where the winter sprite stood.

The Guardians were shocked from what the Titan had done. Jack flew above and landed on a tree behind the Titan.

"Eren! What did you do that for?! Don't you remember me?!" Jack shouted. But the Titan only turned and hit the tree where the winter sprite landed.

"Eren is out of control! We have to help Jack!" Bunny said as he hopped to tree. He lunged himself upward and attempted to slash the Titan's neck.

"No Bunny! You'll kill him!" Jack blocked Bunny and they both landed hard on the ground.

"What're you doing frostbite?! That thing is gonna kill you!" Bunny snapped.

"That thing is Eren! He's our friend-"the winter sprite's sentence was cut when North grabbed them both before the Titan's right fist slammed into the ground where they used to be.

"What're you two doing slowpokes!? Eren was about to turn you into pancakes!" North said as he put them back on the ground.

The Titan roared loud and looked at the group of Guardians. They all stared in horror.

"Eren…it's us…" North and the Guardians back away slowly.

The Titan growled, then suddenly ran towards them.

The Guardians prepared their weapons as the Titan charged at them. Suddenly they saw a familiar green swarm of Tooth-fairies, forming a gigantic fist, and punched the Titan on its right cheek.

The Titan, head veering from the powerful impact, tripped and fell to the ground face first.

The Guardians looked up and saw Tooth buzzing above them triumphantly.

"Bad! Eren! Bad! Don't hurt your own friends!" she scolded and landed together with her Mini-fairies.

"Nice works girls," she smiled and landed, "And you too Anya." The Guardians turned and looked at Anya, who was breathing hard.

"I thought he was going to eat you all, so I had to help." She explained and summoned a vine that slowly wrapped around the lower extremities of the unconscious Titan. Then she summoned many strong and sturdy trees that covered the Titan's back to act as a restraint.

"Anya, are you alright?" The Lorax approached her, huffing and puffing from running.

"I'm alright sir." Anya replied.

"Nice work there Anya and Toothy, two A's for both of you!" North said and laughed.

"I wonder what happened to Eren…" Jack looked at the unconscious face of the Titan.

"I finally got it! A sample!" Tooth, together with his little helpers, carried a large white item; what seemed to be a molar tooth of the Titan.

"Heh, punched him hard enough eh Tooth?" Bunny said with a chuckled.

Suddenly the Titan roared. The Guardians readied their weapons again, alarmed that the Titan had awakened.

The Titan tried to stand, but the trees and vines prevented him from doing so. He struggled and tried to free himself. The Guardians watched and heard a crack from one of the trees.

"We should calm him down." Bunny suggested, but Anya disagreed.

"He's not an animal, maybe he can be reasoned with." She then slowly walked towards the Titan.

"Eren, stop it now!" she shouted, but the Titan growled and screamed. Breath and saliva flew from the mouth of the Titan and hit Anya.

Anya fell to the ground. She looked up to the Titan's sharp eyes and stood up again, her face clouded with anger. She summoned a tree beside the head of the Titan, commanded it to bend, and slapped the Titan's face.

"Calm down! What's wrong with you!?" the Titan turned and didn't roar back, like it was shocked. He looked at her and growled.

"This isn't you! You're better and smatter than this! We're your friends," she sighed and attempted to approach him, "Chayim, calm down." She added.

The Titan's eyes suddenly moved. He stared at her as the girl approached him and attempted to touch him.

"Chayim?" Anya noticed the black on the Titan's eyes grow wide. Anya finally reached the Titan's face. She was only ten inches away from his mouth.

She extended her right hand in attempt to touch the Titan's nose.

The Titan growled slowly but kept his eyes locked on her. Then what seemed to be a century of waiting the Titan moved a little and let the girl's hand touch the tip of his sharp nose.
