Sabbra laid on her jelly bed as she stared at the ceiling. She rolled over and spotted Cryo, who sat on a flight of stairs in her room. He sat there and stared at her with his icy reptilian eyes for what felt like hours to Sabbra.
Sabbra woke up and moved into a sitting position. She rubbed her tired eyes and yawned. She looked down at her sash and pulled on it to tighten it. [These nitemares, I can't sleep like this...] She thought as she stood up and rubbed her back and neck, which had considerably healed during the night. The hole in her abdomen had fully healed by now. She readjusted her hoodie and looked around. "Huh...all the trash is gone?" Sabbra said to herself as she looked around the spotless room. "I don't remember cleaning my room...weird."
She checked her hoodie's pockets and took out her unicomm and bounty receiver. Both were demolished. She groaned and walked over to a drawer in her room. She pulled open both the top and bottom drawers, dropping the destroyed devices on the bottom one, which housed many other previously broken devices. The top one had dozens of fresh new ones. ["Oh but buying like a hundred of each device is a bad idea, bro!" Yeah right, who's laughing now.] Sabbra thought as she picked another pair of devices. She pocketed the new unicomm and pressed the green center of the bounty receiver.
"Name: Majin Sabbra. Passcode: One Nine O' Six O' Two." She said into the device, but it flickered red. "Right... Name: Majin Sabbra. Passcode: One Nine Zero Six O'-SHIT, RESET!...One Nine Zero Six Zero Two." She said as she leaned into the drawer and let out a sigh of relief afterwards. The device flickered blue as she logged into her account. It would then beep. "Ugh not right now! I'll take a job when I'm fully healed, leave it on hold!" She said as she pocketed the device that stopped beeping due to her command. She walked up the flight of stairs in her room to exit it.
She opened a hatch at the end of the stairs which led onto a small beach island surrounded by an ocean. It was nighttime, the sand was a light grey color, and it constantly rained over the ocean. Sabbra walked out of her little underground home and sat close to the water, letting out a deep sigh. "Just me...hiding on my little nameless beach planet..." She said as a wave hit her legs. The water was very cold. She let out a small gasp, quickly backed away from the water and looked towards the ocean. She began to tremble a bit and looked away. She laid back and stared into the night sky, letting out a yawn. "Maybe I'll... get better...sleep...up...here..." She closed her eyes.
Not long after, her slumber was interrupted as a loud crash could be heard in the ocean. "GODSDAMNIT! WHAT NOW!?" Sabbra's eyes snapped open as she stood up and dusted some grey sand off her clothes. Water from the crash had splashed on her, which she quickly evaporated as she released fire from her airholes.
A large cargo spaceship could be seen in the ocean as it slowly floated towards the island. A gate on the ship opened and a ramp came out. Dozens of corpses began sliding and rolling down the ramp, pouring into the water and spreading around the island.
"...What...what is this?" Sabbra said as she slowly walked closer to the water, approaching a dead body that washed ashore. She let out a gasp as the decaying corpse opened its eyes. Its eyes glowed a prominent blue color. "You're the regenerator...is that correct?" The corpse said in a ghastly voice.
"Who...who the hell are you and how did you find me?" Sabbra said as she took a few steps back. "Oh I'm sure you have heard of me before. Don't my eyes and arsenal give it away?" The body said, its head creaked as it turned to face the retreating Sabbra.
"Blue glowing eyes?...arsenal?" Sabbra said, and looked at its eyes and then at the bodies in the water. "Take your time." The corpse said as Sabbra pondered for a bit. She gasped as it hit her. "...You're a...Somnecro wraith...right? You-you're just a boogeyman meant to scare lazy kids!" She said. "Somnecro wraith, monster, demon, cryptid...I like Friktos the most...A magical being like you wasn't hard for me to track down. That Cryo guy seems keen on keeping you alive. HE HIRED WISELY!" Friktos said as its body snapped up and pounced towards Sabbra.
Sabbra jumped up and kicked its head off. A dark blue ghostly figure could be seen as it ejected from the headless corpse and into the water. The wraith switched into a different body and lunged at her again, but Sabbra took out her ki claws and slashed upwards to cut it in half. Friktos repeated the process once more by switching corpses and lunging at her, but this time, right as Sabbra was about to slash it, Friktos dodged the claws and punched her down to the beach.
Sabbra panted and rubbed her eyes. Friktos suddenly landed on top of her and pinned her down. "Tired? That's good. I wasn't sure if your kind needed rest, so I brought these backups. You recognize my legend, so you probably know how I work." Friktos said as it grabbed onto her head. Sabbra took a deep breath and spewed fire at Friktos' head, melting it. She then kicked the headless body off her and quickly looked over to the cargo ship. "Kai Kai!" She said and teleported towards its roof.
Now on the roof of the cargo ship, she aimed hand towards the ocean. "What did she call it again?...Star...Star...Star Chaser!" Sabbra unleashed a barrage of blue tracking beams from her fingers which targeted and destroyed many of the bodies in the water.
Sabbra felt her eyelids grow heavier as time went on. She fell onto her knees as she began panting harder. [Cryo sent this thing to get me...I can't believe it found me HERE...I can't even be in my own home now. I can't live like this. How do I even kill a ghost?] Sabbra thought as she forced herself to stay awake.
Sabbra heard rumbling underneath as large claws broke through the roof and pulled her down into the ship. She fell down into a dark room, where she stood up and looked around until she spotted the already familiar blue dots in the darkness. "You wouldn't believe the exotic creatures these ships may harbor." Friktos' voice could be heard as green electricity surged, lighting up the area to reveal a black dragon with glowing green colored veins around its body and broken shackles. "People would pay millions for even the remains of a Spaceshock dragon." Friktos' voice could be heard from the inside of the Spaceshock dragon's decomposed body as its jaw and tongue simply hung wide open.
Sabbra aimed a finger gun and shot at the dragon, but the blast was overpowered as it fired out a green electric beam which sent Sabbra back all the way to the beach and was buried underneath the grey sand. The Spaceshock dragon flew over to the island and looked for its target. Friktos began flapping the dragon's wings over the sand, blowing it away while trying to check where Sabbra was buried.
"Kai Kai!" Heard Friktos from the distance as Sabbra suddenly appeared on top of its head. It began shaking its head as she latched on. She created a Shatter Orb and rammed it into one of the dragon's rotten eyes before jumping off. Friktos managed to reach out and slash her back open with its claws before the Shatter Orb detonated, bursting the dragon's head.
Sabbra landed face down on the beach again, smoking due to the Spaceshock blast and bleeding due to the claw swipe. She groaned in pain and then irritation as she saw Friktos walk up to her, with half of the dragon's head being obliterated. It looked over her for a bit as it paced around her in a circle. It leaned its damaged head in to take a closer look at her slow self-healing wound.
"Your body is regenerating. Cryo's information was right. A body that cannot decay...with you, I'll be truly immortal." Friktos said as it gazed at Sabbra, forming the best smile it could possibly muster. "...Kai...Kai..." Sabbra said before she suddenly disappeared, to Friktos' surprise and dismay.
Sabbra reappeared on the skyscraper's rooftop where she was originally hired to assassinate Cryo. She closed her eyes. "I...wow...he really let me do that... Somnecro wraiths... they're real...and that one can track me down and take over my body if I fall asleep...great...I better sleep now before it finds me again." She said as she closed her eyes, exhaling deeply and slowly drifting off, hoping for no nightmares this time.
