Same Day: Tom's Dream

Outside: Tom's Balcony

Tom was sitting on his balcony stone railing, Janna standing beside him as she interrupted his peaceful moment/silence.

Tom fiddles with his knife for a second before asking, as he doesn't look at Janna, "Why is it you come at this hour?"

Janna answers, "I came here to tell you to be more careful. Today in battle, you were being more reckless than usual."

Tom turns his head and narrows his eyes at Janna, "'More reckless than usual'. You came here to criticize me."

Janna denies, "No, I-"

Tom exclaims in frustration, "Yes, you did. You came here to boost your ego by telling me that I'm reckless." Tom shakes his head in disbelief. He turns around, gets off the railing, and angrily walks back inside.

Inside: Tom's Bedroom

Janna follows Tom to his bedroom, "Tom-" The two are always arguing about something. They did not like each other when growing up, always at each other's neck with everything.

Tom stops walking and turns to Janna, making her stop abruptly, his expression angry, "I thought you trusted me when it comes to me fighting in the field."

Janna tells Tom angrily but also honestly, "I do. I just think that you need to be more careful."

Tom repeats in disbelief, not understanding why Janna is telling him this, "More careful? I can take care of myself, Janna."

Janna snaps, "I know that!"

Tom shouts, "Then why would you come all the way down here to tell me that?! There are plenty of others that are more reckless than me-" He gets cut off by Janna suddenly kissing him. Tom's eyes widen in surprise, and then he pushes Janna away from him, "What the hell?!" Janna, panting, staring at him silently, also shocked herself.

Tom is still holding his knife. Then he starts to slash at her angrily. Janna dodges and ducks each swing. Tom and Janna face each other before Tom goes to swing at her, but she grabs his right wrist and pushes him against a column, holding both of his wrists above his head.

Both panting and staring at one another as Janna holds both of his wrists in one hand as the other grabs Tom's knife and throws it away from them.

Janna tells Tom as he struggles angrily in her grasp, "Tom, stop." Tom obeys and stares at her before crashing his lips against hers. Janna responds right away. They kiss hungrily for a few minutes. Janna lifts her left leg and wraps it around his hip, hustling him closer to her. They both groan at the feeling as their lower areas press against each other. Janna pulls away, breathlessly staring into Tom's eyes, and confesses, "I love you, Tom." Tom went to kiss her again but stopped when he heard her. Tom's expression is confused. Janna glances down as she continues, "I have always loved you since we were younger."

Tom shakes his head, the anger long gone, "Why didn't you tell me before?"

Janna shrugs, looking down bashfully, "I was afraid you wouldn't feel the same."

Tom tells Janna softly, "But I do feel the same." Janna looks at him, surprised, "I've loved you since I was 13." He chuckles a bit, "I guess we were both mad and mean to each other because we thought that we didn't love one another." Janna chuckles and presses her forehead softly against his.

Janna lets go of Tom's wrist and wraps her arms around his neck, pulling him into a kiss. Tom's hands then run up and down her back as she tangles her fingers through his hair. Tom then slips off her robe, and the thin material falls smoothly on the floor.

Janna helps Tom take off his upper body clothing, making him shirtless. She runs her fingers softly across his chest and torso before looking up at Tom, who is staring at her breathlessly. He softly and slowly grazes her cheek with the back of his fingers.

Janna slides her hands up Tom's chest to cup the back of his head and bring him down to kiss him passionately. Not breaking the kiss, Tom leans down and grabs the back of her thighs, lifting her up to his waist, turning over, and walking over to his bed, laying her down gently. Janna wraps herself around him to bring him closer as they kiss passionately, making the whole night special as they come together as one for the first but not the last time.

Reality: SVARTALFHEIM

Star's Skiff

Tom wakes up with a gasp of surprise. He turns his head and looks at a smirking Janna. She asks, "Pleasant dreams, my love?" She used his line from when he got in her head. Tom says nothing. He glares hard at Janna. She leans forward in her seat, "Now we're even."

Tom stands up, his anger getting the best of him, and goes to punch Janna but gets stopped by Star, who wraps her arms around his waist from behind, lifts him up, "Tom, enough!" Star turns around and puts him down. He turns around to try to push past Star but she holds him back by the shoulders, "Tom, stop!" Tom stops, looking at her in anger as he holds her forearms. Star says and looks at him calmly, "It's not worth it." Tom looks back at a surprised Janna. He's reluctant to back down from punching her for what she put him through. Star looks and says to him softly, "Trust me, it's not worth it." Tom finally calms down, nodding. They let go of one another, and he sits down on the bench beside Marco and Jackie, far away from Janna. Star sits down across from Janna, looking at Tom. She tells Janna lowly for him not to hear, "Stop provoking him."

Janna looks at Star in disbelief, talking lowly, "What? I'm only replying back for what he did to me." She got him back as he gave her a teasing sex dream, but she gave him a flashback to when they first got together and realized that they loved one another.

Star glances at Janna, her tone hard but lowered, "I don't care, just leave him be."

Janna sighs in annoyance, saying sarcastically, "As you wish, sister." She looks at Tom, the memories of them together still fresh in her mind.

Minutes later, still gliding over the top of the remains of the ruins of the Dark Lizard City. Jackie and Marco woke up abruptly. Their irises changed to a brilliant blue. Tom, Star, and Janna look at them as they rise up from their lying down position.

Star calls out cautiously, "Marco, Jackie." Tom and Star take a step toward them. Jackie and Marco sit up and move to the edge, holding on as they look out in the distance and see the Dark Lizard Ark appearing through the clouds.

Jackie and Marco mutter darkly, "Toffee." The wind is blowing their hair back.

Cliff / Field

Janna, Tom, who is holding up Jackie by the waist with Jackie's right arm around Tom's shoulders, and Star is holding Marco up by the waist, his left arm around her shoulders. They all walk toward the edge of a cliff.

Tom and Star put Jackie and Marco down, and they all kneel down, watching as Toffee and the Dark Lizards exit the Ark on the plains below. Janna narrows her eyes as she watches Kurse/Rasticore and Toffee stride across the sand.

Star looks to her companions, "All right. Are you ready?" Jackie, Marco, and Tom nod.

Janna says out loud, "I am." The four look at her, her expression void. Star, Tom, and Janna stand up and step forward toward the edge, away from Jackie and Marco, to speak privately.

Toffee sees them standing on the cliff edge.

Janna tells Star as Tom stands in the middle of the sisters, "You know, this plan of yours is going to get us killed."

Star honestly agrees but not backing down nor giving up faith that they will come out alive, "Yes, possibly."

Janna holds up her cuffed wrists to Star. Star looks down at the cuffs and hesitates. Janna notices, "You still don't trust me, sister?"

Star fires back, "Would you?" Star releases Janna from her handcuffs with one hand.

Janna rubbed her hands and looked back to the field, "No, I wouldn't." Janna takes out the dagger that she hid from Star and Tom, she stabs Star in the gut with her dagger, making Star grunt in pain, and Janna flings her down the hill, Star letting go of her wand along the way.

Tom shouts in surprise, "Star!" Janna then stabs Tom in the chest, making him gasp in surprise and pain. Janna carelessly pushes Tom to the side before jumping down the cliff to follow Star.

Marco shouts, "No!" He and Jackie, shocked, go towards the edge to look down to see Star rolling down the hill.

Toffee watches, and he walks toward them.

Jackie looks back at Tom and runs to him, kneeling down to check his pulse on his neck. Jackie gasps in surprise. Marco looks at Jackie questionably after hearing the gasp. Jackie looks at her friend and tells him, "Marco, he's dead." Marco gasps in surprise, "Tom's dead."

Marco takes a second before gesturing down the hill, "Come on."

Jackie protests, "But-"

Marco tells Jackie loudly, "You just said that he's dead. There's nothing that we can do now, okay? Star's in trouble." Jackie nods and reluctantly leaves Tom's lifeless body. She grabs Marco's hand, and they both carefully run down the hill toward the sisters.

Janna questions as she marches over to Star, who rolls to a stop, "Do you really think I cared about River? About Tom? About any of you?" She marches up and kicks Star in the face, making her roll in the air and hit the ground hard. Janna continues to say as Toffee continues to walk over to them while Jackie and Marco run towards them from the other direction, "All I ever wanted was you and Moon,-" Star leans up, looking around, "-dead at my feet!"

Star reaches out her hand to summon her wand. Janna grabs her outstretched wrist and cuts off Star's hand with her dagger. Star screams out in pain, and the wand flies past and lands behind them. Star cradles her wounded wrist as she rolls on her back, moaning in pain. Jackie and Marco arrive, dropping to their knees. Marco cups Star's face.

Janna, breathing heavily, roughly grabs Jackie and Marco by the waist, making them gasp and grunt in surprise, holding them in her grasp as she faces Toffee, who walks closer to them, "Toffee!" Toffee stops walking a good distance from them. Janna looking at Toffee, whose face is half black from when Star hit him with her lightning (From Chapter 9), "I am Janna of Jotunheim, and I bring you a gift!" She throws/pushes Jackie and Marco to Toffee's feet. Both of them look up at Toffee with fear in their eyes. Toffee, not flinching, looks at Janna, who continues, "I ask only one thing in return. A good seat from which to watch Mewni burn."

Kurse/Rasticore says to Toffee, "She is an enemy of Mewni." Toffee turns his head a bit to listen to his longtime friend, "She was a prisoner in their dungeons."

Toffee and Janna circle each other a bit as Toffee walks over to Star, who is still cradling her wounded wrist.
