Chapter 11: Revelations

Kitten sat in her pink lawn chair, tapping her full glass of ice tea impatiently. Pulling down her sunglasses, she glanced around her lush front lawn where she was currently sunbathing, and glared at a black car coming into her large driveway.

The blonde quickly scrambled out of her chair in a hurry to greet the newcomer as the tall, ebony haired girl exited out the vehicle.

"What took you so long?!" Kitten squealed as she crossed her arms. The ebony haired girl simply slammed the door and glared at the younger female.

"Look, I didn't have to come here so I'd suggest you change the tone brat." She growled.

"Watch it Anders, I'm the one paying you." Kitten spat.

"And I'm the one who's giving you the juicy gossip." The black haired female cooly responded. Kitten seethed a bit before smiling. This girl was just her style.

"Okay, let's head inside so you can tell me already." Kitten decided. The two girls walked inside the large wealthy home as they headed straight towards the decorated doorway marked as Kittens bedroom.

Closing the door, Kitten jumped on top of her pink bed while the new comer sat on a thick computer chair in the corner. Kitten turned to the girl and grinned an evil smile, before she pulled out a crisp hundred dollar bill from her dresser and handed it to the other girl.

"Alright Komi, tell me what you know about Kori's little group of friends." Kitten purred. Komi placed the money in her pocket before glancing at her companion with a smirk.

"Well, I was at the bus stop with my sister dear when one of her friends; Jade came to the spot. She started freaking out on them and then she blurted out she was pregnant with Roy Harper's kid." Komi announced making Kitten resemble a fish out of water. Jade was pregnant?! Oh, this gossip was too good!

Smiling, Kitten said, "That's just what I needed to take down their little group. I'll start with Jade, then take them all down, one by one."

"Whatever. I don't care what you do, just make my dear sister go through hell." Komi said casually picking at her nails.

"You don't even have to ask. I need to call Mandy, Britney, and Angel. Tell them to spread the news." Kitten stated picking up her phone. The blonde dialed the designated numbers and began to spread the news as more and more people became aware of Jade's situation.

Kitten grinned as she began to inform the world of Jade's secret. Being Kitten Moth meant that she had connections. In connections, I'm meaning she had almost every single students phone number. Kitten was positive that what she was about to do was perfectly fine. After all, nobody messed with Kitten, and Kori's little group of friends had done it too many times. To Kitten, she was just returning the favor. After all, it was just a big secret? No big deal, right?

That's why, when Kitten finished posting the news on every online social media sight, and sent a mass text message she had no regrets. All was fair in the game of war, and just like that, the war had begun.

...

Jade sat comfortably on Roy's lap at the moment. It was warm, comforting, and to her opinion, far better then the couch. The red head leaned more into the plush red seat as Connor and Garth walked in from the kitchen.

"Did you guys make me a sandwich too?" Roy called to the two males in question.

Garth gulped the large bite of ham and cheese and nervously chuckled. Connor on the other hand, simply shook his head and took another bite.

Groaning, Roy yelled," Well, why not?"

"Relax Carrot top, I made you a PB and J." Artemis said as she tossed a wrapped sandwich towards the hungry boy.

"Thanks." Roy responded taking a bite. Artemis shrugged and walked to the black recliner in the corner where she slouched into the thick seat. Connor and Garth slumped into the ground as they began to pull out their homework and begin the group study.

Awkwardly, Roy removed his sleepy girlfriend off of him and joined the other two males on the ground as Jade quickly joined her sister in sharing a seat.

"What's wrong with you, why are you so huggish?" Artemis questioned trying to peel the embracing Jade off of her.

"I'm just huggy today. Deal with it." Jade said clutching Artemis tighter. The younger sibling tried to squeeze out, but to no avail. She groaned and felt herself get squashed further more into the couch by Jade making her huff.

"Ugh, I thought Kori was supposed to be the huggy one?" Artemis stated with a groan. Garth snorted from his spot on the ground.

"Oh, don't worry she is. Right at the moment though... I wouldn't think so." Garth trailed off.

"Why, what happened?" Artemis asked.

"Didn't Wally send you a text message?" Roy inquired making Artemis snort.

"You mean about the lullaby he made up for Kitten?" Artemis asked amused. All three boys rose their eyebrows.

"A, what?" Connor questioned. Artemis groaned and pulled out her phone and scrolled over to her text messages where she clicked on Wally's.

"Are you saying that none of you got that stupid song Wally made up for Kitten? That little lullaby he said that he made just for Kitten?" Artemis asked making the boys shake their heads.

"Read it!" Garth called.

"I'd rather not." Artemis said with an awkward tone.

"Do it! Do it! Do it!"

"Alright fine! If it'll shut you up!" Artemis hissed making the chanting boys go silent.

"Okay, it says that this song is dedicated to Kitten." Artemis began repeating Wally's words.

"Twinkle, twinkle little whore, close your legs, you're not a door. You're gonna catch an STD, you're only wanted cause you're free...Twinkle, twinkle little whore, you're cheaper then the dollar store."

All three boys and Jade erupted into fits of laughter after the song while Artemis flushed a brilliant red. Clearing her throat to silent her comrades, Artemis coughed.

"Um, okay, so what happened to Kori?" Artemis asked hoping to return to the subject.

"Ask Connor, he was there." Roy laughed wiping a tear away. Connor quickly began to cover up his chuckling when he saw the glare from Artemis and amazingly turned the wide grin on his mouth into a straight face.

"Well, Dick was being rather obnoxious and a playboy again. Kori had enough so when she went down to talk to him, they broke out into an argument and it ended with Kori saying she was tired of him." Connor told the group who had now silenced. Jade sighed.

"Damn that idiot." Jade growled. "Why can't he just admit that he likes Kori?"

"I don't know, but it's a mystery to all." Artemis declared.

"Mmhmm." Garth agreed. "You think they'll make up?"

"I don't know, but if anyone's gonna apologize, it better be Dick." Jade stated.

"Ain't that the truth." Connor responded before taking another bite of his sandwich.

"So why isn't Wally here?" Artemis asked after a moment of silence.

"Why? Do you like him or something?" Roy teased before a pillow was thrown at him.

"No! He's too annoying to like." Artemis grumbled despise her blushing face.

"You like Wally! Oh my god! You like Wally!" Jade exclaimed jumping from the couch.

"I do not like Wally! " Artemis yelled.

"Sure you don't. I bet if he was here, you'd be redder then Kori's hair." Jade mocked making Artemis go red in the face. Leaping from the couch, Artemis began to chase the running Jade into the hallway, leaving Connor, Garth and Roy alone.

"So... Do any of you know where the Wall-mans at?" Garth questioned after the yelling of the females in the back room died down a bit.

"I don't know, but maybe we should text him. Tell them there's free food at Jade's house." Roy suggested pulling out his phone. After all the guys texted their fellow red headed friend, no response was followed making them confused.

"Any of you guys got a reply yet?" Connor asked earning two head shakes.

"I wonder where Wally could be?"

...

"Jenn, what are you doing?"

Jenn gulped and backed up from the questioning redhead until she felt herself being pressed against a wall. Turning, she silently cursed herself when she saw she was cornered.

"Jenn." Wally repeated, his tone louder and more concerned.

Wally approached the crouching girl and kneeled down to her level where her pink cat like eyes locked on his own blue ones.

"Jenn, what the hell is this?" Wally asked picking up the discarded needle beside her. She felt her eyes water a bit when his own eyes widened in realization.

"Are these drugs?"

"Well..." Jenn trailed off unable to look at Wally in the eye.

"Don't lie to me. " Wally growled. Wally hated drugs and the use of them. All that ever came out of drugs was harm, and seeing this made his blood boil.

"Yes. I-it's heroin." Jenn stuttered. Hearing Wally's sharp gasp made the pink haired girl hold back a sob. By now, tears were already escaping her eyes as this made Wally frown.

"Why Jenn?" Wally whispered sitting beside the girl. She wiped away a few tears and looked at the scarlet haired boy sitting next to her.

"I'm so depressed Wally. I don't know who my real dad is, my mom is struggling to pay the bills, I'm so stressed. I- I just can't handle it!" Jenn cried hugging Wally. Wally surprised by the contact, wrapped a hand around her and made soothing whispers to calm down the convulsing girl.

"Shh... It's okay Jenn. " Wally cooed. Jenn pushed back from the red head and lifted up her sleeve to expose cuts and scratches on her wrist. Wally's blue eyes widened in horror at the sight.

"I've been cutting myself since the fucking semester began. It helps me cope when I'm out of heroin. Nobody knows since I cover it up with makeup. It just gives me a sense of control and helps me know that I'm living. That I can feel, even if it's pain." Jenn whispered. Wally delicately touched the fresh scars making Jenn wince. He too, was crying, but only because Jenn was so hurt.

"Jenn, you need help." Wally said earning a cry from Jenn. She felt Wally embrace her and sniffed a few tears away. Looking at herself and where she was, she let another sob escape her. She did need help.

"Okay..."

...

"Rachel..." Gar trailed off looking at her in shock.

Rachel whipped her head towards the door where a gasp escaped her lips. Oh shit.

"Gar! What are you doing here?" Rachel asked, anger in her tone. Gar glared at her and crossed his arms in defiance.

"Better question to ask Rachel. What are you doing here?" Gar questioned with a sneer. This girl was about to explain, wether she liked it or not.

"I don't need to tell you nothing." Rachel spat staring at him now.

Gar scoffed,"Really now? Cause it seems you have a lot to explain to me. Like what's that?"

Rachel glanced down to see him pointing at the makeup kit on the floor next to the mirror. Rachel groaned as Gar cleared his throat signaling he was still waiting for answers.

"What does it look like to you?" Rachel growled. Gar snorted.

"It looks like makeup to me, and I know you well enough, to know you don't wear makeup. What's going on?"

"Nothing you need to concern yourself with. Now leave." Rachel commanded.

"No."

"Excuse me, what?" Rachel asked turning to the defiant boy.

"I said no. I'm not leaving here until I get answers." Gar declared. Rachel glared at him hoping he'd get the hint to leave, but he simply sat down on the ground signaling he was going nowhere.

"I've got all night!" Gar yelled making Rachel groan. Gar was lots of things, but being stubborn was a big one.

"Fine. What do you want to know?" Rachel inquired sitting across from him. He tapped the floor hoping she'd understand.

"Let's start with this place. Why are you here?" Gar asked. Rachel rolled her eyes hating his persistent attitude. Well, at least in this moment.

"I live here." She droned.

"You live here?! What happened to your old house? Where's your parents? Do they know you're here?" Gar rambled on.

"My parents are done. My mom left my dad about a month ago and my dad doesn't know I'm here. No one does..." Rachel echoed softly.

"Why doesn't he know Rachel?" Gar asked after a bit of silence. This was all a lot to take in. After she didn't reply, he had known that he hit a soft spot.

"Rachel." Gar called. Rachel looked at him to see his forest green eyes wide and full of concern.

"Why doesn't your dad know your here?"

"Because, because I don't want him to find me." She whispered.

"Why not? Did he hurt you?" Gar growled making Rachel go silent. This made Gar uneasy.

"Did he hurt you?" Gar repeated. She numbly nodded her head making Gar seethe.

"Where did he hurt you?" Gar hissed. Rachel, surprised by his anger lifted her sleeve to reveal a large bruise. Gars eyes widened at the sight as he carefully crouched low and touched it gently. Rachel winced at the contact making Gar retreat his hand as if it had just touched a hot stove.

"You okay?" Gar asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Rachel waved off. Gar looked at the makeup, finally understanding the purpose and knowing why Rachel was here. Standing up quickly, Gar grabbed his car keys and slammed open the door in rage.

"Gar, what are you doing?" Rachel called quickly standing up. Gar didn't even a spare glance when he responded.

"Nothing, just gonna have a little talk with your dad, that's all."
