CHAPTER 10

Hey guys! Sorry for the late update! Anyways, here's the 10th chapter.

Lara waited for Dan to come back; it was three hours since he had gone out. Even though she was not worried, she felt uneasy. Whatever happened between Dan and Runo in the café was not something that she could let go.

"Drago will you do me a favor?"

"Anything you want."

"Can you tell me the truth?"

Drago hesitated, should he tell her? "Are you sure you want to hear this?"

Lara nodded, "Positive, whatever it is I want to know. Let's face it Drago, Dan has never loved me. At least not the way I have. Its better you tell me the truth, then we can work together to bring his memories back."

Drago was taken aback by her reply, "Well then," he said, "it all started when Dan was 12…"

MEANWHILE

Runo sat with her head buried in her hands; Alice tried to comfort her, while Shun stood at the door awkwardly.

"Runo are you okay?" Alice asked her, she knew it was a stupid question but she couldn't help it.

Runo nodded, "How did Dan know I was lying?"

"Drago said he was having some flashbacks about you, maybe that's the reason."

Runo shook her head, "It might be, but the way Dan behaved…it was as if he was so helpless to find out the truth, he could do anything for it."

"Maybe we should tell Drago to take him meet Mr. and Mrs. Kuso, maybe that might calm him down a bit." Alice suggested.

"No, even if he met them how would it help? It would make them feel more helpless."

"Well maybe we could help." Drago's voice called from behind, he and Lara were standing in at the door.

"What are you doing here?" Runo asked him, sounding angry.

"Runo, it's nice to see you too." Drago said, "I am glad I didn't get a warmer welcome."

This made Runo calm down a little bit, she smiled at him, "What is it Drago?"

However this time Lara spoke up, "I wanted to meet you all." she said, "Drago told me the whole story and I wanted to see how you guys were."

"Well then, I'm Runo." Runo said introducing herself with a smile.

"I know." Lara said, "You really do have a temper."

Runo frowned, "Who told you that?"

"Drago," Lara said "he said you had a very short temper."

"I DON'T HAVE A SHORT TEMPER DRAGO!" Runo yelled at him.

Lara giggled at this, Runo was exactly as she had imagined.

"What's funny in that?" Runo asked, still angry.

"Now I understand." Lara said quietly, hoping no one would hear her as Runo, Dan and Alice were already deep into conversation.

"Understand what?" Shun asked her.

Lara almost jumped, completely unaware of Shun, "You scared me."

Shun smiled at her apologetically, "Now what was it that you understand?"

Lara sighed, "Now I understand, now that I see her, that why Dan loved runo."

SIMULTANEOUSLY

Dan walked on the streets aimlessly, trying to remember something more, but it only resulted in a never-ending headache.

Just as he was about to go back to the hotel he stopped, on his left side was a house with his family name on it – Kuso.

He walked towards it, this was my house, he thought. He didn't know how but he was sure of it.

He rang the bell with almost trembling hands.

"Who's it?" A lady called as she opened the door with a smile. As soon as the door opened Dan faced a woman, who had the same color hair as his, and somehow he managed to say one word as she stood in front, staring. "Mom"

How was it? Ok? I know it wasn't that good cause I wrote it in a hurry! And for all my lovely readers I plan to end the story after some chapters. And after that I'll be (most probably) writing a Shun X Alice and then another Dan X Runo. So look out for those.
