Hey I'm back. I did fine with my final terms so I hope the scores will turn out well.
My phone... it broke, the storage is unusable now so I can't write stories there.
So this chapter is written on laptop so it is kinda short and ... worse than the previous one? I don't know I think I wrote better on phone.
In this chapter there will be an ORIGINAL CHARACTER. I always want to put my own character in, so I hope ya like her.
And thank you Dr. Archangel for helping me edit. You guys should check out his stories as well.
Enjoy, this chapter is a little bit shorter than the previous ones... also because of the phone problem.
"Heichou." – Petra called in with a light smile.
"I'm leaving you two alone." – Mikasa waved at Petra, and then left.
"Why are you here? It's dangerous." – Levi grunted at her.
"I want to help."
"Well there isn't anything here you can help with."
"Are you trying to piss me off so I'll leave here? So you can protect me?" – She seemed to understand him perfectly.
"Petra." – He sighed, this woman understood him too much "Listen to me. You need to leave. We have encountered a very dangerous man. I can't let you stay here."
"Who?"
"Do you know… Throatslasher Kaney?"
"The … serial killer?" – She looked at him eyes wide opened "I thought… it was just a legend."
"No…he is real. I lived with him."
"Levi…you're…joking, right?"
"This is not a thing to be joked about. He is real. And he had captured Eren and Historia."
"So…what you're gonna do?"
"I don't know."
"… How about cooling your head down?" – She smiled "I'll make your favorite tea."
"…fine."
In times like this, he thanked God that she was still with him.
Jean walked through the street, seeing Levi's drawing (a terrible drawing) with the WARNING word next to it. People on street whispering on the street really pissed him off. Good thing they didn't draw the rest of the squad yet. He wouldn't want to be drawn like a horse, they should hire another artist for these warning signs.
He came back to his squad, now hiding, and gave one of the warning paper to Armin.
"I've never thought my life would turn out like this." – Jean sighed "I'm starting to doubt all of this."
"What are you doubting?" – Mikasa spoke up "We got information from the spies. Putting two coffins into a funeral so suddenly is obviously fishy."
"Mikasa's right. If we could control Reiss, we might be able to find out how they even built these walls in the first place." – Armin said "Maybe we could find out Eren's hardening ability as well."
"Yes yes I know everything is going well so far but…. I wouldn't want to kill humans, even if it's an order." – Jean looked at Connie, thinking he would agree.
"Same here." – Connie said "Captain Levi is going to force us to do things like that. Like how he used force on Historia."
"I don't agree with his ways either. He didn't use force to Reebs. He may try to control Historia even if she became queen." – Sasha joined the topic.
"Are you saying you're having second thoughts?" – Mikasa spoke in a cold voice "In times like this?"
"I don't want to join any groups that act violently like this. Back then I chose this path because I wanted to save humanity." - Jean quickly responded.
"So what we are doing now is NOT to save humanity?" – She looked at him "You think you know better than he does? If you do, stop. Because what you can do now is to trust his decisions. This path has never been easy in the first place. Can you think of another way that does NOT use violence?"
The whole group stayed silence. Mikasa had a point. But still, they had their own opinions as well. They averted their sight, looking at the ground. She had no time for their doubts. Eren was in a coffin right now for god's sake and Reiss wanted to eat him (as she heard from Hanji). They had already come this far, giving up would be stupid.
"Fine. How about this? Everyone, make a choice, right here, right now."
In the crowded street, waiting not so far from the funeral house, was a lady dressed in black. She watched as the coffins were transferred into the house.
Looking up, she could see two shadows on the roof. They must be from the Scouting Legion, she thought. She could see "Throatslasher Kaney" with 3dmg – well didn't look exactly like 3dmg though – waiting for his prey.
"…the scouting legion is so dead." – She murmured.
As she guessed, in the next moment, she saw blood in the air, and woman's screams.
"…one…two…three down. Well…I'd better save the last one."
She started to move as soon as she heard a shout "KANEY". Somebody recognized the serial killer? Who was it? Now she wanted to save that person even more.
"Damn it you're no match for Kaney!" – She thought "Nobody is!"
She took a gun out from inside her coat, and shot to the sky. A loud noise was made.
Everybody was surprised and tried to find out who shot it. The people that moved the coffins suddenly stood still.
"There is still one alive?" – Kaney sounded annoyed, he left out one rat from the scouting legion?
"…Who is it?" – Levi thought, because all his allies in this mission had already been killed.
The lady grinned at how her gun took a great effect. She took out her shotgun, closed one eye and started to aim. First few shots were to the people holding the coffins.
"FIND THAT SHOOTER!" – One man that was shot yelled.
"Oops." – She wasn't scared at all. She ran to the small alley and climbed to rooftop. The roof was in the triangle shape, so she could hide herself behind the peak, then continued her "shooting game."
She aimed for Kaney now. But fuck that man wore 3dmg all over his back, where could she shoot now. Still, Kaney has fully focused on that shorty, so she might have a chance.
"Here goes nothing." – She said as shoot Kaney's hand, making him drop his gun.
"I don't have time to deal with rats!" – Kaney shouted after being shot.
Levi took the opportunity and slashed his sword against Kaney.
"Oh my boy has grown up, hasn't he?"
"I'm not "your" boy!" – Levi shouted.
"I raised you up. That's how you even thought of this plan. And that's how I could figure out your plan so easily as well."
"I'm not going to leave without Eren and Historia."
"Well you're not leaving here alive anyway."
"Why do you even work for Reiss?!"
"That, is where you are wrong, Levi. I don't work for anyone. I'm just using people."
"What benefit will you get?"
"Why should I tell a soon-to-be-dead?"
Their conversation, once again, was interrupted by another gun shot at Kaney's right hand. Soon followed by another one at his left hand, making him drop his guns.
"I'm gonna kill you and that shooter rat next."
"I'm not getting killed that easily."
"We'll see."
"This is getting interesting." – The lady looked at the two guys, until she heard some noises from the ground. She'd better move before they found her. But leaving like this would be boring. She grinned then looked back to the carriage, which was now moving.
That man from the scouting legion was stuck here now, if the carriage continued going, he would not find out the destination, she thought.
"Sorry." – She said and shot two of the horse's legs. The carriage stopped.
So... I hope you like the new girl. I want to make my own mark in this fanfiction, not just following the original series.
By the way, who do you think will win, Levi or Kaney?
I felt sorry for Hanji's squad...Nifa was still so cheerful a few minutes before her death.
Also I really hope Levi's squad made a good decision. Seriously there is no turn back now, they should not doubt the path they chose.
I always feel Mikasa is the most mature one, Armin followed as the second. Probably because their parents were killed by HUMAN, not titans, so they understand more than Jean, Sasha and Connie. If those two knew Mikasa and Armin's back stories, they might not doubt anymore.
