"Mira!" Natsu barged into the guild people looking at him from left to right some sweat dropping as he stomped over towards her.
"Yes Natsu?" Mira questioned not even bothering to look at him as she cleaned the wooden tankards placing them back into the rightful spot.
"Lucy is sick, and I don't know what's wrong! One minute she is throwing up and the next she is burning up like a furn-'' Natsu started rambling on.
"Natsu calm down… it's just Lucy's sym-'' Gray started talking but Cana quickly bonked him on the end with the end of her large barrel. Mira smiled at Natsu 'innocently' but Natsu being Natsu he didn't catch on to anything.
"Lucy will be fine… just give her this and her fever should calm down within a day about the throwing up well… I can't really do anything about that it's natural". Mira explained giving Natsu a small medicine package and a container containing chicken soup.
"Thanks Mira! I wouldn't know what to do without you!" Natsu hurried back out of the guild hall and raced back towards Lucy's small apartment.
Sighing rather loudly Lucy slowly got up as soon as Natsu booked it out of the front door; it swung back shut loudly the wall and windows rattled for a few minor seconds. Making her way towards her bathroom her bare feet padded along the wooden floor wincing slightly as her feet touched the cold tiled floor of the vacant bathroom.
Standing in front of the mirror she stared at her reflection it staring intently back at her. Cocking her head to the side she slowly moved her hand towards the hem of Natsu's shirt that currently adorned her figure, her reflection mimicking back every single action perfectly almost as if it was taunting her to continue.
Her fingers made contact with the soft sensitive skin of her stomach brushing back and forth as she slowly ever so slightly lifted the shirt up centimeters at a time. Her frail fingers that have held a large amount of celestial keys already touched her belly button quietly laughing at the tickling sensation, but it slowly ended when she placed her hand flat against her stomach. Staring at it keenly, she held her hand there softly scared to disturb what was growing inside.
As she searched for any sign of the new life that was completely dependent on her health and heartbeat holding her breath the few seconds that passed felt like minutes she exhaled loudly as she felt it squirm against her hand the small barely visible bump moving ever so slightly in a tiny wave motion confused as to why the women it was inside of wasn't breathing cutting off the baby's oxygen supply.
Smiling softly at the curved bump that her hand rested on Lucy felt blessed and content that she herself was able to hold something so precious inside of her, to have the feeling that someone's life was completely and entirely depended on her. Everything she would intake the baby would also consume, the air she breathed was shared with the small being. To have the feeling to bring life into the world was the most incredible feeling Lucy had ever felt in her heart smiling proudly to the day she found out.
"Mira!" Lucy walked over to the table that was both occupied by Mira and Lisanna.
"Lucy! I've been meaning to talk to you! I've got news!" Mira exclaimed excitedly. "Gray and Juvia are actually on a date right now!"
"They're both going to the water park so the rest of the guild will go there as well!" Lisanna finished Mira's little giddy speech.
"It's about damn time that Gray and Juvia get together… Juvia has always wished for this day. Hopefully Gray doesn't mess it up" Lucy exclaimed completely forgetting about the issue she was coming to speak to Mirajane about.
"Oh Mira… before I forget… I need to talk to you" Lucy quietly whispered her voice barely audible.
"Sure thing what is it that you wanted to talk about?" Mira asked softly curiosity etched in her voice as Lucy's tone peeked her interest and Lisanna's.
"Well…" Lucy started her sentence looking warily as she played with the hem of her favorite blue skirt. "I'm late…" Lucy finished letting out the breath she didn't know she was holding.
"Oh dear… does Natsu know about this?" Mira asked as she looked at Lisanna both of their faces in the midst of being both shocked and happy.
"No that's the thing… I don't know how to tell him. He is well… he's Natsu; I'm scared that he'll walk away because Natsu is too childish sometimes, Natsu is just Natsu… what if he doesn't even want us to have a kid?" Lucy breathed harshly between every few words that escaped her quivering lips, her eyes growing glossy as they slowly filled with moisture from the threatening tears.
"No Lucy… Natsu is not like that. He doesn't know his parents the only person he knew growing up was Igneel and to him Igneel was a fatherly figure. I don't believe Natsu would do that to his own kid, hell he wouldn't drag you threw the hell of raising a kid by yourself". Mira started explaining her voice level and filled with confidence.
"That the thing though… he knows I won't be alone, I have the entire guild to turn to for help except for him then…" Lucy started her voice growing shaky.
"But Lucy… if Natsu ever did that he wouldn't be Natsu, he would be an entirely different person. He's better than that… why do you think so low of him?" Lisanna explained exactly what Mira wanted to say.
"It's not that I think so low of him… I guess I'm just scared… terrified for what could happen". Lucy explained her fear of Natsu leaving.
"Well if he does then there is nothing else we could do except he will feel the wrath of Erza upon him". Mira explained bluntly with a soft smile on her face as she watched Erza eat her strawberry cake Jellal sitting beside her, turning her head back to Lucy her eyes caught on a certain dragonslayer that just seemed to know everything that we just talked about. Mira slowly shook her head from side to side lifting her finger up towards her lips to indicate him to keep quiet until she was ready.
Gajeel nodded slowly turning his attention back to Levy who was ever so quietly doing the usual thing Levy did read a book. Before looking intently again at his girlfriend Gajeel smirked and the few quietly whispered words left his lips "guess that stupid mighty flame brain got his girl impregnated".
Lucy's thoughts switched back to the time that 'Lisanna' took her away from everything she loved tormenting her even though she knew exactly she was soon going to conceive a child. Mira and Lisanna the only people who knew anything about it, Lisanna being one of her close friends betrayed her the very same day she told her and her older sister everything.
A tear fell down her face as she looked back into her reflection; her eyes grew wide as her eyes met the ones of her best friend standing behind her.
"Le-Levy?" Lucy stuttered as Levy walked closer to her.
"Lucy… that thing inside of you has to go… it will create nothing but disaster." Levy now standing a few feet away from her.
"What are you talking about?" Lucy played the clueless card.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about… I don't want to hurt you Luce…you're my best friend. But this is not for me at all… me from the future showed up… and its nothing but disaster because of that" Levy pointed at Lucy's tiny protruding stomach. "That thing has to be destroyed and if you're not going to do it… I will" Levy continued walking closer summoning her word magic and knocking out Lucy. Her world went black as soon as her head hit the corner of the bathroom counter.
