New update. Quick reminder that I updated chapter 22 and 23 at the same time (I'm afraid there will be people missed chapter 22)

Thank you for your kind reviews. It's really hard trying to make my own storyline and OCs. I hope I didn't suck so badly.
"So, you would be staying here for now. There are guards at the door and Mikasa. Don't even think about running away. It's not possible."
The redhead smiled evilly at him before whispering something to Mikasa. Mikasa nodded and Valeria left, leaving Mikasa alone with Eren.
"I can't believe you are rotten like this, Mikasa." - The brown-haired boy spoke up.
"You are not in my shoes. You don't understand."
"There is no excuse for betrayal."
"I'm a kid raised by a former thug. There is always an excuse."
"Like an Ackerman, huh?"
"Probably. Do you hate me now?"
"I wish I could."
"Then..."
She cupped his face and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. He didn't kiss her back, instead he just stared at her. She seemed not surprised by his reaction at all.
"Whatever I do, it doesn't change how I feel about you." - She whispered before walking towards a chair far away and sat down, not looked at him even once after that.
"Historia, what happened after we last met?" - Reiss sat down in front of her and asked.
"Not like you really care, why you even asked."
"I do. I'm not a heartless monster."
"Then you should have not left my mom and me in the first place! You are the one that denied our relations! You stood there and did NOTHING!"
"I can't die, you must understand that."
"I don't care about your lame excuses."
"Historia, please forgive me." - He reached out his hand to her.
To his surprise, she bit his hand, as hard as she could.
"Arghhh!" - Reiss shouted.
Valeria was standing in the hall, talking with some guards nearby Eren's room.
Suddenly they heard a loud scream coming from Historia's room.
"Reiss?" - Valeria gasped.
Before she could say anything, the guards already ran towards Reiss' location.
Kaney was walking when he was bumped by running guards.
"What the hell are you doing?" - He asked.
"There was a scream from Reiss." - A guard answered.
"There are guards for that room. Aren't you all supposed to guard Eren?"
"But-"
"Damn it!" - Kaney abruptly shouted "It's a trick. Come back to Eren's room, now."
Kaney led the guards back to Eren. He then found the door unlocked. He looked up and saw Valeria's figure turning to the left hall, running fast.
Assuming she was chasing Eren, Kaney followed her.
"Fuck it." - Valeria breathed heavily, stopping at the East Gate.
"Valeria! Where is he?!" - Kaney caught up.
"He-he went that way." - She pointed ahead, still trying to breathe.
"Catch him!" - Kaney ordered as the guards running towards the East Gate. He stayed back and yelled at her "Damn it why did you let him escape?!"
"Shut up! I threw my heels away running after him. I'm a lady, I don't run miles like this usually!"
"Why was the door even unlocked?"
"There was a loud noise in the room. I opened it and found Mikasa collapsed on the floor. He hit me and ran out. Damn my ankles are all swollen."
"Mikasa collapsed?"
"Shit! I almost forgot! She got her head hit the wall. There was blood. I'm going back!"
She tried to walk back, slowly and painfully, while Kaney left to chase after Eren.
Eren escaped safely, surprised that nobody was chasing after him.
"Eren!"
He heard a sound behind the gate. It was Armin.
The gate guards seemed to have been knocked out.
"Why are you-?" - Eren wanted to ask but Armin cut in.
"Worry about that later. Let's leave!"
Armin pulled Eren to a small alley. They climbed through a low wall and got to a barn.
There were Levi, Petra and the rest of the squad.
"We took out the guards of both East and West gates. Then they left to not cause attention from the citizens, only I stayed behind and picked you up." - Armin explained.
"Good, you're safe." - Levi said "This barn is secure. The owner is a friend. I'll go talk to him now, so you all stay still here, ok?"
The midget left, and Petra followed, appearing to carry a small first-aid bag.
Eren noticed the scar on Levi's face and wondered what had happened.
"I guess I got lots to catch up huh." - Eren sat down with his friends "How did you guys even know I will escape today? The exact time as well?"
"We don't know actually." - Sasha said.
"What?!"
"Levi just told us to come here and beat the guards and wait for you."
"That's impossible."
"It's true, Jaeger." - Jean spoke up "We were not given any details."
"So you don't know about Mikasa, huh?" - Eren then explained all of his story back at Reiss' place.
"So that letter..." - Connie thought back of the envelope Levi gave Mikasa "Well, there was something strange back then."
"Strange? Back when?" - Eren asked.
"I mean Levi just gave the letter to Mikasa and didn't ask for the content at all. When Mikasa disappeared, he was pretty calm as well." - Connie explained.
"How did you escape anyway? You mentioned she was guarding you?" - Jean questioned.
"When Reiss screamed, that Valeria woman opened the door. I ran out. That's all."
"So both of them didn't do anything?"
"No. I guess they were shocked, perhaps? I then ran straight to the West Gate before the guards came back."
"That was weird. Well how do we save Historia now?" - Sasha started worrying for the blonde "What if they blamed her for your escape and...torture her?"
"Reiss wouldn't let them, I guess. And Valeria loves kids, so she won't allow them for sure."
"That woman is mysterious." - Jean said "According to your story, it was her that gave you the idea for your escaping plan."
"No she didn't. She was mocking us, then Historia came up with the plan with it."
"She is a wicked woman. I heard rumors about her. She got quite a reputation here." - Armin commented "No way she would help us."
"I guess you right." - Connie agreed "Still, all we can do now is to wait for Levi's orders."
"Yeah."
"Lucky the injury wasn't bigger, or else she could lose her life."
As the doctor explained Mikasa's situation, Valeria was sitting next to the bed, while Kaney stood against the wall.
"Thanks god..." - Valeria murmured.
"Mikasa what happened?" - Kaney asked.
"We heard a loud scream, so I looked at the door. He suddenly pushed me aside, then escaped when Valeria opened the door." - The black-haired girl explained.
"So the loud noise I heard was you bumping to the wall?" - Valeria said.
"I think so." - Mikasa answered "Kaney, could it be..."
"A plan? Yes. Seems like those two aren't just stupid brats."
"Miss Valeria, now about you ankles. They are swollen, so it's best for you to restrain from walking too much." - The doctor cut in "For this girl's head injury, it should heal if she eats well and drinks medicine."
"Thank you, doctor." - Valeria took a bag from him.
"I'll take my leave." - The man bowed and left the room.
"Rest, Mikasa." - Valeria stood up and walked out, Kaney followed.
"So, what are we going to do now?" - The redhead crossed her arms in annoyance.
"That blond girl wouldn't spill anything." - Kaney grunted.
"Strange that the guards from both gates were knocked down."
"Could he have helpers from outside?"
"Maybe. But how could they know the exact time he would escape?"
"We may have a spy."
"And who are you assuming?"
"Mikasa?"
"For god's sake, that girl almost DIED!"
"Then who else? You?"
"Seriously. Now you got no one to blame so you pinned the crime on ME?"
"Then miss smart-head, who?"
"I'm thinking it's one of the guards."
"Why?"
"They took the chance of the scream and left Eren's guarding duty RIGHT away. And when they followed Eren to the Gate, they failed to capture him. How hard it is for a dozen of guards to catch a 15-year-old kid?"
"Sounds convincing. They did act fishy when they bumped into me."
"Kaney, I am Reiss' mistress. I owe him my life. I know you hate me but I will never betray him."
"...I still hate you, but I'll believe you this time."
"We have the same aim. It would be a waste if we don't work together. We'll hunt down the Scouting Legion rats." - Valeria smirked and shook hands with Kaney for the first time, sealing the deal.
"So, you want to secretly move Reiss out of here?"
"Yes. Because Levi will aim at Reiss for sure."
"You really understand him, huh?"
"I taught him all of his tricks."
In the room, there were only the two of them. The plan was top secret that even Reiss wouldn't know.
"We can't pick a random person to ride the carriage." - Valeria said "Who do you choose?"
"Seth. He always listens to me and obeys my orders."
"One of the reasons is because he also hates me, right?" - She joked, rolling her eyes.
"Probably."
"When then? How about four days later. It's Tuesday."
"Three days later. Wednesday. We'll transfer him to his other mansion."
"Kaney if you distrust me like that, why even telling me this plan? You choose Seth because he hates me, pick a complete different day from my suggestion."
"I always have my guard up. Not just for you."
"Or you are the traitor and you are planning to take Reiss somewhere? Then pin the blame on me?!" - She stood up, slamming her palms to the surface of the table, glaring at him.
"Calm down! What the hell do I get if I take him?"
"I didn't think you were able to ask such a stupid question. You could benefit a lot from him, that's why you're even here in the first place. Money, power, army."
"You really stand up for him THAT much?"
"I told you, I owe him my life. If you want to harm him, I'll kill you."
She stared at him, looking amazingly angry. Her beautiful soft eyes now burned with anger as if they were shooting daggers at the one she was looking at.
"Fine. Sit down. I'll tell you the whole plan." - He sighed and took out a scroll from his bag.
"What's with the sudden change of mind?"
"I wouldn't want to piss off a woman. Especially you."
"Urghh you are so unreasonable." - Valeria growled but accepted to sit down.
Kaney opened up the scroll revealing a map with few red marks. He started to explain to her the plan. Where he would take Reiss to, what road would he use. Everything, or so it seemed.
"I doubt it will succeed." - Valeria commented.
"It's MY plan." - He stood up and took back the scroll "You are just playing a minor role." and left.
After he had left for a few minutes, she took out another map from her own bag.
She grabbed her red chalk and started to redraw everything she saw on Kaney's map.
She murmured something to herself after finishing.
I put a lot of brain and heart in this OC. Hopefully you like her (even though she's playing the villain).
I just got a new phone yesterday, yayyyy. So I hope the grammar checking is better and I can produce more chapters.
