"Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty."

Albert Runcorn Jr. did what he could. He tried to help. He tried to make things right.

His father was a Death Eater. Albert Runcorn Sr. had put more people in Azkaban then Albert Jr. cared to count. He tried to take the blame for the D.A's graffiti. He tried to shield the children from the Cruciatus curse.

When the castle became a place of horror and brutality, one fourteen year old Slytherin boy tried to save his classmates.

"The fathers shall not be put to death for the children; The children shall be put to death for the fathers."

His mother had been brave. She had faced down her muggle disease with courage, clutching her rosary all the while. "I'll see you soon, Albie." She'd whispered.

His father thought mother had been weak. "Weakness must be purged Albert."

That's why Albert Sr. joined the Death Eaters. He thought they were right. He thought they were strong.

Albert Jr. saw the frightened stares. He heard the whispers when he and his father walked though Diogon Alley. More than once he watched frightened mothers pull children out of their path. People hissed at him in the shops. Parents begged for information on their missing family members. His father loved it. Albert thought it was horrible.

If having power meant being hated and feared, Albert Jr. thought he might want to be weak after all.

"Visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation."

Albert Runcorn died on May 2nd 1998. Struck down by his father's associates. Murdered by a man whose children he had played with. Whose home he had visited.

But he wore Slytherin green. Those that found him initially placed him with the fallen enemy instead of the honored dead. Some of the D.A protested and he was moved. Then it was discovered that his father was a Death Eater. But his mother had been a muggleborn. Back and forth, back and forth.

He should be on the memorial.

He was scum!

His father was a Death Eater!

He never participated in any of their crimes!

He knew!

He was a child!

He was a teenager!

Innocent!

Guilty!

In the end, Neville makes the call.

He decided that no child should pay for the sins of his father.

Albert's name appears on the memorial.
