AN: Hello ladies and gents, hope you are doing well. It's almost my final season again and it's getting quite stressful around these times, especially with my father being unwell... he recently got a surgery. So I had to go help my family out while juggling university and my jobs. Hence, I honestly felt like I should relax by writing out a new chapter. Today's chapter will be in Elsa's point of view. I hope you enjoy them as always :) Thanks for always reading and waiting patiently for each update. You guys are an awesome bunch. Cheers!
She sat crouched with her ears pressed against the cold wood of the door as Elsa tried to hear whatever was being said on the other side. She could hear several voices chatting- the topic fell deaf onto her ears. She felt curious and waited impatiently for something to occur- and a roar of laughter erupted. About what? She had no clue once again. All the actress wanted to hear was the silent knocks on the door which would alarm that it was safe enough for her to join the large gathering.
Elsa sighed as she plummeted onto the ground. The actress wanted to know what the time was, however her cell phone unfortunately died. For the last... once again she had no idea how many minutes or maybe an hour had passed... no matter how much time passed, she remained glued to the door, waiting for Jack to sign something. She dared not to go to the washroom, just in case one of the guests also decided to use the washroom. Elsa also refused to step away from the door just in case she couldn't hear the knocks.
Another rambunctious fit of laughter leaked into her room while her stomach began to grumble much like her ire. Elsa stopped breathing as her perked ears heard somebody step into the bathroom. Her body turned stiff when the intruder slid open the door. Petrified of the consequence, she fell onto her belly and rolled closer to the bed so that she couldn't be seen.
Ba-ba-bump. Ba-ba-ba-bump. Her heart began to pound so profusely against her chest as the person stepped into her room. On the floor, she could clearly see a pair of grey-socked feet, a man's feet, and they continued to step further into the room to her dread.
What believable excuse could she possibly lie to the man?! This party was to hide the fact that she was living with Jack Pine since the past two nights... and now the intrusive celebrity would blow Jack's brilliant gamble of a plan! Elsa didn't have a creative, cunning mind like Jack, who could easily conduct a credible story and sell it with his confident smile and his seductive silver tongue. Jack... was Jack! And she wasn't Jack! She couldn't think of any excuse!
The man approached and she sighed in disbelief. Elsa bewilderedly whispered, "Jack..."
He wore an amused smirk and bit back his laughter as he demanded, "What are you doing?"
Now Elsa simply felt silly to be hiding under the bed like a 6 year old child during a thunderstorm. The actress huffed and hissed, "You scared me! I thought you were someone else and I couldn't come up with a lie to tell! And I thought the plan was for you to knock on the door!"
She could feel her cheeks burn red. The smiled was wiped clean and Jack knitted his brows. His pale blue eyes looked greatly troubled and he agreed, "Yeah that was the plan and my sister texted me a moment ago that she'll arrive in ten minutes with your dress. You two are going to be wearing the same dress to confuse the guests for a safety measure... but someone unexpected came."
Perplexed by this mystery guest, she asked, "Who?"
Jack looked grim and uncomfortable as he slowly spoke of a name that she truly didn't want to hear. "Santino Miller."
She could feel her hunger flee out the room and she now felt like storming out the room, no, the house. She loathed the time she had to work with her ex-boyfriend on set for Frozen. It was unbearable! He would flirt with all the female colleague and then chase after her like a lost puppy who starved for attention. When they were alone, he would begin with countless apologies and excuses. When she professionally asked Santino to drop the topic as she didn't wish to discuss her private life during work, he'd turn angry and spit, "How long is it going to take for you to talk to me?!"
The funny thing was that she didn't want to talk to him as long as he had that self-centered attitude! Unintentionally she spat, "He's the Prince of Asshood."
She blinked a few time and stared up at Jack's shocked face: both of his brows were raised with his blue eyes wide and his jaw ajar... she probably should not have said that aloud although she did brand Santino with that official title mentally several times.
She was extremely annoyed with herself and prayed to the heavens that Jack wouldn't suddenly ask what her problem was. Jack didn't pry for the answer fortunately, but she could sense that he had a clue about the root of her anger, yet he jokingly said, "And this is why my sister and my mother told me never to spite a woman."
To a pleasant surprise, his response made her laugh. Jack smiled gently and said, "I just thought you should know... so get ready."
Elsa wasn't certain if he was hinting about Santino or about his sister sneaking into her room later. She almost felt like asking him, but he silently snuck back out of her room with at the click of the door.
And just as he promised, an older woman slipped into her room like Jack had earlier. She looked absolutely gorgeous and had a slight resemblance to Jack. Although she wasn't as nearly as tall as her brother, the woman was still slightly taller than Elsa. Emma's hair was much lighter than Jack's as hers was blond while Jack was originally more brown. She had her long hair tied into a bun with a beautiful silver pin holding it up.
Just like Jack, she smiled sweetly at Elsa and she introduced herself, "Hi, nice to meet you. I've heard quite about you from my brother... I'm Emma."
Elsa felt a bit timid around this elegant lady, but the air wasn't suffocating with tension and lost words. Instead, there was a warm atmosphere that made her feel more relaxed- it must have been thanks to Emma's gentle personality.
She returned the smile and also introduced herself, "Hello. I'm Elsa... and I'm really sorry that you and your family had to go and make this huge event for me."
Emma laughed and easy heartedly said, "In our family tree, everyone is more stubborn and strong willed than a mountain. Once anyone makes a decision, we follow through it no matter how difficult the situation or goal may be."
Elsa giggled at Emma and Jack's family description because she already had a fair amount of experience of Jack's strong and determined will. Such as the day when he conducted the elusive plan out of the building in a small pizza delivery car and the ongoing party to get her safely out of the house without getting stained by the media.
Then Jack's older sister said, "Not only that, it was my son who started this whole affaire with that problematic photo. I'll have him apologize later, but my family and I are truly sorry for this problem."
Elsa was surprised when the older woman gently bowed her head with her formal apology. She quickly said, "It's alright! It's been fun for the last few days and it gave me a chance to make a new colleague and a friend."
She felt better after Emma smiled again and Emma said, "Let's get you dressed up and ready to join the crowd."
Emma brought out an elegant, silky beige dress excitedly. Elsa quickly wore the dress and got her make-up lightly done while Emma helped her braid her blonde hair and decorated the thick braid with small flower shaped pins. At the end of the dress up, they looked greatly alike, with Elsa having her hair braided down while Emma had her hair knotted into a tight bun.
Elsa smirked when Emma winked playfully like her brother and asked, "Are you ready to fool all the celebrities?"
Going to use a list of songs next chapter! It's too bad that I don't have enough time to write longer chapters, but I hope it was enjoyable though :) Thank you very much for reading as always! Loving the fact with the increase in readers too, cheers! Hit the 100+ mark for readers and reviews.
