AN: This is really therapeutic for negative emotions. So cheers to more writing. :) And thanks for the reviews, I will be responding back at the bottom later. You guys are so awesome. And this chapter will be in Elsa's POV.
Elsa carefully got off of Jack's motorcycle and she was about to remove the helmet off of her head, but he stopped her with his hands overlapping against hers. He removed his eye shield and smiled kindly and knowingly said, "You can give it back to me on another day."
It was embarrassing, but just from his facial expression, she could guess that he already knew that she looked like a disgusting mess beneath the helmet after crying her heart out during the ride. Without anything more to say than the farewell, he simply said, "You should get some rest. Night Elsa."
She agreed as it was truly dark outside where only the street lamps and the large crescent moon shone and not a single noise disturbed the night's peaceful hours, except the soft rumbles from his motorcycle. Then he masked his face again and did a U-turn out of her neighbourhood. It didn't take so much time for the darkness to cover Jack and his bike as his back grew smaller and smaller, further away from her.
When he was gone, Elsa finally removed the helmet and looked in the direction where Jack Pine had left. She said, "Good night, Jack."
She turned and went back to her empty home. She sighed as she stopped in front of the entrance and took out her set of keys out of the leather jacket pocket. She was only able to bring 3 things: the keys, her cell phone, and her small wallet. She opened the doors and spoke to herself, "I'm home.."
It was dark inside, of course, it had been a few weeks since she came home. She had her work which kept her busy from coming back home and then there was the incident with Jack, although time with him was fun- the memories made a small smile to form on her face. She turned on the lights and went to her bedroom, then tossed the leather jacket onto her bed before going to the washroom in order to check her face in the mirror. A groan escaped from her lips, she did look like blubbering mess. Her hair had gotten tangled from the helmet, her eyes were reddened and puffy, and some of her make-ups were smudged from her tears and snot.
The actress laughed at herself and said, "Thank God, Jack stopped me taking off the helmet."
She immediately started removing her make-up as she gingerly wiped her face. The cool water was refreshing as it washed her face and it made her sighed happily. Then she slipped out of her clothing and let the dress spill down to her toes before climbing into the shower where the hot water soothed her body and washed her pain away slowly. She lavished her body with soap while her fingers carefully untangled the knots out of her hair. Elsa allowed the hot water to leather her as she looked at her wrist where he used force to do whatever he pleased.
She felt anger again and she hated it. She hated the fact that he could still stir up any feelings out of her. It really pissed her off, but then she recalled Jack's cold, sharp eyes. Elsa could have never imagined Jack capable of making such a face. He was controlled, but it was visible. She was able to see her rage reflected in his eyes. She could tell the degree of anger behind his eyes.
However, Jack protected her. He was the only one who saw her in that state, but he shielded her. Nobody did that for her before and she never expected anyone to do that for her. Then he offered her a ride and he didn't blame her. Jack also noticed her pain and did not stop her from crying. He actually told her to cry and she never cried in front of others since she was eight years old. Elsa always protected herself and she was fully aware of defensive barricade around herself. She was the one built it so nobody could hurt her.
Yet it felt safe and alright to cry around him and she couldn't explain why. Tonight was a night where it was okay to leave herself vulnerable around Jack. Everything about him was confusing like a mystery.
She stepped out of the shower and dried her naked body with her new, white, soft body towel. She left the washroom and put her pajamas on. She collapsed onto the mattress and lied next to the leather jacket. It smelled like him. She took out the cell and plugged it to the charger. The screen flashed back to life and Elsa looked at the contact list, but focused on a single name: [Jack Pine] .
Elsa checked the time and assumed that Jack would have returned home by now. Maybe he went to sleep since it was really late at night, but she felt that it was required for her to send him a proper thank you for everything he had done for her in the past few days:
ELSA: [Hey thanks for everything]
It only took one minute for a reply.
JACK: [No problem. U okay?]
He still felt worried about Elsa.
ELSA: [Yeah, I think so]
Yes. It felt safe to talk to him.
JACK: [If u ever need to talk about it, feel free to txt me]
Jack meant his words and Elsa knew she could trust and depend on him.
ELSA: [I just don't like him]
She could be honest with him.
JACK: [Yeah... I kinda noticed that.]
He wanted to be by her side whenever she needed him.
ELSA: [He can be a jackass]
She could show her ugly side. The hate inside her.
JACK: [I noticed... But, hey, don't go off staining my name along :P]
Elsa laughed.
ELSA: [Sorry :P But earlier, you said we were friends... do you really consider us friends?]
She wanted to know.
JACK: [Always. As long as you will have me. U are no longer a stranger]
Yes, he considered them as friends.
ELSA: [Then can we talk tmr?]
She relaxed on her bed and hugged his leather jacket.
JACK: [Of course. Anytime.]
He looked at the screen of his cell phone and smiled as he closed his eyes. Meanwhile Elsa continued to snuggle closer to the jacket that carried his scent and started to drift off to slumber.
Reply back to reviews:
Blueeyedangel67: thank you, your comment really meant something to me. Thank you for caring about me :) and also for your considerate review
SlothLover0102: Yes as a guy, you see a douche, you get rid of them immediately. A man is not a man until he can protect anyone who needs him.
Crazydaisy-in-tha-house: Thank you :) Glad to hear you like the story.
Guest: Emma actually wore a wig to match her colour. Emma's hair is light brown mixed with dirty blond. Elsa's hair is blond with some gold.
Cheers to all the reviews, I loved them. Hope to hear from you guys again :D -IB
