I told you the chapters wouldn't stay too short! :D
This is good, and here's an update, we are -drum roll please- 3 chapters from starting the games! Yes! I'm so excited!
Enjoy!
Rainbowdash sat alone at a table eating her lunch. Training was hard for the past few days, but this was the last day of training. After lunch, all of the tributes would get their training scores. Rarity and Tena walked up to Rainbowdash's empty table, putting their food on the table. Rarity was a rather beautiful pony, who obviously took care to look good. She had a prominent Capital hairstyle, and wore some beautiful garb too. Tena on the other hand, focused on looking tough, she was a really tall pony, and 17 years old too. Almost all of her light gray body was muscle, and she wasn't afraid to show it.
"As you may know," Rarity started, whipping her hair out of her face, "It is customary every year, for the tributes from District 1, 2, and 4 to join as careers. Sometimes other Districts are allowed in, but we think otherwise. Rainbowdash, would you like to be one of the careers this year?"
"Would I?!" Rainbowdash said. She hopped up off the table in joy, she realized she was making a seen and then contained her excitement, "I mean. Sure, that sounds good. I would enjoy being a career."
"Good," Tena answered, "We were going to ask Shining Armor and Big Macintosh as well… If they don't ask us first. I think that every tribute here knows that we're going to make the careers. We're a pretty tough bunch."
Almost as soon as Tena said this, the white stallion, Shining Armor, interrupted, "Can we sit at your table?" He was standing with Big Macintosh, who sparkled in the rooms lighting with his orange fur.
"We were wondering," Big Mac started.
"Yes!" Tena and Rainbowdash chimed in at the same time.
"What I think my friends mean is," Rarity said with a giggle, "We'd adore being careers."
Meanwhile, Doctor Whooves sat with two young fillies to make an alliance with them. One of them, named Sweetie Belle, was a 12 year old unicorn from District 11, where the other was Scootaloo, a filly pegasus from District 5, that convinced the Capital that he was a boy. The three of them had all done their training together from the start, so throughout the stations they had gotten to know each other well.
"Would you two fillies care to make an alliance with me?" Doctor Whooves asked.
"Yes," Sweetie Belle answered, "Of course!" She smiled at him with her cute face, her white fur glistening with joy. It was as if her aura was visible to everypony around. She was glad that she had an older tribute to team up with her. She was worried she would be all alone.
"Sure, I'd love to have a team," Scootaloo said.
"Hey," a voice interrupted from the behind Doctor Whooves, "You're Scootaloo right?" Doctor Whooves turned around to see Hot Shot and Soarin'. Oh great, Whooves thought, What are they doing here?
Hot Shot was a stuck up pegasus from District 7. He was tall and burly, from his work chopping trees down, most thought. But if you asked the other girl from District 7, Silver Spoon, she wouldn't even know who he was. Before he was reaped, it's as if this tall, brown, and handsome pegasus never existed.
Soarin' on the other hand, was much different. Everyone in District 8 knew who he was. This blue and yellow pegasus was a confident and cocky flyer, and was a great athlete in almost all areas.
Scootaloo was lost for words. She could only think of how hot Soarin' and Hot Shot were, and that they were talking to the likes of her.
"Hello?" Hot Shot said, "Scootaloo, we'd like you on our team."
Scootaloo gasped in pure joy. She started hyperventilating.
"Whoa! What?" Soarin' said in shock, "Dude."
"What?" Hot Shot whispered.
"I thought we were a two-pony team," Soarin' whispered back.
"Are you brain dead or something?" Hot Shot sneered, "We need to keep our friends close, and our enemies closer. She tricked the Capital into thinking she was a he. That means she's smart, and we can't have her doing something to mess our game plan up."
"I see…" Soarin' answered, "Alright. But keep her at a distance; we need to turn on her when the time is right."
"Trust me," Hot Shot responded, "There will be a turn of the tide. And she will regret it the most."
"Stop emphasizing words," Soarin' snapped, "It's getting annoying."
"Sorry…" Hot Shot turned back around and welcomed Scootaloo to be part of their team. And to Doctor Whooves' surprise, Scootaloo left without hesitation. She probably thought that it would be better to have two older boys than one. What an idiot.
Applejack sat with her new-founded friends. She was hoping to make an alliance, but she wasn't confident in making one. Twilight Sparkle sat next to her, she was from District 5, with some dark fur and a dark mane, and an equally dark attitude, Applejack wasn't quite sure if she would be a good teammate.
Pinkie Pie on the other hand was always confident, and outgoing. Her pink flare of a color added to her personality, and she was ready to make friends. Pinkie Pie was from District 9, which was more of a depressing District. It's a little funny that Pinkie Pie is such a happy person, or at least, she would think so.
The last member of Applejack's new friend circle was Spike, a young purple dragon that had some minor magical abilities. Spike was a genius from District 3, but also well treated, as he lived in a rich area. She wasn't sure how well he'd survive.
"So who wants to be teamed up?" Pinkie Pie jumped in to start the conversation.
"I think I could use a partner," Twilight said, "I don't know if I could survive on my own."
"I know I would," Spike said, "If any of you could fly. My plan is to fly as far away as possible from the cornucopia as soon as the games start. Sadly, all three of you are earth ponies."
"Hello," Twilight got a little ticked off, "Unicorn here."
"Sorry, Twilight," Spike said.
"So we're a team?" Pinkie Pie said, "What about you, Applejack?"
"Hmmm," Applejack responded, "Okay." But there was something inside her that said not to team with them. There was something she trusted about Dainty Almond, something good. She felt that might change her status on the team.
"Tributes," Luna's voice boomed over the intercom, "Lunch is over! Please make your way to the main Training Hall. It's time to give out your training scores!"
The scores! What are they going to be?! I don't know! Well... I do... but you don't... XD (Review porfavor [that's spanish for "please"])
