53. Claudia Zonko

Claudia Zonko loved to laugh.

How could she not? Her father was the owner and sole proprietor of the greatest joke shop in Hogsmede (and in Claudia's opinion-the whole of England).

Not a day went by when her father wasn't playing a prank on her or one of her siblings. Spiders in the soup, hair dyed green in the middle of the night, little fireworks going off whenever the coffee can was opened- It drove her mother up the wall.

Sure the Weasely twins were good-and no one could deny their innovation. They were a year or so behind Claudia in Gryffindor, and she was proud to say that she had showed them a thing or two in their early years. Even she had to admit that they could really put on a show. But her dad was classic.

Everyone at Hogwarts knew that Claudia Zonko was about the happiest person in the school. Her laugh-loud yet still girly, became famous in the school. When she moved on to the Dept. of Magical Games and Sports after graduating, it became famous there too.

Claudia Zonko loved to laugh. So it was with a little twinge of sadness in her heart that Bellatrix Lestrange laughed when she killed. As Claudia drew her wand and moved toward the cackling Death Eater, she realized that laughter could be cruel too.
