Hey there! It's been a while, and I've been meaning to post this, but I never got to it! Surprise for those who read this when it's posted, I'm releasing five chapters today! :D

I meant to do this on Halloween, but I didn't get to it. So happy November I guess! Enjoy!

Rainbowdash opened the doors to the mess hall quietly. Nurse Coldheart was leading the way, and as soon as she walked in… well… Let's just say she got everypony's attention.

"Hey everybody!" Coldheart shouted, "Rainbowdash has arrived!"

As soon as she said this, the bright, deep, sound of a cello boomed through the room. Octavia Melody stood on a stage in front of everypony, playing a sonata of some sort. There was a line over at the side of the room, where some ponies were serving soup. Rainbowdash could use a bowl of hot soup. She jumped up and flew to the line, where she stood right behind another pony. The pony had orangish fur, and a long, yellow mane. She also wore a hat on top of her head, and

her cutie mark was three apples.

All too familiar.

Rainbowdash walked up next to her and asked, "Have I seen you before?"

"Well I would think so Dashy," the pony responded. She smiled at Rainbowdash politely. "Maybe you can guess."

"Are you from District 4?"

"No," the pony laughed.

"Umm…" Rainbowdash thought for a few minutes as they continued through the line. Then she hit herself in the forehead. "The games! How are you here? Wasn't your name Applesmith or something?" Rainbowdash jumped in excitement, "You should be dead! How did-

"Slow down honey pie," the pony laughed again. She had a strong southern accent; a sign she was from District 6. "You'll find out soon. And my name is Applejack." She got her soup and waited for Rainbowdash to get hers. "District 13 needs me, and you, as a matter of fact. They actually rescued me from the games."

"And no one found out? The Capital didn't know you didn't die?" Rainbowdash asked eagerly.

"Not right away. But I'm sure they've figured it out by now," Applejack said happily.

Suddenly, another pony of a similar color to Applejack's came up to introduce himself. He was rather short, and nerdy looking. He came with a female pony, she was pink and seemed a little off. But Rainbowdash didn't take notice to it.

"Wow," the nerdy pony said, "I can't believe you're actually here!"

Before Rainbowdash could say anything the other pony interrupted, "I'm sorry, he's very excited about you coming. This was his plan after all."

"Well cool," Rainbowdash said, "It's nice to meet you. I'm Rainbowdash." She turned to the guy pony and laughed. Everything about him screamed "nerd." He had reading glasses on, and a couple pens and a notepad in his breast pocket. He wore a pinstripe suit -which was all right, Rainbowdash guessed- that clashed against the color of his fur. A dark orange.

"We know plenty well who you are," the pink pony said calmly.

"This is so exciting!" the male pony said. He paused awkwardly and realized he needed to introduce himself. "I'm Redwall, by the way, and this fine mare here is Cheerilee."

Rainbowdash looked at Cheerilee, and saw inside her eyes. They were sad, lonely, and broken, but Cheerilee was smiling. It was a strange expression. She diverted her attention back to Redwall, who was smiling at her too, but more sincerely.

"Nice to me you Nerdwall," Rainbowdash joked.

"It's Lieutenant Redwall, actually," Redwall said politely. Suddenly, his eyes widened with anger as he realized he was just insulted. "Rainbowdash! That was not the slightest bit kind!"

"I just got back from the games and you expect me to be kind?" Dashy laughed.

"Now listen here-

"Listen? I'm sorry, but your authority doesn't come over me," Rainbowdash's smile faded, "I don't take orders from anyone." She turned and started walking away, but Applejack, who was watching the whole scene, came after her.

"Dashy," Applejack started a canter after her new friend, "Dashy why are you going away."

"I can't stand the presence of that Redwall guy," Rainbowdash responded, "There's something wrong about him."

A sparkle came into Applejack's eyes as she spoke. "He isn't that bad when you get to know him. He makes a very loyal friend, and he will always have your back."

Rainbowdash smiled a bit, but not because of Redwall. Applejack knew just how to cheer someone up. There was something about her voice that was melodic, like the vibrating cello coming from the other side of the large mess hall. It was then that the music was quiet, and Octavia walked off the stage to get food. The rumbling sound of chatter and conversation filled the room.

That's when the ground shook.

Oh my gosh! What's gonna happen? I guess you'll find out soon, but I'll wait like forty-five minutes or so just to make you feel rage! :D
