Kafei gripped tightly the edge of the drum. Knowing full well that letting go would not only end his life, but the life of a young woman as well. Princess Zelda Held onto Kafei's other hand as best she could, but could feel herself slipping.

Kafei and the princess heard footsteps running in their direction. Link knelt down on the edge of the bongo and grabbed Kafei's wrist. As he pulled himself up onto the drum, Link grabbed Zelda's arm and pulled her up as well. The two rolled over into sitting positions. The princess was shaking, Kafei was shaking even more and Link's face was sick with worry. He had almost lost two very good friends.

"T-thank you for trying to saving me, and I'm sorry I almost got you killed, Kafei..." Zelda said.

"You're welcome, and that's ok, I'm kind of getting used to it now." Kafei cracked a smile, letting her know that he wasn't angry at her. Link sighed of relief and helped his friends to their feet.

"Now that that's over with...why don't we finnish of this guy?" Link pointed to the boss monster who was looking angrily around the drum. He spotted the group and they ran over to it.

everyone repeated their fighting techniques until the monster's red eye opened for the final time. Kafei quickly shot it and the monster once again was furious. The group gathered in the center of the bongo and held onto each other. The being pounded on the drum until it was exhausted. It's body fell from the ceiling and into the poisonous moat below. It was over.

A blue light appeared in the middle of the instrument. Kafei, Link and Zelda, who were still holding hands, stepped into it and were transported out of the well and into Kakariko village. It was a beautiful sunny day. Link looked around the town. Little tents were set up and Goron's worked hand in hand with villagers as they reconstructed the village. Impa, who was studying some blue prints, was the first to look up.

She smiled. "I knew you guys could do it!"

The rest of the people looked up from their work and applauded.

That night, our heros were offered a meal, and a tent to sleep in. They hadn't slept, and had barely eaten in a few days, so they were happy to oblige. After their meal, Link and Zelda fell fast asleep. Kafei, however was up tossing and turning for a few more hours wondering what would happen next.
