Chapter 18: Tragedy Strikes

*Edward*

Shit was about to hit the fan. I could sense it, almost hear it. Betrayal and anger radiated off of Jasper, hard. Alice had betrayed us all by helping Rosalie. She fooled us all when Emmett brought Bella to meet us, making believe she hated Rosalie for what she did to our brother.

"Jas, you need to try and calm down. You are making us all feel your pain."

"I'm sorry. I just can't believe Alice would do this. She told me she hated Rose for what she done. She may be my mate, but I can't let her live if she harms my brother's."

"I know. I'm sorry." I did feel bad for him. Having to go through this shitty situation.

It hit me, like a force of a Mac truck. Three different voices flooded my mind. Two I knew, the other I didn't recognize.

"Edward? What is it?" Esme asked.

"They are close. They have someone else in on it, too."

"Hey, when did all of you get here?" Emmett asked, surprised.

"A few hours ago. Edward thought it best we be close."

"Okay, is something wrong, Edward?"

"Where's Bella?"

"She went to Seattle with Charlie. He took her out on a date so she could clear her mind from her mother's visit."

"Shit."

"What's going on, Edward?" Emmett's voice began to get angrier.

"I can hear three different thoughts. Two are definatly Alice and Rosalie, the third I'm not sure of. They plan on making their move tonight."

"Damn it! We need to get closer to them. I can't let them get to Bella."

"Em, don't worry. Bella has become like the sister to Major. He will do anything to keep her safe, even if it means he has to kill our mate. To him, Bella is blood." Jasper stood by Emmett, hand on his shoulder.

"Thanks, Jas. We need to get moving."

"Already on it. Emmett, you and Jasper will head towards Seattle to keep an eye on Bella and Charlie. Esme, Edward and I will follow the girls and watch their moves. We will call each other if anything happens." Carlisle walked into the room, pulling in his coat.

"Okay. Let's get going." Emmett and Jasper sped off while Carlisle, Esme and I followed the girls.

"They are thirty minutes behind Bella and Charlie. They keep changing their minds, so I don't know what they will do."

"Knowing Rosalie, she will aim to kill." Esme replied.

*Jasper*

Emmett and I followed Bella's scent to Seattle. I could also smell Alices not far behind. It took everything I had not to let Major follow hers and tear her apart.

"Alice is close behind Bella. We need to hurry."

Emmett nodded and pushed foward harder. Twenty minutes later we were across the street from a restaurant, looking at Bella and Charlie through the window.

"At least they are safe for now. I'll call Carlisle." I pulled out my phone and dialed his number.

"Are they safe?"

"Yes. We see them. They are eating. On our way here I could smell Alice, not far behind."

"We have eyes on them. They are sitting around the corner. They have a third woman with them. I don't know who she is."

"We will soon find out. Listen, there is only one way we can keep Alice from seeing us anywere in her visions. I happened apon it in her journal. The only way for anyone to pass her visions is for all of us is to constantly move. If we sit still she will know what we are doing, but if we move around, she can't pin point us in the vision."

"Alright. Each of us will keep moving, but keep an eye on them. Let us know if anything happens."

Carlisle hung up. I turned back to Emmett, who was still watching Bella. I could feel his uneasiness. I let out a wave of reassurance to him and he nodded.

We moved around the buildings, as to avoid Alice, but could still keep an eye in Bella and Charlie. After an hour in the city they began their way back home.

"There they are. That's Rosalie's car." Emmett pointed out.

Suddenly my phone rang. It was Edward.

"They are going to ram them into the woods! They are going to cause a crash when it's more secluded."

"On it!" I rushed forward, but before I could reach the car, it colided with Charlie's truck.

"Bella!"

*Emmett*

I screamed her name over and over again. Before I could reach her, the truck flipped several times down the hill.

I saw Alice, Rosalie and the third woman run down the hill after them.

I could hear her screaming at the others.

"I thought you said they wouldn't get hurt!"

"I never said that! I want he eliminated from Emmetts life."

"Rose, calm down. I hit them hard enough the empact should have killed them."

I was fuming. They aimed to kill my Bella. I went to run foward but was jolted back. I looked up to see not Jasper, but the Major looking down at me.

"Careful, boy. You don't know what them women can do. I sense one is human. You wait til my signal to attack. That's my sister down there, and her life will be saved."

By this time, Edward, Carlisle and Esme joined us. Esme's eyes were filled with fear.

"Where are they?"

"Rosalie and Alice are by the truck. I can still hear heartbeats, but just. We need to get to them, fast. Major, let us go to them."

"I get first shot. Let's move."

We ran into the woods and stopped when I seen Renee standing there.

"Renee? What the hell?"

"I'm sorry! They told me if I would get my Bella back if I went in and told her to come home and make her think no one would care for her. I didn't think it would go this far."

I looked over to Rosalie and Alice. Rose having a smug look on her face. I lost all control and pinned her by her neck to a tree.

Next to me I seen Major do the same to Alice. "Why in all heaven would you do this, Alice? Do you know what you have done?"

"Yes, I do. I have successfully gave Rosalie he mate back and rid my life of the one who would steal your attention away. Your sister."

"You knew? Why!" Majors eyes deepened in color and his fangs began pertruding.

"Of course I knew! After that day in the field. The way she faught and the way your inner workings smiled. I could tell that she was Major's long lost sister. I searched. She came from a long line, most of her family was half vampire, causing her to carry your blood. Your mother carried her line to Bella. Renee is her birth mother, only because your mother passed along her fertility to her. So, I knew once you and Major found out, I would be pushed aside, left out. I couldn't do that. Plus, id I got rid of her, Rosalie would be back in the picture."

"She will never be back in this family. Ever." I squeezed just a bit harder around her neck.

"Wait. I think we should check in Bella and Charlie. Major, tie them up so they can't get free. As for you, Renee, you better stay put." Esme gave Renee a glare that would put Jane to shame if she could shoot pain into you.

I passed Rosalie off to Major and ran to the truck. I pulled the door off to see my Bella upsde down, blood all over her. I gently pulled her out while Edward worked on Charlie. We laid them side by side, me of course staying beside her.

Bella's eyes fluttered open and turned to Charlie. She reached for his hand.

"Dad?"

"B-Bells, I-I love y-ou."

"Dad? No, please...Don't...Leave me. Dad? No!"

"Bella?"

She looked up at me. "Save him, please!" She screamed and cried.

"Emmett, you must turn her, for if she dies, you and Jasper both will grieve for eternity until you find a death." Carlisle knelt down beside me.

"We will do it together. My sister is your mate, we can both have our ties to her. We must work fast, he heart is giving out."

I nodded. If tears could fall from my eyes, they would have. I could still see a bit of Major in Jasper's eyes, but Jasper was back. We each took a arm and bit. We pumped as much venom in as we could.

"Don't leave me, Isabella. Don't you dare leave me!"
