Chapter 20: Visits & Surprises

*Bella*

"Bella, don't worry so much. Em will be back soon." Esme smiled at me.

I was nervous to see the guys again. Even more nervous because Emmett and Jasper wasn't back yet. I knew they would get along, they were so much like, which was scary.

My heart lept as I seen the Jeep drive up. I ran at human speed out the door.

"Swan! Holy hell girl! Been too damn long!" Jenkins was the first to me. He picked me up in a hug.

"That it has!"

"Have you shrunk since I last saw you, short stack?"

I turned to Harding and slapped his arm. "No, you just grew to giant proportions."

"It's good to see you." He gave me a hug, but was pushed aside.

"Okay, okay, my turn. Back off. My favorite chicka." Franklin gave me one of his huge hugs.

"It's good to see you, too. Well, come on in and I'll get you set up."

I kissed Emmett as I walked by and led the guys in the house. Carlisle and Esme gave us the house in the outkirts if Forks. Dad decided to stay in the cabin down a path behind the main house.

I showed each if them to their own rooms then we met back up at the newly acquired pool. Thankfully the sun was hidden behind the clouds and setting.

"Damn, Emmett. You got a sweet system and tunes goin on here." Jenkins whistled out, admiring the large sound system set along the outside bar.

"What can I say? I like my electronics."

"Let's get this party started!" Jenkins put on some old school Bon Jovi and jumped in the pool.

The guys, Emmett, Jasper and I all lounged in the pool for awhile, talking and laughing.

"Hey, Emmett, you have any video games?" Jenkins asked.

"Oh, trust me, he has plenty. Speaking of." I gave Em a smirk. "I did say a while back that if I ever got my sight back, I was going to kick your butt at some Gears of War. You still on?"

"Oh, yeah, it's on baby!" Emmett pulled me up of my chair and inside. The group of guys followed behind, some still dripping wet.

"Sorry, Mrs. Cullen." Franklin said, sheepishly.

"Esme, please, and it's fine. I have three boys of my own who make a mess. Go on."

Emmett set up the game while the rest of us got a seat. I sat in the floor in front of Jasper. I enjoyed his company more than anyone, besides Em.

"All right, here we go. You're so goin down!" Em smiled.

"Dude, I doubt that. She is so goin to school you. She learned this game quick, had us each beat in a week." Harding watched from the couch.

"Well, I am good. Sorry if you guys are so slow. Your goin down Hulk."

For the next hour Emmett and I played. Each time I beat him, he called for a rematch. I schooled him about twenty times before he finally gave up.

I handed the remote over to Franklin so Emmett could finally win. I looked up at Jasper who gave me a small smile. I failed to notice his quietness through all my fun. I gave a small nod towards the back door, signaling him to follow me. Em gave me a side glance when we left and got the memo where I was going.

"You seem to be havin fun, Isa."

I rolled my eyes at his new nickname for me. "I am, but you seem not to be."

"Just a lot goin through my mind is all." He ran his han through his hair and leaned against the railing.

"Want to talk about it?"

"It's nothing, Isa."

"I call bull, Jas. I know when something is wrong with you. Your venom runs through me as strong as Em's. Plus, we share the same DNA in some sorts. Come on, tell me, or show me, which ever." I got a smile out of him.

"Alright, if you must."

I put my hands on his face and looked into his eyes. I could see his mind was still troubled over Alice. How he was trying to find his way without her. I let go with one hand and kept one on his face.

Jasper Xavier Whitlock, you stop moping. What she done was none your fault. You didn't know what she would do. I know you feel you can't move on without her, but trust me, dear brother, you can and you will. I am here now to help you. If anything, it should be me who is feeling guilty. I made you kill your own mate."

"No, you shouldn't. You would have came into my life sooner or later. I'm glad it was sooner. As for Alice, this part of me still misses her, but the Major is finally at peace. She never sat right with him. I would do it again as long as it meant I had my flesh and blood by my side."

I couldn't help but smile at him. It's been a long time coming that he and I had this conversation.

"Come on, let's go hunting. See who can bag their food first."

"You're on."

*Emmett*

I smiled to myself as I heard Bella and Jasper take off. I handed over my controller so the other guys could play. Bella and Jasper have been needing to talk lately.

"Hey, Emmett."

I turned to see Charlie walk in the back door. "Hey, Charlie. Bells went out with Jasper."

"Yeah, I seen. I came to see what was going on up here."

"Just us guys playin games."

"Sounds fun." Charlie walked into the living roon where the guys were. "Welcome back, soldiers."

"Thanks, Mrs. Swan."

"Charlie, please."

I did like these guys. Bella was right when she said we would get along. I was happy they were here. Made my plans even better.

I could hear Bella and Jasper coming back from their hunt so I met them out on the deck.

"How was your hunt?"

"Great. Got mine before Jas." Bella wrapped her arms around me and kissed me.

"Only cause I let you." Jasper winked.

"Yeah, yeah. I take it dad came up?"

"Yeah, he's inside with the others." I debated on wether I should now or not. And if everyone should be here.

I opened the door and called everyone out. Carlisle and Esme stayed one more day at the house, just for this.

"Em, what's going on?" Bella asked confused.

When everyone was gathered outside, I turned to her. "Bella, a little over a year ago, I seen you that first time in the diner and something inside me stirred. When we finally met and started talking, I knew you could be the one. I didn't care about you being blind, all the more to love to me. Then, exactly a year ago today, you said yes to being with me. We have been through alot. My happiest moment with you was sharing that moment you could see again. You are a beautiful person, inside and out. You make me want to be a better man." I pulled a small box out of my jeans pocket, got down on one knee, and opened it. "Isabella Marie Swan, will you do me the greatest honor of my life and be my wife?"

Bella had her hands over her mouth. She slowly removed them. "Yes, Emmett. I would love to spend the rest of my life with you."

I slipped the ring on her finger and pulled her to me. I kissed her with all the happiness and love I could muster.

"Congrats, Swan! Looks like soon we will actually have to call you by your name." Jenkins, Harding and Franklin all hugged her at once.

"You did good, son." Esme smiled as she hugged me.

"Thanks. Mom."

"So, when will you make it official?"

"Jeez, Jenkins, we just got engaged." Bella laughed.

"All I'm saying is why wait when it's going to eventually happen?"

"He does have a point. I'm sure we could work it out for sooner than later." I looked down at Bella.

"I guess we could. But, even as tom boyish as I am, I still want that dream wedding."

"Don't worry about that. I can help you and have it set up in no time. After all, we have plenty of men that can do all the work." Esme winked.

"Okay. Let Em and I discuss it and we will have it set."

Bella pulled me away to a secluded spot by the lake. As soon as we were hidden, she pulled me in for a passionate kiss. One that made me growl.

"You keep that up and I'll take you here and now." I growled out.

"I don't think so. I'll make you wait until we get married."

"You little devil." I chuckled. "So, when do you want to make it official?"

"Don't know. What do you think? We need enough time to set it all up."

"Two weeks. Esme can have it all ready in two weeks or less."

"Alright, then. It's set. Let's go tell them."

As I said once before, if I had a living, beating heart, it would beat out of my chest at how happy I was.
