A/N: Hey guys, the next few chapters are going to be important so pay attention. They are going to set the base line of the story. This chapter is going to have a bombshell secret come out. But if you have been paying close attention you probably caught on to it already.

Shane's POV
After 'accidentally' walking in on Brook and Nico's moment we all head be to the dance. Except for them two of course. When we get back they start the slow danceing part of the party so I grab Kait's hand and pull her to the dance floor (Kind of clumsily though, I hope she didn't notice).
We sway back and forth, her hands around my neck and mine on her waist. She leans her head into the crock of my neck and we stay in this position for a few songs.
After we dance for a while the two of us head over to the refreshment table and we bump into our friends Layla Menees, daughter of Hecate and Ryder Schultz, son of Ares.
"Sup Shane, Kait?" Says Ryder.
"Not much, you two?" I answer.
"We're fine." Layla answers.
"So you finally asked Kait here out?" Ryder mocks, and Kaitlyn's cheeks are tinted pink.
"Hey! How long did it take for you to ask out Layla!?" I retorted back noticeably blushing and glancing at Kate.
"Oh come on! I liked her for like 3 months before I asked her out, you liked Kait for 3 years!"
"Yeah but at least when I asked her I could form a complete sentence!"
"Well excuse me for…"
"Hey! What is going on here!?" A girls voice calls from behind us. We all turn around to see Brook standing there while holding hands with Nico.
"Well my nut brain of a boyfriend decided to pick a fight with our friend here, Ryder son of Ares, the god of war. Ain't he smart!" Kait says sarcastically while giving me a pointed look.
"Your an idiot Shane," Brook replies with a tone the tells me she's not amused. "Hi, I'm Brook Sworn." She says to Layla and Ryder, shaking hands with both of them.
"Nice to meet you! I Layla Menees. I'm a daughter of Hecate."
"As you already know I'm Ryder, the last names Schultz. Dad's Ares."
"It's a pleasure to meet you all!" Brook says. As we all talk I look over to Kait and see that she is looking back at me smiling evilly. Then she jerks her head towards Nico signaling to me that she wants me to look at him so I do. I see that he is staring lovingly at Brook. Awwwwwww ( my girlfriend did a awesome job with them).
"Go to the DJ and tell him to out on She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5, please." Kait whispers in my ear. (But I was barely paying attention, because she looked so great that I kind of maybe spaced out. (A/N really!)
I came back to earth smiled, nodded, and went to tell my brother to change the song.
I came back and the song changes to She Will Be Loved. And Kate smile at them in a way that says dance Nico and Brook they walk off to the dance floor ( It's kind of weird that everyone does what she says but, I kind of like it. ) ( A/N soon you will all get this mwahahahaha!) Same with Ryder and Mikayla. Then I feel Kaitlyn drag me to go dance.
Brook's POV
Nico and I walk towards where Percy and Annabeth are dancing and we start to dance to. Nico puts his hands on my waist and I put my hands around his neck. I lean my head on his chest listening to the steady thump of his heart. As we dance I can't help but overhear Percy and Annabeth's conversation.
"Percy I need to tell you something." Annabeth says to my brother softly.
"What is it Wise Girl. You know you can tell me anything."
"Percy...I'm pregnant." Woah! Called it!
"Wait what? How!"
"You know exactly how Seaweed Brain."
"I umm… I gotta go." Percy says, then he takes off towards the stables. Annabeth starts to go after him but I stop her.
"Don't worry, I got this." I say to her and follow after Percy.
When I get to the stables I see Percy brushing the Pegasus in the stall next to Pimelea, who I am assuming is Blackjack.
"I don't want to talk." Percy says coldly.
"So we won't talk." I say back as I walk over to grab a brush. I start to brush Pimelea and she keeps nuzzling me with her muzzle. After a couple of minutes I go to the basket of apples and give one to Pimelea. Then I have an idea of how to get Percy's mind off of things. I pick up another apple and throw it at him, hitting him square in the head. He turns around with a shocked/murderous expression. I start to second guess my actions but then I see the playful glint in his eyes.
"Did you just throw an apple at me, little girl?" He inquires.
"Nope! It was Pork Pie!" I say pointing to the heavy pegasus in the stall across from us.
"Suuuuuure it was!"
"Hey, wanna go on a pegasus race?"
"Sure! Let's saddle up the-the... Pegasuses, pegasuseseseses, pegasusi? Pegaso?" Idiot!
"Pegasi."
"Yeah pegasi...es. You know what, let's just saddle them up!" Percy says, exasperated.
Once we are in the air Percy sets the rules. Start at Thalia's tree and do 3 laps around camp just inside the borders.
"On you marks. Get set. Go!" Calls Percy and we are off.
Percy starts in the lead with me and Pimelea close behind. It goes on like this until halfway through the 2 lap I pull ahead. At the last stretch before I'm about to get to the tree Blackjack speeds ahead winning the race for him and Percy. Once we both fly back to the stables and take the saddles off of our pegasi, we walk towards the lake together.
"Percy," I say when we sit down on the nice soft sand. "I know you might not want to talk about it at the moment, but why are you so upset? Annabeth and you are going to have a baby."
He sighs and answers. "I'm not as much upset as I am scared. I mean I know Annabeth will be an amazing mother but what if I'm a sucky father. I mean our father wasn't exactly there for us until we were 12 and 13. I don't want to be the father who is never there. I'm scared, Brook."
"Perce, what is your fatal flaw?" I ask, even though I know the answer already.
"Loyalty."
"Exactly! You're always loyal, to loyal even. You're never going to not be there for the kid! Percy, you barely know me and yet you're always there for me! Percy, Big Brother, you'll be a wonderful father and don't for even a second think that you won't!"
"Thanks, Brook."
"Hey, that's what sisters are for."
"By the way, there was something I needed to tell you."
"Please don't tell me you pregnant too, cause that would be weird."I say and we both laugh.
"That would be weird but no, I'm not pregnant. When you were in that state with Luke your first day in the weapons shack I made a promise to myself. And after discussing it with Annabeth and Chiron we decided, if you were okay with it, that Annabeth and I would take you back to New York. We would adopt you from Leo and Calypso. They would need to sign the papers along you Annabeth, you and me, but we are going to florida soon to visit them like they requested anyways. So, what do you think?"
I wasn't sure if this was really or not so I poked him in the face. He squealed, yep this is really.
"Hey! What was that for?"He says.
"I was trying to figure out if you were really or not…. Your real."
"Yeah, no kidding! So are you okay with us adopting you? You can even keep your last name, we would just have legal custody of you."
"Yeah, I'm fine with it. But I'm definitely keeping my last name!"
"Great! We should probably get back now, cause I hear the Chiron's got a special announcement."
We get back to the dance just in time for the announcement. As Chiron starts to trot onto the stage, Nico makes his way next to me and slips his hand in mine.
"Attention all campers! The gods and I have decided it was time for a change. We have bought a massive piece of property, about 700 acres, in the city. A large 20 story warehouse is on these grounds. We decided that anybody that wanted to attend school or their parents decided they should can go to the nearby schools. Pre-K to 5th grade will be attending Alpine Lower School. 6th through 8th grade will be attending Alpine Middle School. High Schoolers will be attending Goode High and anybody in College will be able to attend any college of choice throughout New York City. Every school except for the colleges of course will have at least one older demi-god working in the school. For Alpine Lower School Malcom Thorne, son of Athena will be working as a science teacher. For Alpine Middle School Will Solace will be working as the schools student counselor. For Goode High Percy Jackson will be working as the Marine Biology teacher and coach of the swim team. We will give a signup sheet to all of the head counselors for campers who would like attend if their parents haven't already signed you up. If you parents did you will find your name on the list already. Have a good night and curfew is at 11:30 tonight."
