A/N: Hello people! Here's the gist: this chapter we are going to meet the Valdez family and see where Brook grew up! We hope you enjoy it! PS sorry for not meeting the family last chapter like we promised but it would have been way too long and we forgot to take it out of the author's note.

Leo's POV

"I missed you to Brook." I says and scoop Brook up and gives her a huge hug. She hugs back tightly. I can't help but shed a few tears. This is the girl I've known since she was 7. I raised since she was 10 and she's been apart of my family forever. I love her like my own daughter. Gods did I miss her, I'm so happy she's safe. After a minute I turn around to see all of my friends.

"Hey guys." I say.

"Leo!" They all scream at the same time and run at me. Brook side steps the advance and watches as all of my friends jump on me, except for Nico, he's never been a touchy guy. We all fall to the ground laughing.

"A little help here?" I say to Brook from the bottom of the dog pile.

"Nope! You dug your own grave on this one. Besides, I'm still peeved about you talking about me like that."

"Dang!" I say. Then an airport supervisor comes over to us and says we have to move. Their loss, there gonna miss out on all the Leo masters good looks!

"SHOTGUN!" Brook calls. About time, I was waiting for that. She always calls shotgun.

After about a half hour we are all squished in the car. There are only eight seats so Piper has to sit on Jasons lap.

"I really did miss you Leo." Brook whispers quietly.

"I know. The week you left Emma wouldn't stop crying. She would sit in your room holding the stuffed monkey you gave her. Sometimes she comes in to our bed room saying she had a nightmare about you, she was always so worried about you. Whenever someone would make fun of her in school she would come home crying saying that she missed you and wished you were home because you are her best friend." I say.

"How is she? Does she know I'm coming?"

"Yeah, she knows. I wouldn't let her come because there wasn't enough room and she threw a tantrum worthy of Olympus! But otherwise she's great. She is going to start kindergarten this year."

"Wow. How's Calypso?"

"She good. When I told her you were coming to visit she started singing!"

"Well, that's not saying much. She always sings!"

"True! By the way we told Derek you were coming home and he's coming for dinner tonight."

"Really? Thank you so much. Gods did I miss all of you! Um...how's the house?"

"Your house is fine. Are you going to go through it while you're here?"

"Yeah, but I'm definitely bring Nico or Percy with me. I think I'm going to finally go into my mom's room." She says but chokes at the last part.

"Ok. I get you want to take Percy but why Nico?"

"Um...well, Nico and I are kinda dating." She mumbles. Oh now I get my chance to get back at her for slapping me.

"Oh yeah! I ship Nicook all dah way!" I scream to the rest of the car. (N/A Thank you to PJOHOOKCFAN for coming up with the wonderful ship name!)

"Leo!" Both Nico and Brook scream.

"See! You guys are even finishing each other's sentences! Truly perfect." The entire group starts to laugh. I look to my right quickly and notice Brook became very silent, we are getting close to home. Then before we know it we pass the cemetery where Brook's mother is buried. I glance over at her again and see a lone tear streaking down her cheek. After a couple more minutes we get to my street.

"Guys, we're here." I announce and the minute I say that Brook jumps out of the car...Literally.

"Lion Fish!" Calls my daughter, Emma and runs towards Brook.

"Angelfish!" Brook says while laughing. Emma jumps at her and Brook catches her, giving her a big squeeze. Emma starts to cry on Brooks shoulder.

"Em, please don't cry. I'm right here." Brook says in a hushed tone.

"But you're going to leave." She says back in her adorable puppy dog voice. For the record she got that from me. This causes Brook to tear up.

"I know, but I'll visit, I promise."

"You better." A voice says from behind all of us. We all turn around and come face to face with a boy. He has shaggy brown hair and silvery-green eyes. He is wearing a regular red and black button up with a green day t-shirt underneath, jeans, grey beanie, and skate board in hand. Derek Black.

"Derek!" Brook screams. She puts Emma down and runs at Derek. When she reaches him they both fall on the ground laughing. Nico does not look happy at all. Brook gets up and lends a hand to Derek, pulling him up too.

"Dang Brook! Who the heck are all these people." Derek asks.

"Well um, these are uhhhhhh mix of my cousins and friends, sibling from camp! Oh and boyfriend but I want you to guess who is who!" Brook replies back.

"Alright! Hmmm, well everyone looks older than you except the goth kid so he is probably your boyfriend. And black hair green eyes is your brother cause he has the same eyes as you, but to be honest I've known you forever and I never knew you had a brother?"

"I'm not goth! Yeash, why does everyone think that?" Nico exclaims.

"Probably because of all the dark clothing and no smiling thing." I say jokingly.

"Well I'm not goth so yeah," Nico says visually aggravated.

"Okay umm, well lets go eat everyone!" I say nervously.

We all quickly go to the table where everyone say down and started talking excitedly. Calypso and Brook are talking about all her adventures on the way to Camp Half Blood when things go down.

"So how do you know Brook" Nico says to Derek tempting fate a little. (In my mind at least)

"Oh Sworn and I go way back. I can't remember a time without her. Well except for the the years she was gone but otherwise." Derek replies.

"Well 'Sworn' and I are dating well yeah so back off". Nico says warningly.

"Woah dude, I never would go out with Brook, I'm..." Derek starts but then is cut off.

"I don't care if you are a unicorn stay away from her!" Nico yells.

"Thats insulting dude I'm leaving Sworn call me when your boyfriend is not a possessive jerk!" Derek says through gritted teeth.

"Don't go Derek!" Brook says almost crying as Derek walks out the door.

"You know what I need a walk!" Brook says then runs out the door and disappears into the darkness.

Nico gets up and runs after her.

Sadly I think I know where she's going. 4610 Sunset Avenue.
