Chapter 1

As we see rocks flying in the vastness of space, we hear a voice: "There was a legend that precedes the dawn of our civilization. A vile god so large and so powerful that it consumed entire planets as fuel." We then see a large blue planet with a ring surrounding it, "Few believe such a thing could be true; until the day we saw Unicron with our own eyes."

Then we gaze upon a giant metallic planet looming above the blue planet from earlier. This planet orbits around the sun and shoots out ships onto the blue planet. These ships rain down on the beautiful terrain of this mysterious planet. As the ships land, we see Scorpion-like robots burst out of them, however, we pan around one large pod that landed.

"But he didn't just come for our planet. He wanted our greatest technology. The Transwarp Key. And he sent his most powerful henchmen to collect it. Scourge." The pod opens, and out comes a mysterious grey robot with a horned mask. We see the Scorpion bots fire at an Ape-like robot running from them with an orange crystal in his mouth. He jumps up in the air, grabs onto the vine of a tree, and spins around in the other direction. He looks back assuming he escaped, however, he is hit by a blast from the enemies and crashes to the ground as the Crystal goes flying into the air and on the ground.

The Robotic Ape gets up and sees the crystal, however, the Scorpion Robot returns and is about to attack the downed Ape, however, another Ape appears from the sky, and lands on the ground behind the Scorpion. grabs its tail and spins it around before slamming it into the ground and tearing its head from its body. The ape slams his chest in victory before throwing the head away. The other Scorpion behind the standing Ape is then blasted by fire, as a robotic bird descends from the sky. A robotic Cheetah and Rhino appear from the woods, the cheetah speaks as they approach the others. "More enemies are landing! We won't be safe for long!"

The Bird who landed on a defeated Scorpion asks, " Do we have the key?" The older Ape robot goes to pick up the crystal that still remains on the ground. He walks over to the younger Ape saying "You must take it. Keep it hidden so that it never falls into the hands of Unicron." The other Ape robot shakes his head in disagreement and says "But Apelinq, we can fight!" "No! Protecting our Transwarp Key is all that matters! Go! Use it to escape!" Apelinq says as he hands the key over to the younger Ape.

Concerned for her friend the Bird robot asks, "What will you do?" Apelinq looks to the sky and then the woods as he says "I'll hold him off. Buy you some time." As he turns to prepare himself for battle the younger ape grabs his arm. The younger Ape speaks with confidence "Then I'm staying with you." Apelinq shakes his head and disagreement and puts his arm on the younger Ape's shoulder, "This is my fight. Listen. If Unicron were to get the key, it could open a portal through time and space with no end to the worlds he could destroy. "

He then pushes the younger Apes arm that holds the Transwarp Key into the younger Ape's chest. The younger Ape has a face full of sadness and confusion. Apelinq simply puts his head on the younger Apes head to comfort him. They both close their eyes as Apelinq says " It is now your time to lead the Maximals, Optimus Primal." Gently, Apelinq takes his hand off the newly crowned Primal, who looks on in sadness. Apelinq stands his ground as the other Maximals flee from the scene. We see a black silhouette in the woods with red lights beaming from the darkness as it walks toward Apelinq.

"So, you are this planet's greatest warrior?" It questions Apelinq who activates his arm blades. The silhouette continues "You have such a beautiful world filled with an abundance of life. Savory. " Then the silhouette exists from the darkness and reveals Scourge, the grey Terracon from earlier. Apelinq steadies himself and paces around Scourge. Scourge continues. " My master grows hungry. Give me the Transwarp Key and he will spare your own." Scourge finishes as he stands in front of the Ape, behind him you can see a tower with four large arms protruding from it.

Apelinq stands defiantly "We'd rather die than let him reach other planets." The two square off as Scourge's large claw hand spins ferociously. " So be it." Apelinq pounds on his chest and launches himself into the air, with the plan to pound on Scourge, Scourge blocks, but Apelinq follows up with a smack to his chest. Apelinq jumps into the air again to ground pound Scourge, however, Scourge was prepared and has an arm blade appear from his arm, and he stabs Apelinq in the chest. Apelinq gasped in pain as Scourge's claw hand then charges up and blasted Apelinq in the face, removing much of his armor, as the ape falls to the ground in defeat, Scourge removes his Maximal emblem from his shoulder. 'Benefits of serving the almighty Unicron."

He then starts sealing the emblem on his shoulder with his laser, as he finishes, he says " They never learn". "You're too late, Scourge." Scourge turns to the dying Apelinq. Your master will be trapped in this galaxy forever." Scourge looks back to the tower from earlier and sees a ship flying from it escape the planet. "No!" Scourge says as he watches the ship fly away. From inside the ship, we see Primal look down at their home world as it starts to become smaller to him. From behind him, the Bird speaks "His sacrifice will be our own. To preserve the key. No matter the cost." Primal lowers his head in sadness as he remembers his friend. Their ship lightspeeds its way out of the galaxy and we see it approaching a familiar blue planet: Earth.

"You let them slip away with the Transwarp Key?" We see inside the metallic ship and see many strange robotic creatures inside. Scourge is bowing to giant round orange eyes. It speaks again "Scour the universe and find the Maximals have gone. When you acquire the key, use it to bring me to you." "Yes, my lord" Scourge replies. Scourge stands before Unicron " Once I have the key, I alone will reign supreme!". Unicron claws extend from his round body as he begins to suck in the planet into his giant hole. The rocks then begin to form words that say:

Transformers Prime: Rise of The Beast

We are now on Earth, millions of years into the past. In a desert no less, we see a blue femme pinning a grey mech with his wings tied. This femme's name is Arcee, an Autobot, and the mech's name is Starscream, a Decepticon. Both are their respective alignments second in the command, well in Starscream's case former Second in Command. Both Autobots and Decepticons come from the planet Cybertron, and both factions have waged a war that has spanned countless eons. The Decepticons led by their leader Megatron, fight for "peace through tyranny". The Autobots fight for "freedom which is the right of all sentient beings".

During the war on Cybertron, Arcee was captured and tortured by a Decepticon named Airachnid. Arcee was brave however, and would not give up the attack coordinates, and was prepared to die for the Autobot's cause. However, Airachnid captured and killed her partner and soon-to-be Sparkmate, Tailgate, a bot whom Arcee has known since sparkling hood. Though she was rescued by Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, Arcee was never the same. She was always tough, but she was cheerful, easygoing, and a kind-hearted young femme with a temper to boot. However, after Tailgate's death, she was more reserved, brooding, and less outgoing.

However, she got close to Cliffjumper. While it took a while, she began to open herself up to having a partner again. But then he was taken from her as well, and now the mech responsible was within her grasp. Her arm blade up ready to finish the job. Starscream with a terrified expression pleads "Go on, do it. Megatron will only terminate me for treason If I dare return to the Decepticons. You may as well be the one to put me out of my misery."

" As if I needed convincing", Arcee says with much venom and hatred. Starscream, the coward begins begging for his life, begging for mercy, the mercy he didn't show Cliffjumper. But Arcee doesn't hear, all she's thinking of is finally having her vengeance. She was going to do it, but then she senses a familiar presence. She looks up and sees her friend and teammate Bumblebee. Bee stares at Arcee with his big blue eyes, and she can tell he's disappointed. She lets go of Starscream and begins stumbling away from him, but then she falls. Her wounds started to catch up with her. Bumblebee slides down past Starscream, who is walking away, to Arcee. He turns her over and spots her injury. He sees that she's passed out. He puts his servos up to the side of his head "(Ratchet we need a ground bridge)".

Nemesis

Inside the Nemesis, we see The Decepticon's leader Megatron fuming in anger. He has just lost his second in command to the Autobots. And knowing Starscream, he will squeal. As he is walking down the hallway, he suddenly stops, his eyes wide as he is seemingly transported to a purplish dark area. Standing in front of him is Scourge. " Hello, brother." Scourge greets,

Megatron snarls, " I have no brother." Scourge simply chuckles, " We are brothers, in more ways than one. We share the blood and power of my master, our master, Unicron."

Megatron eyes widen. "The Chaos Bringer"

Scourge nods " The very same."

Megatron ponders this and then he asks, " And what would The Chaos Bringer, want with me"? Scourge stops walking and replies, " What do you know of The Transwarp Key?" Megatron answers " Only that it has the power to travel through time and space." Scourge nods " Correct, our Master is trapped in the future. He has eaten everything, and he is hungry. He needs to get to this time."

" To feed" Megatron questions.

" Yes, but also to reunite." Megatron's eyebrows are raised. " You see Unicron, is lonely, and he wants to share in his conquest, so who better to share this with than himself? He just needs to devour Earth and he will be unstoppable." Megaton asks, " But why Earth specifically?"

" To free himself of course". Megatron's eyes widen. Scourge chuckles " Now you're catching on". Megatron thinks this through and then says " Surely Unicron knows that such help doesn't come without a price." Scourge's optic twitches ever so slightly before he turns to Megatron, " You help bring my master, and you will have The Key?"

Megatron smirks

Back at Jasper Nevada, above the Autobot base, Arcee sat alone beside Cliff's makeshift grave. She was staring out at the sunset. She then heard a familiar set of footsteps coming from behind. Bumblebee sat right next to her.

" I don't want to talk about it." Arcee cut in before the Scout could ask. "( I know)". She turns to look at him skeptically. " (But you didn't leave me when I was going through my guilt of bringing back ol' Bucket Head. So, I won't leave you)". Arcee simply turned back to look at the sunset. Taking in the view, and her best friend's words and presence.

She found that for now, it was just enough for her.
