I'm back, and finally updating. I will update as much as possible. I am writing this on writers block (which i seem to have a lot lately haha) I hope you all like it. As usual I own nothing but Jessica Jarrett all other characters are owned by their rightful owners.
"I love you," those three words were my undoing. I smiled shyly and a small blush came to my cheeks as his lips pressed into my shoulder and traveled up to my lips. I wrapped my arms his waist as he…then I woke up. My breathing was ragged, my cheeks were burning with a blush, and it only got worse when I realized that Kyra and Kody were sitting on the floor next to my bed watching me.
"Who do you love?" Kyra asked tilting her head slightly.
"What?" I asked with a small squeak in my voice as I sat up.
Kody giggled "You said I love you when you were sleeping. Who were you talking to?"
"No one," I was sure my face was the color of red on the American Flag; oh how ironic that it would be that color seeing the colors of the wrestling gear that my dream man wears.
"Guys," Kurt's head appeared in the doorway. He gave me a smile then lifted his eyebrow and asked "Why is your face so red?"
My eyes widened, I spun around, and hurried into the bathroom. I could hear Kurt's laugh even after I had turned on the shower.
It had been a week since Karen, Jeff, Kurt, and I had had our interesting conversation over the phone about Kody and Kyra when Kurt had two days off and decided to head to Tennessee a few days early before he had to appear at a house show so he could talk to Karen face to face.
The moment I stepped into my brother's house I was greeted by Joslyn, Jeryn, and Jaclyn. I wrapped my arms around them tightly and kissed each of their heads. "Oh my beautiful nieces, we have so much to catch up on." I said as they led me into the living room.
"Um actually Jess, Karen and I were wondering if you get help us and Kurt for a minute or two." Jeff said from where he stood in the doorway.
I looked up at him and nodded slowly "Um sure, girls I'll be right back." I followed Jeff up to his office to where Karen and Kurt were waiting quietly.
"So obviously you two know that Karen is pregnant." Jeff started taking his seat behind his desk. "There's actually something we need to ask of the two of you." He motioned toward Kurt and I.
Kurt frowned "And what would that be?" he asked crossing his arms against his chest.
Jeff cleared his throat and said "We were wondering if maybe you, Kurt, could take Kyra and Kody on the road with you more often later on in Karen's pregnancy then there for a while after the baby is born to try and limit stress." My big brother looked at me and said "We want you to travel with Kurt for now on whenever the kids go with him."
"Jeff I do have a life you know." I said before thinking I looked at Kurt and quickly said "Not that I hate spending time around you Kurt, its just that I do have my music career and I need time too."
Kurt nodded in agreement "WE can't always expect Jesse to drop everything just so she can play nanny for us."
Karen laughed "Oh please, like she wouldn't do it if she stayed here in Tennessee. She's always going around the house trying to boss the older three kids as if they're her own."
"Shut up Karen!" I blurted landing a slap to her face "They have been my girls since the day they were born! Hell! I was Jeryn's surrogate mother!" then I spun around on my heels and walked from the room. I ran down the stairs, and out the front door.
"Jess wait!" Jeff yelled running after me probably hoping I would go back inside.
I wasn't going back into the house. I ran into the garage and over to my blue motorcycle. I threw on my helmet, and sped off of the property. I had finally had enough of Karen, and was tired of all the confusing feelings sweeping through me over and about Kurt Angle.
I don't know how much I had to drink. One moment I pulled up outside the Nashville bar, and the next thing I knew I could barely remember my name; at least my problems were far away at the moment.
I had just finished another beer when a hand landed on my shoulder. I looked up but was too drunk to see through the drunken haze who was standing behind me.
"Lets get out of here," or at least that's what I think that's what the voice said.
I stumbled to my feet and strong arms wrapped around my waist. The man smelled of beer as well, but definitely not as much as I did. I let him lead me out of the bar and to a car. I was jumpy and giddy and was not thinking rationally at all as I leaned over and pressed my lips to his.
The rest of the of the night was a blur.
I woke up the next morning in a comfy hotel bed with sunlight hitting my face. I opened my eyes and groaned as the headache sat in, followed shortly after by the nausea. "Oh god,"
A laugh sounded from somewhere close "You're fault for getting trashed." Shit! That voice!
I bolted up right in bed and found Kurt standing at the foot of the bed. "Kurt! Did we…we didn't…did we?"
"No of course not. You were too drunk for me to do that." Kurt answered with a shrug
I could feel my face heating up and dropped my head into my hands. I was so embarrassed. I rarely drank, and I definitely never, ever went home with anyone when I was drunk.
"You don't drink very often Jess." Kurt said…I think as a way to stop us from falling silent. "I'm taking Kyra and Kody on the road with me, and I really hate to ask you this…its just that the kids really like you, and I don't have time right now to look for a nanny that isn't going to kidnap them or something…"
"Kurt," I interrupted holding my hand up as I looked back up at him. "I'll travel with you and the kids. It's better than being near Karen and Jeff during the pregnancy." I mumbled the last part.
He sighed in relief "Thank you Jess," he hugged me gently before sitting down on the bed beside me. "You should probably get ready to go. I'll take ya to get your bike so you can go home or whatever. I don't have the kids for about two weeks, so you're free from me." He laughed lightly
I smiled despite how nauseous I was feeling before standing up and slipping into the bathroom.
I made it home about an hour later. As I walked through the door I was met by the five kids who started talking excitedly about their mornings and what their plans for the rest of the day were. I smiled, nodded, and commented when I was expected to. I had missed them so much even the two Angle children who I had spent so much time with over the previous few weeks.
As we sat in the living room, Jeff and Karen came in and sat quietly on the couch. Whispering every now and then as they looked down at Karen's stomach. I sighed and threw a small smile toward the other kids who had seen the exchange and were looking back and forth between themselves with a look of sadness.
I shook my head as I managed to get everyone's attention back onto the game of Monopoly we were playing. If my brother and his wife didn't do something soon, Joslyn, Jaclyn, Jeryn, Kyra, and Kody were all going to hate their newest siblings guts.
So? Review and Tell me what you think please. It is appreciated a lot! Thank you.
