I don't own the clique series!
Hope you enjoy my story anyway!
14-year-old Massie Block sat in Starbucks with two of her very best friends. Kristen Gregory sat next to Claire Lyons, comforting her. "I'm sorry that Cam dumped you for Olivia Ryan." She hugged her close.
Dylan Marvil stepped up to the table that they were sitting at. "What's going on?"
Massie looked over at her. "Cam broke up with Claire."
At the mention of his name, Claire burst into tears. Then Massie's boyfriend, Derrick Harrington, walked in with his friends trailing behind him. Cam was there too. Claire wanted to look into both of his eyes. First the green one, and then the blue one.
But she knew if she did, she would start crying all over again. "Mass, I've got to go. I can't be here right now."
Massie reached over and squeezed her friends hand. "Gon on. It's okay." She said, smiling at Claire.
Claire got up and threw away the rest of her coffee. Not because she didn't want it. It was only because she knew that if she took another sip, she would most definitely barf.
She'd made it halfway through the door, when someone grabbed her arm. She turned around to see Cam, grasping her arm. She jerked her arm out of his grip and glared at him. "Leave me alone." She snapped.
She walked out the door and Cam followed her. "Can we at least talk?"
"No, I don't want to talk. There isn't anything to talk about." She cried. This only made him jerk on her arm, so he could get her to just stop and listen to him for a second. She whirled around and glared at him. "Don't you do that ever again, Cameron Fisher!"
By now, she had big fat tears rolling down her cheeks. She stuck on her headphones and started to cross the road, to where Issaac was waiting for them in the Blocks' black SUV.
She didn't even hear the eighteen wheeler honk. She felt Cam, pulling her to safety. She could hear him yelling and she could feel him holding her close.
The last thing she saw before she blacked out was the scared look on Cam's face. But it wasn't just scared, he looked afraid.
Like he was afraid he would lose her.
When she came to, all she saw was a room full of people, but she didn't know who they were.
The brown haired girl kneeled down next to her. "Hi, do you know who I am?" Claire shook her head. "Do you recognize any of these people?"
One of the girls had brown hair (sort of like the girl in front of her right now) and looked like she was from Spain. Another one of the girls had blonde hair, but it was more dirty blonde than regular blonde.
The last girl had red hair and was eating something that looked like one of those weight candy bars.
She looked over across the room and saw a pack of boys, leaning against the wall.
One of them had blonde hair and was wearing shorts.
Another one of the boys had brown hair and brown eyes. He was standing close to the girl with brown hair and holding her hand.
The last boy had black wavy hair and different colored eyes. One was blue and the other one was green.
"I'm sorry. I don't remember any of you." Claire felt bad that she couldn't tell who they were.
The boy with the different colored eyes walked up to her Hosptial bed, looking sad. "Not even me?" She shook her head. "Maybe you will."
Claire got a confused look on her face. "How?" She questioned.
"By this." He leaned forward and caught her lips in a kiss.
A jolt shocked throughout her entire body, as memories flooded in her head. She quickly pulled away, rubbing her temple. "Ouch!" She cried.
"Claire, are you okay?" Cam asked, sounding concerned.
Claire smiled up at him. "Cam, I'm fine."
He smiled, both of his eyes lighting up. "That's good." He said, but then his mouth dropped open. "Hold on, I never told you what my name is."
Claire grinned. "My memory came back!" She exclaimed, grinning.
Massie screeched, along with Alicia, Dylan, and Kristen. They ran over to her, hugging her.
"Do ya'll mind going outside? I'd like to talk to Claire. Alone." Cam said.
"Come on, guys." Derrick said, as he put his arm around Massie.
Once they were out the door, Cam sat down on the hospital bed across from her. "Well, what do you want?" Claire asked.
He just grinned at her. His eyes shined bright, just like a pair of diamonds. "You can drop the act, you know." He smirked at her.
"W-w-what act?" She stuttered. Had he really caught on to her that fast? Hmm, I guess Massie wasn't lying when she said she couldn't act. Oh well.
"That you don't still like me." He grinned at her. "I could feel it in the way you kissed me back. You care and you love me. Just as much as I do."
Claire looked down at the floor, avoiding his gaze. He reached over and grabbed her chin, leaning closer to her.
They leaned closer and closer until their lips touched. After nearly a month of not talking to or kissing him, it felt amazing.
They pulled apart and grinned at each other, happy to be back in this position once again. But something struck her brain that she had to set straight. "But what about Olivia?"
"What about her? Just a week into hanging out with her, I dumped her."
"Why?" Claire was very curious.
Cam sighed. "Because. She's so ditzy and I didn't like her as much as I love you." Cam just stared right into Claire's cornflower blue eyes. "I'm so sorry for hurting you in the Starbucks parking lot. I never would've pulled on your arm if you'd just stopped and listened to me."
"Well, I was still kind of upset that you dumped me for Olivia." Claire said.
"I know that I was wrong for dumping you, Claire and Olivia knew that I liked you more and she was jealous of you."
Claire felt shocked to hear those words in the same sentence. "Olivia? Jealous of me? Me, Claire Lyons?"
"Yeah, she even told me!"
Claire just couldn't believe it. "Excuse me, but are you saying that Olivia Ryan is jealous of me? The one who gets nose jobs weekly to make herself look like famous people?"
"Yeah." Cam grinned. "She's really jealous of you."
"Wow, I'm so surprised." Claire grinned, hugging Cam close. They stayed in a close embrace for the rest of the day, just enjoying each others company.
