Chapter 11- Heading Home

"You think she's still alive, buddy?"

"She's making weird faces, Natsu!"

"…"

"I'M NOT WEIRD, you damn cat!"

"Gahhhh"

"GET BACK HERE!"

"Natsu help! Lushy's gonna eat me!"

"HAHAHA!"

"Say Lucy" said Natsu. Dusting off his pants, his face turned a little green when he saw a wet map of drool on the pants surface, probably from Lucy when she fell asleep on his leg. "What are you going to do now?"

Lucy looked at the boy, gripping Happy's tail to prevent him from going anywhere. She looked down on her bare feet, thinking of getting a foot spa and a nice pedicure. "Ummm, do you know any spa on where you're from Natsu?" she inquired.

Natsu cocked his head at the side looking at her quizzically. After several seconds, a wide breath-taking grin left his face. "I knew it! You're coming with us, right Luce!" he said pumping his hand on the air.

"Of course, do you want to want to leave me here?" she said with a sweet smile.

"No, of course not! I just thought I'll have one hell of convincing to do, just to get you to come with us" he said.

"Wha- what about me?!" Happy asked, alligator tears spilling on his furry cheeks.

"Eh? I thought you're already coming with me buddy" Natsu beamed. Happy flew and glomped Natsu's face with reverie.

"It's just that, no talking nor flying while on the mainland" Natsu took Happy by the arms, looking at him at arm's length. Happy just nod his head, too happy to say anything.

"What do you mean Natsu? Why can't Happy do those things?" Lucy asked confused.

"Well, it's different now." Natsu scratched him head as he sat down on the wooden surface of the tree. Lucy following suit takes Happy by the arms and dumped him on her lap.

"For example, Happy's species was extinct." Happy shuddered while Lucy's mouth dropped.

"And unlike you guys, magic simply doesn't exist" Natsu whispered. "Well not anymore."

"I don't understand" Lucy said while patting Happy's head. "What do you mean vanished? It's magic, it can be gone!" Lucy shrieked.

"Well, I don't fully understand it myself" he huffed. "That's why we need you, you're the answer to our prayers Luce" he looked at her, his eyes heavy and brooding.

Lucy blushed and tucked her hair behind her ear, hugging Happy close by. "Then does that mean that I'm the last mage?" she muttered. "I'm scared."

"Don't be" Natsu grinned. "We're a team now! You, Happy and I, we're all in this together. Nobody can lay a finger on you as long as I'm here" he beamed at them, his hair shining in the sunlight.

"Team Natsu eh," she whispered to herself. Natsu seemed to catch her voice laughed aloud "Yeah! I like that. From now on, we're gonna be Team Natsu."

"Aye" Happy chorused flying off Lucy's warmth.

Lucy laughed, wiping off the stray tears on her eyes. She stood up stretching her arms up into the air unaware of Natsu who is eyeing her intensely. She lowered her head catching Natsu's eye on her and she blushed. Startled Natsu suddenly turned his face on the side to shield his reddening face. "W-we should get back" he stammered, while he slowly stands up.

Lucy giggled, in the past; the Natsu she knew seldom shows his flush or any form of embarrassment. He will just do something stupid or make a brawl to hide his indignity. But now, he's a little different. "I'm gonna love this", she smiled evilly watching at the back of his head.

"Na-natsu! Lucy is making that weird face again" Happy suddenly shivered from his perch.

"Quiet! Cat!" Lucy scorned, crossing her arms on her chest, unknowingly making her breast pump out even further, her eyes catching Natsu gulped at the side. "He's doing it again. Huh!" she snicked.

"Hey Natsu!" she yelled watching the boy slapped his cheeks. Natsu looked at her, blush still apparent on his cheeks "So you're telling me, you're not a mage?" she asked.

"Er, no" he now turned to her fully while walking backwards.

"So you're not a dragonslayer, huh? I wonder if the past Natsu ever found Igneel" she wondered, walking next to him.

"What? dragonslayer? Igneel? I'm a mage!?" he stopped his eyes widening. "You mean slaying dragon and stuff! I had a cool magic?" he gushed fast, excited on what his hearing.

"Sure, you were a fire dragonslayer. You had awesome nickname namely Salamander" she smiled while eyeing his revitalized face. She spun to him, walking backwards while Happy is perched on her head.

His face slowly inflaming from excitement. "And you know what?" she bent her head slightly on the side, a smile playing on her lips.

"What! What!" Natsu cried, while tapping his foot on the ground.

"Your father is a dragon, a real live dragon named Igneel!" she roared, laughing internally.

Natsu's eyes widen, his jaw became slack, and his hands clutched at the side quivering. He suddenly jumps, laughing and crying at the same time. His face beamed with a blush caressing his cheeks. "Wow! Luce! Wow. Wha- why? I wan- , why… now, the...past" he mumbled fast while clutching his hair, excitement filled his eyes. "A real dragon, wow! The past me must be so awesome! That he can… fire… slayer…"

Lucy and Happy laughed watching the boy's antics. Lucy now smiled, evilly this time,"now for my final trick".

"It's just that…" she starts innocently, turning her body at front, a wicked smile on her lips.

"What!" Natsu pumped his hand in front looking at Lucy's back expectantly.

"Your hair is still pink!" she said, glancing at the boy behind her. And just like that, Natsu froze, his face burned so bright, it's like looking at a kettle reached its boiling point. It's like steamed came out of his ears from sheer embarrassment.

Turning Lucy laughed so hard that her side started to hurt. She ran so fast that Happy grasped her hair to prevent from falling.

"That was mean Lucy" Happy giggled, Lucy just laughed harder than before.

In one epic moment a loud roar can be heard inside the heart of Tenrou.

"IT'S SALMON DANG IT!"

"You mean it Lucy-san! I can have this books?" Levy asked excitedly.

"Of course, I mean it's yours anyway" Lucy smiled.

"What do you mean?" Levy asked confused.

"Well, looked at the last page" she said. "When you asked me for my books, I immediately noticed those cause I don't remember having them"

Levy nodded her head and slowly opens the book. Inside, written in clear print reads Levy Mcgarden. She gasped and reads the text over and over again in sheer wonder. She slowly look up at Lucy and said "Is this my past name?"

Lucy simply nodded her, her eyes glace with tears while she remembers her best friend. The bookworm and ever loyal Levy Mcgarden.

"I don't believe it! Its just so amazing" she said excitedly. Her smile slowly fades when she looks at the girl in front of her, seeing her tears.

"I'm sorry Lucy-san. I didn't mean to be so-"

"Its alright. I'm fine. It just really hard to adjust seeing all of your familiar faces and-" she sniffled. A warm hand grasped her shoulder, calming her. She looked and noticed Natsu with a warm smile. "Hey no more tears. You looked weird when you cry."

"Hey!" But instead of getting angry she chucked. "Yeah you're right"

" Hey Levy once when hauled everything in this cabin. Can we return home?" he asked.

"Yes of course" Levy replied baffled. "What happened between those two" she thought "I never seen that look on Natsu's face before"

"Yosh called the others Levy, cause we have a house to move."

"Aye!" Happy replied, flying inside the house with Natsu following.

Levy giggled and was about to use the communicator when she notice Lucy, calmly wiping her tears. "Hey Lucy-san, sorry about earlier. I was just so excited when I saw the books by the window. And when I saw you came with Happy. I-I just lost it. Its rude of me to ask you for your books and not about you. "

"Its fine, I usually do that too. I love reading" she said.

"But-"

"Its okay Levy-chan, er... -san" Lucy stuttered.

"No, no its fine! I actually love it. In return can I call you Lu-chan?" she blushed at her question.

"Levy-chan... " Lucy whispered. "I like that". Aloud crash suddenly ruin their moment followed by a voice called "Oh, look Happy a wicked scarf" and a "Natsu, what's with this weird looking panties?"

A wild blush erupted from Lucy's cheeks " Natsu! Happy! Quit looking at my stuff!" she yelled, storming inside the house.

Levy snicked "Yep, definitely the first time"

Ne, Natsu remember when we first started Team Natsu? It was Plue's idea that time. I wonder if this Natsu in the future can understand Plue's language...hmmm...

Ne, did you found out about Igneel? You wanted to see your father at that time, that you practically spend your life looking for him.

Ne, Natsu... I miss you.
