As I was looking at the girl I had to ask the most obvious question "Who are you?"
That seemed to make the small girl angry because she bit out "Who am I? Who are you?"
Trying to calm the girl down I smiled at her "Hey I'm sorry. My name is Kakashi Hatake and I am a Jonin ninja for the village hidden in the leaves. Now you are?"
She looked at me like she was seeing if I was worthy or not. Then she seemed to notice my headband because she gasped and pointed at it. "Hey I've seen some of the dogs wearing these around the castle lately. So you must be their summoner… err… contractor, sorry. They speak very highly of you Kakashi. I'm sorry I had just been under the impression that I wasn't able to be summoned." She bowed slightly to me "My name is Kagome … Higurashi, nice to meet you Kakashi." Then she sent me the most genuine smile I've ever seen.
"Not to be rude or anything, but I was not trying to summon you. I was trying to summon Pakkun. Where is he exactly?" I asked her.
"Pakkun? Hmmm let me see. Pakkun, Pakkun…. OH! He's the little pug with the same headband as you right?" I nodded at her "Oh he is really busy right now, well we all are. There are some territory issues going on at the moment and there are mountains of paperwork to be done. Most of the dogs are running paperwork back and forth. I wonder why I came here instead of Pakkun though. You know I should be thanking you, you got me away from all that paperwork. He thinks that just because I help him keep things peaceful it's alright to give me all of his paperwork! I mean really this morning I woke up to my entire room filled with paperwork and I couldn't leave my room until I finished all of it."
I watched slightly amused as the girl ranted. There were things I was curious about though. She mentioned a castle and territory problems. It makes me curious about what she was talking about. Pakkun never mentioned anything like that before. How can there be that much paperwork? She was walking back and forth her arms going all over the place to emphasize her rant. A flurry of emotions crossing her face, it was almost comical. This girl could almost beat Naruto in her overdramaticness. I decided that I was late enough to my students, but first I had to stop this girl's rant.
I cleared my throat at her and surprisingly she stopped almost instantly, looking at me questioningly. I forgot her name so I continued "Uh, girl, I need to get going to teach my students. So if you would like I can stop the summon and you can go home."
The girl's eyes darkened "My name is Kagome. Ka-go-me. It is three syllables. Learn them love them use them." Then she seemed to switch emotions because now she was depressed "I don't want to go back yet, going back means more paperwork. That's all I've been doing all week." Emotion switch again, this time excited "Oh I know, can I watch you train your students?"
"Well, Kagome, I don't see why not. But I do have two questions before I let you near my students."
She raised an eyebrow at me "Alright, shoot."
"First question, if I was summoning my dog ninja how did I accidentally summon a human girl?"
Her face took on an amused look "Wait a minute you think I'm human?"
"Are you not? You look like a human to me."
Then an understanding look showed up this time and her hand went to the ribbon tied around her neck. "Oh that's just because of this ribbon, it makes me appear human. I assure you that I am a dog."
Now it was my turn to raise an eyebrow at her, "Really?"
She sighed "Yes really, now what is your second question?"
I smiled at her "Do you have any intention to bringing harm to my students?"
She looked at me shocked, then started laughing "No, I assure you that I will not harm your students. I've been wanting to meet them actually. Pakkun and the rest of his pack said that they were quite interesting."
I hummed in agreement "Yes interesting is definitely one way to describe them."
Suddenly the girl latched herself onto my arm, she was looking up at me excited once more. "Well come on, let's get going!"
I sighed and ran a hand, the one she wasn't attached to, through my hair "Alright follow me." I sighed again as she smiled up at me happily.
