"You want to help me? Train these three?" She nodded eagerly at me, what is with this girl? "Are you even capable of helping in a ninja's training?"
She narrowed her eyes at me like I was insulting her. Then she smirked at me. She walked behind Naruto and wrapped her arms around his neck laying her head on his shoulder. Naruto was very obviously flustered, Sasuke looks angry but he always looks angry, and Sakura looked shocked. "I can assure you that I am more than capable of helping with the training of these three pups." As soon as she said that she disappeared. My eyes widened slightly in shock. I didn't know where she went until I felt her breath on my ear. Somehow she had gotten behind me without me noticing not many people can do that. "I have studied under people that would make this Hokage of yours look like a beginner." Then she bounced in front of me and seemed to switch personalities because now in a bubbly voice she said "So how can I help?"
This girl is good. What I want to know is how a girl who is younger than I am is able to sneak up on me. I need to keep a close eye on her. I also need to find out what she said to Naruto earlier that made him react like he did. "Well if you really feel like helping," I smiled thinking she would back out after was I was going to say "you can just take my place today and act as their teacher. It'll give me the day off."
"Really!?" she squealed at me. Thinking she was scared to take on a roll like that I nodded at her. What I did not expect was her jumping in place, clapping her hands, and smiling like an idiot. "That's great! I've always wanted students of my own. That stupid fluffy jerk never let me though." She seemed to contemplate for a bit before continuing "I guess Shippo was a student in a way, but he is more like a son than anything." She turned to Naruto "You would get along famously with Shippo. You have a lot in common." Then she winked at him just like she did when she whispered something to him.
For some reason Naruto lite up "Really?"
"Yeah, if I get the chance ever I'll introduce you two."
"Why wouldn't you get the chance?"
"Well you see I'm not from around here and my being here was a bit of an accident. So I'm not sure if I'll be able to come back after today not to mention bring somebody back with me." She seemed somewhat sad about it.
"Well where are you from if you can't come back?" Sakura asked her.
She flinched slightly and looked over at me. I realized she was asking me if it was alright if she said the truth or not. She is a weird girl. I figured it wouldn't hurt anything so I nodded at her. She sent me a grateful smile. I realized that she hadn't wanted to lie, but would have if I had told her no.
"Well you see I'm not from this dimension. Kakashi accidentally summoned me here when he tried to summon his ninja dog. Both me and his dog Pakkun live in the same area. We live in the west under Lord Sesshomaru's reign."
Naruto ran in front of her "Have you been to the frog's area?"
She looked at him confused "Frog's area?"
"Yeah Pervy Sage is training me how to summon frogs. Do they come from the same place you do?"
Understanding flashed over her face "Oh yeah they come from the same dimension, all summons live in the same dimension. They don't come from the western territory though. I think the frogs live in the east territory."
"So cool!" I'll have to introduce you to Pervy Sage before you leave. You'll have to watch out for his pervy ways though."
She smiled at him like one would a son or younger sibling "Alright, we can go after your training. I'll have to leave right after that though. I don't want to stay away too long or who knows what Sesshy will do to me." She shivered slightly, that must be the person who trained her.
A gleam went through her eyes "Now who is ready to do some training?" I already felt sorry for these kids, with that look you can tell that they in for something difficult. All three of them seemed pretty excited though, even Sasuke which is surprising in itself. Even more now with that mark on his neck. Then she said something so quiet only I was able to hear it. "Finally I can put someone through hell and not be the one going through it." She gave a small evil laugh and started shepherding my three students away.
I gave a shrug Naruto and Sasuke need the extra training with the final round of the Chunin exam coming up. Sakura can always use extra training as well. Today was one of the few breaks I was giving Sasuke from his Chidori training. We were going to train together to get some teamwork training in, but oh well. I could use a lazy day. Smiling to myself I pulled out my favorite book, sat down underneath the shade of a tree, and started reading. After about an hour I put my book away and closed my eyes for a short nap. I woke up three hours later and they still were not back, huh she was really taking this seriously. I pulled my book back out and started reading again. Two more hours later it was four o'clock and I saw them coming back. It did indeed look like they went through hell. They were dirty and bruised and each and every one of them looked completely exhausted. Sasuke looked even more tired than the Chidori practice I had been putting him through, which is saying a lot with him. He was trying to hide it from his fellow teammates though.
Once they got in front of me Naruto and Sakura collapsed. Sasuke slowly sank to the ground. Kagome just smiled at me "So how was your lazy day?"
"It was fine, I got some sleep in and got further into my book." I told her.
She smiled at me again "Well that is good. We should do this again sometime if you are able to summon me back here again."
"NO!" Naruto and Sakura yelled at me, Sasuke's eyes widened in slight fear. What in the world did she do to them?
Kagome giggled at their reaction "Oh toughen up you guys, that has been my warm up for many years now. You get used to it eventually."
"How does anybody get used to something like that?" Sakura asked her incredulously.
"Seriously how do you get used to that?" Naruto asked her.
"Just who is your teacher?" Sasuke asked curiously. Hmm I might have to actually watch their training session next time, if there is a next time.
Kagome shrugged "My teacher is the Lord of the west, Sesshomaru. Well not that you would know who that is anyway, the worlds split way before any of you were born. Close to 200 years now, I don't think any of the Lords would be in any scrolls anymore. I think they were all destroyed when the worlds got split."
Now I was curious "What do you mean the worlds split?"
She looked up at me "Oh right you wouldn't know about it if it wasn't written down. About 200 years ago humans and demons got in a very large war. Humans had decided that they had enough of demons and started the war to kill them all off. The thing was demons were an important part of the world, they were connected to nature itself. If all of the demons were killed, nature itself would also be destroyed. That would make a domino effect destroying the whole world. So the Kami's stepped in and saved the remaining demons. The Kami's split the worlds, she gave the earth which you live on to the humans. They gave the new world to the demons, but the new world is still connected to this world. The connection was given in the form of summoning scrolls. The humans with talent, which would become to be known ninja, would be able to summon us demons in their times of needs. It made a perfect solution that saved many people's lives."
"Demons?" Naruto asked with a slight waver to his voice.
"Yeah, didn't you know you were all summoning demons? Kakashi you are summoning dog demons and Naruto you are learning how to summon frog demons. Wow you didn't know what you were summoning? You actually thought that you were summoning real animals that talked?" What she said made sense, but at the same time it was hard to believe that there were more than nine demons in the world.
Kagome turned to Naruto "You wanted to introduce me to your other teacher?"
Naruto snapped out of his shock and all of his lost energy came back to him "Oh yeah. Come on I'll introduce you to Pervy Sage." He started walking back towards town and the other two started to go off on their own.
Kagome spoke up to stop one of them though "Sasuke."
Sasuke stopped and turned to face her "What?"
She smiled at him "I want you to join us alright?"
"Why?" yeah that is a really good question, what would she want with Sasuke?
"I need to discuss something with you before I leave and I don't want to go through the trouble of chasing you down." Sasuke sighed and instead of walking away like he would in any other situation he started following her and Naruto. What in the world did she do during that training session to get Sasuke to listen to her? I can barely get him to listen to me.
I decided that I needed to see more interaction between the two of them, and just maybe pick up a few tricks from her. "You won't mind if I tag along do you?" I asked innocently.
She didn't even bat an eye "No not at all Kakashi, by all means come along."
Sakura said that she was just way too tired to do anything else today went home to get some sleep. Naruto, Sasuke, Kagome, and I went to go and find Jiraiya.
