CHAPTER 1: THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF UCHIHAs

"Man, you're really out of your mind! If your father finds out about this, you're done! You know how much he despises the Uzumaki's, let alone Karin who's known for fucking rich businessmen." Shikamaru lets out a dramatic sigh as he forcefully drops the newspaper on Sasuke's table.

Shikamaru plops down on the seat across Sasuke as he watches him rub his temples out of frustration and grimaces at the picture of him and his 'rumored girlfriend' sucking each other's faces at the entrance of Konoha Hotel.

This is the last thing that Sasuke wants to read early in the morning, another news of his whereabouts that should've been kept private. But boy does he know that would be impossible, he will never get the privacy he direly needs especially because…

He's an heir of the most successful software business in Konoha with branches worldwide, other than being an heir, he's known for his godly beauty that runs in the Uchiha's, making him an asset for the Sharingan, many modeling agencies tried to get a hold of him, but that's just not Sasuke's cup of tea. He is also known for being a young prodigy, excelled in school and finished college at just 18… but that didn't turn out well. Right after he finished college, he realized how much he missed a lot of fun things for focusing too much in academics and pleasing his father, that he went bat crazy after finding out he can get any girls he wants and drink as many alcohol as he can, which the media then branded him as the Disappointment of Uchihas, he didn't like the title, but eh, he was having fun.

A harsh knock on the door of Sasuke's office broke them in their trance, and there Sasuke's dreaded moment stormed in with a look that was pretty much etched in his mind every time he screwed up.

"What the hell is wrong with you!" Shikamaru abruptly stands up as Uchiha Fugaku's voice echoes through the room. Sasuke on the other hand remained seated with his head down, ready to listen to his father's rampage.

Sasuke barely listens to what his father says and instead looks everywhere but his father's eyes. He has heard and memorized what his father was about to say a million times and all of it were just empty threats. He remembered hearing it the first time, 2 years ago, and his script has not changed ever since.

When things like these happen, Sasuke couldn't help but blame his older brother, Itachi, for leaving him and marrying at a young age to get away from his father's scrutiny and being an heir. Itachi never wanted that life, and Sasuke thinks he's too selfish for giving the burden to his little brother, and he hates and curses him for it. They have not spoken ever since he left to marry.

"I guess it's time you settle down." Fugaku's last words caught Sasuke's attention. 'This is new, I haven't heard these words before.' He thought.

"By settling down, you mean…" Shikamaru interrupted his thoughts. Sasuke looked up at both of them, his father with his signature scowl and Shikamaru looking perplexed.

"This is none of your business, Nara." Fugaku snapped.

"Well Sasuke, your dearest son, is technically my business because I am his assistant and advisor, so…" Shikamaru answered sarcastically. That is why Sasuke is glad he had Shikamaru, not only does he make a good job at keeping him in check, but he's also not afraid of the Uchiha Fugaku.

Fugaku rolled his eyes at Shikamaru as he walked to the door. "I'll find you a wife, and you don't have a say on who i'll pick" he paused before entirely leaving them both dumbstruck.

'I can't get married at just 22 years old.' Sasuke thought, but he knows he can't do anything about it.
