A/N: I don't know how well the last chapter was, as I reread it and found that it wasn't as good as it could have been. Either way, here is the fifth chapter. I am trying to make the chapters longer so that I can make the chapters longer and the story more compact. I couldn't help myself with that last cliffhanger though. Either way, enjoy reading this and I hope to see more reviews. Can anyone guess my favorite pony?

"Blitz!" Applejack yelled and raised her hoofs up to stomp down on Blitz's ribs.

"Wait!" Blitz said and rolled as the powerful hoofs were brought down, barely missing her wing. "I came to-" She had to duck to avoid getting bucked in the face.

Applejack turned and bucked as she would a tree. She was obviously aiming to harm Blitz. "Came to what?" She said, her tone drenched in anger.

"I came to apologize for the trees… I didn't mean to catch them all on fire." Blitz said, composing herself as the attacks stopped. "I just couldn't help myself when she asked to race. If it's of any consolation, I lost…" She said, seemingly shrinking slightly.

"Yeah, that totally helps." Applejack said, her voice riddled with sarcasm. "Besides, how can ah believe that ya actually mean that yer sorry?" She asked as her eyes narrowed in disbelief. She didn't trust Blitz any more. Not after what had happened two and a half years ago.

Blitz sighed. "I figured you would say that… I just had a little part of me believe that you would accept it and could forgive me. I truly am sorry and didn't mean to burn the orchard, but I can understand your anger. I can understand if you still hate me. I just hope that you can someday believe and forgive me… I guess I will see you around." Blitz said with a sigh. "See ya Sapphire." She said, opening her wings to start off.

Applejack felt like she was rude after Blitz's words. "Wait." She said as Blitz got ready to fly off. "If ya really mean it, you'll do somethin' ta show that you really are sorry." She said, looking at the Pegasus.

"Sure… What is it you want me to do?" Blitz asked.

"I'll call it when I think of it." Applejack said. She then turned to Sapphire, who stood in the barn door, smiling.

"Good, now you two can be friends again." Sapphire said, moving over to the two ponies. "And you don't have to worry about the past anymore." She added. She looked at the two who gave her a look. "What?"

"What about you? Your past is far worse than ours." Blitz added, being brutally honest.

"Ah was 'bout ta say that too." Applejack said.

"Oh shut up. I was trying to avoid talking about that." Sapphire said, huffing as she plopped on the ground. She heard giggles from Blitz and Applejack as she finished her sentence. She then shot up and looked at the sunset. "Oh my Celestia, I have to get home!" She gasped, taking off through the orchard. Memories of the past burst to life in her mind as she raced through the outer edge of Ponyville. She stopped as she saw the still scorched windmill in the middle of town. She heard one voice alone. That was Daisy's.

"I don't want to hear excuses… I don't want to see your murderous eyes again… Just… leave."

She felt like crying, but she knew that she wouldn't let herself. The words rang through her head for the next five minutes as she remembered everything. Ruby's cries for help then burst her out of her thoughts. "I'm coming!" She yelled out, then realized that she was alone and there was no fire. Just burned memories. She noticed a pony that was staying out late, looking at her like she was crazy. "Hehehe…" She shyly chuckled. She then backed up and turned to where she had to go, then ran faster than before.

"We don't have much time, Sapphire. Hurry!" Ruby's voice came to Sapphire's ears.

"I know, don't remind me!" Sapphire said, still running. After she reached the edge of the Everfree, she felt herself out of breath and her ribs hurt.

"Dang Saph, you really should get some more exorcise." Ruby stated to be a smart-ass. A giggle could be heard from her as well.

"Shut…" Sapphire said, gasping. "Up." She finished, then started to move again painfully. She was walking for about ten minutes when she realized that she was getting nowhere. The sun had gone down now and she was probably in a lot of danger right now. "Ruby, talk to me to keep my mind off of the dark, please." She said, looking around.

"Can do. Uhh… Do you remember when we used to go to the river and play?" Ruby asked.

"Hehe, yeah. I remember that. I'd always toss you in because you were afraid. At least you can swim well for a pony. Ever since that first time, you loved to swim." Sapphire said, smiling as the peaceful memory brought her back to her childhood.

"I always enjoyed when you had tossed me in then we would play in the grass after that." Ruby said.

"That was fun, playing the grass. We'd always wrestle, and then I'd let you win." Sapphire said.

"You are so lying. You never let me win. I'd always kick your flank every time. You were just too prissy and a girly girl to wrestle roughly." Ruby said, her voice strung with humor.

"We'll go with that." Sapphire said, chuckling. She then realized that it was silent as the path she was currently on had seemed to widen to a house, but it was dark and it had a dark feeling to it. She knew who's this was, but it felt different. It was her house, but it felt as if there was some sort of evil in it. She decided to turn on the lights from the outside and the presence stayed the same. She took a breath and walked up to her door. She looked inside first, then opened it. She walked inside and found that everything was as she left it. Nothing was moved or even touched. She even had to unlock the door. Still though, there was some sort of negative and evil energy in the house that made her comfortable. She shut the door and she suddenly remembered what it could be. She looked to the chair where she had left her book. It lay open, how she left it, but the evil energy radiating from it was harsh.

"Sapphire… I think the book is becoming dangerous. We need to get rid of it. We can't keep it. It's kind of creeping me out too." Ruby said.

"No… We need to keep it. We need to… To make sure that somepony else doesn't get it. To make sure that it stays safe…" Sapphire said. She picked it up and she could feel it's energy grasp at her. She opened it and she saw a spell that was highlighted with a dark red. "What's this?" she asked herself.

"Don't read it, Sapphire. I beg of you not to read it!" Ruby said, screaming inside of Sapphire's mind.

"Don't patronize me, Ruby. I will do what I want." She said. She then studied the spell carefully. "Caute munes yteo tchue-" Sapphire started chanting, but a loud crash of thunder outside interrupted her and jolted away from the book, watching it fall to the ground with a dark aura that was slowly disappearing. "What the hell?" She asked, noticing that her horn was starting to hurt and her insides felt like they were scrambling back into place. "Gah!" She screamed as a bone snapped back into place. She puked on her rug as her internal organs finished up their recovery. She got up and started to work her way towards the kitchen. She stumbled, fell, then blacked out.

Daisy looked up the steps of a building of which she entered. The floors were made of marble and the tapestry was a light red and purple. She made her way up the steps before a pony's voice came.

"You're late. I told you to show up about 10 minutes ago." The pony said. As he came into her view, Daisy looked over his dark robes. His face was covered and was obviously scowling.

"I'm sorry, sir. I had to make sure that my cousin would be okay until I got back." Daisy said, bowing her head to the pony before her.

He turned his head and looked to a pony in dark black armor, almost hiding on her pitch black body. "Fallen Lightning, is she ready? Didn't she fix the problem? Destroyed that book?"

"Yes, Shadow Nexus. She has. Or at least, that's what she told me. I would be rather upset if she didn't." Fallen said, turning her dragon-like gaze towards Daisy.

"Yes, milord, I destroyed the book. It is gone." Daisy said, keeping her head bowed.

"Good. Now, what of the ponies?" Fallen asked, tilting her head ever so slightly.

"Dead. I don't know where the fifth one went. She kind of got away." Daisy said.

"What!? You let them get away? I told you to kill them all!" Fallen growled, her voice flaring up. "You find them and kill them. That's an order." Fallen finished, her gaze seemingly as cold as a cockatrice's.

"Y-yes, milord…" Daisy said, slumping to the ground in fear.

"Fallen. Accompany her. I want to make sure that the job is done and won't be left undone again. I trust you can finish this." Shadow Nexus said, taking his hood off. He wore dark black armor, like Fallen, which seemed to camouflage with his black body. He had no horn, making him either a Pegasus or an earth pony.

"Yes, Nexus." Fallen said, nodding. She glanced down the stairs as the door opened and a pony walked in. "Dismissed, Daisy. I shall meet up with you tomorrow." She said. The pony who came in was obviously important and was for the highest ranks only.

"Yes, milord." Daisy said, bowing after rising, then leaving. She kept her head straight and her gaze forward as to avoid eye contact with the newly arrived pony.
