I know it has been a long time, but im bored and 24/7 obbesed with Merlin. so here is chapter 10.

Dust swept across the floor, highlighted by the moon light. The moons shine glowed in the physicians chambers giving a dim lighting for those within. Gaius stood opposite Merlin his eyes filled with anger, sorrow and regret as he looked at his ward.

'Im sorry, I never meant for any of this for happen' Merlin whispered in despair to his mentor while looking at the cold stone floor. Gaius looked away from Merlin and out the window.

'I know' Gaius took a shaky breath 'How long have you known you were...'

'Emrys, King of magic' Merlin interjected, looking up and ruffling his hair.

'A few months, four or five, came as a bit of a shock' He sniggered.

'Im sure...Merlin there's something I must tell you' Gauis replied.

'That you knew? you know everything' Merlin said, Gauis gave a dry laugh at this.

'If only my boy, Your father, Balinor was the one who is of the royal blood line, You were never meant to live this life, You were supposed to live the life of a prince, to be raised to be the king of all kings. Your mother was a maid in Balinors castle, When they found out they were going to have you, they planned to marry, but Balinor received information that Uther planned to attack the kingdom. He sent Hunith away in fear of loosing her or you, he planned to find her after the attack but Uthers forces were larger then expected and the kingdom fell, Balinor ran' Gauis looked at Merlin in anticipation of what he just said.

Merlin breathed out and reached shakily towards the table and sat down slowly.

'...Shit...' he whispered.

Gaius considered hitting the boy for his use of words but knew it was not the time, he walked over to Merlin and sat next to him.

'They never told me that' Merlin said in shock, looking at his mentor, Gaius looked confused at Merlin.

'The people at the kingdom, the court. If you knew about all that did you know about...me, this other side that I cant control?' Merlin questioned.

'Yes, But it was never meant to be like this, your father was supposed to help you control it, he also had the curse. Merlin you must understand that this does not make you an evil person, you are the most kind, gentle, caring person I know and I consider you my son. You just need to learn how to control it.' Gaius said with great care.

'Will you help me?' Merlin asked sounding helpless.

Gaius put his arm around his ward.

'Of course I will' Gaius replied.

There was a long moment before either of the two men spoke.

'You said my father also had the curse, what curse?' Merlin questioned in a confused manner.

'It was a long time ago, your great, great grandfathers fault, King Aberardus. He was obsessed with finding a certain jewel, the name unknown to me. So many tried to find it but perished in the attempt, He was the only one who to find it but the one who possed this jewel would curse their bloodline to eternal darkness. Aberardus knew this but thought nothing of it a took the jewel, cursing the bloodline.

There was a moments silence.

'I thought you said you didnt know everything' Merlin smiled slightly.

Gauis contemplated how that was the first time in months he had seen Merlin smile.

'So all I have to do is learn to control myself and find a way stop Arthur hating me' Merlin stated as he stood up and walked towards the open window overlooking Camelot.

'You forgot rule a kingdom. Arthur doesn't hate you my dear boy, he is just shocked and-'

'Angry' Merlin cut him off, his tone filled with sorrow.

'Maybe, but you must give him time, Arthur is never one to abandon his friends.' Gauis replied confidant in Arthur.

'You should rest, you have had more then a long day' Gaius reached towards his ward and gently pulls him away from the old withering the window. Merlin's skin glowed white in the moons light, his eyes dark with exhaustion.

'With everything on my mind sleep does not come easy' Merlin whispered in exhaustion.

Gaius walked over to a shelf filled with different potions and bottles and grabbed one quickly and walked back over, he placed a small glass vile in Merlins pale white hand.

'This will help you sleep' He stated.

Merlin nodded and walked towards his room, his footsteps heavy, leaving Gaius to think over Merlin's uncertain future.
