"Phew... We finally finished the job." Aiden said as he wiped his sweat off his forehead.
"That was really tiring..." Meredy said exhausted.
"Why are we I chasing cats around in the first place?! I thought we would be taking down bad guys!" Aiden shouted.
"Don't be so picky, any job is good as long as we are being paid. We don't have a lot of money on us." Jellal explained.
"I guess that's true..." Aiden said. "Where's Ultear?"
"She went to get us something to drink. Well I have to collect the money from the client so you two stay here ok?" Jellal said.
"Ok." The two teens answered back. It was an awkward silence. Aiden decided to break the silence.
"Um Meredy?"
"Hmm?"
"Have you ever been in love with someone?"
"Of course, I'm in love with Ultear."
"Not that kind of love! I meant... How should I explain this? Have you ever felt love for a boy? Like you want to marry them?"
"I guess not. I've always been thinking of other things. Like how to impress Ultear and live up to her expectations. But... I've showed some interest in you." She said smiling.
"WHA-WHA?!" Aiden said falling off his seat.
"I'm back with water and some food." Ultear said. "What have you two been talking about?"
"Nothing." Aiden said.
Meredy looked at Aiden confused. She didn't know why he didn't want to tell Ultear so she told her herself. "Aiden was asking me if I ever loved a boy."
"MEREDY?!" Aiden shouted shocked.
"Hmmmmm. What an interesting question Aiden. I wonder why you would ask my Meredy that question? Hmmmmmmm?" Ultear asked smirking.
SHE KNOWS! SHE DEFINITELY KNOWS! Aiden said exclaiming inside his head.
"Well I was just wondering..." Aiden said trying to stay calm.
"Well Aiden, have you fell in love with a girl before?" Meredy asked.
Yes you. Wait I can't say that! Only an idiot would say that here and now!
"Girls will only get in my way." Aiden said. Meredy seemed a bit sad for a moment then quickly changed her expression.
"I'm back with the money." Jellal said holding a pouch.
The four ate and drank what Ultear bought. After they ate, they packed up and were on their way to their next destination.
"Ok then, shall we get going?"
"Where to next?" Aiden asked.
"Wherever the wind takes us." Jellal said.
"And where the hell is that?!" Aiden exclaimed.
Ultear hit Aiden on his head. "Just shut up and keep walking." She told him.
"Yes ma'am." He responded.
Crime Sorcière wandered across Fiore helping people. One day they ran into a strange man.
"So you guys are Crime Sorcière huh?" He asked.
Everyone was on alert. "Who are you? And how do you know that we're Crime Sorcière?" Jellal asked.
"Oh everyone in my guild knows you! You guys are pretty famous towards us Dark Guilds. Well let me just say, they knew you."
"What do you mean by knew? Why past tense?" Ultear asked.
"I annihilated all of them."
"Even your master?" Aiden asked getting angry.
"Oho! He begged for his life! I just laughed before I finished him off."
"Were they not your friends?!" Aiden shouted.
"Aiden calm down." Meredy told him.
"Friends?! You've got it all wrong, boy. I have no need for such things. I'm only here to cause destruction! I am called Zetsubo."
"Zetsubo? That means despair." Jellal pointed out.
"Oh yes! Such a beautiful thing! Despair! Just hearing the word sends chills down my back."
"You bastard!" Aiden yelled as he lunged towards him.
"No no, not so fast there boy." Zetsubo said as he and Aiden were enveloped in a dark sphere.
"What the hell is this place?!" Aiden shouted.
"Our own battlefield, where no one can interfere with us."
"Heh. Sounds good to me, now I can release my full power here!" Aiden said.
"That sounds marvelous! Give me all you've got!" Zetsubo said smiling.
"Aura dragon's fist!"
"Black Void." A dark space was shot at Aiden engulfing him in darkness.
"I can't breathe..." Aiden said losing strength. When he came to, he saw himself back to normal. He saw Jellal, Meredy and Ultear. "Where am I?" He asked.
"Don't you remember? We're on a job." Jellal replied.
"What happened to Zetsubo?!" Aiden asked.
"Zetsubo who?" Meredy said confused.
"Never heard of them." Ultear said.
"Me neither." Jellal said.
So they don't remember? But where exactly is this?
"Aiden get ready! It's coming!" Jellal told Aiden.
In the air was a giant dragon.
"WHAT IN THE HELL?!" Aiden shouted shocked and confused, "why are there dragons here?!"
"Don't you remember? A portal was opened by Zeref and the dragons from the past came into the present." Ultear told him.
"Didn't this happen during the Grand Magic Games?" Aiden asked.
"Yea but it's happening again. Humanity has been enslaved by Zeref but there are rebels like us. Anyways Aiden get to it!"
"Get to what?" Aiden asked confused.
"Slay the dragon already! You've done this many times!"
"I have?" Aiden asked still confused.
"AIDEN NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BE ACTING LIKE AN IDIOT!" Ultear shouted.
"Ok ok!" Aiden said jumping in the air. He caught onto the dragon. "Ok now what..." Aiden asked himself.
"Ok here I go! Aura dragon's Burst shot!" A burst of powerful aura came striking right through the dragon. "Well I guess the new move was a success." He jumped down as the dragon came crashing into the ground.
"Good job once again, Aiden." Jellal said.
Something feels off... Something is amiss...
"Jellal?" Aiden asked.
"Hmmm?" Jellal answered.
"Where exactly are we? No, let me rephrase that, where exactly am I?"
Jellal stopped moving. Then the world turned dark. Zetsubo came out of the shadows.
"Magnificent! You saw through the illusion immediately didn't you?" Zetsubo asked.
"I'm not an idiot, I saw through it the moment a dragon came flying through the air. And it was too easy to kill." Aiden said with murderous intent in his eyes.
"Yes! I love that look." Zetsubo said licking his lips.
"Aiden!" Meredy shouted. There was a crack in the sphere and Jellal, Meredy and Uktear came through it.
"But how?!" Zetsubo exclaimed.
"We just simply blasted it with everything we have." Jellal stated.
"Well no matter, I'll just kill all of you!" Zetsubo said laughing.
"Shut up." Aiden said. Zetsubo couldn't dodge Aiden's attack at all. Zetsubo was sent flying into the other side of the Black Sphere. When Zetsubo looked at Aiden, he was using Dragon Force due to all the Dark Aura around.
"That was a good meal." Aiden said.
"Zetsubo, you won't win against us." Jellal said as they joined Aiden's side.
Zetsubo didn't say anything then he started laughing like a maniac. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I WILL DESTROY YOU WITH MY SECRET MOVE! I WILL BLOW THIS BLACK SPHERE UP ALONG WITH EVERYONE IN IT!"
"Dammit, everyone let's head towards the crack and leave this place!" Jellal said. They started running but noticed Aiden wasn't following them.
"Aiden what are you doing? Hurry up!" Meredy shouted to him.
"Sorry guys, but I ate too much bad aura. At this rate I will grow corrupt and just hurt people. I will stay here." Aiden said.
"What the hell are you saying? It doesn't matter just come with us!" Meredy shouted with tears in her eyes.
"Sorry Meredy... Sorry Ultear and Jellal... It was fun while it lasted. Meredy?"
"What?" She asked still tearing up.
"I love you."
Ultear pulled Meredy out and they were out of the Black Sphere. They got as far away from it as possible and it exploded.
"I love you too... I love you too Aiden..." Meredy said crying her heart out.
"Aiden... We are sorry... We will miss you..." Jells said hiding his tears.
"If only there was something we could've done to purify him from all the dark aura, he would have still be at our side." Ultear said tearing up.
A few months later Crime Sorcière was staying at a town when they noticed someone was following them. When they revealed them self, they were filled with happiness to see them once again.
AHAHAAH! Sorry for the terrible ending. I might do an alternate version of what happened so look forward to that. Thank you for reading this fanfic. See you in my other works!
