First off, I'm sorry I don't update, it's mainly cause my computer is a shared one so I have to write all my stories into a notebook then transfer them online. This is based off Radioactive, but you don't have to listen to understand the story.
Disclaimer: I don't own House of Anubis
"My heart is nuclear,
love is all that I fear,
I'm turning radioactive,
my blood is radioactive.
...In the night your heart
is full and by the morning empty,
but baby, I'm the one who left you,
you're not the one who left me."

Patricia didn't exactly know how she fell into this position, But she couldn't help becoming a green-eyed monster whenever she spotted Eddie with KT, it was uncontrollable jealousy, and though, she'd never admit it to anyone aloud she still had feelings for the American. But, it's not like she was very subtle either. So, when Amber was leaving and everyone gathered to hug her and her arm brushed against Eddie's she felt as if she were on fire, and she didn't feel that way with anyone else. She didn't know how or why, after all, she was the one who broke up with him.
She was lagging behind the group as they walked back to Anubis house, leaves crushing underneath her faded, old combat boots. Her eye caught Eddie's as he looked back from discussing his and KT's discoveries with Alfie and Fabian. She heard him mutter something about asking them to go ahead, and narrowed her eyes as he shook his head towards her and the rest of the group quickened their pace and Eddie stopped waiting for Patricia to catch up to him. "What do you want?" She hissed, shooting him an icy glare.
He shrugged his shoulders, "can't two friends just walk together?" She scowled, hugging her arms around her body, it was freezing. "Okay..." he ran a hand through his hair, trying to think of a way to break the ice, he looked down at her, and realized she was shivering. He easily shrugged out of his jacket handing it to her, "Here."
"I don't want your jacket... Can you just tell me what you're up to?" She huffed, narrowing her eyes and looking up at him.
"You think I'm up to something? I'm hurt, Yacker." He chuckled, putting a hand over his chest, mockingly.
Patricia laughed, and shoved, "Oh, shut up. Besides, you're always up to something."
As much as he hated admitting it, he missed her smile. He didn't really know why he let her go so quickly, without putting up a fight, but it's the single thing Eddie regretted most in his life. "No, but seriously, it's really cold, just take the jacket." He told her, handing it to her again.
She sighed, "Thanks, but I do have to ask, since when have you become a gentleman?" She teased. nudging him while walking. The others were completely out of sight now, but neither Patricia or Eddie had really minded.
The blonde scoffed, running a hand through his hair absentmindedly, "I've always been a gentleman, you've just never noticed it." He said proudly, not even noticing that the words had left his mouth. He grinned at her but, his smile faltered when he realized she wasn't smiling back at him.
"Oh." Her tone dropped, as if she had just realized something. She backed away and focused her eyes on her hands, twisting the sleeves of Eddie's jacket with them, "Sorry."
"No, Patricia, wait."
She really shouldn't have stopped for him. She should've just walked away and in the morning they could both forget that they had played around together, just like old times, even if it was merely for a second. She should've just walked back to the house and moved on from there. But she didn't. Her head spun around, her curls bouncing behind her and glared at him, her green orbs seeing right through him, "What?" She hissed.
"I- um- I didn't mean it that way-I was uh- just trying to be funny.." He stuttered, looking at the ground, not knowing what to say when he realized she was actually upset.
"No- It's fine I just overreacted." Patricia sighed, softening up, they got carried away, and neither had actually realized they weren't supposed to be enjoying each other's presence. She was surprised he felt bad though, it really wasn't a big deal, seeing as he had KT to himself.
Eddie breathed a sigh of relief, "Can I ask you something?" He asked, examining her face for any signs of anger, thankfully, there were none, she had cooled down.
No, she thought, biting her lip, "Yeah," she replied. Damn it.
"Why do you do that?" He questioned, then saw the confused look on her face, "No, that came out wrong..." He said, moving his arms if if to cancel out his last question, "I mean like, why do you get so worked up when KT and I hang out? A-and just now, we were talking and then you just pushed me away," He took a few steps towards her slowly, "You're the one who broke up with me, remember? Not the other way around."
"You think I don't know that?" She snapped, defensively, squinting her eyes. "Of course I remember! How could I forget? It's just we- ugh!" Her voice became more quiet as she spoke and he saw that look of vulnerability on her face as she threw her hands up in defeat and looked down.
"Hey, hey, you can tell me Patricia." She timidly took another step forward, if he wanted out why she dumped him, he'd have to be careful, rather than just yelling back. He wanted her to know he still cared about her, no matter what had happened between them. Patricia, on the other hand, felt like her heart had just been ripped out of her chest when she heard Eddie's tone. He was hoping he'd just shout at her and they'd fight so she wouldn't have to go through this but, of course he had to go all soft on her.
Eddie slowly brought his hand under her chin and tilted her head so she was looking him right in the eye, and she just melted. "You can tell me, okay? You can tell me anything." She felt his breath on her face, because they were that close, and shakily let go of the breath she had no clue she'd been holding in.
She sighed sadly, "Everything it was just- it was going too fast and I don't think I was ready," She paused, shutting her eyes tightly because she just hated emotions and that was what Eddie did, he brought out all her worst emotions, and truth be told she was scared because she knew what love did and didn't want to be in love, "We'd barely been dating that long and Eddie, you told me you loved me. And I just, I don't think I even know what love is." She choked out, biting her lip, worried for his reply.
"Hey, Yac- Patricia, that's ok, we can take it slow if you want." Eddie suggested, relieved that he hadn't done anything wrong, moving his hand to hold hers.
"No, Eddie don't you get it? I cant do this. I won't. Because all that's gonna happen is somebody is going to get hurt, and I'm sorry but, I don't want to get hurt. You shouldn't either." With that she broke from his grasp, and ran back towards the house. It was almost like something had exploded, hurting both of them.
