Chapter 4: Miracle Cure
Morning came swiftly, and when the alarm clock went off, Clover woke feeling absolutely refreshed; it was as if she had slept twelve straight hours. She felt her body pulsating with energy. Throwing the sheets to the side, she sat on the bed, thinking about what had happened last night, but mostly, about the weird dream she had after coming back from the beach with those gold pieces she found on the sunken ship.
Quickly getting up, she was excited for the day that was about to start.
"Good morning, Blackie." –the blonde said, as she caressed the pyjamas she was wearing, which quickly assumed its true form, gluing itself to her body, just like in the previous night. –"You know, it's not that I don't like you doing this, but we need to find a more suitable form for you... since you turned into my pyjamas, you think you could turn into other kind of clothes?"
A second later, the alien creature began changing shape again, adapting itself to Clover's body and turned into a beautiful black tank top with glittery pink letters which spelled "Star", a pair of white pants and a pair of red sandals.
"Man, Blackie, you sure have great taste. With you around, I'll never have to buy new clothes ever again... I just need to see them, and then you can copy them. You don't mind that, do you?" –Clover asked the alien creature. Her body shivered for a brief moment, meaning that Blackie liked the idea. –"But right now, do you mind, you know, recoil yourself or whatever you do, so I can take a bath?"
Hearing her say that, Blackie returned to its original form, and then began to slip inside Clover through her belly button. The alien telepathically told her that it had recoiled itself inside of her. She could feel it inside her abdomen, tickling her as she walked to the bathroom.
"You better not move much, or else you're going to tickle me." –she said.
After a warm shower, Clover told herself that she needed a good breakfast. With her bathrobe wrapped around her body, she made her way to the kitchen Opening the fridge, she asked herself what she was going to eat that morning. Usually, she would drink a glass of milk and eat two toasts with jam; she never felt really hungry before lunchtime. But on that morning, she felt really hungry. Looking at the food, she felt like she could a full grown horse.
"I don't know why, but I think I'm going to eat a bit of everything." –Clover said, as she grabbed the bacon and a couple of eggs from one of the fridge's shelves.
Wasting no time, she cooked several things for breakfast. Bacon and eggs, a huge cheese omelette, a stack of pancakes with lots of syrup on top, toasts and some Belgian waffles. And as if that was not enough, she also fixed herself a bowl of her favourite cereal, and a huge glass of orange juice. When she finished cooking, she had cooked enough food for at least four people, and yet, something told her that it would not be enough for her. And right she was. She basically gulped the food, not leaving a single crumb on the plates. When she finished eating, she felt like she could still something else, so without second thoughts, she went to one of the cabinets and grabbed a chocolate bar, gulping it.
"Mmm... delicious." –Clover said. –"I never thought I could actually eat this much without getting sick. Could this be a side effect from having Blackie stuck to me?"
When she thought that, she felt something coming out of her belly button, a small tendril, which formed into a tiny little black ink-dipped Clover, who kept bouncing her head affirmatively.
"Oh, Blackie, is that you saying yes?" –she asked, as the miniaturized Clover once more waved her head affirmatively. –"I see. I forgot you can read my thoughts." –she smiled. –"Well, now that I had my breakfast, tell me something, do you want your breakfast?"
Saying that, she opened her robe, letting it slide down her body. With a really naughty smile on her face, as Blackie oozed from her belly button, quickly covering her whole body, just like it had done the previous night, Clover sat on the kitchen chair, spreading open her legs and gently, she began to caress her pussy, feeling just how smooth and wet it was, while with her hand, she groped and caressed her breasts, squeezing them gently.
"Oh, fuck... it feels so good..." –she moaned, as she kept playing with herself. She felt so sensitive to her own touch, that she felt she was about to explode, as the adrenaline rushed through her veins.
The more she touched her pussy, the wetter it became, with her love juices squirting down her legs. It took her just a couple of minutes to reach the ever so anticipated orgasm, and boy did it felt good. Panting hard, as her heart kept beating like the heart of a hummingbird; she savoured the orgasm, while Blackie formed tendrils that quickly slurped every last drop of Clover's delicious love juices.
"Whoa... whoa... what a rush..." –she whispered, as she caught her breath. –"You really manage to take masturbation to a whole new level, you know?"
This made one of Blackie's tendrils stretch until it was close to Clover's face and let out a small screech, similar to a giggle.
"I can only imagine what sex will be with you, you know?" –she mused. –"Well, it's time to go to school." –Clover said, as she stood up and looked at the pile of dirty plates and pans in the kitchen sink. –"I'll take care of that when I come back." –she thought.
Exiting the house, Clover felt ready for school, especially since it was Friday, and her classes ended just after 12. That meant she was going to have lots of time to spend with Sam and Alex, whom she knew were going to have the shock and surprise of their lives, after telling them what had happened to her, and introduced them to Blackie.
As for the alien organism who had bonded itself to her, it had once more made use of its amazing cloaking and camouflaging capabilities, by turning itself into a teenager's ordinary clothes. As she walked down the street, Clover quickly told herself that no one in the world would even think the clothes she was wearing, a blue navy tank top, a white mini-skirt and a pair of red sneakers, were actually an alien being from another world.
When she got to school, the first thing she did was to have a second breakfast. She had eaten so much already, but as she passed by the cafeteria, she felt the urge to chow down something more. So, without giving it much more thought, she chose just about everything she saw that look good, and placed it on the tray. Some of the local jocks with whom Clover spent her time trying to go out with, and whom were used to seeing her having nothing more than a latte or maybe a sandwich at that time of the day, did not know how to react when they saw her tray filled with more food than anyone of them would be able to eat before lunch.
Taking a seat, she texted Sam and Alex before starting to eat, telling them to meet her in class in 20 minutes. When she was eating her second chocolate croissant, she heard someone calling her. She turned to her left and saw who it was. It was Mike, the hunk who she went out with the previous Friday. She had met him while he was playing guitar near the football field, and instantly fell in love with him, just like she did with every cute guy she met.
"Hey, Clover." –he said.
"Oh, hey, Mike." –she said, smiling at him. –"And how's my favourite guitarist?"
"Just fine and what about you? You look pretty hungry." –he said, as he pointed to all of the food she had the tray.
"Oh, and I am. I did one of those training sessions that leave you with enough appetite to eat a horse, and then I didn't have the time to have breakfast." –she lied about it.
"I see... well, I was wondering... would you like to go out again tonight? I know a great bar where you can hear the best upcoming bands, and since you enjoyed our previous date, I was wondering if..." –he hesitated a little, obviously a little nervous.
"Oh, that's so sweet of you, Mike. But I'm afraid I already have plans for tonight." –she told him. She still did not have them, but she was sure she would have later on. –"Maybe some other time."
"Oh, it's cool, don't worry." –he said. –"Well, I better get going. I still have to pick up a few things from my locker before class. See ya later."
"See ya." –she waved back at him, as he left.
She felt a little bad telling him she could not go out with him that night, but she knew once Sam and Alex knew what happened, she was going to have her hands full explaining everything to them.
When she was nearly finishing, she heard her name once more, but this time, the person calling her was her least favourite person in the world, her rival and arch-nemesis, Mandy. Turning around, she saw her
"Look at all that... don't tell me you decided to finally accept that you're a loser and you decided to stuff yourself with all the food you could find?" –Mandy shot at Clover.
The mere presence of Mandy in the same room as her was enough to make Clover loose her temper and this time was no different. Gritting her teeth, she just shot at her.
"You're one to talk... you're the one who every time she gets dumped eats an entire tub of ice cream!"
"That's a lie and you know it! The reason why I have this perfect body is because I don't eat fast food or anything that has sugar in it, unlike you, who's stuffing herself like a pig!" –she shot back at Clover, always with a wicked smile on her lips. –"Oh, and one more thing that is the ugliest tank top I've ever seen, so last year."
Already tired of hearing her, Clover grabbed her juice and threw it at Mandy's face, soaking her wet. Mandy did not know how to react, except to scream on top of her lungs, cursing Clover for what she had done.
"You bitch! Do you know how much these clothes have cost me?! Not to mention these clothes were imported from Paris!" –Mandy screamed. She was about to say something else, when she noticed everyone was staring at her. Gritting her teeth, she said. –"Don't even think this is over, Clover! If these stains don't come out I swear to you that you're gonna buy me another matching set!"
As she walked away, no doubt making her way to the girls room, Clover laughed to herself. Mandy was really asking for it. She really did not care if she would have to buy Mandy a new set of clothes. It was not like she could not afford it. Just the fact of having her scream like that after she humiliated her had just made her day.
After finishing her second breakfast, she took the tray and emptied on one of the trash dispensers, before leaving it to be taken by the cafeteria's staff. Before heading to class, she made a small detour to her locker and grabbed her Biology book.
"Biology... just the thought that next we're going to have to desiccate dead frogs gives me the creeps." –Clover shrugged just thinking about it. –"Why do Biology teachers think we need to learn these things? None of us is going to end up working at the city morgue."
When she walked into the classroom she noticed that their teacher had not reached yet. Still, that was the least of her worries. All she wanted was to find her best friends and tell them the news. She quickly found Alex behind her desk reading what it looked like a comic book, but there were no signs of Sam. Taking a seat next to the brunette, she tapped her on the shoulder, announcing her arrival.
"Hey, Alex."
"Hi, Clover." –Alex smiled, as she dropped her comic book and wrapped her arms around the blonde's shoulders. –"I got your text. You look happy this morning. You don't usually look this happy when we have Biology at 9 in the morning."
"Let's just say that I have reasons to be in a good mood this morning." –Clover smiled. –"But where's Sammykins? She hasn't arrived yet?"
"Nope, not yet. She texted me a couple of minutes ago and told me that she was arriving a little late. She caught a cold during the mission."
"Did she? I did it tell you that we need to ask Jerry to make a couple of changes to our Arctic spy outfits so they can retain our body heat better." –Clover said.
"Well, I don't think that that would do any good, especially when you dive into icy water in order to stop a nuclear submarine from launching an attack against the White House." –Alex reminded her. Sam had been the heroine of the day on their last mission.
"True... still, I hope Sam's cold doesn't stop her from coming to school." –Clover said, a little worried about her friend.
"Don't worry, Sam will come. Remember, that girl isn't like the two of us. She wouldn't skip school, even if she was dying." –Alex giggled.
Clover wanted to tell Alex everything that happened to her over the last 24 hours, but she had to hold it to herself a little longer, because she also wanted Sam to know about it. It was only during lunch time that Sam finally arrived. She looked really terrible. Her eyes were watery, her nose was running and the bags under her eyes revealed that she had had a terrible time sleeping. On top of that, she was wearing a bunch of sweatshirts and underneath them she had a polar vest, and a beanie, covering her head.
Still, even with that awful cold, she smiled at her friends, who hugged her, not caring if they caught a cold themselves.
"Hey, Sammy, how are you hanging?" –Clover asked her.
"More or less... I feel like the floor of a taxi cab; or even better, like crap." –Sam said, as she sneezed. –"Atchooo!"
"Easy there, Sam." –Alex said, as they all sat on a bench. –"Maybe you shouldn't have come."
"But I needed to come... Atchoooo!" –Sam sneezed once more. –"We're having an Algebra test next week, and I need to... review the matter."
Only Sam would ever think about a thing like that when she should be in bed, resting and gathering her strengths back.
"Sammykins, you're burning up. You need to go back to bed." –Clover said. –"Look, let's bail classes and get you in bed."
"But..." –Sam insisted.
"No buts or ifs, Sam. We're taking you home, back to your bed, where you're going to stay until you're fully recovered." –Clover said, as she grabbed her by the waist and then let her piggyback. –"Grab our stuff, Alex."
Complying, Alex quickly grabbed her backpack, as well as Clover's and Sam's and followed her friends. As they walked towards Sam's car, Alex noticed something she did not before; the fact that Clover was carrying Sam like she weighted nothing.
"I know Clover's strong and she's been drinking those protein shakes lately, but she lifted Sam like she didn't weigh anything." –Alex thought to herself. –"How did she become so strong?"
Already at Sam's place, Clover and Sam helped her get out of her clothes and into her pyjamas. Sam was really burning up. They checked her temperature; 100 degrees Fahrenheit. And as if things were not bad enough, Sam had begun to shiver.
"S-so c-c-cold." –Sam shivered, tilting her teeth.
"Don't worry, Sam, we're going to take care of you." –Clover said, as she placed the third coverlet over the redhead, trying to keep her warm and cosy. –"Alex is making you some chicken soup, and I already checked on the net for what medicine to give you."
"Thanks..." –Sam sighed, her voice sounded almost like a whisper. –"I wished my mom was here to take care of me... Atchooo!"
"Yeah, but like you said, she's out f town, and we're not going to force her to catch a flight from Miami just because of a little cold." –Clover smiled, as she placed another pillow behind Sam's head. –"We're going to be your fulltime nurses, until you're old perky, funny, and rather sexy self with a beautiful ass." –Clover practically whispered the last bit.
"W-What did you say, Clover?" –Sam asked her. She had not caught the last bit of her sentence.´
"Oh, nothing, Sammykins." –Clover quickly said, obviously not understanding why she said what she did. She had never said those things about Sam before, at least not the way she did. The more she thought about it, the worst it got. All of a sudden, she began to have what most would call inappropriate thoughts about Sam and Alex. Excusing herself, she decided she needed a couple of minutes to herself. –"I'll be right back, Sammy."
Splashing some water on her face, Clover took a deep breath and looked herself in the mirror.
"Where did those thoughts came from?" –Clover asked herself out loud. –"Blackie, are you the one who's giving me these thoughts?"
In order to answer her, the symbiote produced a small tendril out of Clover's tank top, which assumed the form of a tiny Clover, who kept waving its head affirmatively.
"Don't tell me you're telling me that I want to fuck my best friends?!" –Clover asked it, a little shocked. She had never thought about them like that before. Sure, they were super pretty and cute, and they looked super sexy on their latex spy catsuits, but she had never thought about them that way.
And it was then, that Blackie revealed a little more about itself. Sharing its thought-waves with the blonde, it told her that its species enhanced the feelings one has for others, but only with those who share a very special bond; which in other words meant that she had always been in love with her best friends and she desired them.
"Whoa... that's too much to assimilate. Me, in love with Alex and Sam?" –Clover said. –"Well, I admit that I always imagined how Alex must scream when she has an orgasm... she must hum like a puppy before letting out a huge scream as reaches it." –the blonde mused. –"But how am I going to tell them that I'm actually in love with them? Better yet... how am I going to tell them about you? I can't tell them, not until Sammy's cured. If I tell her about you now, she might freak out... if only she was cured in an instant, then I could tell them about you and... What? I can cure her, how?"
Once more, Blackie revealed yet another secret of its species. It told her that as long as it was stuck to her, the symbiote would give the power to cure others by touching them; plus, she would never get sick. Rejoicing with that piece of news, she decided that maybe the best way to reveal Blackie's existence to them was to cure Sam, and from there, improvise.
"Okay, I'm going to cure her, but I'm going to need your help, so don't do anything they might consider creepy or strange, unless I want them to see." –she begged Blackie, as she combed her hair with her fingers. –"Well, if you don't know what they might consider to be creepy or strange, just read my thoughts, believe me, there are a lot of memories about that kind of subject in my head, you have my permission to do it." –Clover told Blackie. She'd agreed with it never to spy on her personal memories and thoughts, but that was an emergency, and besides, she felt like she could trust it.
As she made her way back to Sam's room, she heard Alex's voice, talking to Sam. When she opened the door, she saw Alex seated on the bed, next to Sam, holding a tray with a plate of chicken soup.
"My mom's always saying that this is the best thing to cure a cold." –Alex said, as she set the tray in front of the –"Oh, by the way, I left your kitchen a mess, while doing it, but don't worry, I'll clean it up later." –Alex smiled. Seeing that genuine smile made Sam smile too.
"Thanks, Alex." –Sam said with a sore voice, as she tasted the warm and delicious chicken soup. For someone who was always saying she did not even know how to boil an egg, Alex made one killer chicken soup. A little too salty for Sam's taste, but still super delicious. –"Mmm... It's really good. Never took you for a cook."
"Well, I've been taking a couple of lessons." –she giggled. –"Remember that cute exchange student from Italy we met during Home Economics, Fabiano? He taught me how to cook a couple of dishes, when I helped him study for English Literature a few weeks ago."
"Oh... so are we talking about a new romance? A-Atchoooo!" –Sam sneezed, almost spilling her chicken soup.
"Afraid not... he's got a girlfriend back in Italy." –Alex sighed. –"This girl here will stay single for a long time."
"Oh, don't beat yourself over it... Atchoo! I'm sure the right guy will appear, sooner or later." –Sam said, as she blew her nose. –"Look at Clover, she's always thinking she's found the perfect guy, and well..."
"Hey, I'm standing here, you know?!" –Clover said, as she leaned herself against the door, smiling at both girls. –"Buy you're absolutely right, I'm always thinking that I found the perfect guy and in the end, it wasn't him."
Approaching them, she grabbed a chair and sat in front of Sam. For a few seconds she did not utter a word, and those seconds felt to her like hours. She stared at her friends, trying to gather the right words before speaking. She was a little afraid that if she did not say the right words, they might get scared. Her hope was that given everything they had seen during their missions as spies would be enough for them not freak out about what they were about to be told. Finally, taking a deep breath, she broke her silence and said:
"Sam, Alex... we're friends... best friends forever, right?"
"Well, duh, of course we are." –Alex said with her perky voice.
"Forever, remember? Atchoo!" –Sam sneezed again.
"I know, I know... and, well, we always said that whatever happens, our friendship would always come first and we would stand by each others, right?" –Clover went on, a little hesitant.
"Yeah... but where are you getting with that? It sounds almost like you're about to tell us that you're going to die." –Alex said, her voice revealing that she was worried.
"Clover... what's going on?"
"Well... I got something to tell and show you, but... you girls have to trust me, okay?" –Clover told them. –"Sammykins, don't move and don't be afraid, okay?"
Sam nodded and without saying another word, Clover gently placed her hand over Sam's face, feeling just how hot she was due to the fever. And then, her hand began to glow. The light became brighter and brighter and it kept like this for a couple of seconds, before fading.
Sam and Alex did not know what to say or think about what had happened in front of them. In fact, the only thing Sam knew was that she was feeling much better. Her nose wasn't running anymore, she could breath normally, her fever was gone and her muscles did not ache anymore. She was cured from that cold.
"C-Clover... what did just happen?!" –Sam asked.
