' Scarlet, what's happening over there?'
a twenty year old woman stood by her former school to pick up her eighteen year old sister named Scarlet Montez. Normally she would go by herself but since Scarlet had the talent to fuck up things and get grounded at least once a month. Every time when Scarlet did something wrong, her parents grounded her and Gabriella was scrued. Because it meant that she was the one who to take Scarlet to school, and pick her up since her parents were both doctors at the hospital. If her parents took away Scarlet's car, Gabriella had to fix it.
'Scarlet? I am asking you a question.'
A gorgeous brunette turned around irritated. 'Can't you see that I'm talking to my friends?'
Gabriella pushed her Ray-ban back on her nose. 'Would you like to walk back home miss popular? '
'Well, I'm sure I can find someone who can bring me home. Jason, Brett or maybe Simon.'
'And this is exactly the reason why you are grounded. Again. '
Scarlet groaned. 'Okay fine, what did you say?'
'I asked what's happening over there?'
Gabriella pointed at a group of teenagers not far away from them. Scarlet shortly looked at it before turning back to her older sister. 'nothing to worry about sis. That happens everyday.'
Scarlet got into Gabriella's car, but Gabriella couldn't help it. She kept looking at the group. When she was a student at East High she often got picked by the popular girls. It's not like she was a geek, but sometimes they just pick you because they want too. And it felt like someone in that group over there was being picked out. Based on what her sister says, she felt the urge to help that person out.
' Gabs, come on let's go home! I'm done being here at this shitty school.'
Gabriella sighed and got in her car, started it and drove away. When they drove past the group Gabriella got a glimpse of a boy being in the middle. ' What did you mean it happens everyday?' she looked over at her sister who was into her phone, giggling a little. 'Scarlet come on, can you just have a decent conversation before we arrive back home so you can disappear in your room to do god knows what?'
'God, fine.' She put her phone back in her bag and looked over at her older sister. ' the guy over there is a nerd. He dresses awful, stinks like sweat, knows everything the teacher is asking and most of al. He is the son of the basketball coach, but he doesn't even play? If you want to be someone at school, do something you are supposed to do. Oh, and he's fat.'
'Nothing has changed since I was a student there.' Gabriella muttered.
'Yes, if you did try harder when you were a student, it wouldn't have to do so much work to get this popular. Do you know much I had to do for that?'
'I'm sure you had to do a lot of things.'
'Of course I haven't my dear sister. Just look at me? I mean look at you? I'm surprised that you weren't as popular as I am now.'
'Times were different when I was in high school Scarlet.'
'I'm sure it wasn't that different. Remember I was already there when you were a senior. There were popular girls, boys, jocks, nerds and don't forget the drama club. It's still the same as it is now.'
'Still, I think its pathetic you popular people are picking out the weak ones.'
Scarlet frowned. 'Excuse me? I don't waste my time with people like him. Don't you dare thinking we are all the same Gabs.'
'That's not what I mean Scarlet.. I..'
They arrived at their home. Scarlet jumped out of the car, clearly irritated by her sister. Gabriella sighed and followed her inside. Scarlet threw her shoes and bag onto the floor and runned upstairs and slammed the door behind her. Gabriella sighed again and grabbed her bag and put it on the table. Sadly her relationship with her sister was never as close as she wanted. They were just too different.
Gabriella also went upstairs to take a shower. Dried herself and got herself into comfy clothes, her curly black hair just dripping.
It was not that Gabriella wasn't a beauty just like her sister. It's just that Gabriella didn't want to focus on it. Girls these days will do absolutely anything to get the attention through Tiktok, Snapchat or Instagram. For the good, but also for the bad. For Gabriella her personality and her brain was the thing that make people attractive.
As she lay down on her bed, she grabbed her phone. She followed her sister on Instagram and she just posted a photo of herself this afternoon. It was a selfie and Gabriella sighed. Typical Scarlet. Gabriella was just about to put her phone away until something in the background catches her eye. It was the boy from this afternoon who got picked out. Gabriella tried to enlarge the photo but It was way to blurry so see what he looked like. Gabriella thought about it and remembered that he was the son of the basketball coach.
Coach Bolton..
Okay, Bolton it is. As Gabriella searched for the name through snapchat and Instagram, she sadly didn't find anything. But he had facebook. His name is Troy Bolton. Gabriella looked through his profile and although his profile photo was kinda old she felt sad for him. Just like she felt this afternoon. She had to urge to help him. But how? And before she knew it, she sends a friend request to the boy.
It took 2 minutes before Gabriella got a prive message through facebook.
Who are you?
