Lyserg P.O.V
The next morning Lyserg woke up earlier than usual with the nightconversation stuck in his head. The youngest boy sat up in bed and blinked away tiredness from his green eyes. The others were still asleep and the clock was around half past six.
After a whiles thinking Lyserg decided to take a short walk, just so he could think about a few things that needed to be sorted out. The British boy silently left the hotel-room and left the hotel.
The streets were silent and there wasn't many people outside their houses.
Lyserg started to think about what Yoh and the others had planned for today. Maybe he could visit the wolves today? He hadn't been home for quite a while.
The young boy thought about it for a while 'till he heard something in an alleyway and immediately froze. His green eyes searched in the darkness for a movement or shadow. He listened quietly for any sound or even movement as well.
After a little while a tiny puppy stumbled out of the darkness of the alleyway. Lyserg immediately softened as he sat down on his knees and stretched his arms out.
"Come here", he whispered and the puppy glanced into the darkness with fear in it's eyes.
'There's something more there', Lyserg thought but held his mask. The tiny puppy looked like a collie with big, brown eyes that hesitatingly glanced at Lyserg who only smiled at it.
"Come here", he softly repeated while looking at the puppy. It's white and brown fur was dirty and the puppy hadn't had so much to eat lately, even Lyserg knew it was way to slim for it's age."I won't hurt you", he smiled at the puppy who looked behind it in the darkness once more before it carefully pattered to Lyserg.
It sniffed on his hand and the young boy scratched it behind it's tiny little ear. The pup seemed to like it and climbed up in Lyserg's lap. The British boy lifted up the way to light pup and held it in front of himself.
"Where's your parents?" he asked the little creature who blinked at him.
"I can't say", the pup answered while looking at the two cottonballs hanging around Lyserg's hoodie. Lyserg tilted his head to one side, thinking about the next question.
"Okay then, where do you live?" he asked the pup who begun to lightly punch at the cottonballs. It got them between it's paws and pulled them. The lances tightened around Lysergs throat and made it hard to breath.
"Hey kid, stop it", he said to the pup who released the cottonballs."Thanks a lot", Lyserg muttered."Anyways, where do you live?"
"Nowhere", the pup answered with it's brown eyes in Lyserg's.
"Well then... is anyone taking care of you?" the young boy asked the pup. It's ears immediately laid flat against it's head.
"I can't say", he half-growled.
"Why not?"
"You can understand him." Lyserg immediately spun around to face... a boy who in some way reminded him of Yoh. The boy wore a dirty poncho and red, torn trousers. He had eyes as brown as Yoh's and he had long, brown hair down to his waist.
'He looks like the boy Horohoro and the others saw', Lyserg thought but kept quiet about it while making up a plan inside his head. The boy slowly walked around the British boy while looking at him from head to toe. The pup got out off Lyserg's hands and pattered over to the boy who knelt down to it and petted it on it's head.
"Who are you?" he asked and looked Lyserg in his eyes.
"My name is Lyserg, and you?" Lyserg held out his hand and the boy shook it.
"Hao", he simply replied and Lyserg nodded and he realized something.
"You can understand him as well, how come?" he asked Hao who petted the little pup.
"How do I know I can trust you?" he watchfully asked with serious and narrowed eyes.
'If we're gonna make him our friend we need to earn his trust', Lyserg thought and sat down with crossed legs.
"Okay, then I'll tell my story first", he said and Hao sat down as well with the pup in his lap.
"So that's how you ended up on the streets?" Lyserg asked Hao who nodded.
"They helped me with food and shelter, why wouldn't I help them as well?" he asked and the British boy smiled. He had get to know Hao a little more and he was nicer than expected. Lyserg got to know that he was actually from Japan and he was one year older than himself. Hao smiled slightly and a black cat jumped down on his shoulder.
"This is my best friend, Luna", Hao presented the black cat who meowed.
"Hi", Lyserg smiled and reached out his hand to Luna who sniffed at it and the British boy petted the animal on her head.
"Is it lunchtime soon?" the little puppy asked and started to chew on Hao's hand.
"Not yet in a couple of hours", he smiled at it and it sighed.
"I'm hungry..." Hao laughed and stood up.
"Let's go and find something to eat then", he said to the pup in his arms.
"Yay!" it cheered happily.
"Well, I gotta go as well", Lyserg said and stood up as well. He knew that the others would soon go up and Yoh would scold him if he wasn't at the hotel.
"Well then, bye", he smiled and waved to Hao and the three animals who smiled back.
Just a few minutes after Lyserg came back to the hotel everyone else woke up.
"You're already up?" Yoh tiredly asked while putting his clothes on.
"Mm-huh", Lyserg nodded with a small smile. He took a deep breath while making up the question in his head.
"Yoh?" The older teen turned to Lyserg with his normal smile which made the British boy feel both nervous and warm.
"Yes?"
"Uhm.. I was thinking that I should go home for a while today", Lyserg explained with red cheeks and his eyes out through the window.
"Okay, have fun", was the short answer he got from Yoh.
"W-wait, you mean it's all okay with you?" Lyserg asked in a surprised tone.
"Yeah, why shouldn't it?" Yoh smiled and Lyserg nodded as a "Thank you" before he waved Yoh, Manta and Ren goodbye.
Out on the street Lyserg quickly made his way to the forest to the little bush-surrounded clearing.
"I'm home!"

Oh, and another thing, I don't know when I'll update next month since my friend and I are going to London for a week! So when I'm supposed to update I'm actually where this fic take place! I hope it will make the writing easier! :D
