I ran quickly down the street, a huge grin on my face as snow started to fall around me. I couldn't believe Neji would ask me to come hang out with him! I didn't even have to bed this time! Most of the time I had to call and practically beg him to come have coffee with me or go see a movie, but now he was asking me to come keep him company.

I came up to the front door of the house he shared with his cousin, Hinata, and knocked gently. "Neji, I'm coming in. put some clothes on if you're naked." I walked in and looked around, seeing him moving around in the kitchen and made my way over there. "Sorry for just walking in like that, I know you don't like that.." I smiled a bit and rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly.

Neji turned and looked at me, his usual irritated expression on his face. I looked him up and down and blushed when I saw he was only wearing a pair of sweatpants. "Hey, you came." It looked like he had been cooking, pots and measuring cups scattered across the counter. I caught my breath after a while and he raised an eyebrow at me. ""Did you run here? In the cold? Idiot, you have a car for a reason." He sighed softly and shook his head. "You came just in time for dinner then." He turned around again and kept cooking, stirring the things in the two pots simmering on the stove. "Hope you like spaghetti."

I nodded a bit and watched him, staring at his back subtly and watching his shoulder blades moving. "When will it be done? I just got back from Naruto's place, which is why I didn't drive here." I moved over next to him to get a better look at him cooking. He had his hair tied back like usual, although a couple smaller strands were hanging in front of his eyes. His jaw was clenched a bit, making his cheekbones look a little bigger. His eyes were white as usual, but a little softer than they were at school. He really was a handsome man.

"It'll be done soon. And quit staring, idiot." He looked at me and shook his head as he poured the water out of the pot with the noodles in it. "Can you grab two plates for me?" He put the pot of noodles on the counter and stirred what I assumed was the sauce in the other pot. He put something else in the sauce before going and putting noddles on the plates. He plated out the food and handed one to me.

I smiled lightly and grabbed a fork before sitting down at the table and eating slowly. Him and I sat in silence the whole time we ate, the only interaction going on being shared glances across the table. As we both finished he grabbed my plate and started washing them both. I turned around in my chair and frowned at his back, a bit confused. "Hey, Neji?"i stood up and walked over until I was standing right behind him.

He set the plates down and turned, jumping a bit when he saw me. "What do you want? Don't sneak up on me like that." He turned back around and drained the sink.

I blushed a bit and took a step back. "I was just wondering, why exactly did you invite me over?" I looked at him curiously, taking half a step closer. "I mean, you never really asked me to come over before. It was always me asking you over, and you usually don't say yes anyway. Why ask me now?" I shook my head and sighed lightly.

He stiffened up and turned to look at my, frowning. "I told you, Lee left to go help Gaara and I was bored." He pressed his back up against the counter. We were only a couple inches apart at this point, and I could practically feel his body heart radiating onto me. He blushed a bit as he looked at the small space between us.

I sighed lightly and stared at him, taking in the features of his face. His cheekbones were high and made his cheeks look leaner. He had a strong jawline that was slightly clenched as he stared right back at me. His eyebrows looked perfectly manicured and were shaped just right for his eyes. His slightly plump lips parted slightly as he licked his lips, causing me to blush that time. Unconsciously, I leaned forward slightly as if to get abetter look at his face.

"Kiba...?" As he said my name, I couldn't help myself and moved close enough to press my lips against his. I closed my eyes tightly, afraid to see his reaction. I thought he would push me away, call me an idiot, and then stop talking to me for a while. I pulled away and covered my face with my hands. I had promised myself I wouldn't ever kiss him on the mouth like that, and here I am, kissing.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that!" I felt myself turning bright red behind my hands. "I just kind of did and I know you don't like me how I like you..." I heard him say something, but I didn't hear exactly what over my embarrassment. "And you probably hate me now, so I can leave if you want me to..."

"Kiba!" I jumped a bit and pulled my hands away from my face slowly. The next thing I knew, Neji's lips were against mine again and we were pressed together. My eyes went wide and I stared at his face to see if there was any hint of disgust. When I didn't find any, I felt my stomach fill with butterflies. Neji was kissing me! This time of his own free will!

He pulled away slowly and looked at me. "Will you shut up and listen to me?" I blinked a bit and nodded my head up and down. He sighed a bit. "Good. Now, I never said that I didn't like you the same way you like me. You just assumed that because I'm a little tough on you. Another thing, you should stop flirting with me the way you do, because you're making yourself look like an idiot." He stared at me with soft eyes and kept his hands on my cheeks.

I stared at him blankly, not knowing what to say. He... He liked me back? This whole time? I felt myself smiling wide and I flung myself ay him, squeezing him close to my chest. "Neji! You could have said!" I chuckled and picked him up, spinning him around. "Does this mean we're dating?" I set him down again just to be punched in the arm. "Ow! What was that for?"

His cheeks were bright red and he was looking to the side, a gentle huff leaving him. "Obviously. Moron." He turned around and started cleaning up the counter, clearing his throat a bit. "Anyway, go wait in my room. You can put on a show or pick a movie or whatever until I get in there. I have a few things I need to do first." He looked at me and I could tell I still had a huge smile on my face. I nodded happily and walked into his room. I fell back onto his bed and rolled onto my stomach, giggling happily and scooting up toward the pillows. I was happier than I've ever been, and I couldn't do anything but sit there and smile like an idiot.
