Chapter 1: Birth of a Robot
With the advancement of science, humans were able to create industrial humanoid robots to help with different tasks, and they coexist peacefully. Two well known scientists were responsible for such a change. Thomas Light and Albert Wiley. They created dozens of robots to help the community live an easy life.
Today was a very special day as the two scientists were giving a speech about the first few robot masters they created that will help with every day life.
"Let's see…. A new age….. No…. a dawning of a new…." Thomas began.
"I think it needs something different Dr Light," Rock said as she shined his shoes.
Rock was one of Thomas Light's newest creations made to help out in the lab, along with his 'sister' Roll. Rock is the boy with the black hair and the blue t-shirt. Roll is the girl with the blonde hair and the red dress. Remember that now.
"Same old Dr. Light," Wiley said as he walked into the room, "Always thinking of a way to begin a speech. I for one an excited that the world will finally know what we have achieved."
"Would you like a shoe shine?" Roll asked, "My brother is an expert at this kind of thing."
"No thank you," Wiley said before turning to Dr. Light, "Onto other things, I did help design these robots yes?"
"Of course. Why?" Dr. Light asked.
"I feel like I should be on stage with you to make the announcement, among other plans I have."
"Now Wiley, we've talked about this. Ever since that thing you tried to do, people have been uneasy with you around. That kind of thinking would be the downfall of what we worked so hard to achieve."
"Of course, you had to bring that up."
"Now I know you made a few mistakes but I'm quite positive you can make up for them. You may miss out on today, but in the future the world will know your name."
Wiley smiled.
"I'm sure of it," he said as he shook Dr. Light's hand.
Dr. Light went out to talk about his speech. As he was doing so, he thought about the day that Rock was created.
Flashback
Dr. Light was finishing up a few test runs. He was going to create an assistant to help out with lab work. After the schematics were finished he went to work. After a few hours a lab door was opened up, revealing a boy. He opened his eyes.
"He's ready!" Roll said.
"You can get up now."
The boy got up and stood on his two feet.
"Hi," he said, "What's your name?"
"Hello, my name is Thomas Light," Dr. Light said introducing himself, "I created you."
"Does that mean you're my father?" the boy asked.
"In a sense I am Rock," Dr. Light said, "This is Roll. She's your little sister."
"Hi Rock!" Roll said.
She went and gave him a hug. Dr. Light watched as the two hugged and couldn't help but chuckle at it. He then pulled Roll to the side.
"Sorry, just caught up in the moment," she said.
As Dr. Light was giving his speech, two teens were in the crowd listening. One of them had short hair and brown eyes, while the other has longer hair and pink eyes.
"Look at those things," the boy said, "So many cool robots."
"I know right Nicholas," the girl said, "If he could, he'd be able to make great support items for people with quirks, like us."
"Daisy, we don't have quirks," the boy known as Nicholas stated, "We got bio-genes."
As it so happens, quirks weren't the only type of superpower in the world. There were also Bio-genes. Bio-genes are another form of powers, but unlike quirks, they don't have certain drawbacks. Nicholas and Daisy were two kids with bio-genes.
Nicholas' bio-gene allowed him to generate photon around his body. His younger sister's bio-gene was polymorph. Basically it allows her to stretch into many shapes and forms. Quirks still existed in their hometown but they weren't as common.
Dr. Light was talking about the new robot masters who will help out not only with pro heroes, but also in every day life. There was Cutman who would oversee forest management, Gutsman who would help with hazardous conditions, Iceman who would make exploration in the bitter colds easy, Bombman who would help with demolition, Fireman who would help reduce waste and Elecman who would help with electromagnetic management.
"These 6 robots will help with civillians and heroes alike!" Dr. Light said, "Their AI will help them interact with people, and also complete near impossible tasks. I hope to unveil these robots to the future very soon."
"What about the weapons you created like Sniper Joe, inspired by the pro hero, Snipe?" asked a civilian.
"I've decided to end production on those type of weapons," Dr. Light explained, "I want to focus on advancing humanity."
"Meh," Wiley said as he walked away.
Wiley was not one to stop what he began. His desire was to keep the city safe through the use of battle robots. However people saw his work to be too dangerous and demanded that he freeze his work immediately. However little did they know that he continued this work in secret. He would eventually make everyone see what he was.
