"let me handle this tails!" said knuckles pushing tails out of the way. "you got some nerve showing up here rouge! You better be surrendering!"

"look guys this is serious!"

"because what you and shadow did with the chaos emeralds wasn't..." said sally.

"he needed them to fight this guy named scourage!"

the room went silent.

"woah woah woah, time out...did I hear you correctly..." said sonic. "he needed them to fight scourage? what's this guy look like?"

in the back of sonic's mind he remembered, and still does, the name scourage the hedgehog. This scourage, begin the same one who was the anti-him, who had escaped from jail last he had heard of him.

"he's green, has a black jacket and sunglasses." Rouge said. The gang pretty much froze up, not sure what to say.

"no...that can't be right..." said nicole. "the anti-mobious worlds were destroyed after the genesis wave..."

"anti-mobious world?" asked rouge.

"a world just like ours, but the hero's are villains, and the villains are hero's." said tails.

"something fishy is going on here..." said knuckles. "what the hell and of all people would scourage be doing here, better yet, how did he get here?

"alright rouge, you got our attention." sonic said with a sigh, not wanting to risk blowing this off as rouge trying to lie, but at the same time wondering if this was some sort of trap. rouge may not have seen scourage, but shadow had.

"where was he battling scourage?" asked sonic.

"in the forest zone. they still should be there."

"and how did you run into him?" asked sally.

"me, shadow, and omega where walking. omega was running out of battery so he went back to charge, while we where looking for scourage, who stole a locket of shadows that held maria's soul in it."

"from the ark in space?" asked sonic.

"yes. i don't know how he got it on there but he one day plans to use it to bring her back. this green hedgehog suddenly came out of nowhere saying "long time no see." shadow shouted his name and then the two started fighting."

"alright, you got our attention rouge, but just in case this is a trap tails Nicole, stay behind and watch the base, me, sally, and knuckles will go."

"got it." said Nicole.

"ok." Said tails. Usually he would argue about begin left out but it wasn't that long after the incident...and tails didn't want to fail the freedom fighters once more. He also feared that if scourage was there, so would Fiona...and he didn't want the others to know about there encounter beforehand.

Sonic, rouge, knuckles, and sally followed rouge. The 4 all hurried to where shadow and scourage was, and there presents was needed. Shadow was once more slammed against a tree, this time causing it to fall down.

"I don't care if you're the only immortal on this god damn planet...I'm going to make sure you're near death or spend the rest of your life in a comma!"

Scourage used the spinball attack but shadow moved out of the way at the last second. Just then sonic and the gang showed up.

"well I'll be danged..." said sonic, with his arms crossed.

"sonic...long time no see. Real cheap move taking out my whole planet with your god damn genesis wave! Two can play dirty, guess who only needs one emerald to go super!"

Scourage grabbed the emerald and turned into super scourage. His hair pink and his eyes black with dark pupils, his voice now sounding deeper and would echo a bit.

"MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

"what? But how?" said sally stepping back a bit in shock.

"I'll admit, I don't know myself, but if it has anything to do with the rage inside I feel from losing my friends, my kingdom, and my crown...it shouldn't be a surprise..." he said with an evil smile.
