Sally, shadow, rouge, and knuckles were all in shock at this, but sonic seemed unphased somehow.

"so you can turn super, I defeated you last time you did..." he said with his arms crossed looking unimpressed.

"I'm surprised you remember, however there's one detail you did forget, that was on the old world!" scourge said charging at sonic, who dodged scourge's attack.

"this is a whole new world, it's also one that I'm going to take over since you had the god damn audacity to destroy my world!" scourge said once again charging at sonic, who barely jumped out of the way of his attack.

Scourge spin attacked sonic finally hitting the hedgehog and knocking him back a bit.

"sonic!" sally said, scared for her friends safety.

"Omega, do you have that emerald." Asked rouge on her watch speaker.

"I'm on my way master..."

Sonic slowly got up as an angry as hell scourge walked towards him slowly. Scourge grabbed sonic and pulled him up to his face.

"look scourge...I'm sorry you're world got destroyed by the wave, we didn't mean for it to happen...it was eg-"

Scourge punched sonic in the face.

"SORRY WON'T BRING THE DISTRUCTIX'S BACK!" he said. He then kicked sonic right in the stomach. Knuckles tried to intervene but he was quickly pushed back into a tree which fell down with knuckles.

"SORRY WON'T BRING ALL OF THEM BACK! EVEN THE "GOOD GUYS" OF ANTI MOBIOUS ARE DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU AND ALL YOU'RE FREEDOM FIGHTERS!"

"hey we lost people too..." said sonic trying to get up once more, only to be kicked again by scourge.

"now the old world is nothing but a purgatory to all who didn't survive..." said scourge standing over sonic.

"and you'll be joining them..."

He kicked sonic once more, tossing him back even futher.

"sonic!" sally said in a panic.

"don't waste your time you stuck up prick! I'll make sure you get you're kumuffins as well. In fact...why wait..." scourge said charging up an energy ball. He tossed it at sally. Sonic with all the strength he could muster pushed her and him out of the way, narrowly avoiding the ball.

Behind them, an explosion.

Knuckles gave anther shot at scourge but was simply tossed back with one hand by scourge.

"you're gonna have to do better than that!" scourge said. Knuckles tried punching once more, but scourge captured his fist, and sent him flying back into a couple of trees which collapsed as he collided with them.

The forest zone was looking like a war zone because of the battle.

"now where were we shadow..." scourge said.

Shadow slowly got up as scourge walked towards him.

Just then omega came with the red chaos emerald. Rouge took it out of his robot hands and tossed it to shadow.

"please tell me this will help us defeat him..." she said.

"you damn bet it will." Said shadow with a grin before grabbing the emerald. Next thing scourage knew, shadow was golden and red, all powered up with the red emerald he'd keep, that maria gave to him.

"now then scourge...where were we?"

Sally looked up, somewhat shocked that shadow was now in his super form, but at the same time glad.

"be careful shadow..." sally said. "scourge isn't playing around..."

"don't worry about me, if I was you, I'd get your friends and get out of here...things are gonna get ugly. By the way, sorry I stole that emerald..." said shadow.

"at this point...it's the least of my concern..." sally said back. she looked around at the destruction of the forest zone, hoping it wouldn't be the same for the town and freedom fighters HQ.
