Welcome to SY #015. SY's finale. Titled "Finale". The single most creative title I ever came up with… Anyways, it… missed the upload mark of April 29 (by a WHILE). Damn. Been… rather busy for a while, and truth be told, I did not feel like updating anything. So… SY's objective failed! Oh well.

A random thought occurs. It would be HILARIOUS if ORAS arc's story involved Lunatone and Solrock. Like a major involvement. Why? Because assuming Ruby and Sapphire would be 15 to 16 ish in ORAS, that would be 3 to 4 years after Emerald arc. And in SY, 3 years after the fake Kyogre incident (Emerald), it's listed that Ruby and Sapphire had to deal with a Lunatone and Solrock Invasion. Talk about foresight (or random luck). In all fairness, that's probably not going to happen. Because who gives a damn about Lunatone and Solrock? But hey, ORAS is already featuring the Primal Groudon and Kyogre, which I mentioned in the SA2 preview. So… who knows, right?

By the way, new poll on profile. A survey, since I don't think my latest news update method is exactly working out. Again. So there's the survey/poll. This message shall appear on every update that's a part of this mass-update. … So every story's latest chapter.

And because of misjudgment on the remaining content of SY, this chapter is LONG. My mistake. But enjoy anyways. It's still not as long as SA #028 (11000 words!), but it's pretty close though (10000!). And this chapter took a LOT longer than I thought it would. Hence the slow update. My bad.

And for the person who dropped that MASSIVE review on character flaws, check my Tumblr blog posts. The first one of the day, and not the second. If you're seeing pictures, then you're looking at the wrong post.

Chapter 15: Finale

Sapphire watched the hundreds of Deoxys meteors raining down from the sky. She crossed her arms and approached Ruby.

"… This is exactly like that Lunatone and Solrock Invasion, don't you think?"

Ruby shrugged. "I suppose. But if this is anything like that event, then there's probably a weird Deoxys hybrid buried somewhere around here. Which I sort of doubt. … This is probably a lot worse."

"Deoxys?" White muttered as she counted hundreds of the DNA Pokémon all over the place. "How do we… If what I heard is true, then it's a near unstoppable Pokémon…"

"It's a very tough opponent," Blue said. "It can freely change its Forme at will, depending on the situation. If it needs to chase something, it'll go into Speed Forme. If attacking, Attack Forme. To protect itself, it goes into Defense Forme. And should it take damage, it can use Recover to heal itself."

"But it has a major weakness," Green said. "Target its core and its recovery is drastically slowed. It's the only weakness."

"Got it," Sapphire said as she sent out her Pokémon. "Let's do this!"

Blue stopped her. "Wait." She stared at the three Unova Dragons battling the Deoxys swarm. "Some of us should investigate what exactly those three Dragons are defending. Right now, just jumping into the fray gets us very little."

"Right. So Sapphire, Platinum, Black, White, you four go and see what's directly underneath the Dragons. Gold, Crystal, Ruby, follow them until they get there, and distract the Dragons away from them," Green ordered. "We will fight the Deoxys and watch the battle's changes."

White stopped thinking about the swarming Deoxys and followed Black and their seniors towards the Unova Dragons. She watched the 3 Dragons concentrate fire on a Deoxys, only to realize that the Defense Forme was way too tough to even scratch it. The Deoxys then changed into the Attack Forme and blasted Zekrom away with a huge ball of Psychic energy, known as Psycho Boost. White frowned. Even one Deoxys could hold its own against the 3 Unova Dragons. But there were hundreds, if not thousands of them littered around, with constant waves of new Deoxys meteors landing all over the place. Was victory even possible?

The Kyurem screeched angrily and suddenly changed into the White Kyurem forme. It charged up its attack to maximum power and unleashed its Ice Burn. The attack, joined by Reshiram's Blue Flare, managed to pierce through a Defense Forme's durability and tear off a large portion of its body. The Deoxys shook violently, but it regenerated its body with Recover.

White saw the exchange and shook her head. No. A straight-up fight would be disastrous and it was impossible to win.

"How… how do we win against something like this?" she muttered as she watched hundreds of Deoxys attack with Psycho Boost at once.

"There are many types of victories," Platinum said in between breaths, clearly straining herself thanks to the Sapphire-caused injury. "The victory achieved without fighting is the greatest one. In this case, if we find some method of getting the Deoxys to leave, it would be the greatest victory."

"So what are you thinking?" Sapphire asked.

"It is possible that these Deoxys were drawn by something," Platinum replied. "If we find out what it is, we may be able to use it to do the reverse."

"And what if there's no such thing?" White asked.

"Then we fight like hell," Sapphire said. "To the bitter end if we have to."

The Dex Holders soon came across what the Unova Dragons were flying above. It appeared to be a small 3 floor building. A base, perhaps.

"So there really is something," Crystal muttered. "Alright then. Sapphire, Platinum, Black, White, you four go in there. Gold, Ruby, and I will stay out and defend the area as best as we can."

The four Dex Holders quickly entered the structure while Gold, Crystal, and Ruby surrounded it in a defensive stance. Sapphire stopped at a hallway intersection and sniffed at the air, trying to see if she could detect anything peculiar anywhere. She briefly focused on her hearing and soon faced the others.

"Okay. We need to split up into two," she said after a brief thought. "I can hear two distinct groups in this building. One is to the left, the other is to the right. We need to get to both of them and find out what's going on."

"Lady Platinum and I will take the right one," White suggested. Technically, the best partner for this job would be Black, but that meant Platinum and Sapphire had to cooperate. And even though both girls promised cooperation, there was a risk that they would quarrel once again. And that risk could not be taken at a time like this.

And, if White was to work with Sapphire, then Black would be left to Platinum. And to be perfectly honest, White didn't like the way Black was looking at the heiress. Was this… jealousy?

"Fine," Sapphire agreed. She too, felt that working with Platinum might have some problems, and she didn't want to deal with that right now.

The four Dex Holders split up, with Sapphire and Black heading left, Platinum and White heading right.

White held the Pokéball to her Serperior tight in her hand as she ran down the hall. She steeled herself, thinking that this was the opportunity to make up for technically starting this whole series of shenanigans.

She glanced to her side, trying to see the expression on Platinum. The heiress had a lot more experience with this sort of stuff, so she would be an excellent guideline. But Platinum wasn't there.

White stopped running and looked back. She could see her senior a little bit behind, running as fast as she could manage. But she couldn't run that quickly.

"Lady Platinum, are you okay?" White asked as she took a few steps towards the heiress.

"Yes, I am okay," Platinum replied, despite looking quite exhausted and out of breath. She seemed to have realized that her junior wasn't buying the lie. "… Do not worry about me. Focus on the task at hand."

White grabbed her senior by the wrist with her available hand. "I won't leave you behind. I can't. And you don't want to be left behind. So come on, we'll go together."

The two girls continued to run. The current hallway didn't have a whole lot of rooms connected, so they assumed that whatever they were looking for would be at the one room in the far end of the hall.

With their main Pokémon out, the two girls took a few seconds to catch their breaths and barged into the room. There were a few people in the room, looking like scientists, gathered around a series of computers. The moment they saw the intrusion, they began to rapidly type on the keyboards.

White's Serperior smashed its tail into a group of them, knocking them down and away from the computers. Platinum's Empoleon charged forward as well, knocking over the other scientists and protecting the computers so that no more data could be purged.

Platinum approached the computers and examined the monitors. Most had all data purged, but some remained. While the heiress focused on interpreting the data, White grabbed one of the scientists to ask him a few things.

"What were you guys doing?"

"You're too late!" the scientist yelled. "They're already here!"

White glanced through the windows. Another Deoxys meteorite smashed into the ground and another DNA Pokémon burst out of it.

"… I can see that. But what were you doing? Why are they here?"

White's Serperior used its vines to threaten the scientist.

"… We wanted them to come," the scientist blurted out. "We were going to build a device that controlled Psychic types. It didn't work as planned."

Again, White glanced out the windows. Reshiram crash landed from a combined Psycho Boost.

"… I can see that too. But why? Why are you doing this?"

"I don't know. We're just doing what we're told to do!"

White thought for a few seconds before continuing. "There's another group of you guys in the other side of the building. What's that about?"

"The satellite dish," the scientist replied. "That's where it is. It's broadcasting a signal of certain wavelength and frequency into space."

"So if we destroy it or shut it off, the Deoxys wouldn't be lured in here anymore?"

"That's most likely."

'Well, it's a good thing Black and Sapphire went that way. They'll be able to shut it down or at least destroy it.' "… Where's your boss? The one who kidnapped me and captured Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem?"

"He's in the basement."

White got her Serperior to release him. "Alright then. You should all take a look outside and see what you've done. We're going to put a stop to this. If you have any sort of remorse for what you've done, don't try to stop us."

"White, come over here," Platinum said from the side.

"What is it?"

"The satellite is broadcasting a signal aimed at a specific target," Platinum said as she quickly read through the recovered data. "These Deoxys are not lured by the signal. Something else is, and that has brought all these Deoxys here. It is possible that these Deoxys are telepathically connected to a single entity. Perhaps like a hive mind. This theory conflicts with the two Deoxys seniors Red, Green, and Blue have encountered, but it is possible that this hive mind only activates at a certain time."

"Such as an invasion?"

"Yes. So if we shut down the broadcast signal, these Deoxys will continue to attack until the main entity orders them otherwise."

"Then we have to alter the signal," White said. "In a way so we only lure out the leader."

"The access codes are on the boss," one of the scientists said from behind. "And the command console too. This is just a research station."

"Great. Then we'll have to go to the basement," White said. "Come on, Lady Platinum. Let's do this."

The two girls quickly left the research station and headed towards the elevator that led to the basement. On the way, they met up with Black and Sapphire, who were going to the basement as well.

"Miss President, how'd it go?" Black asked.

"We found the research station," White answered. "They lured the Deoxys here with a signal through the satellite. But it's only targeting one entity. So we have to change the signal so we only lure out the one entity. To do that, we need the access codes and command console from the boss."

"The guy who kidnapped you?"

"… Yes."

"Good. We can get some revenge."

"Well, it's a good thing we didn't destroy the satellite," Sapphire said. "It'd suck if we destroyed it and we had to find another way to broadcast the new signal."

As the group approached the elevator, Sapphire suddenly stopped running. She turned to face the wall, focusing on her hearing.

"What's wrong?" White asked.

"Something's…" Sapphire suddenly looked on high alert. "Look out!" she yelled as she quickly shoved all of her juniors away. She pushed Black hard enough so that he would involuntarily ram into Platinum as well, and with her other hand, pushed White with enough force to knock her off her feet. The three Dex Holders all crash landed on the floor just as Zekrom crashed through the wall, just where the group had been.

The Zekrom roared in anger and charged up its Bolt Strike as it flew back into battle. Sapphire coughed from the huge dust clouds created and tried to clear the air around her. Unfortunately for her, the debris had completely blocked off her path, leaving her isolated. She could only hope that her juniors were pushed hard enough to avoid being crushed.

"Is everyone alright?" she yelled, hoping that her voice could be heard on the other side of the wreckage.

From the other side, White coughed and kept her hands over her mouth and nose to prevent the dust from entering her lungs. She ran a brief check over herself and was relieved to see that she wasn't hurt in any way. Well, not from the impact. Sapphire's abrupt power-shove hurt like hell, though. Like a whiplash effect. On all of her limbs.

"Black?" she called, unable to see anything in the thick dust clouds. "Are you okay?"

Black soon gathered his bearings and realized that he was lying on top of Platinum. The girl was pinned underneath him, so he quickly pushed himself off of her and tried to blow away the dust clouds. He moved over to the side and waited for the heiress to get up. But she didn't.

When the dust settled, the two Unova Dex Holders could see Platinum curled up into a ball on her side, with her arms wrapped tight around her ribs, where Black had inadvertently tackled. In pure accident, Sapphire had damaged the same area she had targeted in their fight previously.

"Lady Platinum, are you okay?" White asked as she crawled over to her senior.

The heiress tried to say something, but only pained gasps passed between her lips. She trembled as she struggled to breathe. Each time she tried to take a breath of air, she ended up coughing.

The two Unova Dex Holders dragged their senior away from the wreckage, just in case there were additional hazards. White slowly lifted up her senior's shirt so that she could see the damage. Black looked away and focused on trying to see if there was any way he could reach Sapphire from here.

Platinum gasped in pain as her junior's hand brushed her injury. White stopped and checked where her senior was hurt. She saw a set of horrible dark bruises standing out in Platinum's pale skin just before reaching her undergarments.

"Everyone okay over there?" came Sapphire's voice from behind the wreckage.

"I – I think Lady Platinum broke a rib! Or two!" White yelled, a little panic in her voice.

The heiress pulled her shirt back down and tried to sit up. But she wasn't able to thanks to the blinding pain in her ribs.

"Hold on tight," Sapphire yelled. "I'm going to save you!"

"We… We will be alright," Platinum said painfully. "We will continue to the basement…"

"Okay. I'll find another way there!" Sapphire yelled.

"Lady Platinum, please stay here," White said. "Black and I will continue onwards."

The heiress shook her head. "No. I will not be of any help here. I will continue on as well."

Black and White slowly helped their senior up and supported her from either side and slowly made their way towards the elevator. Platinum clenched her teeth and tried to keep up to her juniors' pace.

"Ungh… This is just like the Bidoof Rebellion," she gasped out as she hobbled as fast as she could. "But now I do not have Mr. Byron around to dig the holes…"

"… I really want to know what exactly happened during that event," White muttered. "But something tells me that I really don't want to know either."

"It was very chaotic."

The group soon reached the elevator. But of course, it wasn't functioning due to the chaos around the building. And the fact that a Legendary Dragon had been smashed through a huge chunk of the wall. But the staircase was right next to it.

Platinum suddenly gasped as the pain in her ribs intensified. She lost strength to her legs and ended up collapsing, much to Black and White's panic. The two Unova Dex Holders still held on to her and slowly set her down on the floor, propped up against the wall.

"Black… White… leave me here," the heiress said between breaths. "This fight against the boss… is your fight. You have personal vendetta against him. I will stay here and make sure no enemy gets in behind you."

"Are you sure?" Black asked.

"Yes. Senior Sapphire is coming as well. Do not worry about me, and go."

White hesitated, but eventually did as told and with Black, headed downstairs. Platinum sent out her Pokémon and tried to relax and alleviate the pain from her broken ribs. She took out her Pokédex so that she could check the data on some of her juniors' Pokémon. But then she noticed something. There were letters forming in the main screen…

Downstairs, the two Unova Dex Holders reached the lowermost floor of the building. White froze when she opened the door out of the staircase. This place… was familiar. In fact, this was where she was taken when she was first kidnapped.

"You okay, Miss President?"

"This… was where I was taken," White muttered. "When I was kidnapped… I was locked in a cell over there. And I was dragged to a large room somewhere around here where I was hit with Psychic and the mind control started…"

Black put a hand on her shoulder. "Miss President, if you feel uneasy about this, you can wait upstairs. I'll take care of this."

"No. This is my fight. And I will see it finished."

White gulped and proceeded to venture down the halls. She eyed the cage where she had been locked, and for a moment, imagined herself still inside. Curled up into a ball, half frozen over, shivering in the cold… weak. No more.

She followed the path that she recalled taking the last time she was here. Or the path she was dragged, anyways. She soon found a familiar looking doorway. She had passed through the exact same set of doors when she was dragged into the chamber with Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem.

"Here. I think this is it," she said as she prepared to open the door. "Okay. Here we go."

"Oh, no you don't," came a voice from behind.

Black and White spun around and immediately had their throats grabbed by a pair of massive hands. White realized that she was staring at the same bulky guard that had dragged her into the chamber the first time. The guard with the oddly high pitched voice given his physique.

The two Unova Dex Holders kicked the guard at the same time. But the kicks did nothing. The guard simply smashed the two Dex Holders into each other face first. White gasped as she felt Black's head smash into hers. She staggered backwards a little from the impact, trying to maintain balance. She was quite dazed from that sudden collision, and as such, she failed to see the next attack.

She felt blinding pain burst from her left cheek and felt her entire body go numb. She felt herself falling, but didn't feel the impact against the floor. Her vision was quite blurred, and she couldn't hear anything. Then she felt something pull her off the floor rather roughly. Only then did she realize that she had been punched in the face, and her body was in a bit of shock.

From the side, Black tried to do something as the guard picked up White by the back of her neck. The girl didn't look like she knew what was going on. Black had tried to do something the moment she was punched, but the guard had kicked him right afterwards. And now, the guard had picked up both Black and White with one hand each, as if they were some oversized ragdolls that only put up a little fight.

The guard simply hurled both Unova Dex Holders backwards, sending them flying several meters before they crashed into the floor.

Black groaned as he sat up. The burns all over his body were still hurting. And being hurled into the floor wasn't going to help with that at all. He looked over to his left, where White lay motionless on her side.

"Miss President!" he yelled as he crawled over. Her eyes were closed, but she was still breathing. "Miss President!"

White gasped as her consciousness returned. She could see Black shaking her a little with a worried expression. She blinked a few times to clear her blurry vision. "Ungh…"

"Are you okay?"

"… No," White groaned out. "… Did that guy punch me in the face?"

"Yeah. I'm going to get him for that."

White grunted as she tried to sit up. "… You don't punch girls in the face… that's just rude…" She glanced at Black and stared at the wrapped bandages still visible here and there. "… Are you okay?"

"I've had worse." Black helped her up to her feet and the two Unova Dex Holders glared at the approaching guard. "Okay. We're going to have to attack him together. Or lure him into the open where we can use our Pokémon."

"Black, White! Duck!" came a female voice abruptly from behind.

White immediately collapsed onto the floor and pulled Black down with her. Just as she hit the floor, she saw a door flying across her vision. She quickly followed it and saw it smash into the guard's face, knocking him off his feet.

White looked where the door came from and spotted Sapphire running over while supporting Platinum. The heiress released herself from her senior's support and leaned against the nearby wall. Sapphire continued running, stopping by Black and White for just enough time to pull them up to their feet.

"Continue onwards," Platinum said between breaths. "I will make sure no one gets in behind you."

"And I'll deal with that guy," Sapphire said as she glared at the guard.

Black rolled off of White and helped her get back up. The guard had gotten back up as well, and Sapphire charged at him, allowing the two Unova Dex Holders to progress without incident.

White opened the door to the chamber once more and after casting a glance at her seniors, went inside. The chamber didn't look any different than the last time she was here. And in the center, where she was subjected to the mind control before, was the man who had kidnapped her.

"You!" Black and White yelled at the same time.

The man turned to face them. He didn't exactly seem prepared for anything. No Pokémon, no devices, nothing. He looked as if he no longer cared about what happened.

"You're the cause of all this!" Black yelled.

"… Why? Why are you doing this?" White asked.

The man smirked. "Isn't it obvious? Domination. Imagine. An army of Deoxys willing to do your bidding. World domination wouldn't get any easier. But of course, an unforeseen complication decided to screw over everything."

"Us?"

"No. The mind control device."

"You had to know the risk you were taking," White said. "You had to know that mind control against Deoxys wouldn't be a guaranteed success."

"We tested it many times. Against Psychic types. Against Legendary Pokémon. Even against humans. There was no reason to think that Deoxys would be completely undeterred by it."

White frowned. "So… Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem… are mind controlled?"

"Yes. Even you were. The three Dragons may have broken you with Psychic, but they weren't the ones controlling you. That would make no sense. The Dragons control you, yet you were given command of the Dragons."

"But if you were going for the Deoxys… why kidnap Miss President?" Black asked.

The man laughed. "A basic decoy and distraction. I kidnap the idol of the region, put everyone into shock. Mind control her, and people wouldn't know exactly what to do. They wouldn't know what I am after, so they wouldn't know how to react. Or at the very least it would've prevented them from taking aggressive actions against me. In their time of indecisiveness, I would've finished preparing for the Deoxys. Once the Deoxys were under my full control, I would've terminated the girl who would've been of no use to me, and I would've taken over Unova in a blink of an eye. From there, I could have expanded to the other regions. A very simple plan that had as many complications as there were steps. Starting with the pesky kid that just wouldn't die, to the unexpectedly fast coordination with the Gym Leaders and Elite Four, the reinforcements from the other regions, and the Deoxys that are not affected in the slightest by the control waves."

"… Why?" White asked. "… Why did you plan to kill me? What did I do to you?"

"Nothing. But you can't expect everyone in the world to love you. Some will want to see you die for absolutely no reason."

"And you will pay for harming her, you bastard!" Black yelled in anger as he sent out his Emboar.

White put a hand on his shoulder. "Wait. Before you do anything… we need to get his access codes so we can stop or recode the control waves."

"He can tell us as long as he's alive!" Black said. "But he has to pay for what he did!"

White released him, as she knew that she couldn't convince him to take it easy. So instead, she chose to look around for the command console that was needed to change the broadcast signal.

Outside, Platinum grunted as she tried to sit comfortably. She had to lean against the wall for support and move slowly to avoid hurting her ribs. Sapphire was still fighting the huge guard. It seemed that the Hoenn Dex Holder really did injure her arm during the fight against Platinum, as she wasn't recklessly attacking all that much.

Platinum paid no attention to her senior and instead, focused on her Pokédex. There were letters formed on the screen. Communiqués. She frowned as she tried to interpret the message. It sounded like a command. An order, from a single source to an army. So the Deoxys army really did have a leader amongst them. And the order given was picked up by the Pokédex, since the Deoxys communicated in binaries, a computer language.

The heiress wondered if she could fabricate an order to the Deoxys, but shook her head. Not with her Pokédex, as it only received the signal, not broadcast it. But the satellite here…

She clenched her teeth and forced her body to stand. The pain forced her to clench her eyes shut, but she still willed her way up. After taking a brief moment to catch her breath, she proceeded to hobble towards the chamber where Black and White went, leaving her Empoleon and Rapidash to defend the entrance. Sapphire hurled the guard away, providing enough space for the heiress to pass without being in danger.

Inside, White was typing away on the command console with the access code given while Black was moving the enemy's boss after getting some revenge. The man's legs were burnt and crushed, obviously from a Heat Crash. So Black had some retribution for the burns he was still suffering from.

"White!" the heiress managed to shout as she hobbled over.

The Unova girl spun around and quickly rushed to support her senior. "Lady Platinum, what are you…"

"I have a plan," Platinum said as she made her way towards the command console. "The Deoxys… they communicate in binaries. The Pokédex we have can pick up their communication signal. Meaning, with the broadcast signal of this satellite, I can fabricate a confusing signal that would convince the Deoxys army to attack each other. Even if that fails, the leader of the Deoxys would sense the fake signal and come down to investigate, which would allow us to focus our attention on it."

"Okay. But can you really fake that kind of signal?"

"Do not doubt me."

"Sorry."

Platinum sat on the chair in front of the command console and began to work. White watched her for a second before she jogged towards the nearest window to see the results. Having found no windows in the large chamber, she decided to stick with the camera feeds from the nearby security computer.

For the next several minutes, nothing really happened. White continued to observe the camera feeds while Black went to look at the beaten up guard.

"… Miss President and I worked together, and he manhandled us with ease," he muttered as he stared at the unconscious and horribly bruised guard. Sapphire was sitting beside the guard, making sure that he wasn't going to get back up any time soon. "And you just come along all by yourself and destroyed him in a minute."

"What can I say?" Sapphire asked with a shrug as she rubbed at her injured arm. "Sparring with Chaka every day really helped out."

"… Wow…"

"You should give it a try, Black. Spar with your Emboar."

"… I think I had my butt kicked enough times already. I'll pass."

Back inside the chamber, Platinum finished typing another line into the console. White immediately noticed a drastic change in the Deoxys army. Each individual stopped coordinating with each other entirely, which severely hampered the effectiveness of the entire army. Some Deoxys began to attack each other while others simply hovered above the ground without doing anything. Clearly, the fabricated signal was working.

"It's working!" White exclaimed.

Platinum finished typing into the console and made her way over to White to see the effects herself on the security computer. She let out a satisfied smile as she saw the chaos amongst the Deoxys.

"Excellent. Now all we need to do is wait," she muttered.

"Lady Platinum, you're incredible!" White said, looking quite awed.

"Our seniors have helped out a lot, remember," Platinum said. "We would not be here if they have not distracted the enemy enough. Speaking of which… we should go outside and assist our seniors. Before long, the leader of the Deoxys will arrive. And we need to be there."

The four Dex Holders in the building soon headed outside. Things were significantly more hectic now, as the Deoxys army was fighting amongst itself. Gold, Crystal, and Ruby met up with the four Dex Holders.

"I assume this is your doing," Gold started. "Seeing how they stopped kicking our asses and are now beating each other up."

"Yes. Now, the leader of the Deoxys will arrive and all we have to do is either convince it to leave or defeat it in order to put an end to this incident," Platinum said between breaths.

Crystal slightly frowned as she observed her junior's movements. "… Are you doing okay? What happened to you?"

White suddenly looked quite worried. "Oh, yeah. I forgot. Lady Platinum might have broken a couple of ribs. She should really get to a hospital soon."

"No, I will not leave like this," Platinum said despite looking quite uncomfortable even though she was only standing.

"Platinum, White's right. You should go to the hospital," Crystal said. "And not because of your own good, but for the others around you."

"… I beg your pardon?" Platinum asked, sounding quite offended. "Are you suggesting that I am not good enough to be of any help?"

"No, no. It's not that at all. Listen. Gold and I already experienced what you went through," Crystal explained. "During the Dunsparce Wars, Gold did something overly reckless and got himself quite injured. I had to go and save him myself, but that proved to be disastrous too."

"We were both… screwed over," Gold said from the side. "She broke an arm and a rib, and I… didn't break anything because I'm made of steel, but I was bleeding a lot."

"Of course, we both tried to fight on anyways," Crystal continued. "But because we were both injured, our friends and allies were so worried about our condition that they couldn't focus on fighting the enemy. If Silver didn't force us into the sidelines, who knows what could've happened."

"… So to ensure that the others focus on the battle… I must leave?" Platinum muttered. She still looked and sounded upset, but appeared to have accepted the decision. "… If that is for the greater good…"

"I'm so sorry, Lady Platinum," White said gently. "I know how much you want to stay and fight with us. But I'm really worried about you."

The heiress looked at her junior rather bitterly. "… Just win. That is all that you can do for me."

"Sapphire, take Platinum over to the nearest hospital," Crystal ordered. "And get yourself checked out too. I saw you favoring your arm multiple times already. So go take care of it."

"… Do I have to?" Sapphire asked. "I mean… I can still fight pretty well."

"That is quite true," Black said from behind. 'And of course, no one asks me if I should get medical attention. Ow, the burns…'

"You're not as hurt as Platinum, but still. Go check yourself out in the hospital. Then, if and only if the doctors say that you're okay, come back to help us," Crystal said.

Sapphire sighed. "Fine…" She supported Platinum from the side and sent out her Tropius. She set the heiress on it first before jumping on and soon headed away from Lacunosa Town.

Once the two Dex Holders left, everything suddenly fell quiet. Too quiet. The remaining 5 Dex Holders looked around the battlefield. Red, Green, and Blue were in the distance, observing the area too. All the Deoxys have stopped fighting each other and were now looking straight up at the sky.

Something was launched from the giant… thing in the sky. And it fell straight towards the satellite building.

"Whoa! Let's get out of here!" Gold yelled as he quickly grabbed Crystal and ran.

Ruby activated his Running Shoes and grabbed both Black and White before running to a safe distance. The object smashed into the building before the Dex Holders could get to a safe distance, however, and the resulting blast sent all 5 flying forward.

Crystal coughed as she sat back up. "Everyone okay? Gold?"

"Of course I'm alright! I'm indestructible!" Gold said as he got back to his feet.

"That's what you said last time and look how that turned out," Crystal replied as she stood up.

Ruby, Black, and White were up on their feet as well, and all 5 Dex Holders stared at the remnants of the building. Red, Green, and Blue arrived by their side as well, having spotted the destruction. All 3 Kanto Dex Holders seemed perfectly okay, though a little tired maybe.

Strong light started to emanate from the crash site. All the surrounding Deoxys were facing it, waiting for something to come out.

Soon, something rose out of the crash site. A Deoxys core, glowing brightly as it gathered enough energy to generate a body. The Deoxys body started to form around the core, but in a shape that was unfamiliar. It had two sharp tentacles and two flat ones, oriented in a way that the two flat tentacles could defend the core while the two sharp ones could still attack at the same time. Two legs formed below the core, also unlike normal Deoxys legs. They were still quite long and sharp, but with sharp spikes coming out of both knees and above and below. The head shaped like a Gallade's, as if the Normal Forme head had merged with the Attack Forme's.

The intense light faded as the body finished forming. And immediately, the Dex Holders could see that this Deoxys was different than all the others. The unusual shape aside, the body was completely golden.

The golden Deoxys immediately charged towards the Dex Holders in a speed that matched the Speed Forme's. Green's Charizard blasted it with Fire Blast, but the attack did no damage to it whatsoever, as a psychic barrier repelled the hit. The Dex Holders reacted fast enough to dodge the charge, but the resulting wind was still strong enough to knock them all down.

White struggled up to her feet. She was a bit too close to the Deoxys when it flew past her, and the resulting wind blast had hit her on the head. She was very dazed and found it very difficult to focus on anything. But she forced herself to concentrate and looked around for the Deoxys.

The golden Deoxys had its limbs stretched with small Psycho Boost energy balls gathered at the end of each tentacle. The energy balls suddenly grew and the golden Deoxys merged them all into one giant Psycho Boost.

White got her Serperior to use Leaf Storm. Black got his Emboar to assist with Fire Blast. But the two attacks were simply neutralized by the psychic barrier around the golden Deoxys.

"… That Deoxys…" White muttered in shock. "… Has the Defense Forme's barriers…"

"And Speed Forme's speed," Black added.

"And Attack Forme's attack power," Gold finished for them. "So… you might want to dodge!"

The golden Deoxys launched the Psycho Boost at White, who was the first to attack it while it was charging. White stared at the doom-ball in shock. There was no way she could avoid the blast. And there was no way that enough firepower could be combined to neutralize that attack. So what could she do?

The girl's Serperior used Solarbeam against the incoming death-ball. Black's Emboar joined in. Every Pokémon of the Dex Holders combined effort into neutralizing the Psycho Boost, but the attack kept coming.

White shook her head. No… there was no solution to this… There was no…

A huge blast of blue fire and iced red fire attacks struck the Psycho Boost. Blue Flare and Ice Burn… from Reshiram and White Kyurem. They were helping too, as the golden Deoxys had destroyed the signal satellite that had controlled them.

Even so, the attack was still coming. It was getting dangerously close…

"Get down!" Black yelled as he quickly reached out for White.

The girl blinked. The Psycho Boost was still aimed directly at her. The combined attacks were still hitting it. Even then, White knew that the Psycho Boost was way too strong. It would still hit her. Or at least too close to her and the splash damage would probably kill her. She thought of jumping out of the way, but her legs were frozen. And of course, the blast radius would be too large.

Black's hand grabbed her shoulder and yanked her backwards. She then felt his arms wrap around her body as she fell. She hit the ground hard, but felt nothing. Even as Black moved on top of her, she felt nothing as she was in too much of a shock.

Something flew into the path of the Psycho Boost. Something enveloped in a large ball of electricity… Zekrom and Bolt Strike. The Psycho Boost collided into the combined attacks and caused a huge explosion. The Psycho Boost itself may have been neutralized, but the explosion was more than enough to engulf both Unova Dex Holders and send them flying away.

White crashed into the ground and felt something crack. Probably her shoulder or something. Even though she couldn't hear much because of the shockwaves, she could still move her body. She felt no pain yet. … And then it came.

"Ugh…"

That wasn't her voice though. It came from beside her. She slowly turned her head and spotted Black lying beside her, with his back turned to her. White blinked a few times just so she could understand what she was looking at. A lot of red… blood?

"… Black…"

White snapped out of her shock when she realized what happened. Black had shielded her from the explosion. And as a result, the burns that covered his body have been worsened. Or he got new burns and wounds over his existing ones. White crawled over towards him and rose to her knees. She pulled Black towards her and noticed that he was still conscious and alive, but in horrible pain.

"Black… what… why…" she stammered out, unable to ask the most urgent question.

"Miss President," Black muttered through clenched teeth. "I can't let you get hurt… I have to protect you."

White felt her tears fall from her eyes. "But… why risk yourself? … Black… if… if you…"

"I'll be alright. It looks a lot worse than it is. And I'd rather it be that I suffer instead of you." Black forced his burnt body to sit up and turned to look at the golden Deoxys, which was engaging the three Unova Dragons. "… We really need to do something about that thing, Miss President…"

"How? It's… it's impossible to damage it," White said, her voice still shaking.

"Maybe not," Blue's voice came from behind.

The two Unova Dex Holders saw their senior approach and waited for her to speak again. Blue looked up at the golden Deoxys and sighed.

"Obviously, we can't fight it head on," she started. "No matter how much Red, Green, and Gold would want to. We have to exploit its weakness."

"What weakness?" White asked.

"Right now, our attacks won't even scratch that thing because of its barriers," Blue said. "But if we get it to lower that barrier, we can hit it at full power. And as a Deoxys, it has a common weakness. Electromagnetism."

"… That's its weakness?"

"Yes. Deoxys has computerized thought processes. Which is why it can communicate with a Pokédex. And all computerized processes shut down temporarily under electromagnetic pulses." Blue took out a fist sized device from her bag. "And this is the pulse generator. Press the red button and it detonates after a short while. Of course, it's harmless to people."

White received the device and stared at it. "… Why give it to me?"

"Because that Deoxys is aiming for you," Blue said. "That Psycho Boost was aimed only for you. And even right now, it's trying to aim for you."

White looked up and saw the golden Deoxys look at her for a second before it had to focus on the Unova Dragons.

"So… when it comes towards me…" she started.

"You'll have an opportunity to use that pulse generator." Blue thought for a couple of seconds and cast a glance at Black. "Then again… I don't know. Maybe someone else should do this."

"No," White said as she strapped the pulse generator to her Pokémon belt. She took a few seconds to gather her resolve. "I started this. Technically. I should be the one to finish it."

Black forced his body up. He stumbled a little, which prompted White to support him. He regained balance and faced White.

"Miss President… if things go badly…"

"I'll be okay…"

Black wanted to say something, but he couldn't think of the right words. So instead, he pulled her a little closer and kissed her. White looked quite surprised, but very happy.

She blinked a few times once the kiss ended. "Black… I thought we…"

"That was temporary. You know I still love you," Black said. He gently pulled her close for a hug. He glanced up and saw the golden Deoxys striking down the three Unova Dragons at once. "… Kick its ass, Miss President…"

White nodded as she let her tears fall. She wanted the embrace to last longer. She wanted to enjoy the feeling of being loved again. Though it hadn't been that long since that "breakup", it still felt too long, and she felt quite lonely.

But the golden Deoxys didn't let the embrace continue, as it charged straight towards the two Unova Dex Holders. It really had a grudge on White for attacking it while it charged that first Psycho Boost.

Black saw the golden Deoxys incoming and quickly spun around, putting himself in between White and the DNA Pokémon. The Deoxys struck him with its flat tentacles and knocked him away, thus clearing the path to White.

The girl quickly reached for the pulse generator. The golden Deoxys saw the motion and thrust its sharp tentacle at her. The tentacle stabbed her through her right shoulder, forcing her to abort reaching for the pulse generator.

"Ah!" White gasped as the tentacle tore through her flesh. Through the excruciating pain, she still reached for the pulse generator with her good arm.

The golden Deoxys aimed its other sharp tentacle at her, but it had to abort as Blue's Blastoise began to hammer it with Hydro Pump. Instead, it chose to slam its flat tentacle into White's chest, pushing her away and thereby freeing its other sharp tentacle.

Using its flat tentacles to strengthen its barrier, it prepared to charge towards Blue with its sharp tentacles. Red and Green combined their attacks from the distance, however, keeping Deoxys occupied long enough for the other Dex Holders to join in and combine their attacks.

The golden Deoxys charged forward, but Blue had enough time to get out of its way. The combined attacks kept pushing against the golden Deoxys, slowing its physical attacks. As such, it had to resort to ranged attacks, which provided the Dex Holders enough time for coordination.

From a few meters away, White gasped for air and found very little. She looked down at her chest and saw red. A lot of red. She clenched her eyes and gasped again as she felt excruciating pain from her right shoulder. She forced herself to look and saw the large gaping wound made by the Deoxys tentacle. Enough blood had spilled from that wound to soak her shirt. And that Deoxys strike must've caused some other damage, as it was hard to breathe. … Maybe that was just her overreacting. Maybe…

The girl clenched her teeth and put her good hand over the wound to stall the bleeding. Bleeding or not, there was something she had to do. The golden Deoxys was preoccupied in trying to deal with the combined attacks from all the other Dex Holders. And it probably thought that she was way too hurt to continue fighting, as it had its back turned to her completely. And it was correct. Partially.

Yes, she was quite injured. She couldn't even feel her right hand. But that wouldn't stop her from fighting. All this chaos would end, and she would be the one to do it. It felt… right.

White forced her battered and bruised body to stand. The golden Deoxys was still several meters away, with its back turned to her. Good. With her bloody hand, she reached for the pulse generator Blue had given her. … Did the Kanto Dex Holder always carry stuff like this? There was no way she would've known about the Deoxys invasion, as no one knew until like… an hour ago. White would have to ask her once all this ended.

She held the pulse generator, or in layman's terms, an EMP grenade as she thought about its effects. It wouldn't harm her or any other person. But it would shut down all electronics in the blast radius (5 meters) for a few hours, and it would disrupt any and all computerized thought process for a short while too. So Pokémon such as Metagross, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, and Regigigas would experience a brief shutdown in that blast radius. And more importantly, so would Deoxys. Even though Deoxys is not mechanical in any way, electromagnetism disrupts its vision. And apart from the binary communication, it could directly communicate with another Deoxys through a certain electromagnetic wave (a handshake signal). So if that electromagnetic wave was to hit it with an overwhelming intensity, it would shut down for just enough time for the combined ultimate attacks to destroy or severely damage the core.

Or so the theory goes. Only one way to find out.

White limped towards the golden Deoxys. The Deoxys was still preoccupied in trying to neutralize the combined attacks. Good. White reached forward with the EMP grenade, with her fingers feeling around the primer. The combined attacks stopped, as the other Dex Holders saw her and their Pokémon needed to take a breather.

The golden Deoxys felt White's presence and spun around, using its flat tentacles to hammer the girl in the chest, thus knocking her down to the ground.

White screamed as she felt something break. But that didn't matter. The EMP grenade was still in her hand… But the impact had knocked the wind out of her, and she couldn't get back up to her feet.

The Deoxys stabbed her in the other shoulder with one of its sharp tentacles, and forcefully lifted her off the ground. White clenched her eyes shut as she felt her flesh and bones start to tear in her shoulder.

The golden Deoxys vibrated as it tried to say something to her in binaries. White hadn't a clue as to what it was saying, and she didn't care. Just before she lost all feelings to her newly injured arm, she pressed the EMP grenade's primer and dropped it on the ground.

"… We won," she seethed out, trying to maintain her consciousness through the unbearable pain. "… You hear me? We won, you son of a-"

The golden Deoxys pulled its other sharp tentacle back and thrust it straight towards her heart. The EMP grenade detonated.

Green saw the pulse and ordered a full powered strike. Red and Crystal used Frenzy Plant. Green and Gold used Blast Burn. Blue and Ruby used Hydro Cannon. Since Black was unconscious, he couldn't give any orders, but his Emboar decided to join with Flamethrower. The Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem joined with Dragon Pulse as well, though they have been significantly weakened.

White didn't know what exactly happened. She felt life-draining pain from her chest just as she felt a severe tingle all over her body. She didn't know what hit first. The EMP, or the Deoxys tentacle. Either way, she felt her vision tunnel and the periphery of her vision turned blood red. But she mustered all of her strength to glare at the golden Deoxys. It was the only thing that she could see now. She saw its core turn dull and its eyes go blank as it was affected by the pulse. By the time it recovered from the EMP blast, the combined ultimate attacks had already hit it from behind.

White simply closed her eyes. Everything had turned blindingly bright as the combined attacks were only a foot away from her face. Then she felt nothing and saw only darkness.

Crystal watched the combined attacks push Deoxys. It was trying to recover, but it couldn't fast enough. But it wasn't taking enough damage. Not yet. Something else had to hit it…

Then it came. Another Blast Burn hit it from the side along with a Hydro Pump. The attacks hit the Deoxys from the side, and created an explosion as they collided with the joined attacks. Crystal looked where the attacks had come from and spotted Sapphire's Blaziken and Platinum's Empoleon in the distance, with the two girls following behind them. So they disobeyed the order to go to the hospital… good… for now.

Crystal looked where the explosion took place. Nothing was in sight. The golden Deoxys, or White.

There were still hundreds of normal Deoxys scattered around, but they were not attacking. Instead, now that the source of the attack order had ceased to exist, the Deoxys had no reason to fight. One by one, they flew off towards the sky, returning to the large object still hovering above atmosphere.

The three Unova Dragons roared at the Deoxys and soon split off to go their separate ways. The Dex Holders watched them leave to ensure that this incident was over. The older Dex Holders all gathered together and congratulated each other. This event was now an addition to their existing long list of accomplishments. And once again, the only things left to do were help repair the damages and comfort those that needed comforting…

Enemy boss to White: "Some would want to see you die for absolutely no reason." Yes. Some. Hint, hint, eh? … No, don't look at ME, damn it! I'm not the one who demands her death every other chapter! Go look at my Tumblr blog's latest update! White is not, was not, and never will be my least favorite Dex Holder!

But alas, White… is gone again. … Or is she? She could've just been blasted away. We'll never know. … Oh wait…

Post Ending:

Black forced his battered body to move as fast as possible as he scanned around the wreckage. Where… where was she? Where was White? Blue had told him what happened the moment he regained consciousness … White was way too close to the combined ultimate attacks and the explosion that followed. Was she… vaporized? He shook his head. He couldn't bear thinking such horrible thoughts.

He followed the track of the combined attacks. Not a lot was visible since the blast had destroyed everything in its path. But here and there, he saw something crimson. Blood drops, by the looks of them. They were too far scattered, however…

'No, no… She can't die…'

Black increased his pace somehow. He just had to find her. He continued to hobble in a straight line, trying to find anything unusual in the blast line. There was nothing to be found in the exploded area, where Sapphire and Platinum's attacks have collided with everyone else's. Just a decent sized crater. Nothing more.

Eventually, he came across a destroyed building. The building had been destroyed by the initial Deoxys army fighting the Unova Dragons, but it was worth a search as it was pretty close to the explosion crater. He was going to search that building inside and out if he had to, as it was the only place where White could be. The moment he entered the remnants of the building, he jumped in surprise.

He found a body.

Even though the body was covered with deep and minor wounds with lots of blood, it was clear that the body was White. The girl was lying face up in a small puddle of her blood, with her eyes closed. Black trembled violently as he kneeled beside her. Was she dead? She wasn't moving at all. And it was foolish to think that she survived such an attack. The golden Deoxys had tried to stab her in the heart moments before the combined ultimate attacks hit. There was no way she-

White gasped. Black doubted his ears. There was no way. But then White began to tremble as she struggled for air. She was choking on her blood in her throat, but she was alive…

Black blinked repeatedly and stared at her. The gaping wound in her chest… it wasn't where her heart was. The EMP blast had occurred first, which had altered the Deoxys tentacle's trajectory a little, thereby stabbing through some of her non-vital organs instead of her heart. And when the ultimate attacks hit, the golden Deoxys had restored its barriers. Or a part of it. Because the combined beam had already hit it from behind and was continuously streaming, the barrier could not be formed from the back and only the front half had formed. Which meant that while the golden Deoxys did not benefit at all from the barrier, White did, as she was on the other side of that barrier. And the beam had pushed both the Deoxys and the girl in a straight line until the beam exploded, which vaporized the Deoxys core but not White, as she was already too far away from the blast and the fading barrier had blocked all of the shockwaves… it was a miraculous survival.

"Miss President!" Black cried out as he gingerly embraced the girl's body. White continued to choke and gasp for air, but she had opened her eyes. Well, eye. She had a gash over her left eye, so she could only open her right one. And she had managed to open it barely enough to look at him. "I'm so happy you're alive!"

White couldn't talk, as too much of her blood was clogging her throat. She couldn't breathe, but she smiled. A genuine, happy smile, and not the kind someone had right before their death.

Black kissed her on the lips. He didn't care about the blood. She was alive and that's all that mattered. And of course, the first thing he was going to do was take her to the hospital. He wasn't going to let her die in his arms because he was too distracted to save her.

"We did it… You did it… It's all over…"

Well, look at that. White survived (I lied about her death). So, incident quelled, no casualties. Woo! … How many of you thought that White was going to die? And how many thought that she was going to die just because she's White? For those in the latter: shame on you! I don't hate White! … Admittedly, I did temporarily consider in having her die here. But that would not accomplish anything new. So instead, she just almost died. See, she's not quite dead. And is getting better. See, she traded in her personal well being for screen time. Results? You tell me.

Now, there was an experiment during this chapter. The results will be posted on my Tumblr blog in about a month, depending on the number of reviews that are directly related to the said experiment. So if no one says anything related to that, no Tumblr update.

The final battle of SY also had an influence from the discussions with my friend (DX 2401PT of Serebii forums, who I shall always refer to as simply "PT" from now on). The golden Deoxys? It's shiny, and it's not in any known forme. So what is it? Deoxys Ultimate Forme. Because why not? Have the most imbalanced Pokémon in history. Though it's still screwed to the likes of Seismic Toss. PT always wanted that. One day, he says. Deoxys was left out of the "Mega Evolution" thing, but maybe eventually something like that could occur. (… Nah…)

Now then. Thank you all for reading. This experiment story was… quite a success, I feel. Lots of data gathered for possible future work. Can't say for sure that they'll exist, but can't say for sure that they won't exist either. But this is for certain: there will no longer be any stories that involve more than 3 generations of Dex Holders gathering at once. So keep an eye out for those kinds of things, and I'll see you all (or most or some or a few) in the other stories.
