Well, I WAS going to keep SY epilogue-less, but that recent SA update (advertisement, see below) has kind of screwed with my story-order, where the earliest completed stories are listed on the bottom. So, I had to give this thing an epilogue. Not too bad, since there were leftover ideas that could form an epilogue to start with. Great, now SY is 16 chapters long. Why not, right? Break every plan I had for it. Missed the 1-year mark for the final update and now missed the total chapter count. Why not.
Unlike the SA's epilogue, SY's does NOT have every Dex Holder in it. Only those in the main focus and those that need "closure".
But before getting to the epilogue…

Epilogue:
The crisis was over. Apart from the citizens of Unova, people were generally unaware of the threat. Unova Dragon rampage and a Deoxys invasion in a foreign region? Nothing of interest there for people of Kanto and Johto.
Platinum returned to her home 3 days after the crisis in Unova. Though she was out of the hospital after the first day (a couple of broken ribs wasn't much), she stayed around for a couple more so she'd heal enough to be able to hide her injury, and so that she could see how her junior White was doing before returning to Sinnoh.
Now, here she was, back to her home of Sandgem. Her ribs still hurt, but nothing overly major. As long as she didn't show it, she'll be fine. Otherwise, she'd have a platoon of maids and servants flooding around her to take care of her. She didn't want to create a fuss.
The moment she arrived at the front door, the guards ran up to her to greet her. She individually put them at ease and ensured that she was okay before entering her home. This minor fuss repeated with the maids and servants inside, but Platinum quickly calmed them down too.
She let out a sigh of relief as the maids and servants went about their business, completely unaware of the girl's injury. Good.
Platinum took a brief moment to calm herself too. It was good to be back home. Even if she was still very worried about her parents. She last contacted home the previous night, and Diamond told her that her parents were doing fine. But she was still worried.
Speaking of which, where was Diamond? Or Pearl?
The heiress decided that her parents came first and headed towards the room where her parents were recovering. She stopped at the door to take a few breaths. She was so nervous… She could only hope that her parents were okay, and that she did not doom them by leaving for Unova.
She knocked on the door to alert them of her presence and soon opened the door. To her joy, she found her parents sitting on their beds, reading the news. They saw her and immediately smiled.
"Hello, Platinum. Welcome home," said her mother.
The heiress put her hands over her mouth and didn't know what to do as she was so happy. She quickly ran towards them and hugged them. They gently patted her on the back, relieved to see their daughter back safe and sound.
"Mother, father, I am so happy to see you like this," Platinum said, almost sobbing. "I was so worried…"
"And we were worried about you. How did it go?" her father asked.
"We solved the problem," Platinum answered. "I will give you the details later. Right now…" She simply hugged her parents once more.
"Platinum, be sure to visit Diamond," her mother said after a while. "He was really anxious to see you again. And he has been taking such good care of us."
"Yes, mother. I will visit him later today and thank him for watching over you. I miss him very much as well."
"Good. Rest now, Platinum. I am sure it has been a chaotic couple of days."
…
One month later…
…
Red returned home to Pallet Town after another… job. As usual, he found Blue strolling nearby with her baby daughter in her arms. She greeted him with a smile and a wave, and Red waved back. It was nice to be home. The 7 years he spent away from his life weren't all that great, to be honest. He was just afraid to return, but now that he was back, he had no reason to go away again.
Sure, he took on jobs every now and then. He had to do something. It also helped bringing in money. He couldn't live off of Green and Blue forever. They assured him he could, but that wasn't right.
Red sat on a chair on the balcony of his house and leaned back. He simply watched Blue play with her daughter, and it felt so good to see her so happy.
He slowly fished out a picture from his pocket. A picture of Yellow, a year before her death. He kept it close at all times, and this was no exception. He stared at her face for a long while before he smiled and put the picture away.
"… I wish you were here, Yellow," he muttered quietly. "But for now, this will do."
…
As always (or most of the time), it was a perfectly peaceful day in Cherrygrove City of Johto. Gold and Crystal enjoyed the pleasant weather as they slowly made their way towards the most famous dating site of all of Johto.
Gold kept his hands stuffed in his pockets. In his right pant pocket, he held onto something. Something very… important. And the true reason behind this "date" with Crystal. Crystal didn't like calling it a date. She preferred… field trip scouting. She was scouting possible locations for a field trip for the kids in the orphanage. And she was just going with Gold. Yes. That's what it was. And it just happened that Gold was taking her somewhere that she wanted to scout out. Coincidence. For sure.
Gold timed his move. Crystal was talking about something, but he wasn't paying any attention. That wasn't important. For now. He purposely slowed his pace a little so that Crystal would end up walking ahead of him. He did it naturally, as if he was distracted by something inside a nearby store.
Crystal didn't notice and walked ahead. Good. Now this next step had to be perfect. He could not fumble here. He had to do this absolutely perfe-
He tripped on the curb, crashing down onto the sidewalk. Excellent! And he even made enough sound so that Crystal had turned to see him.
"… You okay, Gold?" she asked with a short laugh.
"Yeah…" Gold muttered as he moved to a crouching position so that he could brush some dirt off of his knees.
Crystal frowned a little and approached him. Normally, he would have jumped up to his feet and pretend that he didn't fall. But he wasn't doing that this time, and that got her curious. And maybe a little worried. Maybe.
"Are you hurt?" she asked, scanning his knees to see if he was bleeding.
"Just my pride," Gold muttered. "But… this…" He suddenly dropped one knee and pulled out the object he was holding onto so dearly in his pocket. He opened it up and held it high.
Crystal's mouth gaped open in shock. She simply froze up as she stared at the little object. … An engagement ring…
"Surprise! … Well, Crys? Will you marry me?"
Crystal couldn't reply and she simply stared at the ring. Oh, she had avoided this for a long while now… Every time Gold offered to take her out to a fancy restaurant, she refused because she saw this coming. Not that she hated him or the idea. But she didn't know how to respond and she was too embarrassed. She didn't want him to see her panic. People on the streets have stopped walking and were all looking this way. Great. Now they were waiting for her response as well.
Crystal took a nervous gulp. She couldn't believe it. She was caught off guard. Ambushed. By the one person who couldn't possibly catch her off guard. … There was no way that Gold thought of this on his own. Ambushing her like this in the middle of the street… this was definitely an advice from someone else. Platinum, maybe? White?
But she couldn't help but smile. Maybe she was waiting for this moment? Maybe she wanted this moment to be perfect and stalled all this time from the fear that it may not be perfect… Either way, the time has come.
'What am I so afraid of?' Crystal smiled brightly and grabbed his hands. Her own hands were trembling, so she needed to hold on to something. She could feel her tears starting to form in her eyes. She had to hurry now. 'I guess I have no choice…' "… Yes…"
…
In Unova, things weren't as… peaceful. The Deoxys invasion had actually occurred all over the region, though not nearly as concentrated as Lacunosa Town. As a result, there were catastrophic damages done all over the region. Lacunosa was basically a wreck, and even Opelucid, thanks to the initial attack of Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem.
Although the crisis had ended a month ago, things were still rather chaotic in parts, thanks to the large scale reconstruction that had to be done.
White stared at her computer monitor. What she was seeing… she did not like, at all. But she had no choice here. After that Unova Dragon chaos that immediately led to a Deoxys invasion, many cities of Unova were in shambles. With astronomical damages. And, in order to prevent the loss of her reputation, White had to use her two companies' income to help with repairs. And thanks to that, the expenses were through the roof.
White quickly calculated her financial standing after this. Oh boy. She'd be bankrupt in a month or so at this rate. And the damages were going to take a while to fully repair. What to do… get a loan? … Getting a loan from a bank would screw her over in the long run thanks to the interest. She could just use less in reconstruction, but that could have some repercussions.
A thought occurred and White perked up. But… she wasn't sure if she should pursue the idea. … She had no choice.
She pressed a series of buttons on her Xtransciever. Because it was a call to a Pokégear, the screen remained blank.
"Hello?" came a soft female voice from the other side a few seconds later.
"Um… h – hi," White started nervously. "Lady Platinum… it's White."
"Oh, White. How are you doing?" the heiress asked, sounding a little cold. But unintentionally, as her tone was bright. How those two were mixed together… who knew.
"Am I interrupting something?" White asked.
"I am with Diamond at the moment, but he is busy," Platinum said. "So why did you call me?"
Again, sounded cold unintentionally. "Um… I… I'm in a little bit of trouble and I need your help," White blurted out.
"Oh? What is it?"
"After that Deoxys invasion, I've been paying for the repairs. And… there are a lot of damages. I'm going to be bankrupt in a month… Can you please help me? I wouldn't ask you if I had any alternatives. Of course I'll pay you back as soon as I can…"
"Certainly. How much do you need?" the heiress asked calmly.
"I know it's too much to ask of you," White said, feeling nervous and uneasy for no particular reason. "After all, it hasn't been long since we met…"
"It is okay. How much do you need?"
"Again, I'm really sorry. I'll repay you as soon as I'm back up."
Platinum's tone still didn't change. "I will ask you for the third time. How much do you need?"
White gulped. Her senior sounded angry. Or was that just her imagination? Platinum's tone actually hadn't changed at all, so… "Um… it's… 200 million…"
White braced herself. It was way too much money and she was sure that Platinum was going to give her an earful. Soon. … Eventually. Here it comes…
… Huh?
"Consider it done," the heiress said nonchalantly. "I will go over to Unova to deliver the money to you personally."
"O – Oh, you don't have to do that, Lady Platinum!" White said. "You can just… mail it!"
"No. Diamond and I will be going to Unova anyways, as such I can deliver the money to you with ease."
"Um… Thank you so much. I can't repay you enough for helping me out like this… Thank you."
"It is nothing. I will see you soon."
The heiress soon hung up and White let out a sigh of relief. She didn't know why she was afraid to talk to her senior. She was actually really kind. She just sounded cold. But she didn't mean anything.
Regardless, White succeeded in borrowing a boatload of money. With it, she could continue aiding in reconstruction and still invest money into her two companies to increase income. Increased income meant faster she'd be able to repay her senior.
She slowly rubbed her tired eyes and drank some water. She regretted that decision, as she felt another wave of severe pain in her chest. No, nothing related to her health. She wasn't suffering from a heart attack. This was just one of several aftermaths of her encounter with the golden Deoxys. That thing had stabbed her through the chest and though none of her vital organs were screwed over, she was put into a critical condition. She would make a full recovery, eventually. A year, maybe?
Until then, the doctors told her to take things easily. She had to prevent her heart from beating too quickly, she had to swallow food very slowly and not drink too much at once. Not even a full sip. Maybe a half of a sip. This also meant no running, no jumping, nothing mentally stressful, absolutely nothing physically stressful, and she couldn't get too excited. She was fine with all the others, as they were expected and easily taken care of (if she remembered). The last one… no. She can't get excited… how horrible. So no more movies from Pokéstar Studios. No Pokémon battles. Especially no wild Pokémon battles. If she ran into a shiny Pokémon, she could die! Cause of death? Over excitement induced circulatory system failure. Now that is an embarrassing way to die after surviving being mauled a few times by a golden Deoxys from space. It was like surviving a Draco Meteor from a Hydreigon, only to die to a Tackle from a Caterpie.
White jumped in surprise thanks to a sudden knock on the door. She groaned as she put a hand over her heart and took a few seconds to calm down. Yes, this was another thing she had to look out for. She couldn't be surprised. Technically, all she had to do was make sure that her heartbeats were regular and calmed. She just had to watch out for anything that could increase the frequency and therefore elevate blood pressure. Which was basically everything in the world!
At least things weren't as bad as it was right after the incident. She healed a little, enough to make everyday life not life threatening. When Black offered to take her out on a date 3 days after the Deoxys incident, she had to be carried over to the hospital from being too excited.
White slowly rose to her feet and slowly made her way over to the door. She had to take everything nice and easy…
Eventually, she reached the front door and opened it. To her surprise (damn it!), she found Black waiting in the doorway.
"Hey, Miss President," he said with a bright smile. "Are you doing okay today?"
"I am now," she lied with a bright smile of her own. Technically, she was happy now, and not okay. But screw it. If she was happy, she'd recover faster!
"Good. Do you think you healed enough to go for dinner?" Black asked with a slightly worried expression. "The last time I asked you…"
"I know, that was horrible," White said with a short sigh. "But I think I'll be fine today. I'm still standing, aren't I? As long as you don't do anything super impressive, I think I'll survive tonight."
"Alright! I booked a nice table for us in Nimbasa City's finest restaurant!"
White's heart started to race. She groaned. "… What did I just tell you? I'm getting excited!"
Black looked worried now. "But I toned it down though. I actually wanted to go to Castelia, but I thought you'd be too excited so I toned it down to just Nimbasa. And it's to celebrate the end of the Deoxys incident, and your miraculous survival."
White couldn't help but smile, despite being worried of her health. "Thanks, Black. I really appreciate it."
"So, should I postpone it to a later date?" Black asked. "Because I don't want you to risk yourself. I'll wait until you're back to normal."
White gave him a warm smile. "I think I can handle it today. I've been waiting for this, you know." She gave him a quick hug and a quick kiss to the cheek. "Come on, Black. Let's go now. I need to distract myself from work. You know how it is."
There. Quick and simple. And a happy ending. A rare thing in my stories, apparently.
And no SY2. Because that's stupid. An experimentation story shall have no successor. Besides, I didn't set up for it. SY's epilogue has no teaser and is just a happy ending. So enjoy, and read DE to see similar things to SY (no Dex Holder mass reunion at all, thus allows the younger Dex Holders to mature in their own ways, like they are in SY).
