The Hunter gazed down at the dying old man. He grabbed his hat and put it over his heart. He was careful to not allow his tears to be seen. The Hunter's Dream forced him to hunt the many beasts of Yharnam. The First Hunter, Gehrman, accepted him and practically raised him. He was 12 at the time and is now 26. Gherman coughed and told him he surpassed him. He handed the Hunter the Burial Blade and asked for him to wield it. And with that Gehrman died a look of peace on his face.
"Thank you for everything, Grandpa Gehrman," the young Hunter murmurs. The moon's color turned from a white to a red. A beast descended from it and walked towards the Hunter. This beast was known as the Moon Presence. The Hunter turned holding the Burial Blade and rushed the beast. He swung the scythe for its neck but it jumped back. So the final battle began. The Moon Presence pawed at him, bit at him, and swung its tentacles to no avail. The Hunter would dodge or block the attacks. He transformed the Burial Blade into its blade form and swung. The Moon Presence blocked with a tentacle however. The battle went on like this for several minutes. Eventually, the Hunter slid on his knees underneath the beast and raised the Burial Blade as he did it. The cut nearly killed it but it stabbed him with a tentacle and threw him away. The Moon Presence knew it was doomed. The Hunter landed next to Gehrman's body and he realized he was dying. The silver flowers seemed to turn red as the Moon Presence died. He was just so tired.
"Hunter, if you sleep now, you will never wake again," a voice called out to him. He thought he recognized it but it did not matter. The Hunter laid his head down and "Don't sleep Hunter," the voice begged desperately. What the Hunter was unaware of was the fact the voice had shouted it. His eyes were heavy and they began to close. "Please, don't leave me," the voice begged, unfortunately for it the Hunter found his well deserved rest.
Bell Cranel was a level one adventurer on the 5th level of the dungeon. He knew he should not be here, but he and his Goddess needed the money. He heard something coming and saw a minotaur. Bell began running while turning corners. Unlucky, he found a dead end with a man in strange clothes sleeping. The minotaur cornered him and raised its fist. The minotaur was suddenly cut in half and the blood drenched Bell and the sleeping stranger.
"Are you two okay?" The woman who killed the minotaur asked.
"What's your name?" Bell managed to stammer out.
"Aiz Wallenstein," The now-named Aiz replied. Bell screams and runs off. Bell's scream awoke the stranger though. He checked for his weapon which he still had.
"Hey kid, where's the exit to this place?" The stranger asked. Aiz pointed towards the exit. The stranger thanked her and ran off.
Bell was shocked to see the stranger running to catch up with him. The stranger asked for his name and he asked for his. The stranger introduced himself as Malcom Wells. The two went to the Guild and that caused plenty of problems. Eina Tulle, Bell's advisor, was yelling at both of them. In the end, Bell took Malcom to meet Hestia, his Goddess.
Author's note. I know this story sucks but I liked the idea. And if any of you are wondering what Malcom is wearing, it's Gascoigne's Armor.
