Authors notes: This chapter may have come out a little too early. It is also shorter than it should be. I am going to strive to stay around the 3500-4000 word guidelines because it feels nice to have regularity. Anyway the wait is finally over NO MORE CLIFFHANGER. Get hype!

Chapter 5: Lets make a deal

Ugh. I guess I wasn't really in any pain but my head was completely numb. I always thought numb was one of them most uncomfortable feelings in the world. I couldn't even feel it when I pinched my cheek. It was about this time That I realized that I was in what appeared to be a stone room. Only there was no entrance to be seen and the only reason I wasn't smothering was a great on the roof. I definitely do not remember going to sleep here. Hmm that's odd. The last thing I remember was catching Azelf...

Holy crap there was an explosion. "Lilly are you there?"

…...

No answer. I closed my eyes and screamed as loud as I could in my head "LILLY WHERE ARE YOU?"

…..

After the most agonizing few seconds a week voice entered my head. "Calm down I'm right here."

"Oh. Lilly I was so scared for a second. Why didn't you answer me the first time?" Again it took a few seconds for her to reply.

"I am just so tired I am having trouble staying away. I have to go back over things in my head before I even realize they happened."

"...Are you O.K."

There was that dreadful pause again. "I'll be fine I just haven't slept in a little while."

"How long has a little while been?"

"Eh about a week and two days." My goodness. How is it even possible to stay awake that long?

"How did I get in this box?"

"Hold on I will call team galactic before I pass out they can explain this stuff..." and not even a second after she said that she appeared out of the air next to me and just fell over unconscious. I went over to her to make sure she was O.K. but she was only asleep. There was nothing I could do for her. So I sat around and waited... for what felt like an hour. I was beginning to thing she didn't alert team plasma before she fainted. I took some time to think about why I was being held prisoner by team plasma but I couldn't think of anything I had done against them. Now that I was looking through my memories something felt odd with them. Like I could remember them twice but with a different view-point. Different facts were highlighted for the same memory. But it was not for all memories. I couldn't recall two instances of my winning fight against drake. Something had to be in common with all these double memories... I couldn't figure it out and was about to give up when a Haunter floated into the room.

"Come with me." It said. It took me a minute to realize it spoke to me. His voice didn't sound like a psychics in my head. Must have been a ghost thing.

"O wow you know psychic. Please tell me, how did I get here?"

It gave me one of those 'What you talking about' looks like those two parts of the sentence made no sense to him before he said, "Come with me." Again and grabbed me. He dragged me across the ground and towards the wall. I tried to fight against him but he just turned us both intangible and I lost control. Being intangible was nothing like being in Lilly's stealth mode. It was like being cut off from your sense of touch completely, but you weren't. All I could feel was needles stabbing me everywhere. He continued to drag me towards the wall and then through it. I closed my eyes and held my breath as we passed through it but nothing bad happened; we emerged into what appeared to be a large gathering room for the leader to give speeches to the organization.

The left half of the room was raised and had a podium looking down the lower half of the room. Behind the podium there was a T.V monitor with a large gold G on it. The whole room was lined with red and black stripes and there were two large red banners with a large G on them. One for each side of the podium. But behind the podium was a person. He had a very odd outfit that could best be described by 'If spacesuits were a fashion statement this is what it would be' the whole outfit was black but he had a white vest and a gold G in the very center. The only other thing about him that was noticeable was his hair. It was blue and curved towards the outside to make two horns. He seemed to be around thirty years old but it was hard to tell.

While I was staring at him, Cole stepped up behind me and gave said "BOO!" While grabbing my shoulders. I wanted to say I didn't jump but I was really focused on the guy and Cole was definitely not in the room earlier.

I was a little mad but I could live with it. It was lonely without Lilly in my head pulling her pranks. And I was glad to know that he was alive after that explosion. "Haha very funny. How did you get in here? I didn't see you when I came in."

He turns around to point at a glowing yellow tile in the corner of the room. "This base is awesome. There are no stairs and only a few doors. You can get anywhere you want from these warp panels so long as it recognizes your ID. By the way how have you been feeling. Gardevoir had you unconscious for like a whole week while she was working." That didn't sound right. Why would Lilly keep me unconscious?

"What happened after that explosion?" I just had to know.

"I can tell you that," the guy who was behind the podium spoke up. Apparently he wasn't just content to sit there and watch our joyous reunion. "When I got to the lake you two had been almost beaten down by Azelf and I assumed that you would lose so I took the distraction to arm the galactic bomb. It's a beautiful piece of technology that not only destroys everything non organic but it also knocks all living creatures unconscious without harming them. I am not sure how our scientists managed this but it may be the greatest invention since robbery. Anyway rant aside, As the bomb ticked away I saw you two actually defeat Azelf. This in itself is a small accomplishment but what really caught my eye was the way you did it. That combination was pure genius and I have already had our scientists come up with several variations of it using dig and surf. Of course there were a few causalities but that's science for you. I mean just look at what you did to your Umbreon. If it weren't for our own personal Nurse Joy looking at it within hours of the attack It would probability have never been able to walk again."

This was a lot to take in all at once and he still never answered why Lilly had kept me unconscious for over a week. I remained silent and let him go on. "Of course you owe us a great deal for those medical expenses. But that is not important right now. After you two began waking up in our little dungeon that Gardevoir of yours flipped out and made sure to keep you asleep. We were going to sedate her and begin talking a deal with you two but apparently she made the mistake of remaining linked to you during the explosion. Of course after we took all the time to bring you here it would be a shame for you to just go insane so we made a deal with Cole here and let that Gardevoir begin undoing her little error."

I had to interrupt at this point. "Whats wrong with Lilly being linked to me when the explosion happened? She spends most of her time in my head."

"Well normally its fine, but being knocked unconscious while linked to a person means that the link is not broken for a while and if both the psychic and non psychic are unconscious then the psychic will begin to dream and share its whole mind with you. Her memories, her feeling, and even her Identity. You would have woken up extremely confused wondering if you were a Gardevoir or a human. You would have very quickly developed a split personality and then merged both of them thinking you are some weird Pokemon-human hybrid. Simply put it's the bases on the crudest but most permanent form of mind control. The annoying thing is we don't have the time to give you psycho-therapy for the few years it takes to get you back to your old self. And the only one who can cure it is the psychic who did the link cause only it knows what memories and felling are its and which are not. So we agreed to let her work while we carried our plans further."

"And now that you are up and ready to go." He went on, "I give you a deal. Our plans all lead up to this one last mission. But we also have three annoying little kids that have learned of our plans and are attempting to stop it from happening. Of course we can recruit an army to defend us but we don't have time. The longer we wait the more time the league has to catch on to our plans and do something about them. So we want you two to come with us up to mount coronet and keep those kids busy while we work. This is a good deal considering how much we did for your Umbreon and ... rather unique Ampharos." Oh crap. I had somehow completely forgot about poor Amphy. I wonder how he is doing. He can't be doing too badly since he is mentioning helping it.

I was going to say something like what would you do if we refused but something in me just didn't want a repeat of what happened last time I said that. Instead I thought about it for real. "So we don't have to kill anyone or steal anyone's Pokémon, right?"

He smiled a little me. He was probably happy that I didn't outright refuse. A willing slave is always better than one you have to force to do its job. "Nope all you have to do is fight a few little trainers. We don't even expect you to win, just distract them long enough for us to finish our plan for a new world."

"And we only have to help you for one mission? After that we are free to go?"

He smiled even harder. "If this mission is a success we will have no need for any trainers." Sigh I really didn't like what ever this plan was but there doesn't appear to be a way out of it... I really need to take some self-defense classes or something. I am starting to see a pattern with these deals.

"I want Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie." I said. I already guessed if he went to the work to capture Azelf, he must have captured the others.

"That's quite a request for someone who just saved your life. But they have already served their purpose. You can have them."

"Alright, If Cole agrees I guess I agree."

"Great so you both agree. We have some plans to undergo. I will expect you here for the rally at six. Until then you may want to make sure all of your Pokémon are caught up and wont try to betray us or something stupid like that. Wouldn't want to put down our new members for a misunderstanding would we?"

He walked away from the podium and onto a teleport panel behind the podium and disappeared in a flash of light. I took a few seconds too think of Shaymin and hoped it would be patient while we were on this little side project. After all I may have just caught three legendaries instead of just one.

I turned to Cole who had just been standing there all quiet. He smiled and said, "Ha I have had you with me for less than two weeks and we have already joined a criminal organization. Don't worry they treat their members pretty well. As long as we do our jobs that is."

"Cole what was the deal you made?"

"Nothing important just a free island. Its pretty nice and no humans travel their. Going to make a great vacationing place when all this is done. Also something about keeping a friend sane." Wow he sold himself to help me. I just stood there unable to comprehend where to go from there. Luckily he broke the silence.

"So how about we go get your Pokémon back so I can stop worrying about your Umbreon and Amphaross." You know I am pretty worried about them too. I motioned for him to continue and he walked to one of the teleporters. "Have you used one of these yet?"

"No what do I do?" I was feeling more than a little bit uneasy about this. Teleporting hasn't always been kind to me. But it wont keep me from my Pokémon.

"Well all you have to do is scan your ID on this panel and then select what room you want to go to on the floor plan. Its simple and pretty awesome. But for convenience's sake it saves the last input so if everyone is going to the same place they only have to scan and walk on the pad." That did sound pretty cool. He handed me my new ID and let me scan it to get used to the system. It was Just like scanning your trainer card. But after it read the card, the screen changed into a new picture showing the whole building. I pressed the one marked pokemon center. The screen turned to say please step on the pad. I did and in a flash of yellow the world disappeared.

After thoughts: This chapter might be short but a lot of stuff happens in it. There is a lot to take in and it is going to lead to a lot of odd things in the future. Kids don't ever join criminal organizations. Its generally not worth it.

Thoughts for the next chapter: I have been slightly holding this one off because the story that has previously had a lonely feel may become too crowded. I am not very good at characterizing yet but I am sure I will get some practice in the next couple chapters. Also I will probably be editing this one for a while till it sounds just right.
