Welcome to the second chapter of the day, everybody! I know this is another short chapter, but the next one will be much longer. Now, this chapter will revolve around Owen and everyone trying to stop the group of Krokorok from destroying Nimbasa City! How will they be able to do that? Let's find out!

"Snivy, let's go help those people!" Owen shouted while running down a street by the Pokemon Center. After arriving in Nimbasa City, he and the others split up in order to help stop the Krokorok. Despite defeating dozens of Krokorok, the group of trainers had yet to clear the city. Owen continued searching for more Krokorok until he reached the Pokemon Center. Two Krokorok were trying to break the doors down, so Owen sprinted towards the dual ground and dark types. "Prinplup, come on out!"
"Plup Plup!" Prinplup cried as he was released from his Pokeball. The blue penguin looked at the two Krokorok and immediately understood the circumstances.
"Snivy, use Vine Whip! Prinplup, use Bubblebeam!" Owen commanded. Snivy began slapping both Krokorok violently with the two vines from her neck, and Prinplup unleashed a flurry of bubbles at the two Krokorok. Both ground types were pummeled by the super effective attacks before charging towards Owen and his Pokemon.
"Krok!" they both cried while jumping in the air in an attempt to attack.
"Now use Leaf Tornado, Snivy! Prinplup, knock 'em out with Whirlpool!" Snivy threw her tail towards both Krokorok, and they were trapped inside the tornado that had leaves cutting both Pokemon. Then, Prinplup formed an enormous spinning pool of water in his flippers before throwing at the two immobilized Pokemon. Both crocodiles were sent flying away from the Pokemon Center, and Snivy and Prinplup cheered victoriously.
After realizing there was more work to be done, Owen stopped pumping his fist and his two Pokemon stopped dancing. Nurse Joy peeped her head outside the Pokemon Center and spotted Owen and his Pokemon making their way down the street, and she smiled at Owen.
"Thank you for your help!" she shouted while waving to the teenager. Owen somehow managed to nod and wave while running down the street and making eye contact with Nurse Joy (just because he's that super-awesome).
"Tranquill, take to the skies and find another group of Krokorok!" Tranquill exploded from her Pokeball and soared through the air while trying to find more of the ground and dark type Pokemon. While flying, Tranquill spotted CJ and his Pokemon fighting off several Krokorok that were harassing a family. What he didn't realize, was a bipedal Pokemon chasing after him, hoping to warn the trainer of the danger he was walking into.
~~~ (Just for future reference, that sign means scene shift)
"Leaf, use Razor Leaf!" CJ shouted. Leaf sent several sharp leaves towards the five Krokorok that were trying to bite a man, woman, and their two little girls. Once the super effective attack landed, the Unova Pokemon turned and began to snap at CJ and his three Pokemon. "Wotter, Razor Shell them! Excalibur, back Wotter up with Metal Claw!" CJ shouted. A flash of power flickered in Wotter's eyes before he bolted towards the Krokorok, while Excalibur trailed right behind him.
"Rok!" The lead Krokorok stepped forward and tried biting Wotter, but he grabbed the Pokemon's tongue and slammed him straight against the ground, knocking the wild Pokemon out instantly. Then, Wotter pulled the scalchop off his chest and began slashing wildly at the two Krokorok to the left of the family, while Excalibur slashed at the two on the right. After avoiding several Bite and Slash attacks, Wotter and Excalibur sent their opponents flying back into the first Krokorok, and they formed a pile.
"Way to go, everybody! Leaf, use Solarbeam and send them flying into the woods!" CJ ordered while pointing at the trees in the back of the city after running to Wotter's and Excalibur's sides with Leaf. After charging an enormous amount of solar energy, Leaf fired a blinding white light of energy that exploded as soon as it made contact with the group of wild Pokemon.
"Thank you so much! If you hadn't shown up, we would've been done for!" the woman exclaimed while looking at CJ and his Pokemon.
"It's no problem. Stay safe!" he replied before running to a different street to find more Krokorok.
"Rose, use Sludge! Angel, keep it up with Ember! Sawk, Brick Break!" Fate shouted. The tiny Trubbish fired a series of poison balls at the Krokorok in front of the ferris wheel. The ground types were hit by the ineffective attack and began charging towards Fate and her Pokemon. Sawk ran forwards while his fists were glowing white, and he began striking each of the four Krokorok that had circled around him. The fighting type spun away from several of the attacks and even did a split to avoid being punched. After knocking them all away from the people around the ferris wheel, Fate kept her eyes locked on the Krokorok.
Angel stepped forward and released several bullets of fire from her snout and towards the downed Krokorok. The beaten Pokemon were pelted by the attack, but it wasn't strong enough to blow them out of the city. Thankfully for Fate, Hez stepped forward and let a Hydro Pump loose. All four Krokorok had their eyes shoot wide open before they were crushed by the wicked attack and sent flying back into the woods.
"Way to go!"
"Yeah! You rock!" People began to scream for Fate. The girl gave a courtesy before heading back into the city to find more Krokorok.
"How are you holding up, Rebecca?" Blake asked as he, his Growlithe, and newly caught Braviary continued to fight off three of the six Krokorok that had surrounded them.
"We're fine! Deerling, use Double Kick! Deino, keep it up with Dragonbreath!" the girl replied before refocusing on her three foes. Her powerful Deerling landed two monstrous kicks on two different Krokorok, sending them flying into a river. Deino followed his teammate's performance by blowing the ground and dark type into the river along with its two friends.
"Braviary, use Aerial Ace, and use Flamethrower, Growlithe!" After being charred to a crisp by Growlithe's stunning Flamethrower, Braviary slammed into the wild Pokemon viciously. After they were knocked out, Braviary picked each of them up with his feet and hurled them a country mile. "Nice job, guys! You were awesome!" Blake told his Pokemon. The two creatures nodded back gratefully before looking for more enemies to take on.
"Where are we headed now?" Rebecca asked, noticing the absence of the Krokorok population. Blake also noticed that there were no more Krokorok, so he stopped running and looked around the city, trying to think of things to do.
"I don't know. Let's check around to make sure there aren't anymore Krokorok bothering people," he answered before walking away. "Braviary, would you mind giving us an eye in the sky?" The flying type shook his head before taking to the air and flying over the streets.
"Hang in there, guys!" Owen called to Snivy, Puff, and Prinplup. The three Pokemon struggled to get back up, and were facing eight Krokorok. Tranquill had tried backing up Snivy and Prinplup earlier, but Owen needed her to continued flying, so he decided to send out Puff. Despite the extra backup, they were getting their butts kicked. Both Blitzle and Heatmor were at type disadvantages, so that limited Owen's choices dramatically.
"Kroka!" one of the four remaining Krokorok cried as it lunged forward and prepared to snap its jaws on Snivy. Owen quickly ran in front of his Pokemon and threw his arms out to create a wall. As result of his poor decision, Owen's left leg was bit viciously.
"Aaagh!" he shouted before falling to the ground and holding his bleeding leg. The four conscious Krokorok stood over him and his injured Pokemon while laughing and deciding who would finish off the three Pokemon and their trainer. Eventually, the one that had bitten Owen stepped forward and began licking his lips. The Krokorok's head swung up and it prepared to bite Owen one more time, but dozens of sharp stones struck the foe Krokorok and the other three. Owen pushed himself up despite the horrible pain in his leg to see none other than a Krokorok running his way.
"Rok!" the sprinting Pokemon roared before jumping over Owen and unleashing a flurry of kicks, bites, and punches. Owen watched the random Pokemon take down the four wild Pokemon before sending them flying across the street and away from the sports arena. The Krokorok then walked over to Owen and helped him up, along with his three downed Pokemon.
"Thanks for the help," Owen told the Pokemon, who nodded in response. Owen withdrew Prinplup and Puff back to their Pokeballs because he was worried about their health. Snivy then climbed onto Owen's shoulder, and the grass type smiled down at the strange Krokorok standing in front of them. The ground and dark type looked very confident, but was looking around nervously.
"Krok," the evolved Pokemon started. He turned and looked behind Owen, seeing what he feared the most. Krokorok grabbed Owen's vest and threw him off to the side of the street before running forwards. Before Owen could yell at the Krokorok that had just thrown him, he saw it collided with another Pokemon that looked very similar. The larger of the two had red skin and a large nose that went about a foot out. The bigger Pokemon easily overpowered Krokorok and hurled him back to Owen's side, which led to Owen pulling out his Pokedex.
"Krookodile, the Intimidation Pokemon, and the evolved form of Krokorok. They never allow prey to escape. Their jaws are so powerful, they can crush the body of an automobile."
Owen shuddered at the Pokedex entry and slowly got back on his feet. He looked over at the Krokorok that was now standing by his side and drew a Pokeball from his belt.
"Heatmor, we need some help!" Owen shouted. Heatmor appeared in front of Owen and next to the Krokorok that was helping fight off the Krookodile. Heatmor prepared to attack the Krookodile, but the fully evolved Pokemon began snapping at Krokorok. Again, Owen pulled out his Pokedex and used the translator app to understand the conversation.
"What are you doing? You're supposed to be attacking them, not us!" Krookodile shouted.
"I never wanted to invade Nimbasa! We formed to keep trainers from attacking us, and look at what we've become! This trainer is just trying to keep us from destroying this city!" Krokorok shot back, causing Krookodile to growl angrily.
"So you're siding with the humans!? That's it, you're dead to our gang!" Krookodile roared before dashing towards Krokorok.
"Heatmor, use Flame Burst!" Owen countered. Heatmor reared back and unleashed a powerful bullet of fire that struck Krookodile and sent him stumbling back. The large, red, wild Pokemon turned his attention to Heatmor and began snapping his jaws before digging a hole in the ground. Owen and Heatmor looked around worriedly before Krookodile shot out of the ground right under Heatmor, and the fire type was uppercut in the chin.
After landing on his back, Heatmor looked up to see Krokorok slashing at Krookodile, who was slashing right back. Both Pokemon went blow for blow before their Slash attacks collided. A massive explosion occurred, and Krokorok was sent rolling back alongside Heatmor. Without a seconds hesitation, Heatmor jumped into the smoke and began searching for Krookodile.
"Heatmor, use Flame Wheel and start spinning on the ground!" Owen commanded. Heatmor did as he was told, and Owen could tell when the smoke began to spin and turn into a pillar. After stopping the Flame Wheel, Heatmor hopped onto his feet but couldn't find Krookodile. Again, Krookodile sprung out of the ground and uppercut Heatmor in the chin. After he smacked against the ground, Heatmor popped back up and turned to see Krokorok standing by his side. Krokorok then ran forwards and opened his jaws after lunging at Krookodile. The fully evolved Pokemon slammed his fist straight down on Krokorok's head before picking his former gang member up off the ground.
"Krooka!" Krookodile grunted loudly as he threw Krokorok into the air.
"Heatmor, hit Krookodile with Flame Burst before he can hurt Krokorok!" Owen shouted. Heatmor landed another Flame Burst attack, which enraged Krookodile. What made him even angrier was Krokorok landing on his hands and rolling away before running to Owen's side. Heatmor and Krokorok both readied themselves for another attack, but Krookodile began to backpedal.
Owen and the two Pokemon were confused by Krookodile's actions, but let out a sigh of relief. The large red Pokemon then pointed at the group of three and brought his finger up to his neck, telling them he would kill the teen and Pokemon. Owen and Heatmor looked worried by the threat, but Krokorok wasn't fazed by it. In the blink of an eye, Krookodile dug a hole in the ground and disappeared, so Owen dropped to the ground in exhaustion. Snivy hopped off his shoulder and made her way over to Heatmor and Krokorok, both of whom looked fatigued. Owen watched the three converse and smiled at them.
(Switch POV)
"Thanks for helping us out," Snivy told Krokorok.
"No problem. You guys might not want to rush into stuff like that, though," Krokorok told Snivy condescendingly. "You're not strong enough to fight with these guys."
"What do you mean 'we're not strong enough'?" Heatmor asked angrily. "I just helped you out, you ungrateful jerk!" Krokorok looked at the annoyed fire type and fell on his back laughing. "What's so funny!?" Heatmor shouted before he grabbed Krokorok's arm.
"Hey!" the ground and dark type snapped, causing Snivy to flinch. Heatmor, however, was too irate to flinch. "First, don't touch me. Second, you didn't do anything. If Krookodile wanted to, he could've finished both of us off if he wanted to. None of you or the other Pokemon are strong enough to deal with that guy," Krokorok told Heatmor and Snivy.
(Switch POV)
"Owen!" The teen turned to see Fate, CJ, Rebecca, and Blake running towards him with all of their Pokemon in tow. "Are you okay? We saw smoke and figured it was you being stupid," Fate asked.
"I'm fine. We hit a little bump in the road, but everything's all good," Owen answered. "Actually, if Krokorok over there didn't come in and help us, I don't want to think about what would've happened," Owen told everyone. They then turned their attention to Krokorok, who waved tiredly before standing up and walking over to Owen. The Pokemon helped the teen up once again before bowing.
Owen bowed in response and watched as the random Pokemon walked away from the group.
"Krokorok, wait!" Owen called. Krokorok turned and walked back to Owen, waiting for the trainer to speak up. "I challenge you to a battle. If I win, you join me. If you win, I'll leave you alone," Owen proposed. The ground and dark type looked up at Owen before finally nodding. Before Owen could say anything else, Krokorok pointed at Heatmor, telling Owen who he wanted to face.
"Deal. But we need to get healed up first."
"This battle will be between Heatmor and Krokorok! The winner of this battle will win the wager! Begin!" CJ shouted while throwing his arms in the air. Everyone had made their ways back to the Pokemon Center and were now sitting at the practice battlefield, where Owen and Krokorok were battling.
"Heatmor, start with Hone Claws and then use Flame Wheel!" Owen shouted. Heatmor grew long glowing claws before they disappeared. A red ring of energy spiraled around Heatmor before vanishing. The fire type then covered himself in flames before spinning towards Krokorok angrily.
Krokorok growled bitterly before darting towards Heatmor. Krokorok's claws began to glow bright blue and he slashed at the incoming ball of fire that was Heatmor. The two moves collided and cancelled each other out. Both Pokemon took a fair amount of damage, but they refused to show the other that they were bothered by the attacks.
"Try using Flame Burst, Heatmor!" Owen yelled. Heatmor reared back and shot a large red bullet of fire at Krokorok, and the ground and dark type was knocked back by the powerful fire type attack. The wild Pokemon hopped back up despite the power behind Heatmor's attack, and he dashed towards his anteater foe.
Krokorok jumped into the air while his claws were glowing blue once again, and he slashed Heatmor across the chest. Then, while Heatmor stumbled back, Krokorok bit his arm, causing Heatmor to cry in pain. The fire type tried shaking his opponent off, but was unsuccessful. His anger began to boil quickly, and Heatmor began to fade in and out of consciousness. The fire type managed to maintain his consciousness unlike last time at the Castelia City Contest.
"Heatmor, use Flame Burst!" Heatmor refused to listen to his trainer, and he began to slam Krokorok against the ground violently. The crocodile lost his grip immediately, but Heatmor continued to strike Krokorok. Krokorok curled up in a ball in an attempt to soften the ferocious blows. His plan failed, but Krokorok managed to swing his tail, and he swiped Heatmor's legs out from underneath him.
Krokorok then hopped back and fired a series of sharp stones that pummeled Heatmor. The fire type was sent rolling back and was covered in cuts from the powerful Stone Edge, but he got back up. Both Pokemon looked like they were at the brink of fainting, so Owen went for broke.
"Heatmor, use Flame Wheel!" Heatmor began spinning and covered himself in flames before spinning towards Krokorok at a breakneck pace.
Krokorok, meanwhile, bolted towards Heatmor while his claws began to glow blue again. The two moves collided for a second time and they battled back and forth for a few seconds. Eventually, Krokorok overpowered Heatmor and slashed him across the chest, sending Heatmor skidding across the battlefield and back to Owen's side. The fire type's eyes were shut tight, and Krokorok began pounding his chest victoriously.
"Thanks, Heatmor. You gave it your all, and that's all I can ask for," Owen told the fire type. Heatmor looked up before seeing Krokorok glaring at him before he fainted in Owen's arms. After returning Heatmor to his Pokeball, Owen stood up and looked down at Krokorok. "That was an awesome battle, Krokorok. You're free to go," Owen said before turning around to pick Snivy up and place her on his shoulder.
"Kroka," the ground and dark type grunted, causing Owen to turn around. Krokorok nodded at Owen and stepped closer to the trainer, making Owen grin.
"Great! We're happy to have you aboard," Owen said before throwing a Pokeball at Krokorok. The ground and dark type was sucked inside the Pokeball, which began to shake.
Ping!
Owen walked over to the Pokeball and picked it up. It instantly shrunk and vanished into thin air, so Owen made his way to the inside of the Pokemon Center so he could get his new Pokemon and heal Heatmor. He was excited about the addition of Krokorok because of his confident attitude and strength, which he was sure would be a welcomed addition. Krokorok was going to help him win his upcoming gym battle, and more importantly, the Unova League.
There's the end of the second chapter of the day! I'm going to try to get another up today, but I'm not totally sure I'll be able to. Moving on, Owen managed to stop the Krokorok invasion, and he even caught one of them. Krokorok will be adding some spunk to the team, and he'll get into some fights with the others. So, Owen will be taking on Elesa next chapter, and Fate's contest will begin right after. Till next time, peace out.
